1 До ангола Церкви в Ефе́сі напиши: „Оце каже Той, Хто трима́є сім зір у правиці Своїй, Хто ходить серед семи світильників золотих:

2 Я знаю діла твої, і працю твою, і твою терпеливі́сть, і що не можеш терпіти лихих, і ви́пробував тих, хто себе називає апо́столами, але ними не є, і знайшов, що фальшиві вони.

3 І ти маєш терпіння, і працюва́в для Йме́ння Мого, але не знемігся.

4 Але маю на тебе, що ти покинув свою першу любов.

5 Отож, пам'ятай, звідки ти впав, і покайся, і вчинки давніші роби. Коли ж ні, то до тебе прийду́ незаба́ром, і зру́шу твого світильника́ з його місця, якщо не покаєшся.

6 Але маєш оце, що нена́видиш учинки Николаї́тів, яких і Я нена́виджу.

7 Хто має вухо, хай чує, що Дух промовляє Церква́м: переможцеві дам їсти від дерева життя, яке в раю́ Божім“.

8 А до ангола Церкви в Смірні напиши: „Оце каже Перший й Останній, що був мертвий й ожив:

9 Я знаю діла твої, і біду́, і убозтво, — але ти багатий, — і зневагу тих, що говорять про себе, ніби юдеї вони, та ними не є, але вони — зборище сатани.

10 Не бійся того, що маєш страждати! Ось диявол вкидатиме декого з вас до в'язниць, щоб вас ви́пробувати. І будете мати біду́ десять день. Будь вірний до смерти, і Я тобі дам вінця́ життя!

11 Хто має вухо, хай чує, що́ Дух промовляє Церква́м: переможець не буде пошко́джений від другої смерти“.

12 А до ангола Церкви в Перга́мі напиши: „Оце каже Той, що має меча обосі́чного:

13 Я знаю діла твої, і що де ти живеш, там престол сатани. І трима́єш ти Йме́ння Моє, і ти не відкинувся від віри Моєї навіть за днів, коли в вас, де живе сатана́, був убитий Анти́па, свідок Мій вірний.

14 Але трохи Я маю на тебе, бо маєш там тих, хто трима́ється науки Валаа́ма, що навчав був Бала́ка покласти спотика́ння перед синами Ізраїля, щоб їли ідольські жертви й розпу́сту чинили.

15 Так маєш і ти таких, що трима́ються науки Николаїтської так само.

16 Тож покайся! Коли ж ні, то до тебе прийду́ незаба́ром, і воюватиму з ними мечем Своїх уст.

17 Хто має вухо, хай чує, що́ Дух промовляє Церква́м: переможцеві дам їсти прихо́вану манну, і дам йому білого каменя, а на камені написане ймення нове́, якого не знає ніхто, — тільки той, хто приймає його“.

18 І до ангола Церкви в Тіяти́рах напиши: „Оце каже Син Божий, що має очі Свої, як по́лум'я огняне́, а ноги Його подібні до міді:

19 Я знаю діла твої, і любов, і віру, і службу, і твою терпеливість, і останні вчинки твої, що більші за перші.

20 Але маю на тебе, що жінці Єзаве́лі, яка каже, ніби вона пророки́ня, ти попускаєш навчати та зводити рабів Моїх, чинити розпусту та їсти і́дольські жертви.

21 І Я дав був їй ча́су, щоб пока́ялася, — та вона не схотіла покаятися в розпусті своїй.

22 Ось Я кину її на ложе, а тих, що чинять із нею розпусту, у велику біду, коли тільки в учинках своїх не покаються,

23 а діти її поб'ю́ смертю. І пізнають усі Церкви́, що Я Той, Хто нирки й серця вивіря́є, і Я кожному з вас дам за вчинками вашими.

24 А вам, та іншим, що в Тіяти́рах, що не мають науки цієї, і — як кажуть — не розуміють так зва́них глиби́н сатани́, кажу́: не накладу́ на вас іншого тягара,

25 тільки те, що ви маєте, трима́йте, аж поки прийду́.

26 А переможцеві, і тому́, хто аж до кінця доде́ржує Мої вчинки, Я дам йому вла́ду „над поганами,

27 і буде пасти́ їх залізнним жезлом; вони, немов гли́няний по́суд, покру́шаться“, як і Я оде́ржав вла́ду від Свого́ Отця,

28 і дам Я йому зо́рю досві́тню.

