1 Господь сказал Моисею:

2 «Вели народу отсылать из стана всякого нечистого человека, то есть у кого серьёзное кожное заболевание или выделения, а также любого, кто дотронется до мёртвого тела.

3 Отсылай прочь из стана и мужчин, и женщин, чтобы они не распространяли болезни или заразу в стане, где Я живу среди вас».

4 Народ повиновался Богу. Они отослали таких людей прочь из стана и сделали так, как Господь повелел Моисею.

5 Господь сказал Моисею:

6 «Поведай израильскому народу: если один человек причинит вред другому, он тем самым грешит против Бога и виновен в преступлении.

7 Поэтому пусть тот человек расскажет людям о совершённом им грехе, а потом сполна заплатит за причинённый вред, и пусть прибавит к плате пятую часть её и заплатит всё это человеку, которому причинил вред.

8 Если у мёртвого нет близких родственников, чтобы принять плату, то причинивший вред отдаст плату Господу. Тот человек заплатит сполна священнику, священник же пусть принесёт в жертву барана очищения. Пусть этот баран будет принесён в жертву в искупление грехов согрешившего, остаток же платы священник может оставить себе.

9 Если кто из израильского народа принесёт священный дар, то священник, принимающий дар, может оставить его себе, это принадлежит ему.

10 Эти священные дары приносить не обязательно, но если человек приносит их, то дары принадлежат священнику».

11 Затем Господь молвил Моисею:

12 «Скажи израильскому народу вот что: если случится, что жена неверна мужу,

13 то есть имеет сношения с другим мужчиной и скрывает это от мужа, и некому сказать мужу, что жена согрешила, то её муж может никогда не узнать о том, что она согрешила, она же сама может не сказать мужу о своём грехе.

14 Муж, однако, может начать подозревать, что жена согрешила против него, станет ревновать и думать, что она нечиста и неверна ему.

15 Пусть он тогда отведёт жену к священнику и принесёт за неё в жертву восемь чашек ячменной муки, но пусть не кладёт в муку ни оливкового масла, ни ладана. Ячменная мука — хлебное приношение Господу, приношение ревности. Это — приношение в знак того, что муж считает свою жену неверной.

16 Священник приведёт женщину и поставит её перед Господом,

17 потом возьмёт особую воду и нальёт в глиняный кувшин, а затем положит в воду немного земли с пола священного шатра.

18 После этого он велит женщине встать перед Господом, распустит ей волосы, вложит в руку хлебное приношение: ячменную муку, принесённую её мужем по причине ревности. У него же в руках будет глиняный кувшин с особой водой, наводящей на женщину проклятие.

19 Потом священник скажет женщине, чтобы она не лгала, и она должна пообещать сказать правду. Священник скажет ей: „Если ты не спала с другим мужчиной и не согрешила против мужа за время своего замужества, то эта вода, наводящая проклятие, не причинит тебе вреда.

20 Если же ты согрешила против мужа, если имела сношения с мужчиной, который тебе не муж, то ты осквернилась

21 и, выпив эту воду, ты будешь проклята: не сможешь иметь детей, а если сейчас беременна, то дитя умрёт. И тогда твой народ отречётся от тебя и проклянёт”. Затем пусть священник велит женщине, чтобы она дала Господу клятву и сказала, что все эти беды случатся с ней, если она солжёт.

22 Пусть священник скажет: „Ты должна выпить эту воду, наводящую проклятие. Если ты согрешила, то не сможешь иметь детей, а если беременна, то дитя умрёт, не родившись”. А женщина пусть скажет: „Согласна сделать, как ты говоришь”.

23 Пусть священник напишет эти заклинания на свитке, а потом смоет слова в воду.

24 Пусть женщина выпьет эту воду, наводящую проклятие, тогда эта вода войдёт внутрь её и вызовет страшные муки.

