1 Дирижёру хора. Песнь Давуда.

2 Избавь меня, Вечный, от злых людей, сохрани меня от жестоких.

3 Они замышляют зло в сердце, постоянно готовы к войне.

4 Изощряют свой язык, как змея; у них на губах яд гадюки. Пауза

5 Сохрани меня, Вечный, от рук нечестивых, огради от жестоких, желающих поколебать мои стопы.

6 Высокомерные спрятали силки для меня и петли, разложили сеть по дороге, расставили для меня западню. Пауза

7 Я сказал Вечному: «Ты – мой Бог; услышь голос моих молений, Вечный!

8 Владыка Вечный, сила моего спасения, Ты прикрыл мою голову в день сражения.

9 Вечный, не исполняй желания нечестивых, не дай успеха их замыслу, чтобы они не возгордились». Пауза

10 Пусть падёт на голову окруживших меня несчастье, которое вызвали их собственные уста.

11 Пусть падут на них горящие угли; пусть будут они повержены в огонь, в глубокую пропасть, откуда не подняться им.

12 Пусть не утвердится на земле злоязычный человек; пусть зло преследует жестоких на погибель им.

13 Я знаю, что Вечный даст правосудие бедным и заступится за нищих.

14 Поистине, праведные будут славить Твоё имя; честные будут жить в Твоём присутствии.

Psalm 139

1 O LORD, thou hast searched me and known me.

2 Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thoughts from above.

3 Thou knowest my way and my paths, and art acquainted with all my ways.

4 For if there is deception in my tongue, lo, O LORD, thou knowest it altogether.

5 From the beginning to the end, thou knowest me, O LORD, for thou hast formed and laid thy hand upon me.

6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it.

7 Whither shall I go from thy Spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?

8 If I ascend into heaven, thou art there; if I descend into Sheol, behold, thou art there also.

9 If I lift up my wings like those of an eagle, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea,

10 Even there also shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.

11 If I say, Surely the darkness shall be as light upon me; even the night shall be light before my face.

12 The darkness shall not be dark to thee; but the night shines as the day; the darkness and the light are both alike to thee.

13 For thou hast made my heart; thou hast accepted me from my mother's womb.

14 I will praise thee, because of the wonders which thou hast done; marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knows right well.
