Розділ 25

1 Тоді Царство Небесне буде подібне до десяти дів, що побрали каганці́ свої, та й пішли зустріча́ти молодого.

2 П'ять же з них нерозумні були, а п'ять мудрі.

3 Нерозумні ж, узявши каганці́, не взяли́ із собою оливи.

4 А мудрі набрали оливи в посудинки ра́зом із своїми каганця́ми.

5 А коли забари́всь молодий, то всі задрімали й поснули.

6 А опі́вночі крик залуна́в: „Ось молодий, — виходьте назу́стріч!“

7 Схопи́лись тоді всі ті діви, і каганці́ свої наготува́ли.

8 Нерозумні ж сказали до мудрих: „Дайте нам із своєї оливи, бо наші каганці́ ось гаснуть“.

9 Мудрі ж відповіли та сказали: „Щоб, бува, нам і вам не забракло, — краще вдайтеся до продавців, і купіть собі“.

10 І як вони купувати пішли, то прибув молодий; і готові ввійшли на весі́лля з ним, — і за́мкнені двері були́.

11 А по́тім прийшла й решта дів і казала: „Пане, пане, — відчини нам!“

12 Він же в відповідь їм проказав: „Поправді кажу вам, — не знаю я вас!“

13 Тож пильнуйте, бо не знаєте ні дня, ні години, коли при́йде Син Лю́дський!

14 Так само ж один чоловік, як відходив, покликав своїх рабів і передав їм добро своє.

15 І одно́му він дав п'ять талантів, а другому два, а тому один, — кожному за спромо́жністю його. І відійшов.

16 А той, що взяв п'ять талантів, негайно пішов і орудував ними, — і набув він п'ять і́нших талантів.

17 Так само ж і той, що взяв два — і він ще два і́нших набув.

18 А той, що одно́го взя́в, пішов та й закопав його в землю, — і сховав срі́бло пана свого.

19 По довгому ж часі вернувся пан тих рабів, та й від них зажадав обрахунку.

20 І прийшов той, що взяв п'ять талантів, — приніс іще п'ять талантів і сказав: „Пане мій, п'ять талантів мені передав ти, — ось я здобу́в інші п'ять талантів“.

21 Сказав же йому його пан: „Гаразд, рабе добрий і вірний! Ти в мало́му був вірний, над великим поставлю тебе, — увійди до радощів пана свого!“

22 Підійшов же й той, що взяв два таланти, і сказав: „Два таланти мені передав ти, — ось іще два тала́нти здобу́в я“.

23 Сказав йому пан його: „Гаразд, рабе добрий і вірний! Ти в мало́му був вірний, над великим поставлю тебе, — увійди до радощів пана свого!“

24 Підійшов же і той, що одного таланта взяв, і сказав: „Я знав тебе, па́не, що тверда́ ти люди́на, — ти жнеш, де не сіяв, і збираєш, де не розси́пав.

25 І я побоявся, — пішов і таланта твого сховав у землю. Ото маєш своє“.

26 І відповів його пан і сказав йому: „Рабе лукавий і лінивий! Ти знав, що я жну, де не сіяв, і збираю, де не розси́пав?

27 Тож тобі було треба віддати гроші мої грошомінам, і, вернувшись, я взяв би з прибу́тком своє.

28 Візьміть же від нього таланта, і віддайте тому́, що десять талантів він має.

29 Бо кожному, хто має, дасться йому та й додасться, хто ж не має, — забереться від нього й те, що він має.

30 А раба непотрібного вкиньте до зо́внішньої темряви, — буде плач там і скрегіт зубів!

31 Коли ж при́йде Син Лю́дський у славі Своїй, і всі анголи́ з Ним, тоді Він засяде на престолі слави Своєї.

32 І перед Ним усі наро́ди зберуться, і Він відді́лить одного від о́дного їх, як відділя́є вівчар овець від козлів.

33 І поставить Він вівці право́руч Себе, а козлята — ліво́руч.

34 Тоді скаже Цар тим, хто право́руч Його: „Прийдіть, благословенні Мого Отця, посядьте Царство, уготоване вам від закла́дин світу.

35 Бо Я голодував був — і ви нагодували Мене, пра́гнув — і ви напоїли Мене, мандрівником Я був — і Мене прийняли́ ви.

36 Був наги́й — і Мене зодягли ви, слабував — і Мене ви відвідали, у в'язни́ці Я був — і прийшли ви до Мене“.

