Глава 29

1 И вот слова того письма, которое Иеремия пророк послал из Иерусалима к остатку старейшин между переселенцами, и к священникам, и к пророкам, и ко всему народу, которых Невухаднецар переселил иа Иерусалима в Вавилон,

2 После того как отправились из Иерусалима Иехония царь, и государыня, и евнухи, князья Иудеи и Иерусалима, и плотники, и кузнецы, -

3 Чрез Елеасу, сына Шафанова, и Гемарию, сына Хелкиина, которых Седекия, царь иудейский, посылал в Вавилон к Невухаднецару, царю вавилонскому. В нем сказано:

4 Так говорит Иегова воинств, Бог Израилев, всем переселенцам, которых Я переселил из Иерусалима в Вавилон:

5 Стройте домы и живите, и разводите сады и ешьте из них плоды.

6 Берите жен и рождайте сыновей и дочерей, и сыновьям своим берите жен, и дочерей своих отдавайте в замужество; пусть они рождают сыновей и дочерей, и размножайтесь там, а не умаляйтесь.

7 И желайте мира тому городу, в который Я переселил вас, и молитесь за него Иегове: ибо в мире его будет и вам мир.

8 Ибо так говорит Иегова воинств, Бог Израилев: да не обольстят вас пророки ваши, которые среди вас, и гадатели ваши, и не слушайте снов ваших, которые вам снятся.

9 Ибо ложно они пророчествуют вам именем Моим; Я их не посылал, говорит Иегова.

10 Ибо так говорит Иегова: когда исполнится Вавилону семьдесят лет, тогда Я посещу вас, и совершу над вами доброе Мое слово, касательно возвращения вашего на место сие.

11 Ибо Я знаю мысли, какие имею о вас, говорит Иегова, мысли мира, а не на зло, чтобы дать вам будущность и надежду.

12 И воззовете ко Мне, и пойдете и помолитесь Мне, и Я услышу вас.

13 И взыщете Меня и найдете, когда взыщете Меня всем сердцем вашим.

14 И буду вами найден, говорит Иегова, и возвращу плен ваш, и соберу вас из всех народов и из всех мест, по которым Я рассеял вас, говорит Иегова, и возвращу вас в то место, из которого переселил вас.

15 Ибо вы говорите: `Иегова воздвиг нам пророков и в Вавилоне`.

16 Ибо так говорит Иегова царю, сидящему на престоле Давидовом, и всему народу, живущему в городе сем, братьям вашим, которые не пошли с вами на поселение.

17 Так говорит Иегова воинств: вот, Я пошлю на них меч, голод и мор, и сделаю их такими, как отвратительные смоквы, которых есть нельзя по дурноте их.

18 И буду преследовать их мечем, голодом и мором, и выставлю их на позор всем царствам земли, в предмет проклятия, и ужаса, и посмеяния, и поругания во всех народах, куда Я прогоню их,

19 За то, что они не слушали слов Моих, говорит Иегова, которые Я посылал к ним чрез рабов Моих пророков, посылал с раннего утра, но они не слушали, говорит Иегова.

20 А вы, все переселенцы, которых Я послал из Иерусалима в Вавилон, слушайте слово Иеговы.

21 Так говорит Иегова воинств, Бог Израилев об Ахаве, сыне Колии и о Седекии, сыне Маасеи, которые именем Моим пророчествуют вам ложно: вот, Я предам их в руку Невухаднецара, царя вавилонского, и поразит их пред глазами вашими.

22 И у всех переселенцев иудейских, которые в Вавилоне будут брать с них образец проклятия, будут говорить: `да соделает тебе Иегова то же, что Седекии и Ахаву, которых царь вавилонский пек на огне`;

23 За то, что они делают гнусное у Израиля, и прелюбодействуют с женами ближних своих, и именем Моим говорят ложное слово, чего Я не поручал им, Я самовидец и свидетель, говорит Иегова.

24 И Шемаии Нехеламитянину скажи сими словами:

25 Так говорит Иегова воинств, Бог Израилев: за то, что ты посылал письма от имени своего ко всему народу, который в Иерусалиме, и к священнику Цефании, сыну Маасеину, и ко всем священникам, и писал:

26 `Иегова поставил тебя священником вместо священника Иоады, чтоб были блюстители дома Иеговы, на всякого человека неистовствующего и пророчествующего, и чтобы ты сажал его в колоду и в узилище.

27 Зачем же ты не обуздаешь Иеремию анафовского, пророчествующего у вас?

