1 Приближался же праздник Опресноков, называемый Пасхою.

2 И искали первосвященники и книжники, как бы убить Его, ибо они боялись народа.

3 И вошел сатана в Иуду, называемого Искариотом, одного из числа Двенадцати;

4 и он пошел совещаться с первосвященниками и начальниками стражи, как бы предать Его им.

5 И они обрадовались и согласились дать ему денег.

6 И он обещал и искал случая предать им Его не при народе.

7 Настал же день Опресноков, когда надлежало закалать пасхального агнца;

8 и Он послал Петра и Иоанна, сказав: пойдите, приготовьте нам пасху, чтобы нам вкусить ее.

9 Они же сказали Ему: где велишь нам приготовить?

10 И Он сказал им: вот, когда будете входить в город, встретится вам человек с кувшином воды; последуйте за ним в дом, куда он войдет;

11 и скажете хозяину дома: «говорит тебе Учитель: где покой, в котором Я вкусил бы пасху с учениками Моими?»

12 И он вам покажет горницу большую, убранную; там приготовьте.

13 Они пошли и нашли, как Он указал им, и приготовили пасху.

14 И когда настал час, Он возлег, и апостолы с Ним.

15 И Он сказал им: великим желанием возжелал Я вкусить эту пасху вместе с вами прежде Моего страдания:

16 ибо, говорю вам, не буду вкушать ее, доколе не исполнится она в Царстве Божием.

17 И взяв чашу, возблагодарив, сказал: возьмите ее и разделите между собою,

18 ибо говорю вам, что не буду пить отныне от плода лозы виноградной, доколе Царство Божие не придет.

19 И взяв хлеб, возблагодарив, преломил и дал им, говоря: это есть тело Мое, за вас отдаваемое. Делайте это в воспоминание о Мне.

20 Также и чашу после вечери, говоря: эта чаша есть новый завет в крови Моей, за вас изливаемой.

21 Но вот рука предающего Меня со Мною за столом,

22 ибо Сын Человеческий идет по предназначению, но горе человеку тому, чрез которого Он предается.

23 И они начали спрашивать друг друга: кто же из них сделает это?

24 Возник и спор между ними, кто из них должен считаться большим.

25 Он же сказал им: цари народов господствуют над ними, и имеющие власть над ними называются «Благодетелями».

26 А вы не так: но больший между вами да будет как младший, и начальствующий как служащий.

27 Ибо кто больше: возлежащий или служащий? Не возлежащий ли? А Я посреди вас — как служащий.

28 Но вы те, которые пребыли со Мною в испытаниях Моих;

29 и Я завещаю вам, как завещал Мне Отец Мой, Царство,

30 чтобы вы ели и пили за трапезою Моею в Царстве Моем. И сядете вы на престолах и будете судить двенадцать колен Израилевых.

31 И сказал Господь: Симон, Симон, вот, сатана добился того, чтобы просеять вас, как пшеницу:

32 но Я молился о тебе, чтобы не оскудела вера твоя, и ты некогда, обратившись, утверди братьев твоих.

33 Он же сказал Ему: Господи, с Тобою я готов и в тюрьму и на смерть идти.

34 Но Он сказал: говорю тебе, Петр: не пропоет сегодня петух, как ты трижды отречешься, что не знаешь Меня.

35 И сказал им: когда Я послал вас без мешка и сумы и обуви, имели ли вы в чем недостаток? Они сказали: ни в чем.

36 И Он сказал им: но теперь, у кого есть мешок, пусть возьмет; также и суму; и у кого нет, пусть продаст одежду свою и купит меч;

37 ибо говорю вам: нужно, чтобы совершилось на Мне это слово Писания: «И к беззаконным причтен». Ибо и то, что о Мне, приходит к концу.

38 Они же сказали: Господи, вот здесь два меча. И Он сказал им: довольно.

39 И выйдя, пошел, по обыкновению, на гору Масличную; за Ним последовали и ученики.

40 И придя на место, Он сказал им: молитесь, чтобы не впасть в искушение.

41 А Сам отошел от них на расстояние брошенного камня; и преклонив колени, молился,

42 говоря: Отче, если хочешь, пронеси эту чашу мимо Меня; впрочем, не Моя воля, но Твоя да будет.

43 И явился Ему ангел с неба, укрепляя Его.

44 И впав в томление, усиленнее молился; и сделался пот Его, как капли крови, падающие на землю.

