Глава 21

1 Вот законы, которые ты должен им дать:

2 – Если купишь раба-еврея, и он прослужит у тебя шесть лет, то на седьмой год он должен стать свободным без выкупа.

3 Если он пришёл один, пусть один и освободится, а если пришёл с женой, пусть вместе с ним станет свободной и она.

4 Если господин даст ему жену, и она родит ему сыновей или дочерей, то женщина и дети будут принадлежать господину, а свободным станет только он сам.

5 Но если раб скажет: «Я люблю своего господина и жену с детьми. Я не хочу становиться свободным»,

6 то пусть господин приведёт его к судьям, . подведёт к двери или дверному косяку и проколет ему ухо шилом. После этого он останется его рабом на всю жизнь.

7 Если человек продаст дочь в рабство, то она не должна освобождаться из рабства, как рабы-мужчины.

8 Если она не угодит господину, который выбрал её себе в жёны, он должен позволить выкупить её. Он не имеет права продавать её чужеземцам, потому что обошёлся с ней нечестно.

9 Выбрав её женой для сына, пусть даст ей права дочери.

10 Если он женится на другой, пусть не лишает первую жену еды, одежды и супружеского сожительства.

11 Если он не даст ей этих трёх вещей, то она может стать свободной без выкупа.

12 – Любой, кто ударит человека и убьёт его, будет предан смерти.

13 Если он сделает это неумышленно, если Всевышний допустит этому случиться, то пусть убийца убежит, куда Я укажу. .

14 Но если человек затаит зло и убьёт другого человека намеренно, то заберите его от Моего жертвенника и предайте смерти.

15 Любой, кто ударит отца или мать, должен быть предан смерти.

16 Любой, кто украдёт человека и продаст его, или будет ещё держать его у себя, когда его схватят, должен быть предан смерти.

17 Любой, кто злословит отца или мать, должен быть предан смерти.

18 Если мужчины поссорятся, и один ударит другого камнем или кулаком, и тот не умрёт, но сляжет,

19 – тот, кто нанёс удар, не будет в ответе, если тот, кто получил увечье, поднимется и станет выходить из дома, опираясь на палку. Но он должен заплатить ему за потерянное время и за лечение.

20 Если хозяин ударит раба или рабыню палкой, и раб тотчас умрёт, то хозяин должен быть наказан.

21 Но если раб будет ещё жив через день или два, то хозяина наказывать не следует, потому что раб – его собственность.

22 Если дерущиеся мужчины ударят беременную, и она выкинет, . но другого вреда не будет, то с обидчика нужно взыскать всё, что потребует муж и позволит суд.

23 Если будет причинён вред, то берите жизнь за жизнь,

24 глаз за глаз, зуб за зуб, ногу за ногу,

25 ожог за ожог, рану за рану, ушиб за ушиб.

26 Если хозяин ударит раба или рабыню в глаз и выбьет его, то пусть отпустит их на свободу за потерянный глаз.

27 Если он выбьет рабу или рабыне зуб, то пусть отпустит их на свободу за выбитый зуб.

28 Если бык забодает мужчину или женщину до смерти, то быка нужно забить камнями, а мясо его есть нельзя. Но хозяин быка не будет в ответе.

29 Если бык был бодлив, и хозяина предупреждали, но он не смотрел за ним, и тот убил мужчину или женщину, то быка нужно забить камнями, а хозяина тоже предать смерти.

30 Впрочем, если с него потребуют выкуп, он может откупиться, заплатив столько, сколько потребуется.

31 Этот же закон действует, если бык забодает мальчика или девочку.

32 Если бык забодает раба или рабыню, то пусть хозяин заплатит их господину триста шестьдесят граммов серебра, . а быка пусть забьют камнями.

33 Если кто-то, выкопав яму или открыв её, не закроет её, и туда упадут вол или осёл,

34 то тот, кто выкопал яму, должен заплатить за потерю. Пусть он заплатит хозяину, а туша будет его.

35 Если чей-то бык изувечит чужого быка, и тот умрёт, то пусть хозяева продадут живого быка и поделят поровну и выручку, и тушу.

36 Но если было известно, что бык бодлив, а хозяин не держал его взаперти, то он должен заплатить быком за быка, а тушу пусть возьмёт себе.

