Песнь 40

1 Дирижёру хора. Песнь Давуда.

2 Благословен тот, кто заботится о слабом: . во время беды избавит его Вечный.

3 Вечный сохранит его и сбережёт ему жизнь, счастьем одарит его на земле и не отдаст его на произвол врагов.

4 Вечный укрепит его во время болезни и поднимет его с ложа недуга.

5 Я сказал: «Вечный, помилуй меня; исцели меня – я пред Тобой согрешил».

6 Враги мои зло говорят обо мне: «Когда же умрёт он и погибнет имя его?»

7 Если приходит кто навестить меня, то ложь говорит, а в сердце своём слагает злые слухи; потом он выходит и всем их рассказывает.

8 Все враги мои шепчутся против меня, думают худшее обо мне: .

9 «Смертельный недуг его одолел; он слёг, и больше ему не встать».

10 Даже близкий друг, на которого я полагался, тот, кто ел мой хлеб, пошёл против меня.

11 Но Ты, Вечный, помилуй меня; подними меня, и я воздам им!

12 Из того я узнаю, что угоден Тебе, если не одолеет меня мой враг,

13 а меня Ты поддержишь за непорочность мою и навеки поставишь пред Собою.

14 Хвала Вечному, Богу Исраила, от века и до века! Аминь и аминь.

Psalm 40

1 I WAITED patiently for the LORD; and he turned towards me and heard my supplication.

2 He brought me up also out of a horrible pit, out of the mire of destruction, and set my feet upon a rock and established my goings.

3 And he has put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God, that many shall see it and rejoice and trust in the LORD.

4 Blessed is the man whose trust is in the name of the LORD, and who returns not to vanity; neither to lying conversation.

5 Many are thy works which thou hast done for us, O LORD our God, and thy wonderful care for us; I have declared that they are too many to be numbered; there is no one like unto thee.

6 Sacrifices and offerings thou didst not desire; but as for me, I now have understanding; burnt offering and sin offering hast thou not required.

7 Then said I, Lo, I come; in the beginning of the en_lbp_books, it is written of me,

8 I delight to do thy will, O my God; yea, thy law is within my heart.

9 I have preached thy righteousness in the great congregation; lo, I have not refrained my lips, O LORD, thou knowest.

10 I have not hid thy righteousness within my heart; I have declared thy faithfulness and thy salvation; I have not concealed thy lovingkindness and thy truth from the great congregation.

11 Withhold not thou thy tender mercies from me, O LORD; let thy lovingkindness and thy truth continually preserve me.

12 For innumerable evils have surrounded me; mine iniquities have overtaken me, so that I am not able to look up; they are more than the hairs of my head; and my heart fails me.

13 Be pleased, O LORD, to deliver me; O LORD, continue to help me.

14 Let them be ashamed and confounded who seek after my soul to destroy it; let them be driven backward and put to shame who wish me evil.

12 Из того я узнаю, что угоден Тебе, если не одолеет меня мой враг,	12 For innumerable evils have surrounded me; mine iniquities have overtaken me, so that I am not able to look up; they are more than the hairs of my head; and my heart fails me.
13 а меня Ты поддержишь за непорочность мою и навеки поставишь пред Собою.	13 Be pleased, O LORD, to deliver me; O LORD, continue to help me.