28 Ибо он и к нам в Вавилон прислал сказать: все это врачевание {ин. к вашему благу. - Ин. срок долгий}; стройте домы и живите, разводите сады и ешьте плоды из них`.

29 Когда Цефания священник прочитал это письмо вслух пророка Иеремии;

30 Тогда было слово Иеговы к Иеремии, и сказано:

31 Пошли ко всем переселенцам сказать: так говорит Иегова о Шемаии Нехеламитянине: за то, что Шемаия у вас пророчествует, тогда как Я его не посылал и обнадеживает вас ложно;

32 За то так говорит Иегова: вот, Я накажу Шемаию Нехеламитянина и племя его; не будет у него человека живущего среди народа сего, и не увидит он того добра, которое Я сделаю народу Моему, говорит Иегова; ибо он произнес возмущение против Иеговы.

Chapter 29

1 NOW these are the words of the letter which Jeremiah the prophet sent from Jerusalem to Babylon, to the rest of the elders who were in exile and to the priests and to the false prophets and to all the people whom Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon had carried captive from Jerusalem to Babylon

2 (After Jeconiah the king and the queen and the eunuchs, the princes of Judah and Jerusalem, and the craftsmen and the guard had departed from Jerusalem),

3 By the hand of Elasah the son of Shaphan, and Gemariah the son of Hilkiah, whom Zedekiah king of Judah sent to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, saying,

4 Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, to all who are carried away captives, from Jerusalem to Babylon:

5 Build houses and live in them; and plant gardens and eat the fruit of them;

6 Take wives and beget sons and daughters; and take wives for your sons and give your daughters to husbands that they may bear sons and daughters; and multiply there, and not decrease.

7 And seek the peace of the city where I have caused you to be carried away captives, and pray to the LORD for it; for in the peace thereof shall you have peace.

8 For thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: Do not let your prophets and your diviners who are among you deceive you, neither listen to your dreams which you dream.

9 For they prophesy falsely to you in my name; I have not sent them, says the LORD.

10 For thus says the LORD: After seventy years are completed at Babylon I will deliver you and perform my good word toward you in bringing you back to this country.

11 For I know the thoughts that I think towards you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a good hope at the end.

12 Then you shall call upon me and pray to me.

13 And when you shall seek me with all your heart, you shall find me, says the LORD.

14 And I will bring back your exiles, and I will gather you from all the nations and from all the lands where I have driven you, says the LORD, and I will bring you back to the place from which I caused you to be carried away captive.

15 Because you have said, The LORD has raised us up prophets in Babylon;

16 Therefore, thus says the LORD concerning the king who sits on the throne of David and concerning all the people who dwell in this city and your brethren who did not go out with you into captivity;

17 Thus says the LORD of hosts: Behold, I will send upon them the sword, famine, and pestilence, and I will make them like bad figs which are so bad that they cannot be eaten.

18 And I will pursue them with the sword, with famine, and with pestilence, and I will make them a horror to all the kingdoms of the earth, to be an astonishment, a curse, a reproach, and a hissing among all the nations where I have driven them,

19 Because they did not hearken to my words, and I sent to them all my servants the prophets, warning them in advance, but they did not listen to them, says the LORD.

20 Hear therefore the word of the LORD, all you exiles who were carried away captive from Jerusalem to Babylon;

21 Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, concerning Ahab, the son of Kolaiah, and concerning Zedekiah the son of Maasiah, who prophesy lies to you: Behold, I will deliver them into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon; and he shall slay them before your eyes;

22 And of them shall be taken up a curse by all the exiles who are in Babylon; they shall say, The LORD make you like Zedekiah and like Ahab, whom the king of Babylon roasted in the fire;

23 Because they have done wickedness in Israel and have committed adultery with their neighbors' wives and have spoken lying words in my name, which I have not commanded them; even I know and I am a witness, says the LORD.

24 And to Shemaiah the Nehelamite, you shall say,

25 Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: Because you have sent a letter in his name to all the people who are in Jerusalem and to Zephaniah the son of Maasiah the priest and to all the priests, saying,

26 The LORD has made you priest instead of Jehoiadah the priest, to be an officer in the house of the LORD over every man who acts foolishly and prophesies falsehood, to put him in prison and in the stocks.

27 Now, therefore, why have you not rebuked Jeremiah of Anathoth, who prophesies to you?

28 For he has sent to us in Babylon, saying, You shall remain there for a long time; therefore, build houses and dwell in them; and plant gardens and eat the fruit of them.