45 И встав от молитвы, придя к ученикам, нашел их спящими от печали.

46 И сказал им: что вы спите? Встаньте и молитесь, чтобы не впасть вам в искушение.

47 Пока Он еще говорил, вот толпа, и тот, кого звали Иуда, один из Двенадцати, шел впереди их. И он приблизился к Иисусу, чтобы поцеловать Его.

48 Иисус же сказал ему: Иуда, поцелуем ли предаешь ты Сына Человеческого?

49 Окружавшие Его, увидев, что будет, сказали: Господи, что, если мы ударим мечом?

50 И один из них ударил первосвященникова раба и отсек ему правое ухо.

51 Иисус же сказал в ответ: оставьте, довольно! И коснувшись уха, исцелил раба.

52 И сказал Иисус пришедшим на Него первосвященникам и начальникам храмовой стражи и старейшинам: как на разбойника вышли вы с мечами и кольями.

53 Каждый день бывал Я с вами в храме, и вы не подняли на Меня рук; но этот час — ваш, и власть тьмы.

54 Взяв Его, повели и ввели в дом первосвященника. Петр же следовал издали.

55 Когда развели огонь среди двора и сели вместе, сидел и Петр между ними.

56 И одна служанка, увидев его, сидящего у огня, и всмотревшись в него, сказала: и этот был с Ним.

57 Но он отрекся и сказал: я не знаю Его, женщина.

58 И немного спустя другой, увидев его, сказал: и ты из них. Но Петр сказал: человек, я не из них.

59 И около часа спустя кто-то другой начал настойчиво утверждать: поистине, и этот был с Ним; он, ведь, и Галилеянин.

60 Но Петр сказал: человек, я не знаю, что ты говоришь. И тотчас, пока он еще говорил, пропел петух.

61 И обернувшись, Господь взглянул на Петра. И вспомнил Петр слово Господне, как Он сказал ему: сегодня, прежде чем пропоет петух, ты отречешься от Меня трижды.

62 И выйдя вон, плакал горько.

63 А люди, державшие Иисуса, ругались над Ним и били Его;

64 и закрыв лицо Его, спрашивали: прореки, кто ударил Тебя?

65 И много иных хулений произносили на Него.

66 И когда настал день, собрался совет старейшин народа: и первосвященники, и книжники; и привели Его в свой синедрион.

67 И сказали: если Ты Христос, скажи нам. Он же сказал им: если Я вам скажу, вы не поверите;

68 а если спрошу, вы не ответите.

69 Отныне Сын Человеческий будет восседать по правую сторону силы Божией.

70 И сказали все: итак, Ты — Сын Божий? А Он им сказал: вы говорите, что Я.

71 Они же сказали: какая нам еще нужда в свидетельстве? Ибо мы сами слышали из уст Его.

Chapter 22

1 NOW the feast of unleavened bread, which is called the passover, was at hand.

2 And the high priests and the scribes sought how to kill him; but they were afraid of the people.

3 But Satan had taken possession of Judas who is called of Iscariot, who was of the number of the twelve.

4 So he went away, and spoke with the high priests and the scribes and officers of the temple, about delivering him to them.

5 And they were glad and promised to give him money.

6 And he agreed with them, and sought an opportunity to deliver him to them in the absence of the people.

7 Then the day of unleavened bread came, on which it was the custom to kill the passover lamb.

8 So Jesus sent Peter and John, and said to them, Go and prepare the passover for us to eat.

9 They said to him, Where do you wish us to prepare?

10 He said to them, Behold, when you enter the city, you will meet a man carrying a skin full of water; follow him. And wherever he enters,

11 Say to the master of the house, Our Teacher says, Where is the guest room, where I may eat the passover with my disciples?

12 And behold, he will show you an upper room, large and furnished; there make ready.

13 And they went and found just as he had said to them; and they prepared the passover.

14 And when the time came, Jesus came and sat down, and the twelve apostles with him.

15 And he said to them, I have desired with desire to eat this passover with you before I suffer;

16 For I say to you, that henceforth, I will not eat it, until it is fulfilled in the kingdom of God.

17 And he took the cup and gave thanks and said, Take this, and divide it among yourselves.

18 For I say to you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes.

19 And he took bread and gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them and said, This is my body, which is given for your sake; this do in remembrance of me.

20 And likewise also the cup, after they had eaten the supper, he said, This is the cup of the new covenant in my blood, which is shed for you.