37 Тоді відповідя́ть Йому праведні й скажуть: „Господи, коли то Тебе ми голодного бачили — і нагодували, або спрагненого — і напоїли?

38 Коли то Тебе мандрівником ми бачили — і прийняли́, чи наги́м — і зодягли?

39 Коли то Тебе ми недужого бачили, чи в в'язниці — і до Тебе прийшли?“

40 Цар відповість і промовить до них: „Поправді кажу́ вам: що́ тільки вчинили ви одно́му з найменших братів Моїх цих, — те Мені ви вчинили“.

41 Тоді скаже й тим, хто ліво́руч: „Ідіть ви від Мене, прокля́ті, у вічний огонь, що дияволові та його посланця́м пригото́ваний.

42 Бо Я голодував був — і не нагодували Мене, пра́гнув — і ви не напоїли Мене,

43 мандрівником Я був — і не прийняли́ ви Мене, був наги́й — і не зодягли ви Мене, слабий і в в'язниці — і Мене не відвідали ви“.

44 Тоді відповідять і вони, промовляючи: „Господи, коли то Тебе ми голодного бачили, або спра́гненого, або мандрівником, чи наго́го, чи недужого, чи в в'язниці — і не послужили Тобі?“

45 Тоді Він відповість їм і скаже: „Поправді кажу вам: чого тільки одному з найменших цих ви не вчинили, — Мені не вчинили!“

46 І ці пі́дуть на вічную муку, а праведники — на вічне життя“.

Matthew

Chapter 25

1 THEN the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins, who took their lamps, and went out to greet the bridegroom and the bride.

2 Five of them were wise, and five were foolish.

3 And the foolish ones took their lamps, but took no oil with them.

4 But the wise ones took oil in the vessels with their lamps.

5 As the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept.

6 And at midnight there was a cry, Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to greet him.

7 Then all the virgins got up and fixed their lamps.

8 And the foolish ones said to the wise ones, Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.

9 Then the wise ones answered and said, Why, there would not be enough for us and for you; go to those who sell and buy for yourselves.

10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and those who were ready entered with him into the wedding house, and the door was locked.

11 Afterward the other virgins also came and said, Our lord, our lord, open to us.

12 But he answered and said to them, Truly I say to you, I do not know you.

13 Be alert, therefore, for you do not know, that day nor the hour.

14 It is just like a man who went on a journey, who called his servants and put his wealth in their charge.

15 To one he gave five talents, to one two, to another one; to each one according to his ability; and immediately he went on a journey.

16 The one who received five talents then went and traded with them, and he earned five others.

17 Likewise the second one, he gained by trading gained two others.

18 But he who received one, went and dug in the ground, and hid his lord's money.

19 After a long time, the lord of those servants returned, and took an accounting from them.

20 Then the one who received five talents came up, and offered five others, and he said, My lord, you gave me five talents; behold, I have gained five others to them.

21 His lord said to him, Well done, good and reliable servant; you have been faithful over a little, I will appoint you over much; enter into your master's joy.

22 Then the one with the two talents came and he said, My lord, you gave me two talents, behold I have gained two others to them.

23 His lord said to him, Well done, good and reliable servant, you have been faithful over a little, I will appoint you over much; enter into your master's joy.

24 Then the one who received one talent also came up, and he said, My lord, I knew that you are a hard man, and you reap where you did not sow, and gather where you did not scatter.

25 So I was afraid, and I went and hid your talent in the ground; here it is, it is your own one.

26 His lord answered and said to him, O wicked and lazy servant, you knew me that I reap where I did not sow, and I gather where I did not scatter.

27 You should then have put my money in the exchange, and when I returned I would have demanded my own with interest.

28 Therefore take away the talent from him, and give it to the one who has ten talents.

29 For to him who has, it shall he given, and it shall increase to him; but he who has not, even that which he has shall be taken away from him.

30 And the idle servant they threw into the outer darkness; there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

31 When the Son of man comes in his glory, and all his holy angels with him, then he will sit upon the throne of his glory.

32 And all nations will gather before him; and he will separate them one from another, just as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats;

33 And he will set the sheep at his right, and the goats at his left.

34 Then the King will say to those at his right, Come, you blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom which has been prepared for you from the foundation of the world.

