Глава 27

1 Не хвались завтрашним днем, потому что не знаешь, что родит день.

2 Пусть другой кто хвалит тебя, а не твои уста; пусть сторонний кто, а не твой язык.

3 Тяжел камень, и нелегок песок; но негодование глупого тяжелее того и другого.

4 Жестока ярость, и гнев - потоп, и кто устоит против ревности?

5 Открытый выговор лучше, нежели скрытая приязнь.

6 Побоям дружеским есть верная мера; а поцелуи врага преобильны.

7 Сытая душа попирает ногами сот; а голодной душе все горькое сладко.

8 Как птичка, отлетевшая от гнезда своего, так человек, удалившийся от места своего.

9 Масть и курение благовонное радуют сердце; и сладок всякому друг свой советом сердечным.

10 Своего друга и друга отца твоего не оставляй; и в случае несчастия своего не ходи в дом брата своего; лучше сосед вблизи, нежели брат вдали.

11 Будь мудр, сын мой, и обрадуй сердце мое; и тогда я найду, что отвечать упрекнувшему меня.

12 Благоразумный увидит беду, и скроется; а неопытные переходят черту, и наказываются.

13 Возьми у него платье, потому что он поручился за чужого; и за стороннего обяжи его залогом.

14 Если кто друга своего выхваляет громогласно с раннего утра, то это так будет принято от него, как бы он и ругал его.

15 Непрестанная течь в дождливый день и жена сварливая - равны;

16 Кто старается удержать ее, тот хочет удержать ветер и вопиющий запах масти в правой руке своей.

17 Железо острится о железо; и один человек острит взгляд другого.

18 Кто стережет смоковницу, тот будет есть плоды ее; и кто бережет господина своего, тот будет в чести.

19 Как в воде лицо обращено к лицу; так сердце человека к человеку.

20 Преисподняя и Аваддон ненасытимы; и глаза человеческие ненасытимы.

21 Плавильня для серебра и горнило для золота; а человека распознают смотря по действию похвалы на него.

22 Глупого хотя пестом в ступе толки вместе с зерном, глупость его не отстанет от него.

23 Прилежно распознавай лица овец твоих; прилагай к стадам сердце твое.

24 Потому что не на век богатство, и диадима ужели в род и род?

25 Открывается зелень, трава является, и собирают сено с гор.

26 Агнцы - на одежду тебе; а козлы - цена поля.

27 И довольно молока козьего в пищу тебе, в пищу дому твоему, и в поддержание жизни отроковиц твоих.
