1 В скорби своей я воззвал к Вечному, и Он ответил мне.

2 Я сказал: «Избавь меня, Вечный, от коварных лжецов!»

3 Что Всевышний даст тебе и что прибавит, коварный лжец?

4 Он накажет тебя острыми стрелами воина и горящими углями из корней дрока.

5 Горе мне, что пребываю в Мешехе и живу среди кедарских шатров.

6 Душа моя слишком долго жила с ненавидящими мир.

7 Я – мирный человек, но только заговорю – они сразу к войне.

1 ALEPH. BLESSED are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the LORD.

2 Blessed are they who keep his testimonies, and seek him with the whole heart.

3 They also do no iniquity; they walk in his ways.

4 Thou hast commanded them to keep thy precepts diligently.

5 O that my ways were directed to keep thy statutes!

6 Then shall I not be ashamed, when I have observed all thy commandments.

7 I will praise thee with uprightness of heart, when I shall have learned thy righteous judgments.
