Книга пророка Даниила

Глава 3

1 Царь Навуходоносор сделал из золота статую шестидесяти локтей в вышину и шести локтей в ширину и поставил ее на равнине Дура, что в провинции Вавилон.

2 Затем он послал собрать сатрапов, военачальников, наместников, советников, казначеев, судей, городских старейшин и всех прочих сановников из провинций, чтобы они прибыли на освящение поставленного им истукана.

3 И сатрапы, военачальники, наместники, советники, казначеи, судьи, городские старейшины и все прочие сановники из провинций собрались на освящение статуи, поставленной царем Навуходоносором, и встали перед ней.

4 И глашатай громко воскликнул: — Вот что приказано вам исполнить, о народы, племена и люди всякого языка:

5 как только вы услышите звуки рога, флейты, цитры, лиры, арфы, свирели и всяких других музыкальных инструментов, падите ниц и поклонитесь золотой статуе, которую поставил царь Навуходоносор!

6 Всякий, кто не падет ниц и не поклонится, тотчас же будет брошен в огненную печь!

7 И едва лишь услышав звуки рога, свирели, цитры, лиры, арфы и других музыкальных инструментов, все народы, племена и люди всякого языка пали ниц и поклонились золотой статуе, поставленной царем Навуходоносором.

8 В это время некоторые из мудрецов-халдеев пришли и донесли на иудеев.

9 Они сказали царю Навуходоносору: — О царь, живи вечно!

10 Ты издал указ, о царь, чтобы всякий, кто услышит звук рога, флейты, цитры, лиры, арфы, свирели и других музыкальных инструментов, пал ниц и поклонился золотой статуе,

11 и чтобы всякого, кто не упадет ниц и не поклонится, бросили в огненную печь.

12 Но есть иудеи, которых ты поставил над делами провинции Вавилон — Шадрах, Мешах и Аведнего, — которые не слушают тебя, о царь. Они не служат твоим богам и не поклоняются золотой статуе, которую ты поставил.

13 Страшно разгневавшись, Навуходоносор велел привести Шадраха, Мешаха и Аведнего. Их привели к царю,

14 и Навуходоносор сказал им: — Шадрах, Мешах и Аведнего, правда ли то, что вы не служите моим богам и не поклоняетесь золотой статуе, которую я поставил?

15 Итак, если вы готовы, услышав звуки рога, флейты, цитры, лиры, арфы, свирели и других музыкальных инструментов, упасть ниц и поклониться статуе, которую я поставил, хорошо. Но если вы не поклонитесь ей, вас тотчас же бросят в огненную печь. И какой бог сможет тогда избавить вас от моей руки?

16 Шадрах, Мешах и Аведнего ответили царю: — О Навуходоносор, нам нет нужды защищаться перед тобой в этом деле.

17 Если нас бросят в огненную печь, то Бог, Которому мы служим, может спасти нас из нее и избавить нас от твоей руки, о царь.

18 Но даже если нет, мы хотим, чтобы ты знал, о царь: мы не будем служить твоим богам и поклоняться золотой статуе, которую ты поставил.

19 Тогда Навуходоносор разозлился на Шадраха, Мешаха и Аведнего, и его лицо исказилось от злости. Он приказал раскалить печь в семь раз жарче, чем обычно,

20 и велел сильнейшим воинам своего войска связать Шадраха, Мешаха и Аведнего и бросить их в огненную печь.

21 Тогда этих мужчин, в их накидках, шароварах и головных повязках — во всей их одежде, связали и бросили в огненную печь.

22 По строгому приказу царя печь была так раскалена, что языки пламени убили воинов, поднявших Шадраха, Мешаха и Аведнего,

23 а те трое — Шадрах, Мешах и Аведнего — упали, крепко связанные, в огненную печь.

24 Тогда царь Навуходоносор в изумлении вскочил и спросил советников: — Не троих ли мы связали и бросили в печь? Они ответили: — Истинно так, о царь.

25 Он сказал: — Но я вижу, как в огне ходят четверо, несвязанные и невредимые, и четвертый похож на сына богов!

26 Навуходоносор подошел к отверстию огненной печи и закричал: — Шадрах, Мешах и Аведнего, слуги Всевышнего Бога, выходите! Идите сюда! Шадрах, Мешах и Аведнего вышли из огня,

27 а сатрапы, военачальники, наместники и царские советники столпились вокруг них. Они увидели, что огонь не повредил их тела и не опалил ни одного волоса у них на головах; их одежды не обгорели, от них даже не пахло горелым.

