2 І ви́кореню Я Сіонську дочку́, вродли́ву та ви́пещену. |
|
3 Пастухи поприхо́дять до неї з своїми стада́ми, понапина́ють наме́ти навко́ло при ній, кожен місце своє випаса́тиме. |
|
4 Приготуйте війну проти неї, вставайте та вдармо опі́вдні! Горе нам, бо минає вже день, бо вже тя́гнуться тіні вечі́рні! |
|
5 Уставайте та пі́демо вночі і пони́щмо пала́ти її! |
|
6 Бо так промовляє Господь Саваот: Постина́йте дере́ва та ва́ла насипте при Єрусалимі! Він те місто, що має зруйно́ване бути, в ньому повно наси́льства: |
|
7 як випри́скує воду свою джерело́, так випри́скує він своє зло. Насилля й грабіж чуті в ньому, перед обличчям Моїм безпере́стань хворо́ба та рана. |
|
8 Будь на́вчений, Єрусалиме, щоб душа Моя не відверну́лась від тебе, щоб тебе не вчинив Я спусто́шенням, незасе́леним кра́єм! |
|
9 Так говорить Госпо́дь Савао́т: Позбирають доре́шти оста́нки Ізраїля, мов виноградові ре́штки, — простягни́ свою руку, немов виногра́дар по гро́на! |
|
10 До ко́го я буду казати та сві́дчити буду, — і слуха́тимуть? Необрізане ось їхнє вухо — і слухати уважно не можуть вони, ось слово Господнє для них стало по́сміхом — вони не жада́ють його́! |
|
11 І гніву Господнього по́вен я став, зму́чився я, його стримуючи, — на вулиці виллю його на дітей та на збір юнакі́в одноча́сно, бо схо́плені будуть чоловік із жінкою, старий із віджи́лим літа́, |
|
12 і дістануться іншим доми́ їхні, теж поля́ та жінки́. Бо Я руку Свою простягну́ на мешка́нців цієї землі, говорить Госпо́дь. |
|
13 Бо вони від мало́го свого й до великого, — усі пожадли́ві на зи́ски, і від пророка та аж до священика роблять неправду. |
|
14 І рани наро́ду Мого́ легковажно лікують, говорячи: „Мир, мир“, а миру нема! |
|
15 Чи вони засоромилися, що гидо́ту робили? не засоро́милися ані тро́хи вони й застида́тись не вміють. Тому́ то впадуть між упа́лими в ча́сі, — коли їх навіщу́ Я, спіткну́ться, говорить Госпо́дь. |
|
16 Так говорить Госпо́дь: На дорогах спині́ться та гляньте, і спитайте про давні стежки́, де то добра дорога, — то нею ідіть, і зна́йдете мир для своєї душі! Та вони відказали: „Не пі́демо!“ |
|
17 І Я сторожі́в був поставив над вами, говорячи: Прислуха́йтесь до голосу сурми́! Та вони відказали: „Не будем прислу́хуватись! |
|
18 Тому слухайте, люди, і пізнай, ти грома́до, що станеться з ними. |
|
19 Послухай, ти зе́мле: Ось Я веду́ на наро́д цей лихе, плід їхніх думо́к, бо до слів Моїх не прислуха́лись вони, а Зако́ном Моїм погорди́ли! |
|
20 Наві́що Мені те кади́ло, що з Шеви прихо́дить, запашни́й очере́т із далекого кра́ю? Цілопа́лення ваші не любі Мені, ваші ж жертви Мені не приємні! |
|
21 Тому́ то Господь каже так: Ось Я дам спотика́ння оцьо́му наро́дові, і спіткну́ться об них разом ваші батьки́ та сини́, сусід та приятель його, — і загинуть! |
|
22 Так говорить Госпо́дь: Ось прихо́дить наро́д із півні́чного кра́ю, і збу́джується люд великий із кі́нців землі. |
|
23 Лу́ка та ра́тище міцно тримають, жорстокі вони й милосердя не мають, їхній голос, як море реве́, і гарцю́ють на ко́нях вони. Ушико́ваний, мов чоловік той до бо́ю, на те́бе, о до́чко Сіону! |
|
24 Як почули ми звістку про ньо́го, омлі́ли нам руки, обняла́ нас триво́га та біль, немов в породі́ллі. |
|
25 Не вихо́дьте на поле й не йді́те дорогою, бо в во́рога меч та страхі́ття навко́ло! |
|
26 До́чко наро́ду Мого́, — вере́тою підпережи́сь та качайся у по́пелі! Справ жало́бу собі, немов над одноро́дженим, голосі́ння гірке́, — бо при́йде знена́цька руїнник на нас! |
|
27 Я дав був тебе випробо́вувачем у наро́ді Моїм, за тверди́ню, щоб ти знав і випробо́вував їхню доро́гу. |
|
28 Вони всі відсту́пники над відсту́пниками, чинять на́клепи, усі вони мідь та залізо, вони згу́бники! |
|
29 Спали́лося ду́хало, від огню́ зникло о́ливо, — нада́рмо стара́нно розто́плювано, бо злих не відді́лено. |
|
30 Срі́блом відки́неним на́звано їх, бо Госпо́дь їх відкинув“. |