25 Затем священник возьмёт у неё хлебное приношение, приношение в знак ревности, и вознесёт его перед Господом, а потом принесёт его к алтарю.

26 Священник возьмёт в руки часть зерна, положит его на алтарь и сожжёт его там, а после этого велит женщине выпить воду.

27 Если женщина согрешила против мужа, то вода наведёт на не проклятие: войдёт в тело и вызовет у неё страшные муки. Если внутри у не дитя, то оно умрёт, не родившись, и эта женщина больше никогда не сможет иметь детей, и весь народ будет против неё.

28 Если же женщина не согрешила против мужа, то священник скажет, что она невинна. С ней ничего не случится, и она сможет иметь детей.

29 Вот каков закон о ревности, вот что следует делать, если женщина согрешила против мужа во время замужества,

30 и что следует делать мужу, если он ревнует и подозревает, что жена согрешила против него. Пусть священник велит женщине встать перед Господом и сделает с ней всё по этому закону.

31 Муж не будет повинен ни в каком грехе, женщина же пострадает, если согрешила».

1 THE LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

2 Command the children of Israel that they put out of the camp every leper and every one who has a discharge and whosoever has defiled himself;

3 Both male and female shall you put outside the camp, that they may not defile your camps, for I dwell among you.

4 And the children of Israel did so, and put them outside the camp; as the LORD had said to Moses, so did the children of Israel.

5 And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

6 Say to the children of Israel, When a man or a woman shall commit any sin that men commit, to do wrong in the sight of the LORD, and that person shall be guilty,

7 Then he shall confess his sins which he has committed; and his guilt shall return upon his own head; and he shall add a fifth part thereof, and give it to him whom he had wronged.

8 And if the person has no kinsman to whom to recompense the trespass, let the trespass offering which they bring on his behalf before the LORD be given to the priest in addition to the ram of the atonement with which an atonement is made for him.

9 And every offering of all the holy things of the children of Israel which they bring to the priest shall be his.

10 And every man's hallowed things shall be his; and whatever any man gives to the priest, shall be his.

11 And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

12 Speak to the children of Israel and say to them, If any man's wife does wrong, and commits a trespass against him,

13 And a man lies with her carnally and it is hidden from the eyes of her husband and the act is kept secret and she is defiled and there is no witness against her, neither is she caught in the act,

14 And the temper of jealousy comes upon him and he be jealous of his wife and she is defiled; or if the temper of jealousy comes upon him and he becomes jealous of his wife and she is not defiled,

15 Then the man shall bring his wife to the priest, and he shall bring as his offering a tenth part of an ephah of barley flour; and he shall pour no oil upon it, nor put frankincense upon it; for it is a meal offering of jealousy, a meal offering for a memorial, bringing iniquity to remembrance.

16 And the priest shall bring her near, and she shall stand before the LORD;

17 And the priest shall take holy water in an earthen vessel; and some of the dust that is in the base of the altar of the tabernacle the priest shall take and put it into the water;

18 And the priest shall set the woman before the LORD and shave the woman's head and put the offering of memorial in her hands, which is the jealousy offering; and the priest shall have in his hand the bitter water of testing;

19 And the priest shall charge the woman by an oath, and say to her, If no man has lain with you besides your husband, and if you have not done wrong and become unclean, be absolved from these charges by this bitter water of testing;

20 But if you have done wrong by having lain with another man besides your husband, and if you have defiled yourself, and some other man has lain with you besides your husband;

21 Then the priest shall adjure the woman with the oaths of cursing, and the priest shall say to the woman, The LORD make you a curse and an oath among your people, when the LORD makes your thigh to rot and your belly to swell;

22 And this water of testing shall go into your belly and make your belly to swell and your thighs to rot; and the woman shall say, Amen, amen.

23 And the priest shall write these curses in a book, and he shall blot out the writing in the water of testing;

24 And he shall make the woman drink the bitter water of testing; and the water of testing shall enter into her, to try her.

