Глава 7

1 Когда введет тебя Иегова, Бог твой, в ту землю, в которую ты идешь, чтоб взять ее в наследие, и изгонит от лица твоего [великие и] многочисленные народы, Хеттеев, Гергесеев, Аморреев, Хананеев, Ферезеев, Евеев и Иевусеев, семь народов, которые [более,] многочисленнее и сильнее тебя,

2 И предаст их тебе Иегова, Бог твой, и поразишь их: тогда предай их заклятию, не вступай с ними в союз и не щади их.

3 И не вступай с ними в родство, дочери твоей не отдавай за сына его, и дочери его не бери за сына твоего;

4 Ибо они отвратят сынов твоих от Меня, чтобы служить другим богам, и тогда воспламенится на вас гнев Господа, и Он скоро истребит тебя.

5 Но поступите с ними так: жертвенники их разрушьте, столпы их сокрушите, и рощи их вырубите и истуканы [богов] их сожгите огнем.

6 Ибо ты народ святый у Иеговы, Бога твоего; тебя избрал Иегова, Бог твой, чтобы ты был собственным Его народом из всех народов, которые на земле.

7 Не потому, чтобы вы были многочисленнее всех народов, принял вас Господь и избрал вас [Господь]; ибо вы малочисленнее всех народов.

8 Но потому, что любит вас Господь, и для того, чтоб сохранить клятву, которою Он клялся отцам вашим, вывел вас Господь рукою крепкою [и мышцею высокою] и освободил тебя из дома рабства, из руки Фараона, царя Египетского.

9 Знай, что Иегова, Бог твой, есть Бог, Бог верный, Который хранит завет [Свой] и милость к любящим Его и сохраняющим заповеди Его, до тысячи родов.

10 А ненавидящим Его воздает самим лично, погубляя их, Он не медлит, ненавидящему Его самому лично воздаст.

11 Итак соблюдай заповеди и постановления и законы, которые сегодня заповедаю тебе исполнять.

12 Ибо если вы будете слушать законы сии, и хранить и исполнять оные, то и Иегова, Бог твой, будет хранить тебе завет и милость, как Он клялся отцам твоим,

13 И возлюбит тебя, и благословит тебя и размножит тебя, благословит плод чрева твоего и плод земли твоей, и хлеб твой, и вино твое, и елей твой, раждающееся от волов твоих, и стада овец твоих, на той земле, которую Он клялся отцам твоим дать тебе.

14 Благословен ты будешь паче всех народов; не будет у тебя ни бесплодного, ни бесплодной, равно и в скоте твоем.

15 И отдалит от тебя Иегова, [Бог твой,] всякую немощь, и никаких лютых болезней Египетских, [которые ты видел и] которые ты знаешь, не наведет на тебя, но наведет их на всех ненавидящих тебя.

16 Истребляй все те народы, которые Иегова, Бог твой, дает тебе; да не пощадит их око твое, и не служи богам их: ибо это сеть для тебя.

17 Если скажешь в сердце твоем: народы сии многочисленнее меня; как я могу изгнать их?

18 Не бойся их, вспомни то, что сделал Иегова, Бог твой, с Фараоном и всем Египтом,

19 Те великие казни, которые видели глаза твои, [великие] знамения, чудеса и руку крепкую и мышцу высокую, коими вывел тебя Иегова, Бог твой. То же сделает Иегова, Бог твой, со всеми народами, коих ты боишься.

20 И шершней нашлет Иегова, Бог твой, на них, пока не погибнут оставшиеся и скрывшиеся от лица твоего.

21 Не страшись их: ибо Иегова, Бог твой, среди тебя, Бог великий и страшный.

22 Иегова, Бог твой, мало по малу будет изгонять от тебя народы сии; не можешь ты истребить их скоро, чтобы [земля не сделалась пуста и] не умножились во вред тебе полевые звери.

23 Но предаст их тебе Иегова, Бог твой, и приведет их в великое смятение, так что они погибнут.

24 И предаст царей их в руки твои, и ты истребишь имя их из поднебесной: не устоит никто против тебя, пока не искоренишь их.

25 Кумиры богов их сожгите огнем; не пожелай взять себе серебра или золота, которое на них, дабы это не было для тебя сетью: ибо это мерзость для Иеговы, Бога твоего.

26 И не вноси мерзости в дом свой, дабы не подпасть заклятию, как она. Отвращайся сего и гнушайся сего; ибо это заклятое.