Chapter 21

1 NOW these are the judgments which you shall set before them.

2 When you buy a Hebrew servant, six years he shall serve you; and in the seventh year he shall go out free from your house without price.

3 If he came in single, he shall go out single; if he were married, then his wife shall go out with him.

4 If his master has given him a wife and she has borne him sons or daughters, the wife and her children shall be his master's and he shall go out alone.

5 And if the servant shall say, I love my master, my wife, and my children; I will not go out free;

6 Then his master shall bring him to the judges; he shall also bring him to the door, or to the door post; and his master shall bore his ear through with an awl; and he shall serve him for ever.

7 And when a man sells his daughter to be a maidservant, she shall not go out free as the menservants do.

8 If her master hates her, so that he will not take her to himself as a wife, then he shall let her be redeemed; he shall have no authority to sell her to a foreign people, because he has dealt deceitfully with her.

9 And if he takes her for wife to his son, then he shall deal with her after the manner of daughters.

10 If he takes to himself another wife, he shall not diminish her food, her clothes, and her conjugal rights.

11 And if be does not these three things to her, then she shall go out free without price.

12 He who strikes a man so that he dies shall surely be put to death.

13 But if he did not lie in wait for him, but God delivered him into his hand, then I will appoint for you a place to which he may flee.

14 But if a man ventures to attack his neighbor and slay him treacherously, you shall take him even from my altar to put him to death.

15 He who strikes his father or his mother shall surely be put to death.

16 He who steals a person and sells him, or he is found in his possession, he shall surely be put to death.

17 He who curses his father or his mother shall surely be put to death.

18 And if two men quarrel, and one strikes another with a stone or with his fist, and he does not die but is put to bed from the injury:

19 If he rises again and walks in the street with his staff, then the one who struck him shall be acquitted, except that he shall pay for the loss of his time and the physician's fee.

20 And if a man strikes his servant, or his maid with a staff, and he dies under his hand, he shall surely be punished.

21 But if the victim is well after a day or two, he shall not be punished; for he is his property.

22 If two men quarrel, and strike a woman with child so that she miscarries, and yet no mischief follow; he shall surely pay a fine such as the woman's husband will lay upon him; and he shall pay as the judges determine.

23 But if any mischief follow, then you shall give life for life,

24 Eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot,

25 Burning for burning, wound for wound, slap for slap.

26 land if a man strike the eye of his servant or the eye of his maid, and injure it, he shall let him go free for his eye's sake.

27 And if he knocks out the tooth of his manservant or the tooth of his maidservant, he must let him go free for his tooth's sake.

28 If an ox gores a man or a woman that he or she die; then the ox shall be surely stoned and its meat shall not be eaten; but the owner of the ox shall be blameless.

29 But if the ox were known to be in the habit of goring in the past, and its owner has been warned, and he has not kept it in, and it kills a man or a woman; the ox shall be stoned, and its owner also shall be put to death.

30 But if a sum of money is imposed on him, then he shall give for the ransom of his life whatever they ask from him.

31 Whether the ox has gored a son or a daughter, according to this judgment it shall be done to him.

32 If the ox gores a manservant or a maidservant, the owner shall give to their master thirty shekels of silver and the ox shall be stoned.

33 And if a man shall open a wheat pit or a man shall dig a well, and not cover them, and an ox or an ass fall into it;

34 The owner of the pit shall pay money to the owner of the animal, and the dead animal shall be his.

35 And if one man's ox gores another man's ox so that it dies; then they shall sell the live ox and divide the money; and the dead ox also they shall divide.

36 But if it be known that the ox has been in the habit of goring, and his owner has not kept it in; he shall surely pay ox for ox; and the dead animal shall belong to him.

1 NOW these are the judgments which you shall set before them.

4 Если господин даст ему жену, и она родит ему сыновей или дочерей, то женщина и дети будут принадлежать господину, а свободным станет только он сам.

4 If his master has given him a wife and she has borne him sons or daughters, the wife and her children shall be his master's and he shall go out alone.

