Розділ 11

1 І будеш ти любити Господа, Бога свого, і будеш доде́ржувати постанови Його, і звича́ї Його, і зако́ни Його, і заповіді Його по всі дні.

2 І ви пізнаєте сьогодні, — бо я навчаю не синів ваших, які не пізнали й не бачили кара́ння Господа, Бога вашого, — величність Його, руку Його сильну й раме́но Його ви́тягнене,

3 і ознаки Його, і чини Його, що зробив був серед Єгипту фараонові, єгипетському царе́ві та всьому́ його кра́єві,

4 і що́ Він зробив був війську Єгипта, ко́ням його та колесни́цям його, що пустив над ними воду Червоного моря, коли вони гнались за вами, і вигубив їх Господь, і так є аж до дня цього,

5 і що́ Він зробив був для вас у пустині аж до вашого прихо́ду до цього місця,

6 і що́ Він зробив був Дата́нові й Авіро́нові, синам Еліява, Рувимового сина, що земля відкрила була свої уста й погли́нула їх, і їхні доми́, і їхні намети, і всю власність, що була з ними, посеред усього Ізраїля.

7 Бо очі ваші — то ті, що бачили всякий великий чин Господа, що Він зробив.

8 І будете ви вико́нувати всі заповіді Його́, що я сьогодні наказую, щоб стали ви сильні, і ввійшли, і заволоділи тим кра́єм, куди перехо́дите ви, щоб посісти його,

9 і щоб довго жили ви на тій землі, що Господь присягну́в був вашим батька́м дати їм та їхньому насінню край, що тече молоком та медом.

10 Бо цей край, куди входиш ти заволодіти ним, він не такий, як єгипетський край, звідки вийшли ви, де ти засієш було насіння своє й полива́єш працею ніг своїх, як горо́д варивни́й.

11 А цей край, куди ви перехо́дите посісти його, то край гір та долин, — із небесного дощу́ він напо́юється.

12 край, що про нього дбає Господь, Бог твій, за́вжди на ньому очі Господа, Бога твого, від поча́тку року аж до кінця року.

13 І станеться, якщо справді ви будете слухати Моїх заповідей, що Я вам сьогодні наказую, — любити Господа, Бога вашого, і служити Йому всім вашим серцем і всією вашою душею,

14 то Я дам вам дощ вашого кра́ю своєча́сно, дощ ра́нній і дощ пі́зній, і збереш ти своє збіжжя, і свій сік виноградний, і оливу свою.

15 І дам Я траву на твоїм полі для твоєї худоби, і будеш ти їсти й наси́тишся.

16 Стережіться, щоб не було зве́дене ваше серце, і щоб ви не відступили, і не служили іншим бога́м, і не вклонялися їм.

17 А то запалиться гнів Господній на вас, і замкне́ небо, і не буде дощу́, а земля не дасть свого урожаю, і ви скоро погинете з тієї доброї землі, що Господь дає вам.

18 І покладете ви ці слова́ Мої на свої серця́ та на свої ду́ші, і прив'яжете їх на зна́ка на руці своїй, і вони будуть пов'я́зкою між вашими очима.

19 І будете навчати про них синів своїх, говорячи про них, коли ти сидітимеш у домі своїм, і коли ходитимеш дорогою, і коли лежатимеш, і коли вставатимеш.

20 І ти понаписуєш їх на бічни́х одві́рках дому свого і на брамах своїх,

21 щоб дні ваші та дні синів ваших на землі, яку́ Господь присягнув був батькам вашим дати їм, були такі довгі, як дні неба над землею.

22 Бо якщо будете ви конче виконувати всі ті заповіді, що я наказав вам чинити їх, — щоб любити Господа, Бога свого, щоб ходити всіма́ доро́гами Його, і щоб горну́тись до Нього, —

23 то Господь вижене всі ті народи перед вами, і ви посядете народи більші й міцніші від вас.

24 Кожне місце, що на нього ступить ваша нога, буде ваше. Від пустині й Ливану, від Річки, річки Ефра́ту й аж до моря Оста́ннього буде ваша границя.

25 Не всто́їть ніхто перед вами, — ляк перед вами й страх перед вами дасть Господь, Бог ваш, на кожен той край, що ви ступите на нього, як Він говорив вам.