29 Хто має вухо, хай чує, що́ Дух промовляє Церква́м!“

Revelation

Chapter 2

1 TO the angel * of the church of Eph'esus write: These things says the Omnipotent; who holds the seven stars in his right hand, who walks in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks;

2 I know your works, and your labour, and your patience, and how you cannot endure those who are ungodly: you have tried those who say they are apostles, and are not, and you have found them liars:

3 And you have patience, and you have borne burdens for my name's sake, and have not wearied.

4 Nevertheless I have something against you, because you have left your first love.

5 Remember therefore from whence you have fallen and repent and do the first works; or else I will come to you very soon, and I will remove your candlestick from its place except you repent.

6 But this you have in your favour, you hate the works of the Nic-o-la'i-tanes, which I also hate.

7 He who has ears, let him hear what the Spirit says unto the churches: To him who overcomes, I will give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of my God.

8 And to the angel of the church in Smyrna write, These things says the first and the last, which was dead and is alive:

9 I know your works and your suffering and poverty, but you are rich, and I know the blasphemy of those who say they are Jews, and are not, but are of the synagogue of Satan.

10 Fear none of those things which you shall suffer: behold, the devil will cast some of you into prison, that you be tried; and you will be oppressed for ten days: be faithful even to death, and I will give you a crown of life.

11 He who has ears, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches; He who overcomes shall not be hurt by the second death.

12 And to the angel of the church in Per'gamos write: These things says he who has the sharp two-edged sword;

13 I know your works and where you dwell even where Satan's seat is: And you uphold my name, and you did not deny my faith, even in those days when that witness of mine appeared, that faithful one of mine who was slain among you, where Satan dwells.

14 But I have a few things against you, because you have there those who hold the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed to idols, and to commit adultery.

15 And also you have those among you who hold to the teaching of the Nic-o-la'i-tanes.

16 Repent; or else I will come to you very soon, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.

17 He who has ears, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches; To him who overcomes, I will give to eat of the hidden manna, and I will give him a white stone, and on the stone a new name written, which no man knows except he who receives it.

18 And unto the angel of the church in Thya- ti'ra write: These things says the Son of God, who has eyes like unto a flame of fire, and whose feet are like fine brass from Lebanon;

19 I know your works, and love and faith, and service, and also your patience; and your last works are to be more abundant than the first.

20 Notwithstanding I have a few things against you, because you allowed that woman of yours Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication and to eat things sacrificed to idols.

21 And I gave her time to repent, but she did not repent from her fornication.

22 Behold I will cast her into a sick bed and those who commit adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of their deeds.

23 And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he who searches the reins and hearts: and I will give unto everyone of you according to your works.

24 But I say unto you, the rest of you in Thy-a-ti'ra, those of you who do not have this doctrine, and those who have not known, as they say, the depths of Satan, that I will not put upon you another burden.

25 But hold fast to that which you already have till I come.

26 And he who overcomes, and keeps my works unto the end, to him I will give authority over the nations:

27 And he shall shepherd them with a rod of iron; like the vessels of the potter, they shall be shattered: even as I was disciplined by my Father.

28 And I will give him the morning star.

29 He who has ears, let him hear what the Spirit says unto the churches.

1 До ангола Церкви в Ефе́сі напиши: „Оце каже Той, Хто трима́є сім зір у правиці Своїй, Хто ходить серед семи світильників золотих:

1 TO the angel * of the church of Eph'esus write: These things says the Omnipotent; who holds the seven stars in his right hand, who walks in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks;

2 Я знаю діла твої, і працю твою, і твою терпеливі́сть, і що не можеш терпіти лихих, і ви́пробував тих, хто себе називає апо́столами, але ними не є, і знайшов, що фальшиві вони.

2 I know your works, and your labour, and your patience, and how you cannot endure those who are ungodly: you have tried those who say they are apostles, and are not, and you have found them liars:

3 І ти маєш терпіння, і працюва́в для Йме́ння Мого, але не знемігся.

3 And you have patience, and you have borne burdens for my name's sake, and have not wearied.

4 Але маю на тебе, що ти покинув свою першу любов.

4 Nevertheless I have something against you, because you have left your first love.

5 Отож, пам'ятай, звідки ти впав, і покайся, і вчинки давніші роби. Коли ж ні, то до тебе прийду́ незаба́ром, і зру́шу твого світильника́ з його місця, якщо не покаєшся.

5 Remember therefore from whence you have fallen and repent and do the first works; or else I will come to you very soon, and I will remove your candlestick from its place except you repent.

6 Але маєш оце, що нена́видиш учинки Николаї́тів, яких і Я нена́виджу.

6 But this you have in your favour, you hate the works of the Nic-o-la'i-tanes, which I also hate.

7 Хто має вухо, хай чує, що Дух промовляє Церква́м: переможцеві дам їсти від дерева життя, яке в раю́ Божім“.