25 Then the priest shall take the jealousy meal offering out of the woman's hand, and shall wave the meal offering before the LORD, and offer it upon the altar;

26 And the priest shall take some of the meal offering as the memorial thereof, and burn it upon the altar, and afterward shall make the woman drink the water.

27 And when he has made her drink the water, if she has defiled herself and has committed iniquity against her husband, the water of testing shall enter into her, and shall try her, and if her belly shall swell and her thighs shall rot, then that woman shall be a curse among her people.

28 But if the woman has not defiled herself, but is pure, then she shall be absolved, and shall bear a male child.

29 This is the law of jealousy when a woman does wrong by having lain with another man besides her husband and defiles herself,

30 Or when the temper of jealousy comes upon a man and he is jealous over his wife and shall set the woman before the LORD, and the priest shall execute upon her all this law;

31 Then the man shall be blameless from guilt, but the woman shall bear her iniquity.

4 Народ повиновался Богу. Они отослали таких людей прочь из стана и сделали так, как Господь повелел Моисею.

4 And the children of Israel did so, and put them outside the camp; as the LORD had said to Moses, so did the children of Israel.

5 Господь сказал Моисею:

5 And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

6 «Поведай израильскому народу: если один человек причинит вред другому, он тем самым грешит против Бога и виновен в преступлении.

6 Say to the children of Israel, When a man or a woman shall commit any sin that men commit, to do wrong in the sight of the LORD, and that person shall be guilty,

7 Поэтому пусть тот человек расскажет людям о совершённом им грехе, а потом сполна заплатит за причинённый вред, и пусть прибавит к плате пятую часть её и заплатит всё это человеку, которому причинил вред.

7 Then he shall confess his sins which he has committed; and his guilt shall return upon his own head; and he shall add a fifth part thereof, and give it to him whom he had wronged.

8 Если у мёртвого нет близких родственников, чтобы принять плату, то причинивший вред отдаст плату Господу. Тот человек заплатит сполна священнику, священник же пусть принесёт в жертву барана очищения. 8 And if the person has no kinsman to whom to recompense the trespass, let the trespass offering which they bring on his behalf before the LORD be given to the priest in addition to the ram of the atonement with which an atonement is made for him.

9 Если кто из израильского народа принесёт священный дар, то священник, принимающий дар, может оставить его себе, это принадлежит ему.

9 And every offering of all the holy things of the children of Israel which they bring to the priest shall be his.

10 Эти священные дары приносить не обязательно, но если человек приносит их, то дары принадлежат священнику».

10 And every man's hallowed things shall be his; and whatever any man gives to the priest, shall be his.

11 Затем Господь молвил Моисею:

11 And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

12 «Скажи израильскому народу вот что: если случится, что жена неверна мужу,

12 Speak to the children of Israel and say to them, If any man's wife does wrong, and commits a trespass against him,

13 то есть имеет сношения с другим мужчиной и скрывает это от мужа, и некому сказать мужу, что жена согрешила, то её муж может никогда не узнать о том, что она согрешила, она же сама может не сказать мужу о своём грехе.

13 And a man lies with her carnally and it is hidden from the eyes of her husband and the act is kept secret and she is defiled and there is no witness against her, neither is she caught in the act,

14 Муж, однако, может начать подозревать, что жена согрешила против него, станет ревновать и думать, что она нечиста и неверна ему.

14 And the temper of jealousy comes upon him and he be jealous of his wife and she is defiled; or if the temper of jealousy comes upon him and he becomes jealous of his wife and she is not defiled,

15 Пусть он тогда отведёт жену к священнику и принесёт за неё в жертву восемь чашек ячменной муки, но пусть не кладёт в муку ни оливкового масла, ни ладана. Ячменная мука — хлебное приношение Господу, приношение ревности. Это — приношение в знак того, что муж считает свою жену неверной.

