1 Now these428 are the words1697 of the letter5612 that Jeremiah3414 the prophet5030 sent7971 from Jerusalem3389 to the residue3499 of the elders2205 which were carried1473 away captives,1473 and to the priests,3548 and to the prophets,5030 and to all3605 the people5971 whom834 Nebuchadnezzar5019 had carried1540 away captive1473 from Jerusalem3389 to Babylon;894

4 So spricht559 der HErr3068 Zebaoth6635, der GOtt430 Israels3478, zu allen Gefangenen1473, die ich habe von Jerusalem3389 lassen wegführen1540 gen Babel894:

4 Thus3541 said559 the LORD3068 of hosts,6635 the God430 of Israel,3478 to all3605 that are carried1473 away captives,1473 whom834 I have caused to be carried1540 away from Jerusalem3389 to Babylon;894

5 Bauet1129 Häuser1004, darin ihr3427 wohnen möget; pflanzet5193 Gärten1593, daraus ihr die Früchte6529 essen398 möget;
|
5 Build1129 you houses,1004 and dwell3427 in them; and plant5193 gardens,1593 and eat398 the fruit6529 of them;
|

6 nehmet Weiber802 und5414 zeuget3205 Söhne1121 und Töchter1323; nehmet euren Söhnen Weiber802 und gebet euren Töchtern Männer582, daß sie3947 Söhne und Töchter zeugen; mehret7235 euch daselbst, daß euer nicht3947 wenig4591 sei.

6 Take3947 you wives,802 and beget3205 sons1121 and daughters;1323 and take3947 wives802 for your sons,1121 and give5414 your daughters1323 to husbands,582 that they may bear3205 sons1121 and daughters;1323 that you may be increased7235 there,8033 and not diminished.4591

7 Suchet der Stadt5892 Bestes7965, dahin1540 ich1875 euch habe lassen wegführen, und betet6419 für sie zum HErrn3068; denn wenn‘s ihr wohlgehet, so gehet es euch auch wohl.

7 And seek1875 the peace7965 of the city5892 where834 8033 I have caused you to be carried1540 away captives,1540 and pray6419 to the LORD3068 for it: for in the peace7965 thereof shall you have1961 peace.7965

8 Denn so spricht559 der HErr3068 Zebaoth6635, der GOtt430 Israels3478: Laßt euch die7130 Propheten5030, die bei euch sind, und die Wahrsager7080 nicht betrügen5377 und gehorchet8085 euren Träumen2472 nicht, die euch träumen2492;

8 For thus3541 said559 the LORD3068 of hosts,6635 the God430 of Israel;3478 Let not your prophets5030 and your diviners,7080 that be in the middle7130 of you, deceive5377 you, neither408 listen8085 to your dreams2472 which834 you cause to be dreamed.2492

9 denn sie weissagen5012 euch falsch8267 in meinem Namen8034. Ich habe sie nicht gesandt7971, spricht5002 der HErr3068.

9 For they prophesy5012 falsely8267 to you in my name:8034 I have not sent7971 them, said5002 the LORD.3068
|
|
10 Denn so spricht559 der HErr3068: Wenn zu Babel894 siebenzig Jahre8141 aus sind4390, so will ich euch besuchen und will mein gnädiges2896 Wort6310 über6485 euch erwecken6965, daß1697 ich euch wieder7725 an diesen Ort4725 bringe.

10 For thus3541 said559 the LORD,3068 That after6310 seventy7657 years8141 be accomplished4390 at Babylon894 I will visit6485 you, and perform6965 my good2896 word1697 toward5921 you, in causing you to return7725 to this2088 place.4725

11 Denn ich weiß3045 wohl, was ich für Gedanken4284 über euch2803 habe, spricht5002 der HErr3068, nämlich Gedanken4284 des Friedens7965 und nicht7451 des Leides, daß ich euch gebe5414 das Ende319, des ihr wartet8615.

11 For I know3045 the thoughts4284 that I think2803 toward5921 you, said5002 the LORD,3068 thoughts4284 of peace,7965 and not of evil,7451 to give5414 you an expected8615 end.319

12 Und ihr werdet mich anrufen7121 und hingehen und mich bitten6419, und ich will euch1980 erhören8085.
|
12 Then shall you call7121 on me, and you shall go1980 and pray6419 to me, and I will listen8085 to you.
|
|
13 Ihr werdet mich suchen1245 und finden4672. Denn so ihr mich von ganzem Herzen3824 suchen1875 werdet,
|
13 And you shall seek1245 me, and find4672 me, when3588 you shall search1875 for me with all3605 your heart.3824
|
|
14 so will7725 ich mich von euch finden4672 lassen, spricht5002 der HErr3068, und will7725 euer Gefängnis7622 wenden und euch sammeln6908 aus allen Völkern1471 und von allen Orten4725, dahin ich euch verstoßen5080 habe, spricht5002 der HErr3068; und will euch wiederum an diesen Ort4725 bringen1540, von dannen ich euch habe lassen wegführen.