35 For I was hungry, and you gave me to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave me to drink; I was a stranger and you took me in;

36 I was naked, and you covered me; I was sick, and you visited me; I was in prison, and you came to me.

37 Then the righteous will say to him, Our Lord, when did we see you hungry, and feed you? or thirsty and gave you drink?

38 And when did we see you a stranger, and took you in? Or that you were naked, and covered you?

39 And when did we see you sick, or in the prison, and come to you?

40 The king then will answer and say to them, Truly I tell you, Inasmuch as you have done it to one of these least brethren, you did it to me.

41 Then he will also say to those at his left, Go away from me, you cursed, to the everlasting fire, which is prepared for the adversary and his angels.

42 For I was hungry, and you did not give me to eat; I was thirsty, and you did not give me to drink;

43 I was a stranger, and you did not take me in; I was naked, and you did not cover me; I was sick and in prison and you did not visit me.

44 Then they also will answer and say, Our lord, when did we see you hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick or in the prison, and did not minister to you?

45 Then he will answer and say to them, Truly I say to you, Inasmuch as you did not do it to one of these least ones, you also did not do it to me.

46 And these shall go into everlasting torment, and the righteous into eternal life.

3 Нерозумні ж, узявши каганці́, не взяли́ із собою оливи.	3 And the foolish ones took their lamps, but took no oil with them.
4 А мудрі набрали оливи в посудинки ра́зом із своїми каганця́ми.	4 But the wise ones took oil in the vessels with their lamps.
5 А коли забари́всь молодий, то всі задрімали й поснули.	5 As the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept.
6 А опі́вночі крик залуна́в: „Ось молодий, — виходьте назу́стріч!“	6 And at midnight there was a cry, Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to greet him.
7 Схопи́лись тоді всі ті діви, і каганці́ свої наготува́ли.	7 Then all the virgins got up and fixed their lamps.
8 Нерозумні ж сказали до мудрих: „Дайте нам із своєї оливи, бо наші каганці́ ось гаснуть“.	8 And the foolish ones said to the wise ones, Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.
9 Мудрі ж відповіли та сказали: „Щоб, бува, нам і вам не забракло, — краще вдайтеся до продавців, і купіть собі“.	9 Then the wise ones answered and said, Why, there would not be enough for us and for you; go to those who sell and buy for yourselves.
10 І як вони купувати пішли, то прибув молодий; і готові ввійшли на весі́лля з ним, — і за́мкнені двері були́.	10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and those who were ready entered with him into the wedding house, and the door was locked.
11 А по́тім прийшла й решта дів і казала: „Пане, пане, — відчини нам!“	11 Afterward the other virgins also came and said, Our lord, our lord, open to us.
12 Він же в відповідь їм проказав: „Поправді кажу вам, — не знаю я вас!“	12 But he answered and said to them, Truly I say to you, I do not know you.
13 Тож пильнуйте, бо не знаєте ні дня, ні години, коли при́йде Син Лю́дський!	13 Be alert, therefore, for you do not know, that day nor the hour.
14 Так само ж один чоловік, як відходив, покликав своїх рабів і передав їм добро своє.	14 It is just like a man who went on a journey, who called his servants and put his wealth in their charge.
15 І одно́му він дав п'ять талантів, а другому два, а тому один, — кожному за спромо́жністю його. І відійшов.	15 To one he gave five talents, to one two, to another one; to each one according to his ability; and immediately he went on a journey.
16 А той, що взяв п'ять талантів, негайно пішов і орудував ними, — і набув він п'ять і́нших талантів.	16 The one who received five talents then went and traded with them, and he earned five others.