29 And Zephaniah the priest read this letter in the ears of Jeremiah the prophet.

30 Then the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah, saying,

31 Send to all of them who are in captivity, saying, Thus says the LORD concerning Shemaiah the Nehelamite: Because Shemaiah has prophesied to you the thing which I did not send him to prophesy and has caused you to trust in a lie;

32 Therefore, thus says the LORD: Behold, I will punish Shemaiah the Nehelamite and his posterity; he shall not have a man to dwell among this people; neither shall he see the good which I will do for my people, says the LORD, because he has spoken iniquity against the LORD.

1 NOW these are the words of the letter which Jeremiah the prophet sent from Jerusalem to Babylon, to the rest of the elders who were in exile and to the priests and to the false prophets and to all the people whom Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon had carried captive from Jerusalem to Babylon

2 После того как отправились из Иерусалима Иехония царь, и государыня, и евнухи, князья Иудеи и Иерусалима, и плотники, и кузнецы, -

2 (After Jeconiah the king and the queen and the eunuchs, the princes of Judah and Jerusalem, and the craftsmen and the guard had departed from Jerusalem),

3 Чрез Елеасу, сына Шафанова, и Гемарию, сына Хелкиина, которых Седекия, царь иудейский, посылал в Вавилон к Невухаднецару, царю вавилонскому. В нем сказано:

3 By the hand of Elasah the son of Shaphan, and Gemariah the son of Hilkiah, whom Zedekiah king of Judah sent to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, saying,

4 Так говорит Иегова воинств, Бог Израилев, всем переселенцам, которых Я переселил из Иерусалима в Вавилон:

4 Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, to all who are carried away captives, from Jerusalem to Babylon:

5 Стройте домы и живите, и разводите сады и ешьте из них плоды.

5 Build houses and live in them; and plant gardens and eat the fruit of them;

6 Берите жен и рождайте сыновей и дочерей, и сыновьям своим берите жен, и дочерей своих отдавайте в замужество; пусть они рождают сыновей и дочерей, и размножайтесь там, а не умаляйтесь.

6 Take wives and beget sons and daughters; and take wives for your sons and give your daughters to husbands that they may bear sons and daughters; and multiply there, and not decrease.

7 И желайте мира тому городу, в который Я переселил вас, и молитесь за него Иегове: ибо в мире его будет и вам мир.

7 And seek the peace of the city where I have caused you to be carried away captives, and pray to the LORD for it; for in the peace thereof shall you have peace.

8 Ибо так говорит Иегова воинств, Бог Израилев: да не обольстят вас пророки ваши, которые среди вас, и гадатели ваши, и не слушайте снов ваших, которые вам снятся.

8 For thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: Do not let your prophets and your diviners who are among you deceive you, neither listen to your dreams which you dream.

9 Ибо ложно они пророчествуют вам именем Моим; Я их не посылал, говорит Иегова.

9 For they prophesy falsely to you in my name; I have not sent them, says the LORD.

10 Ибо так говорит Иегова: когда исполнится Вавилону семьдесят лет, тогда Я посещу вас, и совершу над вами доброе Мое слово, касательно возвращения вашего на место сие.

10 For thus says the LORD: After seventy years are completed at Babylon I will deliver you and perform my good word toward you in bringing you back to this country.

11 Ибо Я знаю мысли, какие имею о вас, говорит Иегова, мысли мира, а не на зло, чтобы дать вам будущность и надежду.

11 For I know the thoughts that I think towards you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a good hope at the end.

12 И воззовете ко Мне, и пойдете и помолитесь Мне, и Я услышу вас.

12 Then you shall call upon me and pray to me.

13 И взыщете Меня и найдете, когда взыщете Меня всем сердцем вашим.

13 And when you shall seek me with all your heart, you shall find me, says the LORD.

14 И буду вами найден, говорит Иегова, и возвращу плен ваш, и соберу вас из всех народов и из всех мест, по которым Я рассеял вас, говорит Иегова, и возвращу вас в то место, из которого переселил вас.

14 And I will bring back your exiles, and I will gather you from all the nations and from all the lands where I have driven you, says the LORD, and I will bring you back to the place from which I caused you to be carried away captive.

15 Ибо вы говорите: `Иегова воздвиг нам пророков и в Вавилоне`.

15 Because you have said, The LORD has raised us up prophets in Babylon;

16 Ибо так говорит Иегова царю, сидящему на престоле Давидовом, и всему народу, живущему в городе сем, братьям вашим, которые не пошли с вами на поселение.