26 Ось, сьогодні я даю перед вами благослове́ння й прокля́ття:

27 благослове́ння, коли будете слухатися заповідей Господа, Бога вашого, які я наказую вам сьогодні,

28 і прокля́ття, якщо не будете слухатися заповідей Господа, Бога свого, і збо́чите з дороги, яку я наказую вам сьогодні, щоб ходити за іншими бога́ми, яких ви не знали.

29 І станеться, коли Господь, Бог твій, уведе́ тебе до краю, куди ти входиш посісти його, то даси благослове́ння на горі Ґарізі́м, а прокля́ття на горі Ева́л.

30 От вони на то́му боці Йорда́ну за дорогою за́ходу сонця, у кра́ю ханаанеянина, що сидить у степу́ навпроти Ґілґалу при діброві Море́.

31 Бо ви переходите Йорда́н, щоб увійти посісти той край, що дає вам Господь, Бог ваш. І посядете його, й осядете в ньому,

32 і будете доде́ржувати, щоб виконувати всі постанови й зако́ни Його́, які я сьогодні даю вам.

Deuteronomy

Chapter 11

1 THEREFORE you shall love the LORD your God, and keep his precepts, his statutes, his judgments, and his commandments, always.

2 And know this day that I do not speak to your children who have not known and who have not seen the discipline of the LORD your God, his greatness, his mighty hand, and his outstretched arm,

3 And his signs, and his deeds, which he did in Egypt to Pharaoh the king of Egypt, and to all his land;

4 And what he did to the army of the Egyptians, to their horses and to their chariots and to their horsemen; how he made the water of the Red Sea to overflow them as they pursued after you, and how the LORD has destroyed them to this day;

5 And what he did to you in the wilderness, until you came into this place;

6 And what he did to Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, the son of Reuben; how the earth opened its mouth, and swallowed them up, and their children and their tents and everything which they had, as they stood on their feet in the midst of all Israel;

7 But it is your eyes that have seen all the great acts of the LORD which he did.

8 Therefore you shall keep all the commandments which I command you this day, that you may be strong and go in and possess the land which you are going over to possess;

9 And that you may prolong your days in the land which the LORD swore to your fathers to give to them and to their descendants, a land that flows with milk and honey.

10 For the land into which you are entering to possess it is not like the land of Egypt, from which you came out, where you sowed your seed and watered it with your feet, like a vegetable garden;

11 But the land which you are going over to possess is a land of mountains and valleys, that drinks water of the rain from heaven;

12 A land which the LORD your God cares for always; the eyes of the LORD your God are upon it, from the beginning of the year to the end of the year.

13 And if you shall hearken diligently to the commandments which I command you this day, to love the LORD your God, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul,

14 He will give you the rain of your land in its due season, the early rain and the latter rain, and you shall gather in your grain and your wine and your oil.

15 And he will make grass to grow in your fields for your cattle, that you shall eat and be full.

16 Take heed to yourselves, lest your heart be enticed, and you turn aside and serve other gods and worship them;

17 And then the LORD'S anger be kindled against you, and he shut up the heaven, that there be no rain and that the land may not produce its fruit, and that you perish quickly from off the good land which the LORD your God gives you.

18 Therefore you shall lay up these commandments in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hands, that they may be a token between your eyes.

19 And you shall teach them to your children, that they may talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.

20 And you shall write them on the doorposts of your houses, and upon your gates;

21 That your days and the days of your children, may be multiplied in the land which the LORD your God swore to your fathers to give them, as the days of heaven upon earth.

22 For if you shall diligently keep all these commandments which I command you this day, and do them, and love the LORD your God, and walk in all his ways, and cleave to him;

23 Then the LORD will destroy all these nations from before you, and you shall possess nations greater and mightier than yourselves.

24 Every place whereon the sole of your foot treads shall be yours; from the wilderness and Lebanon, from the river, the great river Euphrates, to the uttermost sea shall your territory be.

25 There shall no man be able to stand before you; for the LORD your God shall lay the fear of you and the dread of you upon all the land that you shall tread, as he has said to you.

26 Behold, I set before you this day blessings and curses;

27 Blessings, if you obey the commandments of the LORD your God which I am commanding you this day:

28 And curses, if you will not obey the commandments of the LORD your God, and if you turn aside from the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods, which you have not known.

29 And it shall come to pass, when the LORD your God has brought you into the land whither you are entering to possess it, you shall put the blessings upon mount Gerizim, and the curses upon mount Gebel.

30 Behold, they are on the other side of the Jordan, behind the way, toward the setting of the sun, in the land of the Canaanites, who dwell in the low desert over against Gilgal, towards the house of the oak of Mamre.