15 Then the man shall bring his wife to the priest, and he shall bring as his offering a tenth part of an ephah of barley flour; and he shall pour no oil upon it, nor put frankincense upon it; for it is a meal offering of jealousy, a meal offering for a memorial, bringing iniquity to remembrance.

16 Священник приведёт женщину и поставит её перед Господом,

16 And the priest shall bring her near, and she shall stand before the LORD;

17 потом возьмёт особую воду и нальёт в глиняный кувшин, а затем положит в воду немного земли с пола священного шатра.

17 And the priest shall take holy water in an earthen vessel; and some of the dust that is in the base of the altar of the tabernacle the priest shall take and put it into the water;

18 После этого он велит женщине встать перед Господом, распустит ей волосы, вложит в руку хлебное приношение: ячменную муку, принесённую её мужем по причине ревности. У него же в руках будет глиняный кувшин с особой водой, наводящей на женщину проклятие.

18 And the priest shall set the woman before the LORD and shave the woman's head and put the offering of memorial in her hands, which is the jealousy offering; and the priest shall have in his hand the bitter water of testing;

19 Потом священник скажет женщине, чтобы она не лгала, и она должна пообещать сказать правду. Священник скажет ей: „Если ты не спала с другим мужчиной и не согрешила против мужа за время своего замужества, то эта вода, наводящая проклятие, не причинит тебе вреда.

19 And the priest shall charge the woman by an oath, and say to her, If no man has lain with you besides your husband, and if you have not done wrong and become unclean, be absolved from these charges by this bitter water of testing;

20 Если же ты согрешила против мужа, если имела сношения с мужчиной, который тебе не муж, то ты осквернилась

20 But if you have done wrong by having lain with another man besides your husband, and if you have defiled yourself, and some other man has lain with you besides your husband;

21 и, выпив эту воду, ты будешь проклята: не сможешь иметь детей, а если сейчас беременна, то дитя умрёт. И тогда твой народ отречётся от тебя и проклянёт”. Затем пусть священник велит женщине, чтобы она дала Господу клятву и сказала, что все эти беды случатся с ней, если она солжёт.

21 Then the priest shall adjure the woman with the oaths of cursing, and the priest shall say to the woman, The LORD make you a curse and an oath among your people, when the LORD makes your thigh to rot and your belly to swell;

22 And this water of testing shall go into your belly and make your belly to swell and your thighs to rot; and the woman shall say, Amen, amen.

26 And the priest shall take some of the meal offering as the memorial thereof, and burn it upon the altar, and afterward shall make the woman drink the water.

27 Если женщина согрешила против мужа, то вода наведёт на не проклятие: войдёт в тело и вызовет у неё страшные муки. Если внутри у не дитя, то оно умрёт, не родившись, и эта женщина больше никогда не сможет иметь детей, и весь народ будет против неё.

27 And when he has made her drink the water, if she has defiled herself and has committed iniquity against her husband, the water of testing shall enter into her, and shall try her, and if her belly shall swell and her thighs shall rot, then that woman shall be a curse among her people.

28 Если же женщина не согрешила против мужа, то священник скажет, что она невинна. С ней ничего не случится, и она сможет иметь детей.

28 But if the woman has not defiled herself, but is pure, then she shall be absolved, and shall bear a male child.

29 Вот каков закон о ревности, вот что следует делать, если женщина согрешила против мужа во время замужества,

29 This is the law of jealousy when a woman does wrong by having lain with another man besides her husband and defiles herself,

30 и что следует делать мужу, если он ревнует и подозревает, что жена согрешила против него. Пусть священник велит женщине встать перед Господом и сделает с ней всё по этому закону.

30 Or when the temper of jealousy comes upon a man and he is jealous over his wife and shall set the woman before the LORD, and the priest shall execute upon her all this law;

31 Муж не будет повинен ни в каком грехе, женщина же пострадает, если согрешила».

31 Then the man shall be blameless from guilt, but the woman shall bear her iniquity.