16 Therefore, thus says the LORD concerning the king who sits on the throne of David and concerning all the people who dwell in this city and your brethren who did not go out with you into captivity;

19 За то, что они не слушали слов Моих, говорит Иегова, которые Я посылал к ним чрез рабов Моих пророков, посылал с раннего утра, но они не слушали, говорит Иегова.

19 Because they did not hearken to my words, and I sent to them all my servants the prophets, warning them in advance, but they did not listen to them, says the LORD.

20 А вы, все переселенцы, которых Я послал из Иерусалима в Вавилон, слушайте слово Иеговы.

20 Hear therefore the word of the LORD, all you exiles who were carried away captive from Jerusalem to Babylon;

21 Так говорит Иегова воинств, Бог Израилев об Ахаве, сыне Колии и о Седекии, сыне Маасеи, которые именем Моим пророчествуют вам ложно: вот, Я предам их в руку Невухаднецара, царя вавилонского, и поразит их пред глазами вашими.

21 Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, concerning Ahab, the son of Kolaiah, and concerning Zedekiah the son of Maasiah, who prophesy lies to you: Behold, I will deliver them into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon; and he shall slay them before your eyes;

22 И у всех переселенцев иудейских, которые в Вавилоне будут брать с них образец проклятия, будут говорить: `да соделает тебе Иегова то же, что Седекии и Ахаву, которых царь вавилонский пек на огне`;

22 And of them shall be taken up a curse by all the exiles who are in Babylon; they shall say, The LORD make you like Zedekiah and like Ahab, whom the king of Babylon roasted in the fire;

23 За то, что они делают гнусное у Израиля, и прелюбодействуют с женами ближних своих, и именем Моим говорят ложное слово, чего Я не поручал им, Я самовидец и свидетель, говорит Иегова.

23 Because they have done wickedness in Israel and have committed adultery with their neighbors' wives and have spoken lying words in my name, which I have not commanded them; even I know and I am a witness, says the LORD.

24 И Шемаии Нехеламитянину скажи сими словами:

24 And to Shemaiah the Nehelamite, you shall say,

25 Так говорит Иегова воинств, Бог Израилев: за то, что ты посылал письма от имени своего ко всему народу, который в Иерусалиме, и к священнику Цефании, сыну Маасеину, и ко всем священникам, и писал:

25 Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: Because you have sent a letter in his name to all the people who are in Jerusalem and to Zephaniah the son of Maasiah the priest and to all the priests, saying,

26 `Иегова поставил тебя священником вместо священника Иоады, чтоб были блюстители дома Иеговы, на всякого человека неистовствующего и пророчествующего, и чтобы ты сажал его в колоду и в узилище.

26 The LORD has made you priest instead of Jehoiadah the priest, to be an officer in the house of the LORD over every man who acts foolishly and prophesies falsehood, to put him in prison and in the stocks.

27 Зачем же ты не обуздаешь Иеремию анафовского, пророчествующего у вас?

27 Now, therefore, why have you not rebuked Jeremiah of Anathoth, who prophesies to you?

28 Ибо он и к нам в Вавилон прислал сказать: все это врачевание {ин. к вашему благу. - Ин. срок долгий}; стройте домы и живите, разводите сады и ешьте плоды из них`.

28 For he has sent to us in Babylon, saying, You shall remain there for a long time; therefore, build houses and dwell in them; and plant gardens and eat the fruit of them.

29 Когда Цефания священник прочитал это письмо вслух пророка Иеремии;

29 And Zephaniah the priest read this letter in the ears of Jeremiah the prophet.

30 Тогда было слово Иеговы к Иеремии, и сказано:

30 Then the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah, saying,

31 Пошли ко всем переселенцам сказать: так говорит Иегова о Шемаии Нехеламитянине: за то, что Шемаия у вас пророчествует, тогда как Я его не посылал и обнадеживает вас ложно;

31 Send to all of them who are in captivity, saying, Thus says the LORD concerning Shemaiah the Nehelamite: Because Shemaiah has prophesied to you the thing which I did not send him to prophesy and has caused you to trust in a lie;

32 За то так говорит Иегова: вот, Я накажу Шемаию Нехеламитянина и племя его; не будет у него человека живущего среди народа сего, и не увидит он того добра, которое Я сделаю народу Моему, говорит Иегова; ибо он произнес возмущение против Иеговы.

32 Therefore, thus says the LORD: Behold, I will punish Shemaiah the Nehelamite and his posterity; he shall not have a man to dwell among this people; neither shall he see the good which I will do for my people, says the LORD, because he has spoken iniquity against the LORD.