22 Підійшов же й той, що взяв два таланти, і сказав: „Два таланти мені передав ти, — ось іще два тала́нти здобу́в я“.	22 Then the one with the two talents came and he said, My lord, you gave me two talents, behold I have gained two others to them.
23 Сказав йому пан його: „Гаразд, рабе добрий і вірний! Ти в мало́му був вірний, над великим поставлю тебе, — увійди до радощів пана свого!“	23 His lord said to him, Well done, good and reliable servant, you have been faithful over a little, I will appoint you over much; enter into your master's joy.
24 Підійшов же і той, що одного таланта взяв, і сказав: „Я знав тебе, па́не, що тверда́ ти люди́на, — ти жнеш, де не сіяв, і збираєш, де не розси́пав.	24 Then the one who received one talent also came up, and he said, My lord, I knew that you are a hard man, and you reap where you did not sow, and gather where you did not scatter.
25 І я побоявся, — пішов і таланта твого сховав у землю. Ото маєш своє“.	25 So I was afraid, and I went and hid your talent in the ground; here it is, it is your own one.
26 І відповів його пан і сказав йому: „Рабе лукавий і лінивий! Ти знав, що я жну, де не сіяв, і збираю, де не розси́пав?	26 His lord answered and said to him, O wicked and lazy servant, you knew me that I reap where I did not sow, and I gather where I did not scatter.
27 Тож тобі було треба віддати гроші мої грошомінам, і, вернувшись, я взяв би з прибу́тком своє.	27 You should then have put my money in the exchange, and when I returned I would have demanded my own with interest.
28 Візьміть же від нього таланта, і віддайте тому́, що десять талантів він має.	28 Therefore take away the talent from him, and give it to the one who has ten talents.
29 Бо кожному, хто має, дасться йому та й додасться, хто ж не має, — забереться від нього й те, що він має.	29 For to him who has, it shall he given, and it shall increase to him; but he who has not, even that which he has shall be taken away from him.

34 Тоді скаже Цар тим, хто право́руч Його: „Прийдіть, благословенні Мого Отця, посядьте Царство, уготоване вам від закла́дин світу.	34 Then the King will say to those at his right, Come, you blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom which has been prepared for you from the foundation of the world.
35 Бо Я голодував був — і ви нагодували Мене, пра́гнув — і ви напоїли Мене, мандрівником Я був — і Мене прийняли́ ви.	35 For I was hungry, and you gave me to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave me to drink; I was a stranger and you took me in;
36 Був наги́й — і Мене зодягли ви, слабував — і Мене ви відвідали, у в'язни́ці Я був — і прийшли ви до Мене“.	36 I was naked, and you covered me; I was sick, and you visited me; I was in prison, and you came to me.
37 Тоді відповідя́ть Йому праведні й скажуть: „Господи, коли то Тебе ми голодного бачили — і нагодували, або спрагненого — і напоїли?	37 Then the righteous will say to him, Our Lord, when did we see you hungry, and feed you? or thirsty and gave you drink?
38 Коли то Тебе мандрівником ми бачили — і прийняли́, чи наги́м — і зодягли?	38 And when did we see you a stranger, and took you in? Or that you were naked, and covered you?
39 Коли то Тебе ми недужого бачили, чи в в'язниці — і до Тебе прийшли?“	39 And when did we see you sick, or in the prison, and come to you?
40 Цар відповість і промовить до них: „Поправді кажу́ вам: що́ тільки вчинили ви одно́му з найменших братів Моїх цих, — те Мені ви вчинили“.	40 The king then will answer and say to them, Truly I tell you, Inasmuch as you have done it to one of these least brethren, you did it to me.
41 Тоді скаже й тим, хто ліво́руч: „Ідіть ви від Мене, прокля́ті, у вічний огонь, що дияволові та його посланця́м пригото́ваний.	41 Then he will also say to those at his left, Go away from me, you cursed, to the everlasting fire, which is prepared for the adversary and his angels.
42 Бо Я голодував був — і не нагодували Мене, пра́гнув — і ви не напоїли Мене,	42 For I was hungry, and you did not give me to eat; I was thirsty, and you did not give me to drink;
43 мандрівником Я був — і не прийняли́ ви Мене, був наги́й — і не зодягли ви Мене, слабий і в в'язниці — і Мене не відвідали ви“.	43 I was a stranger, and you did not take me in; I was naked, and you did not cover me; I was sick and in prison and you did not visit me.
44 Тоді відповідять і вони, промовляючи: „Господи, коли то Тебе ми голодного бачили, або спра́гненого, або мандрівником, чи наго́го, чи недужого, чи в в'язниці — і не послужили Тобі?“	44 Then they also will answer and say, Our lord, when did we see you hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick or in the prison, and did not minister to you?
45 Тоді Він відповість їм і скаже: „Поправді кажу вам: чого тільки одному з найменших цих ви не вчинили, — Мені не вчинили!“	45 Then he will answer and say to them, Truly I say to you, Inasmuch as you did not do it to one of these least ones, you also did not do it to me.
46 І ці пі́дуть на вічную муку, а праведники — на вічне життя“.	46 And these shall go into everlasting torment, and the righteous into eternal life.