28 И Навуходоносор сказал: — Хвала Богу Шадраха, Мешаха и Аведнего, Который послал Своего ангела и спас Своих слуг! Они верили Ему и нарушили царское повеление, и были готовы скорее проститься с жизнью, чем служить и поклоняться другому богу, кроме своего Бога.

29 Поэтому я повелеваю, чтобы людей всякого народа, племени и языка, которые оскорбят Бога Шадраха, Мешаха и Аведнего, разрубили на куски, а дома их превратили в груды развалин, потому что нет другого бога, который мог бы так спасать.

30 И царь дал Шадраху, Мешаху и Аведнего высокие должности в провинции Вавилон.

31 Царь Навуходоносор всем народам, племенам и людям всякого языка, живущим по всей земле: Да умножится ваше благополучие!

32 Мне угодно рассказать вам о знамениях и чудесах, которые сотворил для меня Всевышний Бог.

33 Какое величие в Его знамениях, какая сила в Его чудесах! Царство Его — вечное царство; владычество Его — из рода в род!

Chapter 3

1 NEBUCHADNEZZAR the king made an image of gold, whose height was sixty cubits and its breadth six cubits; and he set it up in the plain of Dora, in the province of Babylon.

2 Then Nebuchadnezzar the king sent to gather together the generals of the armies, the lords, the governors, the judges, the treasurers, the counsellors, the sheriffs, and all the rulers of the provinces, to come to the dedication of the image which Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up.

3 Then all the generals of the armies, the lords, the governors, the judges, the treasurers, the counsellors, the sheriffs, and all the rulers of the provinces were gathered together to the dedication of the new image which Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up; and they stood up before the image that King Nebuchadnezzar had set up.

4 Then a herald cried aloud, and said, To you it is commanded, O peoples, nations, and languages,

5 That at the hour when you hear the sound of the trumpet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and all kinds of music, you must fall down and worship the golden image which Nebuchadnezzar the king has set up;

6 And whosoever does not fall down and worship shall at the same hour be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace.

7 Therefore at the hour when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, the flute, the harp, the sackbut, the psaltery, and all kinds of music, all the peoples, the nations, and the languages fell down and worshipped the golden image which Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up.

8 And at that very time certain Chaldeans came near and accused the Jews.

9 They said to King Nebuchadnezzar, O king, live for ever!

10 You, O king, have made a decree, that every man who shall hear the sound of the trumpet, the flute, the harp, the sackbut, the psaltery, and all kinds of music, shall fall down and worship the golden image which you have set up;

11 And whosoever does not fall down and worship shall be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace.

12 There are certain Jews whom you have appointed over the affairs of the province of Babylon: Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego; these men, O king, have not regarded you; they do not serve your god, nor do they worship the golden image which you have set up.

13 Then King Nebuchadnezzar in his rage and fury commanded to bring Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. And they brought them before the king.

14 Then Nebuchadnezzar the king spoke and said to them, Is it true, O Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, that you do not serve my god nor worship the golden image which I have set up?

15 Now if you are ready, at the time you hear the sound of the trumpet, the flute, the harp, the sackbut, the psaltery, and all kinds of music, to fall down and worship the image which I have made, good; but if you do not worship, you shall at once be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace; and who is your god that shall deliver you out of my hands?

16 Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego answered and said to King Nebuchadnezzar, There is no use to answer you concerning this matter;

17 For there is our God whom we serve, he is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of your hand, O king.

18 Then the king shall know that we will not serve your god nor worship the golden image which you have set up.

19 Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was filled with fury, and the countenance of his face was changed against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego; and he commanded that the furnace should be heated seven times more than it was customarily heated.

20 And he commanded some of the mighty men in the army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and to cast them into the burning fiery furnace.

21 Then the mighty men bound them in their trousers, their undergarments, their robes, and their hats, and cast them into the fiery furnace.

22 Because the king's command was hasty and the furnace was exceedingly hot, the flames of the fire killed those who had accused Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.

23 But the three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace. (And they rose up and walked bound in the midst of the flame, praising God and blessing the LORD.)

24 Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was alarmed and rose up in a great fear, and spoke and said to his princes, Did we not cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said to the king, True, O king.

25 The king answered and said, Behold I see men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they are not hurt; and the appearance of the fourth is like that of the Son of God.