14 And I will be found4672 of you, said5002 the LORD:3068 and I will turn7725 away your captivity,7622 and I will gather6908 you from all3605 the nations,1471 and from all3605 the places4725 where834 8033 I have driven5080 you, said5002 the LORD;3068 and I will bring7725 you again7725 into413 the place4725 from where834 8033 I caused you to be carried1540 away captive.1540

15 Denn ihr meinet, der HErr3068 habe6965 euch zu Babel894 Propheten5030 auferweckt.

15 Because3588 you have said,559 The LORD3068 has raised6965 us up prophets5030 in Babylon;894

16 Denn also spricht559 der HErr3068 vom Könige4428, der auf Davids1732 Stuhl3678 sitzt3427, und5892 von3318 allem Volk5971, das in dieser Stadt3427 wohnet, nämlich von euren Brüdern251, die nicht mit euch hinaus gefangen1473 gezogen sind;

16 Know that thus3541 said559 the LORD3068 of the king4428 that sits3427 on the throne3678 of David,1732 and of all3605 the people5971 that dwells3427 in this2063 city,5892 and of your brothers251 that are not gone3318 forth3318 with you into captivity;1473

17 ja, also spricht der HErr3068 Zebaoth6635: Siehe, ich will Schwert2719, Hunger7458 und5414 Pestilenz1698 unter sie559 schicken7971 und will mit ihnen umgehen wie mit den bösen7455 Feigen8384, da einem vor ekelt zu essen398;

17 Thus3541 said559 the LORD3068 of hosts;6635 Behold,2005 I will send7971 on them the sword,2719 the famine,7458 and the pestilence,1698 and will make5414 them like vile8182 figs,8384 that cannot3808 be eaten,398 they are so evil.7455

18 und8047 will hinter310 ihnen her2189 sein7291 mit Schwert2719, Hunger7458 und2781 Pestilenz1698; und will sie in keinem Königreich4467 auf Erden776 bleiben lassen5414, daß sie sollen zum Fluch423, zum Wunder, zum Hohn und zum Spott8322 unter allen Völkern1471 werden, dahin ich sie verstoßen5080 werde,

18 And I will persecute7291 310 them with the sword,2719 with the famine,7458 and with the pestilence,1698 and will deliver5414 them to be removed2189 to all3605 the kingdoms4467 of the earth,776 to be a curse,423 and an astonishment,8047 and an hissing,8322 and a reproach,2781 among all3605 the nations1471 where834 8033 I have driven5080 them:

19 darum daß sie meinen Worten nicht gehorchen, spricht5002 der HErr3068, der ich meine Knechte5650, die Propheten5030, zu8085 euch stets7925 gesandt7971 habe1697; aber ihr wolltet nicht hören8085, spricht5002 der HErr3068.

19 Because8478 834 they have not listened8085 to my words,1697 said5002 the LORD,3068 which834 I sent7971 to them by my servants5650 the prophets,5030 rising7925 up early7925 and sending7971 them; but you would not hear,8085 said5002 the LORD.3068

20 Ihr aber alle, die ihr gefangen1473 seid weggeführet, die ich von Jerusalem3389 habe gen Babel894 ziehen7971 lassen8085, höret des HErrn3068 Wort1697!

20 Hear8085 you therefore the word1697 of the LORD,3068 all3605 you of the captivity,1473 whom834 I have sent7971 from Jerusalem3389 to Babylon:894

21 So spricht der HErr3068 Zebaoth6635, der GOtt430 Israels3478, wider Ahab256, den Sohn1121 Kolajas6964, und wider Zedekia6667, den Sohn1121 Masejas, die euch falsch8267 weissagen5012 in meinem Namen8034: Siehe, ich will sie559 geben5414 in die Hände3027 Nebukadnezars5019, des Königs4428 zu Babel894, der soll sie schlagen5221 lassen vor euren Augen5869,

21 Thus3541 said559 the LORD3068 of hosts,6635 the God430 of Israel,3478 of Ahab256 the son1121 of Kolaiah,6964 and of Zedekiah6667 the son1121 of Maaseiah,4641 which prophesy5012 a lie8267 to you in my name;8034 Behold,2009 I will deliver5414 them into the hand3027 of Nebuchadrezzar5019 king4428 of Babylon;894 and he shall slay5221 them before your eyes;5869

22 daß man559 wird aus denselbigen einen Fluch7045 machen7760 unter allen Gefangenen1546 aus Juda3063, die zu Babel894 sind, und sagen: Der HErr3068 tue dir wie Zedekia6667 und Ahab256, welche der König4428 zu Babel894 auf3947 Feuer784 braten ließ7033,

22 And of them shall be taken3947 up a curse7045 by all3605 the captivity1546 of Judah3063 which834 are in Babylon,894 saying,559 The LORD3068 make7760 you like Zedekiah6667 and like Ahab,256 whom834 the king4428 of Babylon894 roasted7033 in the fire;784

23 darum daß sie6680 eine Torheit5039 in Israel3478 begingen und6213 trieben Ehebruch5003 mit der andern7453 Weibern802 und predigten1696 falsch8267 in meinem Namen8034, das1697 ich ihnen nicht befohlen hatte6213. Solches weiß3045 ich und zeuge5707 es, spricht5002 der HErr3068.