7 He who has ears, let him hear what the Spirit says unto the churches: To him who overcomes, I will give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of my God.

8 And to the angel of the church in Smyrna write, These things says the first and the last, which was dead and is alive:

9 Я знаю діла твої, і біду́, і убозтво, — але ти багатий, — і зневагу тих, що говорять про себе, ніби юдеї вони, та ними не є, але вони — зборище сатани.

9 I know your works and your suffering and poverty, but you are rich, and I know the blasphemy of those who say they are Jews, and are not, but are of the synagogue of Satan.

10 Не бійся того, що маєш страждати! Ось диявол вкидатиме декого з вас до в'язниць, щоб вас ви́пробувати. І будете мати біду́ десять день. Будь вірний до смерти, і Я тобі дам вінця́ життя!

10 Fear none of those things which you shall suffer: behold, the devil will cast some of you into prison, that you be tried; and you will be oppressed for ten days: be faithful even to death, and I will give you a crown of life.

11 Хто має вухо, хай чує, що́ Дух промовляє Церква́м: переможець не буде пошко́джений від другої смерти“.

11 He who has ears, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches; He who overcomes shall not be hurt by the second death.

12 А до ангола Церкви в Перга́мі напиши: „Оце каже Той, що має меча обосі́чного:

12 And to the angel of the church in Per'gamos write: These things says he who has the sharp two-edged sword;

13 Я знаю діла твої, і що де ти живеш, там престол сатани. І трима́єш ти Йме́ння Моє, і ти не відкинувся від віри Моєї навіть за днів, коли в вас, де живе сатана́, був убитий Анти́па, свідок Мій вірний.

13 I know your works and where you dwell even where Satan's seat is: And you uphold my name, and you did not deny my faith, even in those days when that witness of mine appeared, that faithful one of mine who was slain among you, where Satan dwells.

14 Але трохи Я маю на тебе, бо маєш там тих, хто трима́ється науки Валаа́ма, що навчав був Бала́ка покласти спотика́ння перед синами Ізраїля, щоб їли ідольські жертви й розпу́сту чинили.

16 Тож покайся! Коли ж ні, то до тебе прийду́ незаба́ром, і воюватиму з ними мечем Своїх уст.

16 Repent; or else I will come to you very soon, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.

17 Хто має вухо, хай чує, що́ Дух промовляє Церква́м: переможцеві дам їсти прихо́вану манну, і дам йому білого каменя, а на камені написане ймення нове́, якого не знає ніхто, — тільки той, хто приймає його“.

17 He who has ears, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches; To him who overcomes, I will give to eat of the hidden manna, and I will give him a white stone, and on the stone a new name written, which no man knows except he who receives it.

18 І до ангола Церкви в Тіяти́рах напиши: „Оце каже Син Божий, що має очі Свої, як по́лум'я огняне́, а ноги Його подібні до міді:

18 And unto the angel of the church in Thya- ti'ra write: These things says the Son of God, who has eyes like unto a flame of fire, and whose feet are like fine brass from Lebanon;

19 Я знаю діла твої, і любов, і віру, і службу, і твою терпеливість, і останні вчинки твої, що більші за перші.

19 I know your works, and love and faith, and service, and also your patience; and your last works are to be more abundant than the first.

21 І Я дав був їй ча́су, щоб пока́ялася, — та вона не схотіла покаятися в розпусті своїй.

21 And I gave her time to repent, but she did not repent from her fornication.

22 Ось Я кину її на ложе, а тих, що чинять із нею розпусту, у велику біду, коли тільки в учинках своїх не покаються,

22 Behold I will cast her into a sick bed and those who commit adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of their deeds.

23 а діти її поб'ю́ смертю. І пізнають усі Церкви́, що Я Той, Хто нирки й серця вивіря́є, і Я кожному з вас дам за вчинками вашими.

23 And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he who searches the reins and hearts: and I will give unto everyone of you according to your works.

24 А вам, та іншим, що в Тіяти́рах, що не мають науки цієї, і — як кажуть — не розуміють так зва́них глиби́н сатани́, кажу́: не накладу́ на вас іншого тягара,

24 But I say unto you, the rest of you in Thy-a-ti'ra, those of you who do not have this doctrine, and those who have not known, as they say, the depths of Satan, that I will not put upon you another burden.

25 тільки те, що ви маєте, трима́йте, аж поки прийду́.

26 А переможцеві, і тому́, хто аж до кінця доде́ржує Мої вчинки, Я дам йому вла́ду „над поганами,