|
1 O CHILDREN of Benjamin, flee out of the midst of Jerusalem! Blow the trumpet and set up a standard in Beth-keram; for I am bringing a calamity out of the north, and great destruction. |
|
2 I have likened the daughter of Zion to a comely and delicate woman. |
|
3 The shepherds with their flocks shall come to her; they shall pitch their tents against her round about; they shall feed every one in his place. |
|
4 Prepare war against her; and say, Arise, let us go up at noon. Woe to us! for the day is spent, and the shadows of the evening are lengthened. |
|
5 Arise, and let us go up against her by night, and let us destroy her palaces. |
|
6 For thus says the LORD of hosts, Hew down her trees and cast a mound against Jerusalem; this is the city to be visited with destruction; all of her calumnies are in the midst of her. |
|
7 As a cistern that gathers its water, so has she gathered her wickedness; violence and plunder are heard in her; before me continually are grief and wounds. |
|
8 Be chastised, O Jerusalem, lest my soul abhor you; lest I make you desolate like an uninhabited land. |
|
9 Thus says the LORD of hosts, They shall thoroughly glean the remnant of Israel as a vine; turn back your hand as a grape gatherer when he gleans the grapes. |
|
10 To whom shall I speak and give warning, that they may hear? Behold, their ears are dull and they cannot hear; behold, the word of the LORD is to them a reproach; they have no delight in it. |
|
11 Therefore you are full of the fury of the LORD, and you are weary; I will measure and then I will pour it out upon the children in the streets and upon the assembly of young men together; for even the husbands and wives shall be taken, the old men with the infants. |
|
12 Their houses shall be given to others, with their fields and wives together; for I will stretch out my hand against the inhabitants of the land, says the LORD. |
|
13 For from the least of them even to the greatest of them every one commits treachery; and from the false prophets even to the priests every one of them deals falsely. |
|
14 And yet they try to heal the wound of the daughter of my people mockingly, saying, Peace, peace, when there is no peace. |
|
15 Now they are ashamed because they had committed abomination, but the impudent are not ashamed at all, neither do they know what chastisement is; therefore they shall fall among them that fall; at the time that I visit them with punishment they shall be overthrown, says the LORD. |
|
16 Thus says the LORD, Stand in the ways and see, and ask for the old paths and see where is the good way, and walk in it and find rest for your souls. But you said, We will not walk therein. |
|
17 Also I set watchmen over you, so that you might hearken to the sound of the trumpet. But you said, We will not hearken. |
|
18 Therefore hear, O nations, and know, O congregation, the deceit that is among them. |
|
19 Hear, O earth! Behold, I will bring evil upon this people according to the fruits of their imaginations, because they have not hearkened to my words, and my law they have rejected. |
|
20 To what purpose do you bring to me incense from Sheba and the cane of sweet incense from a far country? Your burnt offerings are not acceptable to me, nor do your sacrifices please me. |
|
21 Therefore thus says the LORD, Behold, I will lay stumblingblocks before this people, and the fathers and the sons together shall fall upon them; and the neighbor and his friend shall perish. |
|
22 Thus said the LORD, Behold, a people is coming from the north country, and a great nation shall be raised from the ends of the earth. |
|
23 They shall be armed with bows and spears; they are cruel and have no mercy; their voices roar like the sea; and they ride upon horses set in array as men for war against you, O daughter of Zion. |
|
24 We have heard the report of them; our hands wax feeble; anguish has taken hold of us, and pain as of a woman in travail. |
|
25 Go not forth into the field, nor walk by the way; for the sword of the enemies is on every side. |
|
26 O daughter of my people, gird yourself with sackcloth and wallow in ashes; make for yourself mourning, as for an only son, most bitter lamentation; for the plunderers shall suddenly come upon you. |
|
27 I have set you as a seer among my great people, that you may know and understand their ways. |
|
28 Their rulers are all rebellious, walking treacherously; like brass and iron, they are corruptible. |
|
29 The bellows are burned, the lead is consumed by their fire; the refiner purges in vain; for their evil does not come out. |
|
30 Rejected silver, they are called, because the LORD has rejected them. |

12 і дістануться іншим доми́ їхні, теж поля́ та жінки́. Бо Я руку Свою простягну́ на мешка́нців цієї землі, говорить Госпо́дь. |

15 Чи вони засоромилися, що гидо́ту робили? не засоро́милися ані тро́хи вони й застида́тись не вміють. Тому́ то впадуть між упа́лими в ча́сі, — коли їх навіщу́ Я, спіткну́ться, говорить Госпо́дь. |
15 Now they are ashamed because they had committed abomination, but the impudent are not ashamed at all, neither do they know what chastisement is; therefore they shall fall among them that fall; at the time that I visit them with punishment they shall be overthrown, says the LORD. |
|
16 Так говорить Госпо́дь: На дорогах спині́ться та гляньте, і спитайте про давні стежки́, де то добра дорога, — то нею ідіть, і зна́йдете мир для своєї душі! Та вони відказали: „Не пі́демо!“ |
16 Thus says the LORD, Stand in the ways and see, and ask for the old paths and see where is the good way, and walk in it and find rest for your souls. But you said, We will not walk therein. |

23 Лу́ка та ра́тище міцно тримають, жорстокі вони й милосердя не мають, їхній голос, як море реве́, і гарцю́ють на ко́нях вони. Ушико́ваний, мов чоловік той до бо́ю, на те́бе, о до́чко Сіону! |