26 Then Nebuchadnezzar the king drew near to the mouth of the burning fiery furnace, and spoke and said, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, servants of the most High God, come forth and come hither. Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, came out of the midst of the fiery furnace.

27 And all the people, generals of the armies, governors, lords, and the great men of the king, being gathered together, saw these men upon whose bodies the fire had no power nor was the hair of their head singed neither were their trousers burned nor had the smell of fire passed on them.

28 Then Nebuchadnezzar spoke and said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who has sent his angel and delivered his servants that trusted in him, and have rejected the king's word and offered their bodies that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God.

29 Therefore I make this decree: Every people, nation, and language which speaks blasphemy against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be plundered, because there is no other God that can deliver in this manner.

30 Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, in the province of Babylon.

3 И сатрапы, военачальники, наместники, советники, казначеи, судьи, городские старейшины и все прочие сановники из провинций собрались на освящение статуи, поставленной царем Навуходоносором, и встали перед ней.	3 Then all the generals of the armies, the lords, the governors, the judges, the treasurers, the counsellors, the sheriffs, and all the rulers of the provinces were gathered together to the dedication of the new image which Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up; and they stood up before the image that King Nebuchadnezzar had set up.
4 И глашатай громко воскликнул: — Вот что приказано вам исполнить, о народы, племена и люди всякого языка:	4 Then a herald cried aloud, and said, To you it is commanded, O peoples, nations, and languages,
5 как только вы услышите звуки рога, флейты, цитры, лиры, арфы, свирели и всяких других музыкальных инструментов, падите ниц и поклонитесь золотой статуе, которую поставил царь Навуходоносор!	5 That at the hour when you hear the sound of the trumpet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and all kinds of music, you must fall down and worship the golden image which Nebuchadnezzar the king has set up;
6 Всякий, кто не падет ниц и не поклонится, тотчас же будет брошен в огненную печь!	6 And whosoever does not fall down and worship shall at the same hour be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace.
7 И едва лишь услышав звуки рога, свирели, цитры, лиры, арфы и других музыкальных инструментов, все народы, племена и люди всякого языка пали ниц и поклонились золотой статуе, поставленной царем Навуходоносором.	7 Therefore at the hour when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, the flute, the harp, the sackbut, the psaltery, and all kinds of music, all the peoples, the nations, and the languages fell down and worshipped the golden image which Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up.
8 В это время некоторые из мудрецов-халдеев пришли и донесли на иудеев.	8 And at that very time certain Chaldeans came near and accused the Jews.
9 Они сказали царю Навуходоносору: — О царь, живи вечно!	9 They said to King Nebuchadnezzar, O king, live for ever!
10 Ты издал указ, о царь, чтобы всякий, кто услышит звук рога, флейты, цитры, лиры, арфы, свирели и других музыкальных инструментов, пал ниц и поклонился золотой статуе,	10 You, O king, have made a decree, that every man who shall hear the sound of the trumpet, the flute, the harp, the sackbut, the psaltery, and all kinds of music, shall fall down and worship the golden image which you have set up;
11 и чтобы всякого, кто не упадет ниц и не поклонится, бросили в огненную печь.	11 And whosoever does not fall down and worship shall be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace.
12 Но есть иудеи, которых ты поставил над делами провинции Вавилон — Шадрах, Мешах и Аведнего, — которые не слушают тебя, о царь. Они не служат твоим богам и не поклоняются золотой статуе, которую ты поставил.	12 There are certain Jews whom you have appointed over the affairs of the province of Babylon: Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego; these men, O king, have not regarded you; they do not serve your god, nor do they worship the golden image which you have set up.
13 Страшно разгневавшись, Навуходоносор велел привести Шадраха, Мешаха и Аведнего. Их привели к царю,	13 Then King Nebuchadnezzar in his rage and fury commanded to bring Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. And they brought them before the king.
14 и Навуходоносор сказал им: — Шадрах, Мешах и Аведнего, правда ли то, что вы не служите моим богам и не поклоняетесь золотой статуе, которую я поставил?	14 Then Nebuchadnezzar the king spoke and said to them, Is it true, O Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, that you do not serve my god nor worship the golden image which I have set up?
