1 Ви сини Господа, Бога вашого, — не будете робити нарізів, і не вистрига́йте волосся над вашими очима за поме́рлого,

2 бо ти святий наро́д для Господа, Бога твого, і Господь тебе вибрав, щоб був ти Йому ви́браним наро́дом зо всіх народів, що на поверхні землі.

3 Не будеш їсти жодної гидо́ти.

4 Оце та худоба, що ви будете їсти: віл, кожне з овець і кожне з кіз,

5 о́лень, і са́рна, і бу́йвіл, і ла́ня, і зубр, і антило́па, і жира́фа.

6 Кожну з худоби, що має розділені копи́та та що має копи́та, роздвоєні розри́вом, що жує жу́йку між худобою, — те будете їсти.

7 Тільки цього не будете їсти з тих, що жують жуйку й що мають розділені копи́та, розщіплені: верблю́да, і зайця, і тушка́нчика, бо вони жують жуйку, та копит не розділили, — нечисті вони для вас.

8 І свині́, бо має розділені ра́тиці, а жуйки не жує, — нечиста вона для вас: їхнього м'яса не будете їсти, а до їхнього па́дла не доторкне́теся.

9 Оце будете їсти зо всього, що в воді, — усе, що має плавці та луску́, будете їсти.

10 А все, що не має плавців та луски, не будете їсти, — нечисте воно для вас.

11 Кожного чистого птаха будете їсти.

12 А оце, чого з них ви не будете їсти: орла́, і ґри́фа, і морського орла,

13 і ко́ршака, і со́кола за родом його,

14 і всякого кру́ка за родом його,

15 і стру́ся, і сови, і я́струба за родом його,

16 пу́гача, й і́біса, і ле́бедя,

17 і пеліка́на, і сича́, і риба́лки,

18 і бу́сла, і ча́плі за родом її, і о́дуда, і кажана́.

19 І кожне плазуюче з пта́ства — нечисте воно для вас, не будете їсти.

20 Кожного чистого птаха будете їсти.

21 Не будете їсти жодного па́дла, — даси його прихо́дькові, що в брамах твоїх, і він їстиме його, або продаси чужи́нцеві, бо ти народ святий для Господа, Бога свого. Не будеш варити ягняти в молоці матері його.

22 Конче даси десятину з усього врожа́ю насіння твого, що рік-річно на полі зросте́.

23 І будеш ти їсти перед лицем Господа, Бога свого, у місці, яке Він вибере, щоб Ім'я́ Його перебува́ло там, десятину збіжжя свого, виноградного соку свого, і оливки своєї, і перворідних худоби своєї великої й худоби своєї дрібно́ї, щоб навчився ти боятися Господа, Бога свого, по всі дні.

24 А коли дорога буде занадто довга для тебе, так що не зможеш поне́сти того́, бо буде занадто далеке від тебе місце, яке вибере Господь, Бог твій, щоб покласти Ім'я́ Своє там, коли поблагосло́вить тебе Господь, Бог твій,

25 то даси в сріблі, і зав'яжеш те срібло в руці своїй, і пі́деш до місця, яке вибере Господь, Бог твій.

26 І витратиш те срібло на все, чого буде жадати душа твоя, — на худобу велику й худобу дрібну, і на вино, і на п'янки́й напі́й, і на все, чого зажадає від тебе душа твоя, і будеш ти їсти там перед лицем Господа, Бога свого, і будеш тішитися ти та дім твій.

27 А Левит, що живе́ по брамах твоїх, — не кидай його, бо нема йому частки й спа́дку з тобою.

28 На кінці трьох років відділиш усю десятину свого врожаю в тім році, і покладеш у брамах своїх.

29 І при́йде Левит, бо нема йому частки й спа́дку з тобою, і прихо́дько, і сирота, і вдова, що в брамах твоїх, і будуть їсти й наси́тяться, щоб поблагослови́в тебе Господь, Бог твій, у кожному чині твоєї руки, що будеш робити.

Deuteronomy

Chapter 14

1 YOU are the children of the LORD your God; you shall not make tattooed patterns in the skin, nor any baldness between your eyes for the dead.

2 For you are a holy people to the LORD your God, and the LORD has chosen you to be a beloved people to himself, above all the peoples that are on the face of the earth.

3 You shall not eat any abominable thing.

4 These are the beasts which you shall eat: the ox, the sheep, the goat,

5 The hart, the gazelle, the roebuck, the wild goat, the buffalo, the rock-goat, the mountain goat.

6 Every animal that parts the hoof and has the hoof divided into two parts and chews the cud among the animals, that you shall eat.

7 Nevertheless you shall not eat of these that chew the cud, or of these that have the hoof divided, such as the camel, the hare, and the coney; for they chew the cud, but their hoofs are not divided; therefore they are unclean for you.

8 And the swine, because it divides the hoof, but does not chew the cud, is unclean for you; you shall not eat of their meat, nor touch their dead carcasses.

9 These you shall eat of all that are in the waters: all that have fins and scales you shall eat:

10 And whatever does not have fins and scales, you shall not eat; it is unclean for you.

11 Of all clean birds you shall eat.

12 But these are the ones of which you shall not eat: the eagle, the vulture, and the raven after its kind,

13 The ostrich, and the hawk after its kind,

14 The owl, the pelican, the crow,

15 The little owl, the night hawk, and the bee eater,

16 The stork, the hoopoe after its kind,

17 The desert cock, and the peacock,

18 And all the brood of these birds is unclean for you, you shall not eat them.

19 But of all dean birds you shall eat.

20 You shall not eat of anything that is unclean, but you shall give it to the stranger who is in your towns, that he may eat it.

21 Or you may sell it to an alien; for you are a holy people to the LORD your God. You shall not cook a kid in its mother's milk.