21 But behold, the hand of him who is to betray me is on the table.

22 And the Son of man will go, just as he has been destined; but woe to the man by whose hand he will be betrayed!

23 And they began to enquire among themselves, which one of them was to do this act.

24 There was also a dispute among them, as to who is the greatest among them.

25 Jesus said to them, The kings of the Gentiles are also their owners; and those who rule over them are called benefactors.

26 But not so with you; but he who is great among you, let him be the least, and he who is a leader be like a minister.

27 For who is greater, he who sits down or he who serves? Is it not he who sits down? but I am among you as one who serves.

28 You are those who have remained with me, throughout my trials.

29 And I promise you, just as my Father has promised me, a kingdom,

30 That you may eat and drink at the table in my kingdom; and you will sit on chairs, and judge the twelve tribes of Israel.

31 And Jesus said to Simon, Simon, behold Satan wants to sift all of you as wheat;

32 But I have made supplication for you that your faith may not weaken; and even you in time will repent, and strengthen your brethren.

33 Simon said to him, My Lord, I am ready with you, even for the prison and for death.

34 Jesus said to him, I say to you, Simon, the cock will not crow today, until you have denied three times that you know me.

35 And he said to them, When I sent you out without purses, and without bags, and shoes, did you lack anything? They said to him, Not a thing.

36 He said to them, From now on he who has purses, let him take them, and the bag likewise; and he who has no sword, let him sell his robe and buy for himself a sword.

37 For I say to you, that this which is written must be fulfilled in me, He will be numbered among the wicked; for all the things concerning me will be fulfilled.

38 And they said to him, Our Lord, behold here are two swords. He said to them, That is enough.

39 And he went out and went away, as it was his custom, to the Mount of the Home of Olives; and his disciples also followed him.

40 And when he arrived at a place, he said to them, Pray that you may not enter into temptation.

41 And he separated from them, about the distance of a stone's throw, and he kneeled down, and prayed,

42 Saying, O Father, if you will, let this cup pass from me; but not as I will, but your will be done.

43 And there appeared to him an angel from heaven, to strengthen him.

44 And he was in fear, and prayed earnestly; and his sweat became like drops of blood; and he fell down upon the ground.

45 Then he rose up from his prayer, and came to his disciples, and found them sleeping because of distress.

46 And he said to them, Why do you sleep? rise and pray that you may not enter into temptation.

47 While he was still speaking, behold, a multitude, and he who is called Judas, one of the twelve, coming before them; and he drew near to Jesus and kissed him. For this was the sign he had given them, He whom I kiss, it is he.

48 Jesus said to him, Judas, do you betray the Son of man with a kiss?

49 When those who were with him saw what happened, they said to him, Our Lord, shall we smite them with swords?

50 And one of them struck the servant of the high priest, and cut off his right ear.

51 But Jesus answered and said, It is enough for the present. And he touched the ear of him who was wounded, and healed it.

52 And Jesus said to the high priests and the elders and the officers of the temple, who had come against him, Have you come out against me to arrest me with swords and staves, as if you were against a bandit?

53 I was with you every day in the temple, and you did not even point your hands at me; but this is your turn, and the power of darkness.

54 And they arrested him, and brought him to the house of the high priest. And Simon followed him afar off.

55 And they kindled a fire in the midst of the courtyard, and they sat around it; and Simon also sat among them.

56 And a young woman saw him sitting by the fire, and she looked at him and said, This man also was with him.

57 But he denied, and said, Woman, I do not know him.

58 And after a little while, another saw him, and said to him, You also are one of them. But Peter said, I am not.

59 And after an hour, another one argued and said, Truly, this man also was with him; for he is also a Galilean.

60 Peter said, Man, I do not know what you are saying. And immediately while he was still speaking, the cock crew.

61 And Jesus turned and looked at Peter. And Simon remembered the word of our Lord, that he said to him, Before the cock crows you will deny me three times.

62 And Simon went outside and wept bitterly.

63 And the men who held Jesus mocked him,

64 And they covered his head, and smote him on his face, saying, Prophesy, who has struck you.

65 And many other things they blasphemed and said against him.

66 As soon as it was daybreak, the elders and the high priests and the scribes gathered together, and brought him up to their council chamber.

67 And they said to him, If you are the Christ, tell us. He said to them, If I tell you, you will not believe me.

68 And if I ask you, you will not answer me nor release me.

69 From henceforth the Son of man will sit at the right hand of the power of God.

70 And they all said, Are you then the Son of God? Jesus said to them, You say that I am.

71 And they said, Why then do we need witnesses? for we have heard it from his own mouth.

5 И они обрадовались и согласились дать ему денег.