15 Итак, если вы готовы, услышав звуки рога, флейты, цитры, лиры, арфы, свирели и других музыкальных инструментов, упасть ниц и поклониться статуе, которую я поставил, хорошо. Но если вы не поклонитесь ей, вас тотчас же бросят в огненную печь. И какой бог сможет тогда избавить вас от моей руки?	15 Now if you are ready, at the time you hear the sound of the trumpet, the flute, the harp, the sackbut, the psaltery, and all kinds of music, to fall down and worship the image which I have made, good; but if you do not worship, you shall at once be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace; and who is your god that shall deliver you out of my hands?
16 Шадрах, Мешах и Аведнего ответили царю: — О Навуходоносор, нам нет нужды защищаться перед тобой в этом деле.	16 Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego answered and said to King Nebuchadnezzar, There is no use to answer you concerning this matter;
17 Если нас бросят в огненную печь, то Бог, Которому мы служим, может спасти нас из нее и избавить нас от твоей руки, о царь.	17 For there is our God whom we serve, he is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of your hand, O king.
18 Но даже если нет, мы хотим, чтобы ты знал, о царь: мы не будем служить твоим богам и поклоняться золотой статуе, которую ты поставил.	18 Then the king shall know that we will not serve your god nor worship the golden image which you have set up.
19 Тогда Навуходоносор разозлился на Шадраха, Мешаха и Аведнего, и его лицо исказилось от злости. Он приказал раскалить печь в семь раз жарче, чем обычно,	19 Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was filled with fury, and the countenance of his face was changed against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego; and he commanded that the furnace should be heated seven times more than it was customarily heated.
20 и велел сильнейшим воинам своего войска связать Шадраха, Мешаха и Аведнего и бросить их в огненную печь.	20 And he commanded some of the mighty men in the army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and to cast them into the burning fiery furnace.
21 Тогда этих мужчин, в их накидках, шароварах и головных повязках — во всей их одежде, связали и бросили в огненную печь.	21 Then the mighty men bound them in their trousers, their undergarments, their robes, and their hats, and cast them into the fiery furnace.
22 По строгому приказу царя печь была так раскалена, что языки пламени убили воинов, поднявших Шадраха, Мешаха и Аведнего,	22 Because the king's command was hasty and the furnace was exceedingly hot, the flames of the fire killed those who had accused Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.
23 а те трое — Шадрах, Мешах и Аведнего — упали, крепко связанные, в огненную печь.	23 But the three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace. (And they rose up and walked bound in the midst of the flame, praising God and blessing the LORD.)
24 Тогда царь Навуходоносор в изумлении вскочил и спросил советников: — Не троих ли мы связали и бросили в печь? Они ответили: — Истинно так, о царь.	24 Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was alarmed and rose up in a great fear, and spoke and said to his princes, Did we not cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said to the king, True, O king.
25 Он сказал: — Но я вижу, как в огне ходят четверо, несвязанные и невредимые, и четвертый похож на сына богов!	25 The king answered and said, Behold I see men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they are not hurt; and the appearance of the fourth is like that of the Son of God.
26 Навуходоносор подошел к отверстию огненной печи и закричал: — Шадрах, Мешах и Аведнего, слуги Всевышнего Бога, выходите! Идите сюда! Шадрах, Мешах и Аведнего вышли из огня,	26 Then Nebuchadnezzar the king drew near to the mouth of the burning fiery furnace, and spoke and said, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, servants of the most High God, come forth and come hither. Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, came out of the midst of the fiery furnace.
27 а сатрапы, военачальники, наместники и царские советники столпились вокруг них. Они увидели, что огонь не повредил их тела и не опалил ни одного волоса у них на головах; их одежды не обгорели, от них даже не пахло горелым.	27 And all the people, generals of the armies, governors, lords, and the great men of the king, being gathered together, saw these men upon whose bodies the fire had no power nor was the hair of their head singed neither were their trousers burned nor had the smell of fire passed on them.
28 И Навуходоносор сказал: — Хвала Богу Шадраха, Мешаха и Аведнего, Который послал Своего ангела и спас Своих слуг! Они верили Ему и нарушили царское повеление, и были готовы скорее проститься с жизнью, чем служить и поклоняться другому богу, кроме своего Бога.	28 Then Nebuchadnezzar spoke and said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who has sent his angel and delivered his servants that trusted in him, and have rejected the king's word and offered their bodies that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God.
29 Поэтому я повелеваю, чтобы людей всякого народа, племени и языка, которые оскорбят Бога Шадраха, Мешаха и Аведнего, разрубили на куски, а дома их превратили в груды развалин, потому что нет другого бога, который мог бы так спасать.	29 Therefore I make this decree: Every people, nation, and language which speaks blasphemy against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be plundered, because there is no other God that can deliver in this manner.