23 Because3282 834 they have committed6213 villainy5039 in Israel,3478 and have committed6213 adultery5003 with their neighbors'7453 wives,802 and have spoken1696 lying8267 words1697 in my name,8034 which834 I have not commanded6680 them; even I know,3045 and am a witness,5707 said5002 the LORD.3068

24 Und wider Semaja8098 von Nehalam5161 sollst du559 sagen559:

24 Thus shall you also speak559 to Shemaiah8098 the Nehelamite,5161 saying,559
|

25 So spricht559 der HErr3068 Zebaoth6635, der GOtt430 Israels3478: Darum daß du559 unter deinem Namen8034 hast Briefe5612 gesandt7971 zu allem Volk5971, das zu Jerusalem3389 ist, und3548 zum Priester Zephanja6846, dem Sohn1121 Masejas, und zu allen Priestern3548 und gesagt559:

25 Thus3541 speaks559 the LORD3068 of hosts,6635 the God430 of Israel,3478 saying,559 Because3282 834 you have sent7971 letters5612 in your name8034 to all3605 the people5971 that are at Jerusalem,3389 and to Zephaniah6846 the son1121 of Maaseiah4641 the priest,3548 and to all3605 the priests,3548 saying,559

26 Der HErr3068 hat5012 dich zum Priester gesetzt5414 anstatt des Priesters3548 Jehojada, daß ihr sollt Aufseher6496 sein im Hause1004 des HErrn3068 über alle Wahnsinnigen7696 und3548 Weissager, daß du sie5414 in Kerker4115 und376 Stock6729 legest.

26 The LORD3068 has made5414 you priest3548 in the stead8478 of Jehoiada3111 the priest,3548 that you should be officers6496 in the house1004 of the LORD,3068 for every man376 that is mad,7696 and makes himself a prophet,5012 that you should put5414 him in prison,4115 and in the stocks.6729

27 Nun, warum strafst1605 du denn nicht Jeremia3414 von Anathoth6069, der euch weissaget,

27 Now6258 therefore why4100 have you not reproved1605 Jeremiah3414 of Anathoth,6068 which makes himself a prophet5012 to you?

28 darum daß er zu uns1129 gen Babel894 geschickt hat5193 und lassen sagen559: Es wird7971 noch lange währen; bauet Häuser1004, darin ihr3427 wohnet, und pflanzet Gärten1593, daß ihr die1931 Früchte6529 davon esset398.

28 For therefore5921 3651 he sent7971 to us in Babylon,894 saying,559 This1931 captivity is long:752 build1129 you houses,1004 and dwell3427 in them; and plant5193 gardens,1593 and eat398 the fruit6529 of them.

29 Denn Zephanja6846, der Priester, hatte denselben Brief5612 gelesen und3548 den Propheten5030 Jeremia3414 lassen7121 zuhören241.
|
29 And Zephaniah6846 the priest3548 read7121 this letter5612 in the ears241 of Jeremiah3414 the prophet.5030

30 Darum geschah des HErrn3068 Wort1697 zu Jeremia3414 und sprach559:

30 Then came1961 the word1697 of the LORD3068 to Jeremiah,3414 saying,559

|
31 Sende7971 hin zu allen Gefangenen1473 und laß ihnen sagen559: So spricht559 der HErr3068 wider Semaja8098 von Nehalam5161: Darum5012 daß euch Semaja8098 weissaget, und ich habe ihn doch nicht gesandt7971, und macht, daß ihr auf Lügen8267 vertrauet,

31 Send7971 to all3605 them of the captivity,1473 saying,559 Thus3541 said559 the LORD3068 concerning413 Shemaiah8098 the Nehelamite;5161 Because3282 834 that Shemaiah8098 has prophesied5012 to you, and I sent7971 him not, and he caused you to trust982 in a lie:8267

32 darum spricht5002 der HErr3068 also: Siehe, ich will Semaja8098 von Nehalam5161 heimsuchen6485 samt seinem Samen2233, daß der Seinen keiner376 soll7200 unter8432 diesem Volk5971 bleiben3427, und soll das Gute2896 nicht sehen, das ich meinem Volk5971 tun6213 will, spricht der HErr3068; denn er hat1696 sie559 mit seiner Rede vom HErrn3068 abgewendet5627.

32 Therefore3651 thus3541 said559 the LORD;3068 Behold,2005 I will punish6485 Shemaiah8098 the Nehelamite,5161 and his seed:2233 he shall not have1961 a man376 to dwell3427 among8432 this2088 people;5971 neither3808 shall he behold7200 the good2896 that I will do6213 for my people,5971 said5002 the LORD;3068 because3588 he has taught1696 rebellion5627 against5921 the LORD.3068