5 Но если раб скажет: «Я люблю своего господина и жену с детьми. Я не хочу становиться свободным»,

5 And if the servant shall say, I love my master, my wife, and my children; I will not go out free;

6 то пусть господин приведёт его к судьям, . подведёт к двери или дверному косяку и проколет ему ухо шилом. После этого он останется его рабом на всю жизнь.

6 Then his master shall bring him to the judges; he shall also bring him to the door, or to the door post; and his master shall bore his ear through with an awl; and he shall serve him for ever.

7 Если человек продаст дочь в рабство, то она не должна освобождаться из рабства, как рабы-мужчины.

7 And when a man sells his daughter to be a maidservant, she shall not go out free as the menservants do.

8 Если она не угодит господину, который выбрал её себе в жёны, он должен позволить выкупить её. Он не имеет права продавать её чужеземцам, потому что обошёлся с ней нечестно.

8 If her master hates her, so that he will not take her to himself as a wife, then he shall let her be redeemed; he shall have no authority to sell her to a foreign people, because he has dealt deceitfully with her.

11 Если он не даст ей этих трёх вещей, то она может стать свободной без выкупа.

11 And if be does not these three things to her, then she shall go out free without price.

12 – Любой, кто ударит человека и убьёт его, будет предан смерти.

12 He who strikes a man so that he dies shall surely be put to death.

13 Если он сделает это неумышленно, если Всевышний допустит этому случиться, то пусть убийца убежит, куда Я укажу. .

13 But if he did not lie in wait for him, but God delivered him into his hand, then I will appoint for you a place to which he may flee.

14 Но если человек затаит зло и убьёт другого человека намеренно, то заберите его от Моего жертвенника и предайте смерти.

14 But if a man ventures to attack his neighbor and slay him treacherously, you shall take him even from my altar to put him to death.

15 Любой, кто ударит отца или мать, должен быть предан смерти.

15 He who strikes his father or his mother shall surely be put to death.

16 Любой, кто украдёт человека и продаст его, или будет ещё держать его у себя, когда его схватят, должен быть предан смерти.

16 He who steals a person and sells him, or he is found in his possession, he shall surely be put to death.

17 Любой, кто злословит отца или мать, должен быть предан смерти.

17 He who curses his father or his mother shall surely be put to death.

18 Если мужчины поссорятся, и один ударит другого камнем или кулаком, и тот не умрёт, но сляжет,

18 And if two men quarrel, and one strikes another with a stone or with his fist, and he does not die but is put to bed from the injury:

19 – тот, кто нанёс удар, не будет в ответе, если тот, кто получил увечье, поднимется и станет выходить из дома, опираясь на палку. Но он должен заплатить ему за потерянное время и за лечение.

19 If he rises again and walks in the street with his staff, then the one who struck him shall be acquitted, except that he shall pay for the loss of his time and the physician's fee.

20 Если хозяин ударит раба или рабыню палкой, и раб тотчас умрёт, то хозяин должен быть наказан.

20 And if a man strikes his servant, or his maid with a staff, and he dies under his hand, he shall surely be punished.

21 Но если раб будет ещё жив через день или два, то хозяина наказывать не следует, потому что раб – его собственность.

21 But if the victim is well after a day or two, he shall not be punished; for he is his property.

22 Если дерущиеся мужчины ударят беременную, и она выкинет, . но другого вреда не будет, то с обидчика нужно взыскать всё, что потребует муж и позволит суд.

22 If two men quarrel, and strike a woman with child so that she miscarries, and yet no mischief follow; he shall surely pay a fine such as the woman's husband will lay upon him; and he shall pay as the judges determine.

23 Если будет причинён вред, то берите жизнь за жизнь,

23 But if any mischief follow, then you shall give life for life,

24 глаз за глаз, зуб за зуб, ногу за ногу,

24 Eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot,

25 ожог за ожог, рану за рану, ушиб за ушиб.

25 Burning for burning, wound for wound, slap for slap.

28 If an ox gores a man or a woman that he or she die; then the ox shall be surely stoned and its meat shall not be eaten; but the owner of the ox shall be blameless.

29 Если бык был бодлив, и хозяина предупреждали, но он не смотрел за ним, и тот убил мужчину или женщину, то быка нужно забить камнями, а хозяина тоже предать смерти.