31 For you are to cross the Jordan to go in to possess the land which the LORD your God gives you, and you shall possess it and dwell therein.

32 And you shall observe to do all the statutes and judgments which I set before you this day.

1 THEREFORE you shall love the LORD your God, and keep his precepts, his statutes, his judgments, and his commandments, always.

2 І ви пізнаєте сьогодні, — бо я навчаю не синів ваших, які не пізнали й не бачили кара́ння Господа, Бога вашого, — величність Його, руку Його сильну й раме́но Його ви́тягнене,

2 And know this day that I do not speak to your children who have not known and who have not seen the discipline of the LORD your God, his greatness, his mighty hand, and his outstretched arm,

3 і ознаки Його, і чини Його, що зробив був серед Єгипту фараонові, єгипетському царе́ві та всьому́ його кра́єві,

3 And his signs, and his deeds, which he did in Egypt to Pharaoh the king of Egypt, and to all his land;

4 і що́ Він зробив був війську Єгипта, ко́ням його та колесни́цям його, що пустив над ними воду Червоного моря, коли вони гнались за вами, і вигубив їх Господь, і так є аж до дня цього,

4 And what he did to the army of the Egyptians, to their horses and to their chariots and to their horsemen; how he made the water of the Red Sea to overflow them as they pursued after you, and how the LORD has destroyed them to this day;

5 і що́ Він зробив був для вас у пустині аж до вашого прихо́ду до цього місця,

5 And what he did to you in the wilderness, until you came into this place;

6 і що́ Він зробив був Дата́нові й Авіро́нові, синам Еліява, Рувимового сина, що земля відкрила була свої уста й погли́нула їх, і їхні доми́, і їхні намети, і всю власність, що була з ними, посеред усього Ізраїля.

6 And what he did to Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, the son of Reuben; how the earth opened its mouth, and swallowed them up, and their children and their tents and everything which they had, as they stood on their feet in the midst of all Israel;

7 Бо очі ваші — то ті, що бачили всякий великий чин Господа, що Він зробив.

7 But it is your eyes that have seen all the great acts of the LORD which he did.

8 І будете ви вико́нувати всі заповіді Його́, що я сьогодні наказую, щоб стали ви сильні, і ввійшли, і заволоділи тим кра́єм, куди перехо́дите ви, щоб посісти його,

8 Therefore you shall keep all the commandments which I command you this day, that you may be strong and go in and possess the land which you are going over to possess;

9 і щоб довго жили ви на тій землі, що Господь присягну́в був вашим батька́м дати їм та їхньому насінню край, що тече молоком та медом.

9 And that you may prolong your days in the land which the LORD swore to your fathers to give to them and to their descendants, a land that flows with milk and honey.

10 Бо цей край, куди входиш ти заволодіти ним, він не такий, як єгипетський край, звідки вийшли ви, де ти засієш було насіння своє й полива́єш працею ніг своїх, як горо́д варивни́й.

10 For the land into which you are entering to possess it is not like the land of Egypt, from which you came out, where you sowed your seed and watered it with your feet, like a vegetable garden;

11 А цей край, куди ви перехо́дите посісти його, то край гір та долин, — із небесного дощу́ він напо́юється.

11 But the land which you are going over to possess is a land of mountains and valleys, that drinks water of the rain from heaven;

12 край, що про нього дбає Господь, Бог твій, за́вжди на ньому очі Господа, Бога твого, від поча́тку року аж до кінця року.

12 A land which the LORD your God cares for always; the eyes of the LORD your God are upon it, from the beginning of the year to the end of the year.

13 І станеться, якщо справді ви будете слухати Моїх заповідей, що Я вам сьогодні наказую, — любити Господа, Бога вашого, і служити Йому всім вашим серцем і всією вашою душею,

13 And if you shall hearken diligently to the commandments which I command you this day, to love the LORD your God, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul,

14 то Я дам вам дощ вашого кра́ю своєча́сно, дощ ра́нній і дощ пі́зній, і збереш ти своє збіжжя, і свій сік виноградний, і оливу свою.

14 He will give you the rain of your land in its due season, the early rain and the latter rain, and you shall gather in your grain and your wine and your oil.

15 І дам Я траву на твоїм полі для твоєї худоби, і будеш ти їсти й наси́тишся.

15 And he will make grass to grow in your fields for your cattle, that you shall eat and be full.

16 Стережіться, щоб не було зве́дене ваше серце, і щоб ви не відступили, і не служили іншим бога́м, і не вклонялися їм.