5 And they were glad and promised to give him money.

6 И он обещал и искал случая предать им Его не при народе.

6 And he agreed with them, and sought an opportunity to deliver him to them in the absence of the people.

7 Настал же день Опресноков, когда надлежало закалать пасхального агнца;

7 Then the day of unleavened bread came, on which it was the custom to kill the passover lamb.

8 и Он послал Петра и Иоанна, сказав: пойдите, приготовьте нам пасху, чтобы нам вкусить ее.

8 So Jesus sent Peter and John, and said to them, Go and prepare the passover for us to eat.

9 Они же сказали Ему: где велишь нам приготовить?

9 They said to him, Where do you wish us to prepare?

10 И Он сказал им: вот, когда будете входить в город, встретится вам человек с кувшином воды; последуйте за ним в дом, куда он войдет;

10 He said to them, Behold, when you enter the city, you will meet a man carrying a skin full of water; follow him. And wherever he enters,

11 и скажете хозяину дома: «говорит тебе Учитель: где покой, в котором Я вкусил бы пасху с учениками Моими?»

14 And when the time came, Jesus came and sat down, and the twelve apostles with him.

15 И Он сказал им: великим желанием возжелал Я вкусить эту пасху вместе с вами прежде Моего страдания:

15 And he said to them, I have desired with desire to eat this passover with you before I suffer;

16 ибо, говорю вам, не буду вкушать ее, доколе не исполнится она в Царстве Божием.

16 For I say to you, that henceforth, I will not eat it, until it is fulfilled in the kingdom of God.

17 И взяв чашу, возблагодарив, сказал: возьмите ее и разделите между собою,

17 And he took the cup and gave thanks and said, Take this, and divide it among yourselves.

18 ибо говорю вам, что не буду пить отныне от плода лозы виноградной, доколе Царство Божие не придет.

18 For I say to you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes.

19 И взяв хлеб, возблагодарив, преломил и дал им, говоря: это есть тело Мое, за вас отдаваемое. Делайте это в воспоминание о Мне.

19 And he took bread and gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them and said, This is my body, which is given for your sake; this do in remembrance of me.

20 Также и чашу после вечери, говоря: эта чаша есть новый завет в крови Моей, за вас изливаемой.

20 And likewise also the cup, after they had eaten the supper, he said, This is the cup of the new covenant in my blood, which is shed for you.

21 Но вот рука предающего Меня со Мною за столом,

21 But behold, the hand of him who is to betray me is on the table.

22 ибо Сын Человеческий идет по предназначению, но горе человеку тому, чрез которого Он предается.

22 And the Son of man will go, just as he has been destined; but woe to the man by whose hand he will be betrayed!

23 И они начали спрашивать друг друга: кто же из них сделает это?

23 And they began to enquire among themselves, which one of them was to do this act.

24 Возник и спор между ними, кто из них должен считаться большим.

24 There was also a dispute among them, as to who is the greatest among them.

25 Он же сказал им: цари народов господствуют над ними, и имеющие власть над ними называются «Благодетелями».

25 Jesus said to them, The kings of the Gentiles are also their owners; and those who rule over them are called benefactors.

26 А вы не так: но больший между вами да будет как младший, и начальствующий как служащий.

26 But not so with you; but he who is great among you, let him be the least, and he who is a leader be like a minister.

27 Ибо кто больше: возлежащий или служащий? Не возлежащий ли? А Я посреди вас — как служащий.

27 For who is greater, he who sits down or he who serves? Is it not he who sits down? but I am among you as one who serves.

28 Но вы те, которые пребыли со Мною в испытаниях Моих;

28 You are those who have remained with me, throughout my trials.

29 и Я завещаю вам, как завещал Мне Отец Мой, Царство,

29 And I promise you, just as my Father has promised me, a kingdom,

30 чтобы вы ели и пили за трапезою Моею в Царстве Моем. И сядете вы на престолах и будете судить двенадцать колен Израилевых.

30 That you may eat and drink at the table in my kingdom; and you will sit on chairs, and judge the twelve tribes of Israel.

31 И сказал Господь: Симон, Симон, вот, сатана добился того, чтобы просеять вас, как пшеницу:

31 And Jesus said to Simon, Simon, behold Satan wants to sift all of you as wheat;

32 но Я молился о тебе, чтобы не оскудела вера твоя, и ты некогда, обратившись, утверди братьев твоих.