Deuteronomy

Chapter 7

1 WHEN the LORD your God shall bring you into the land which you are entering to possess, and has destroyed many nations before you, the Hittites, the Girgasites, the Amorites, the Canaanites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites, seven nations greater and mightier than yourselves;

2 And when the LORD your God shall deliver them before you, and you shall defeat them; then you shall utterly destroy them; you shall make no covenant with them, nor show mercy to them;

3 Neither shall you make marriages with them; you shall not give your daughters to their sons, nor take their daughters for your sons,

4 That they may not turn away your sons from following me, and serve other gods; and then the anger of the LORD would kindle against you and destroy you quickly.

5 But thus shall you deal with them: you shall destroy their altars and break down their statues and cut down their ornaments and burn their graven images with fire.

6 For you are a holy people to the LORD your God; the LORD your God has chosen you to be a beloved people to himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth.

7 It was not because you were more in number than any other peoples that the LORD was delighted in you and chose you, for you were the fewest of all peoples;

8 But it was because the LORD loved you, and because he would keep the oaths which he had sworn to your fathers, that the LORD brought you out with a mighty hand, and delivered you out of the house of bondage from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt,

9 That you may know therefore that the LORD your God, he is God, the faithful God, who keeps covenant and mercy with those that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations,

10 And repays those that hate him during their lifetime; he requites them that he may destroy them; he shall not be slack to those that hate him, but he repays them during their lifetime.

11 You shall therefore keep the commandments and the statutes and the judgments which I command you this day, and do them.

12 Wherefore if you hearken to these judgments, and keep them and do them, the LORD your God shall keep with you the covenant and the mercy which he swore to your fathers;

13 And he will love you and bless you and multiply you; he will also bless the fruit of your womb and the fruit of your land, your grain and your wine and your oil, the increase of your cattle and the flocks of your sheep, in the land which he swore to your fathers to give you.

14 You shall be blessed above all peoples; there shall not be male or female barren among you or among your cattle.

15 And the LORD will take away from you all sickness; and all evil diseases of the Egyptians, which you know, he will not bring upon you; but will bring them upon your enemies.

16 And you shall consume all the peoples that the LORD your God shall deliver to you; your eye shall have no pity upon them; neither shall you serve their gods; for they are a snare to you.

17 If you shall say in your heart, These nations are greater than I; how will I be able to destroy them?

18 You shall not be afraid of them; but you shall remember what the LORD your God did to Pharaoh and to all Egypt;

19 The great trials which your eyes saw, the signs, the wonders, the mighty hand, and the outstretched arm, whereby the LORD your God brought you out; so shall the LORD your God do to all the peoples of whom you are afraid.

20 Moreover the LORD your God will send raiders among them, until they that are left and hide themselves from you, are destroyed.

21 You shall not be afraid of them, for the LORD your God is among you, a great and terrible God.

22 And the LORD your God will destroy those nations from before you little by little; you will not be able to destroy them quickly, lest the wild beasts increase upon you.

23 But the LORD your God shall deliver them to you, and shall smite them with a great destruction, until they are destroyed.

24 And he shall deliver their kings into your hands, and you shall destroy their name from under heaven; there shall no man be able to stand before you, until you have destroyed them.

25 The graven images of their gods you shall burn with fire; you shall not covet the silver or the gold that is on them, nor take it for yourselves, lest you become unclean with it; for it is an abomination before the LORD your God.

26 Neither shall you bring an abomination into your house, lest you be a cursed thing like it; but you shall utterly detest it, and you shall utterly abhor it; for it is a cursed thing.

4 Ибо они отвратят сынов твоих от Меня, чтобы служить другим богам, и тогда воспламенится на вас гнев Господа, и Он скоро истребит тебя.

4 That they may not turn away your sons from following me, and serve other gods; and then the anger of the LORD would kindle against you and destroy you quickly.

5 Но поступите с ними так: жертвенники их разрушьте, столпы их сокрушите, и рощи их вырубите и истуканы [богов] их сожгите огнем.

5 But thus shall you deal with them: you shall destroy their altars and break down their statues and cut down their ornaments and burn their graven images with fire.

6 Ибо ты народ святый у Иеговы, Бога твоего; тебя избрал Иегова, Бог твой, чтобы ты был собственным Его народом из всех народов, которые на земле.

6 For you are a holy people to the LORD your God; the LORD your God has chosen you to be a beloved people to himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth.

7 Не потому, чтобы вы были многочисленнее всех народов, принял вас Господь и избрал вас [Господь]; ибо вы малочисленнее всех народов.

7 It was not because you were more in number than any other peoples that the LORD was delighted in you and chose you, for you were the fewest of all peoples;

8 Но потому, что любит вас Господь, и для того, чтоб сохранить клятву, которою Он клялся отцам вашим, вывел вас Господь рукою крепкою [и мышцею высокою] и освободил тебя из дома рабства, из руки Фараона, царя Египетского.