22 You shall truly tithe all the increase of your seed that the field brings forth year by year.

23 And you shall eat before the LORD your God, in the place where he shall choose to set his name, the tithes of your grain, of your wine and of your oil and of the firstlings of your herds and of your flocks; that you may learn to revere the LORD your God always.

24 And if the way is too long for you, so that you are not able to carry it; because the place where the LORD your God chooses to set his name is too far from you, when the LORD your God has blessed you;

25 Then you shall turn them into money, and bind up the money in a cloth and keep it in your possession, and go to the place which the LORD your God chooses;

26 And you shall buy with that money whatever you desire, oxen or sheep or wine or strong drink or whatever you may desire; and you shall eat there before the LORD your God, and you shall rejoice, you and your household,

27 And the Levite who is within your towns; you shall not forsake him; for he has no portion nor inheritance with you.

28 At the end of three years you shall bring forth all the tithes of your crops the same year, and you shall lay it up within your towns;

29 And the Levite, who has no portion nor inheritance with you, and the proselyte and the orphan and the widow who are within your towns shall come, and shall eat and be satisfied; that the LORD your God may bless you in all the work of your hand which you shall do.

4 Оце та худоба, що ви будете їсти: віл, кожне з овець і кожне з кіз,

4 These are the beasts which you shall eat: the ox, the sheep, the goat,

5 о́лень, і са́рна, і бу́йвіл, і ла́ня, і зубр, і антило́па, і жира́фа.

5 The hart, the gazelle, the roebuck, the wild goat, the buffalo, the rock-goat, the mountain goat.

6 Every animal that parts the hoof and has the hoof divided into two parts and chews the cud among the animals, that you shall eat.

7 Тільки цього не будете їсти з тих, що жують жуйку й що мають розділені копи́та, розщіплені: верблю́да, і зайця, і тушка́нчика, бо вони жують жуйку, та копит не розділили, — нечисті вони для вас.

7 Nevertheless you shall not eat of these that chew the cud, or of these that have the hoof divided, such as the camel, the hare, and the coney; for they chew the cud, but their hoofs are not divided; therefore they are unclean for you.

8 І свині́, бо має розділені ра́тиці, а жуйки не жує, — нечиста вона для вас: їхнього м'яса не будете їсти, а до їхнього па́дла не доторкне́теся.

8 And the swine, because it divides the hoof, but does not chew the cud, is unclean for you; you shall not eat of their meat, nor touch their dead carcasses.

9 Оце будете їсти зо всього, що в воді, — усе, що має плавці та луску́, будете їсти.

9 These you shall eat of all that are in the waters: all that have fins and scales you shall eat:

20 You shall not eat of anything that is unclean, but you shall give it to the stranger who is in your towns, that he may eat it.

21 Or you may sell it to an alien; for you are a holy people to the LORD your God. You shall not cook a kid in its mother's milk.

22 Конче даси десятину з усього врожа́ю насіння твого, що рік-річно на полі зросте́.

22 You shall truly tithe all the increase of your seed that the field brings forth year by year.

23 І будеш ти їсти перед лицем Господа, Бога свого, у місці, яке Він вибере, щоб Ім'я́ Його перебува́ло там, десятину збіжжя свого, виноградного соку свого, і оливки своєї, і перворідних худоби своєї великої й худоби своєї дрібно́ї, щоб навчився ти боятися Господа, Бога свого, по всі дні.

23 And you shall eat before the LORD your God, in the place where he shall choose to set his name, the tithes of your grain, of your wine and of your oil and of the firstlings of your herds and of your flocks; that you may learn to revere the LORD your God always.

24 А коли дорога буде занадто довга для тебе, так що не зможеш поне́сти того́, бо буде занадто далеке від тебе місце, яке вибере Господь, Бог твій, щоб покласти Ім'я́ Своє там, коли поблагосло́вить тебе Господь, Бог твій,

24 And if the way is too long for you, so that you are not able to carry it; because the place where the LORD your God chooses to set his name is too far from you, when the LORD your God has blessed you;

25 то даси в сріблі, і зав'яжеш те срібло в руці своїй, і пі́деш до місця, яке вибере Господь, Бог твій.

25 Then you shall turn them into money, and bind up the money in a cloth and keep it in your possession, and go to the place which the LORD your God chooses;

26 І витратиш те срібло на все, чого буде жадати душа твоя, — на худобу велику й худобу дрібну, і на вино, і на п'янки́й напі́й, і на все, чого зажадає від тебе душа твоя, і будеш ти їсти там перед лицем Господа, Бога свого, і будеш тішитися ти та дім твій.

26 And you shall buy with that money whatever you desire, oxen or sheep or wine or strong drink or whatever you may desire; and you shall eat there before the LORD your God, and you shall rejoice, you and your household,

27 А Левит, що живе́ по брамах твоїх, — не кидай його, бо нема йому частки й спа́дку з тобою.

27 And the Levite who is within your towns; you shall not forsake him; for he has no portion nor inheritance with you.

28 На кінці трьох років відділиш усю десятину свого врожаю в тім році, і покладеш у брамах своїх.

28 At the end of three years you shall bring forth all the tithes of your crops the same year, and you shall lay it up within your towns;

29 І при́йде Левит, бо нема йому частки й спа́дку з тобою, і прихо́дько, і сирота, і вдова, що в брамах твоїх, і будуть їсти й наси́тяться, щоб поблагослови́в тебе Господь, Бог твій, у кожному чині твоєї руки, що будеш робити.

29 And the Levite, who has no portion nor inheritance with you, and the proselyte and the orphan and the widow who are within your towns shall come, and shall eat and be satisfied; that the LORD your God may bless you in all the work of your hand which you shall do.