33 Simon said to him, My Lord, I am ready with you, even for the prison and for death.

34 Но Он сказал: говорю тебе, Петр: не пропоет сегодня петух, как ты трижды отречешься, что не знаешь Меня.

34 Jesus said to him, I say to you, Simon, the cock will not crow today, until you have denied three times that you know me.

35 И сказал им: когда Я послал вас без мешка и сумы и обуви, имели ли вы в чем недостаток? Они сказали: ни в чем.

35 And he said to them, When I sent you out without purses, and without bags, and shoes, did you lack anything? They said to him, Not a thing.

36 И Он сказал им: но теперь, у кого есть мешок, пусть возьмет; также и суму; и у кого нет, пусть продаст одежду свою и купит меч;

47 While he was still speaking, behold, a multitude, and he who is called Judas, one of the twelve, coming before them; and he drew near to Jesus and kissed him. For this was the sign he had given them, He whom I kiss, it is he.

48 Иисус же сказал ему: Иуда, поцелуем ли предаешь ты Сына Человеческого?

48 Jesus said to him, Judas, do you betray the Son of man with a kiss?

49 Окружавшие Его, увидев, что будет, сказали: Господи, что, если мы ударим мечом?

49 When those who were with him saw what happened, they said to him, Our Lord, shall we smite them with swords?

50 И один из них ударил первосвященникова раба и отсек ему правое ухо.

50 And one of them struck the servant of the high priest, and cut off his right ear.

51 Иисус же сказал в ответ: оставьте, довольно! И коснувшись уха, исцелил раба.

51 But Jesus answered and said, It is enough for the present. And he touched the ear of him who was wounded, and healed it.

52 И сказал Иисус пришедшим на Него первосвященникам и начальникам храмовой стражи и старейшинам: как на разбойника вышли вы с мечами и кольями.

57 But he denied, and said, Woman, I do not know him.

58 And after a little while, another saw him, and said to him, You also are one of them. But Peter said, I am not.

59 И около часа спустя кто-то другой начал настойчиво утверждать: поистине, и этот был с Ним; он, ведь, и Галилеянин.

59 And after an hour, another one argued and said, Truly, this man also was with him; for he is also a Galilean.

60 Но Петр сказал: человек, я не знаю, что ты говоришь. И тотчас, пока он еще говорил, пропел петух.

60 Peter said, Man, I do not know what you are saying. And immediately while he was still speaking, the cock crew.

61 И обернувшись, Господь взглянул на Петра. И вспомнил Петр слово Господне, как Он сказал ему: сегодня, прежде чем пропоет петух, ты отречешься от Меня трижды.

61 And Jesus turned and looked at Peter. And Simon remembered the word of our Lord, that he said to him, Before the cock crows you will deny me three times.

62 И выйдя вон, плакал горько.

62 And Simon went outside and wept bitterly.

63 А люди, державшие Иисуса, ругались над Ним и били Его;

63 And the men who held Jesus mocked him,

64 и закрыв лицо Его, спрашивали: прореки, кто ударил Тебя?

64 And they covered his head, and smote him on his face, saying, Prophesy, who has struck you.

65 И много иных хулений произносили на Него.

65 And many other things they blasphemed and said against him.

66 И когда настал день, собрался совет старейшин народа: и первосвященники, и книжники; и привели Его в свой синедрион.

66 As soon as it was daybreak, the elders and the high priests and the scribes gathered together, and brought him up to their council chamber.

67 И сказали: если Ты Христос, скажи нам. Он же сказал им: если Я вам скажу, вы не поверите;

67 And they said to him, If you are the Christ, tell us. He said to them, If I tell you, you will not believe me.

68 а если спрошу, вы не ответите.

68 And if I ask you, you will not answer me nor release me.

69 Отныне Сын Человеческий будет восседать по правую сторону силы Божией.

69 From henceforth the Son of man will sit at the right hand of the power of God.

70 И сказали все: итак, Ты — Сын Божий? А Он им сказал: вы говорите, что Я.

70 And they all said, Are you then the Son of God? Jesus said to them, You say that I am.

71 Они же сказали: какая нам еще нужда в свидетельстве? Ибо мы сами слышали из уст Его.

71 And they said, Why then do we need witnesses? for we have heard it from his own mouth.