16 Take heed to yourselves, lest your heart be enticed, and you turn aside and serve other gods and worship them;

17 А то запалиться гнів Господній на вас, і замкне́ небо, і не буде дощу́, а земля не дасть свого урожаю, і ви скоро погинете з тієї доброї землі, що Господь дає вам.

17 And then the LORD'S anger be kindled against you, and he shut up the heaven, that there be no rain and that the land may not produce its fruit, and that you perish quickly from off the good land which the LORD your God gives you.

18 І покладете ви ці слова́ Мої на свої серця́ та на свої ду́ші, і прив'яжете їх на зна́ка на руці своїй, і вони будуть пов'я́зкою між вашими очима.

18 Therefore you shall lay up these commandments in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hands, that they may be a token between your eyes.

19 І будете навчати про них синів своїх, говорячи про них, коли ти сидітимеш у домі своїм, і коли ходитимеш дорогою, і коли лежатимеш, і коли вставатимеш.

19 And you shall teach them to your children, that they may talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.

20 І ти понаписуєш їх на бічни́х одві́рках дому свого і на брамах своїх,

20 And you shall write them on the doorposts of your houses, and upon your gates;

21 щоб дні ваші та дні синів ваших на землі, яку́ Господь присягнув був батькам вашим дати їм, були такі довгі, як дні неба над землею.

21 That your days and the days of your children, may be multiplied in the land which the LORD your God swore to your fathers to give them, as the days of heaven upon earth.

22 Бо якщо будете ви конче виконувати всі ті заповіді, що я наказав вам чинити їх, — щоб любити Господа, Бога свого, щоб ходити всіма́ доро́гами Його, і щоб горну́тись до Нього, —

22 For if you shall diligently keep all these commandments which I command you this day, and do them, and love the LORD your God, and walk in all his ways, and cleave to him;

23 то Господь вижене всі ті народи перед вами, і ви посядете народи більші й міцніші від вас.

23 Then the LORD will destroy all these nations from before you, and you shall possess nations greater and mightier than yourselves.

24 Кожне місце, що на нього ступить ваша нога, буде ваше. Від пустині й Ливану, від Річки, річки Ефра́ту й аж до моря Оста́ннього буде ваша границя.

25 Не всто́їть ніхто перед вами, — ляк перед вами й страх перед вами дасть Господь, Бог ваш, на кожен той край, що ви ступите на нього, як Він говорив вам.

25 There shall no man be able to stand before you; for the LORD your God shall lay the fear of you and the dread of you upon all the land that you shall tread, as he has said to you.

26 Ось, сьогодні я даю перед вами благослове́ння й прокля́ття:

26 Behold, I set before you this day blessings and curses;

27 благослове́ння, коли будете слухатися заповідей Господа, Бога вашого, які я наказую вам сьогодні,

27 Blessings, if you obey the commandments of the LORD your God which I am commanding you this day:

28 і прокля́ття, якщо не будете слухатися заповідей Господа, Бога свого, і збо́чите з дороги, яку я наказую вам сьогодні, щоб ходити за іншими бога́ми, яких ви не знали.

28 And curses, if you will not obey the commandments of the LORD your God, and if you turn aside from the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods, which you have not known.

29 І станеться, коли Господь, Бог твій, уведе́ тебе до краю, куди ти входиш посісти його, то даси благослове́ння на горі Ґарізі́м, а прокля́ття на горі Ева́л.

29 And it shall come to pass, when the LORD your God has brought you into the land whither you are entering to possess it, you shall put the blessings upon mount Gerizim, and the curses upon mount Gebel.

30 От вони на то́му боці Йорда́ну за дорогою за́ходу сонця, у кра́ю ханаанеянина, що сидить у степу́ навпроти Ґілґалу при діброві Море́.

30 Behold, they are on the other side of the Jordan, behind the way, toward the setting of the sun, in the land of the Canaanites, who dwell in the low desert over against Gilgal, towards the house of the oak of Mamre.

31 Бо ви переходите Йорда́н, щоб увійти посісти той край, що дає вам Господь, Бог ваш. І посядете його, й осядете в ньому,

31 For you are to cross the Jordan to go in to possess the land which the LORD your God gives you, and you shall possess it and dwell therein.

32 і будете доде́ржувати, щоб виконувати всі постанови й зако́ни Його́, які я сьогодні даю вам.

32 And you shall observe to do all the statutes and judgments which I set before you this day.