8 But it was because the LORD loved you, and because he would keep the oaths which he had sworn to your fathers, that the LORD brought you out with a mighty hand, and delivered you out of the house of bondage from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt,

9 Знай, что Иегова, Бог твой, есть Бог, Бог верный, Который хранит завет [Свой] и милость к любящим Его и сохраняющим заповеди Его, до тысячи родов.

9 That you may know therefore that the LORD your God, he is God, the faithful God, who keeps covenant and mercy with those that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations,

10 А ненавидящим Его воздает самим лично, погубляя их, Он не медлит, ненавидящему Его самому лично воздаст.

10 And repays those that hate him during their lifetime; he requites them that he may destroy them; he shall not be slack to those that hate him, but he repays them during their lifetime.

11 Итак соблюдай заповеди и постановления и законы, которые сегодня заповедаю тебе исполнять.

11 You shall therefore keep the commandments and the statutes and the judgments which I command you this day, and do them.

12 Ибо если вы будете слушать законы сии, и хранить и исполнять оные, то и Иегова, Бог твой, будет хранить тебе завет и милость, как Он клялся отцам твоим,

12 Wherefore if you hearken to these judgments, and keep them and do them, the LORD your God shall keep with you the covenant and the mercy which he swore to your fathers;

13 И возлюбит тебя, и благословит тебя и размножит тебя, благословит плод чрева твоего и плод земли твоей, и хлеб твой, и вино твое, и елей твой, раждающееся от волов твоих, и стада овец твоих, на той земле, которую Он клялся отцам твоим дать тебе.

13 And he will love you and bless you and multiply you; he will also bless the fruit of your womb and the fruit of your land, your grain and your wine and your oil, the increase of your cattle and the flocks of your sheep, in the land which he swore to your fathers to give you.

14 Благословен ты будешь паче всех народов; не будет у тебя ни бесплодного, ни бесплодной, равно и в скоте твоем.

14 You shall be blessed above all peoples; there shall not be male or female barren among you or among your cattle.

15 И отдалит от тебя Иегова, [Бог твой,] всякую немощь, и никаких лютых болезней Египетских, [которые ты видел и] которые ты знаешь, не наведет на тебя, но наведет их на всех ненавидящих тебя.

15 And the LORD will take away from you all sickness; and all evil diseases of the Egyptians, which you know, he will not bring upon you; but will bring them upon your enemies.

16 Истребляй все те народы, которые Иегова, Бог твой, дает тебе; да не пощадит их око твое, и не служи богам их: ибо это сеть для тебя.

16 And you shall consume all the peoples that the LORD your God shall deliver to you; your eye shall have no pity upon them; neither shall you serve their gods; for they are a snare to you.

17 Если скажешь в сердце твоем: народы сии многочисленнее меня; как я могу изгнать их?

17 If you shall say in your heart, These nations are greater than I; how will I be able to destroy them?

18 Не бойся их, вспомни то, что сделал Иегова, Бог твой, с Фараоном и всем Египтом,

18 You shall not be afraid of them; but you shall remember what the LORD your God did to Pharaoh and to all Egypt;

19 Те великие казни, которые видели глаза твои, [великие] знамения, чудеса и руку крепкую и мышцу высокую, коими вывел тебя Иегова, Бог твой. То же сделает Иегова, Бог твой, со всеми народами, коих ты боишься.

19 The great trials which your eyes saw, the signs, the wonders, the mighty hand, and the outstretched arm, whereby the LORD your God brought you out; so shall the LORD your God do to all the peoples of whom you are afraid.

20 И шершней нашлет Иегова, Бог твой, на них, пока не погибнут оставшиеся и скрывшиеся от лица твоего.

20 Moreover the LORD your God will send raiders among them, until they that are left and hide themselves from you, are destroyed.

21 Не страшись их: ибо Иегова, Бог твой, среди тебя, Бог великий и страшный.

21 You shall not be afraid of them, for the LORD your God is among you, a great and terrible God.

22 Иегова, Бог твой, мало по малу будет изгонять от тебя народы сии; не можешь ты истребить их скоро, чтобы [земля не сделалась пуста и] не умножились во вред тебе полевые звери.

22 And the LORD your God will destroy those nations from before you little by little; you will not be able to destroy them quickly, lest the wild beasts increase upon you.

23 Но предаст их тебе Иегова, Бог твой, и приведет их в великое смятение, так что они погибнут.

23 But the LORD your God shall deliver them to you, and shall smite them with a great destruction, until they are destroyed.

24 И предаст царей их в руки твои, и ты истребишь имя их из поднебесной: не устоит никто против тебя, пока не искоренишь их.

24 And he shall deliver their kings into your hands, and you shall destroy their name from under heaven; there shall no man be able to stand before you, until you have destroyed them.
