Глава 43

1 Когда совершенно пересказал Иеремия всему народу все слова Иеговы, Бога их, все те слова, с которыми Иегова, Бог их, прислал его к ним;

2 Тогда сказал Азария, сын Гошаиин, и Иоханан, сын Кареев, и все упрямые люди сказали Иеремии: неправду ты говорить, не посылал тебя Иегова, Бог наш, сказать: `не ходите в Египет, чтоб побыть там`;

3 А Варух, сын Нериин, наущает тебя против нас, чтоб отдать нас в руки халдеев, дабы они умертвили нас, или переселили нас в Вавилон.

4 И не послушал Иоханан, сын Кареев, и все военачальники, и весь народ гласа Иеговы в том, чтобы остаться в земле иудейской.

5 И взял Иоханан, сын Кареев, и все военачальники, всех оставшихся иудеев, которые от всех народов, куда они прежде разбежались, возвратились, чтоб жить в земле иудейской,

6 Мужей, и жен, и детей, и царских дочерей, и всех тех, которых Невузарадан, начальник телохранителей, оставил с Гедалиею, сыном Ахикама, сына Шафанова, и Иеремию пророка, и Варуха, сына Нериина;

7 И пошли в землю египетскую: ибо не слушали гласа Иеговы, и пришли к Тафнису.

8 И было слово Иеговы к Иеремии в Тафнисе, и сказано:

9 Возьми в руку свою камни великие, и скрой их в глине на кирпичном дворе, который у дверей дома Фараонова в Тафнисе, пред глазами иудеев,

10 И скажи им: так говорит Иегова воинств, Бог Израилев: вот Я пошлю, и возьму Невухаднецара, царя вавилонского, раба Моего, и поставлю ему престол над сими камнями, скрытыми Мною; и раскинет он над ними шатер свой;

11 И придет, и поразит землю египетскую; кто на смерть, на смерть; и кто в плен, в плен; и кто под меч, под меч.

12 И разожгу огонь в домах богов египетских; и он сожжет их, и пленит их, и закутается в землю египетскую, как пастух закутает себя в одежду свою, и пойдет оттуда спокойно.

13 И сокрушит столпы в доме солнца, что в земле египетской, и домы богов египетских сожжет огнем.

2 Then spoke559 Azariah5838 the son1121 of Hoshaiah,1955 and Johanan3110 the son1121 of Kareah,7143 and all3605 the proud2086 men,582 saying559 to Jeremiah,3414 You speak1696 falsely:8267 the LORD3068 our God430 has not sent7971 you to say,559 Go935 not into Egypt4714 to sojourn1481 there:8033

3 But Baruch1263 the son1121 of Neriah5374 sets5496 you on against us, for to deliver5414 us into the hand3027 of the Chaldeans,3778 that they might put us to death,4191 and carry1540 us away captives1540 into Babylon.894

4 So Johanan3110 the son1121 of Kareah,7143 and all3605 the captains8269 of the forces,2428 and all3605 the people,5971 obeyed8085 not the voice6963 of the LORD,3068 to dwell3427 in the land776 of Judah.3063

5 But Johanan3110 the son1121 of Kareah,7143 and all3605 the captains8269 of the forces,2428 took3947 all3605 the remnant7611 of Judah,3063 that were returned7725 from all3605 nations,1471 where834 8033 they had been driven,5080 to dwell1481 in the land776 of Judah;3063

6 Even853 men,1397 and women,802 and children,2945 and the king's4428 daughters,1323 and every3605 person5315 that Nebuzaradan5018 the captain7227 of the guard2876 had left5117 with Gedaliah1436 the son1121 of Ahikam296 the son1121 of Shaphan,8227 and Jeremiah3414 the prophet,5030 and Baruch1263 the son1121 of Neriah.5374

7 So they came935 into the land776 of Egypt:4714 for they obeyed8085 not the voice6963 of the LORD:3068 thus came935 they even to Tahpanhes.8471

8 Then came1961 the word1697 of the LORD3068 to Jeremiah3414 in Tahpanhes,8471 saying,559

9 Take3947 great1419 stones68 in your hand,3027 and hide2934 them in the clay4423 in the brick kiln,4404 which834 is at the entry6607 of Pharaoh's6547 house1004 in Tahpanhes,8471 in the sight5869 of the men582 of Judah;3064

10 And say559 to them, Thus3541 said559 the LORD3068 of hosts,6635 the God430 of Israel;3478 Behold,2005 I will send7971 and take3947 Nebuchadrezzar5019 the king4428 of Babylon,894 my servant,5650 and will set7760 his throne3678 on these428 stones68 that I have hid;2934 and he shall spread5186 his royal8237 pavilion8237 over5921 them.

11 And when he comes,935 he shall smite5221 the land776 of Egypt,4714 and deliver such as are for death4194 to death;4194 and such as are for captivity7628 to captivity;7628 and such as are for the sword2719 to the sword.2719

12 And I will kindle3341 a fire784 in the houses1004 of the gods430 of Egypt;4714 and he shall burn8313 them, and carry7617 them away captives:7617 and he shall array5844 himself with the land776 of Egypt,4714 as a shepherd7462 puts5844 on his garment;899 and he shall go3318 forth3318 from there8033 in peace.7965

13 He shall break7665 also the images4676 of Bethshemesh,1053 that is in the land776 of Egypt;4714 and the houses1004 of the gods430 of the Egyptians4714 shall he burn8313 with fire.784

3 А Варух, сын Нериин, наущает тебя против нас, чтоб отдать нас в руки халдеев, дабы они умертвили нас, или переселили нас в Вавилон.

3 But Baruch1263 the son1121 of Neriah5374 sets5496 you on against us, for to deliver5414 us into the hand3027 of the Chaldeans,3778 that they might put us to death,4191 and carry1540 us away captives1540 into Babylon.894

4 И не послушал Иоханан, сын Кареев, и все военачальники, и весь народ гласа Иеговы в том, чтобы остаться в земле иудейской.

5 И взял Иоханан, сын Кареев, и все военачальники, всех оставшихся иудеев, которые от всех народов, куда они прежде разбежались, возвратились, чтоб жить в земле иудейской,

11 И придет, и поразит землю египетскую; кто на смерть, на смерть; и кто в плен, в плен; и кто под меч, под меч.

11 And when he comes,935 he shall smite5221 the land776 of Egypt,4714 and deliver such as are for death4194 to death;4194 and such as are for captivity7628 to captivity;7628 and such as are for the sword2719 to the sword.2719

12 И разожгу огонь в домах богов египетских; и он сожжет их, и пленит их, и закутается в землю египетскую, как пастух закутает себя в одежду свою, и пойдет оттуда спокойно.

12 And I will kindle3341 a fire784 in the houses1004 of the gods430 of Egypt;4714 and he shall burn8313 them, and carry7617 them away captives:7617 and he shall array5844 himself with the land776 of Egypt,4714 as a shepherd7462 puts5844 on his garment;899 and he shall go3318 forth3318 from there8033 in peace.7965

13 И сокрушит столпы в доме солнца, что в земле египетской, и домы богов египетских сожжет огнем.

13 He shall break7665 also the images4676 of Bethshemesh,1053 that is in the land776 of Egypt;4714 and the houses1004 of the gods430 of the Egyptians4714 shall he burn8313 with fire.784
