Глава 2

1 Сын мой! Если ты примешь слова мои, сбережешь в душе мои заповеди,

2 склонишь слух к мудрости, устремишься умом к здравомыслию,

3 если будешь призывать разумение, громким голосом взывать к здравомыслию,

4 если будешь искать его, словно серебра, стремиться к нему, словно к сокровищу,

5 то постигнешь, что есть благоговенье пред ГОСПОДОМ, и обретешь познание Бога,

6 ибо ГОСПОДЬ дарует мудрость, из уст Его — знание и здравомыслие.

7 Честным Он уготовал спасение, Он — крепкий щит для живущих непорочно.

8 Оберегает Он путь справедливых, охраняет стези всех, кто верен Ему.

9 Тогда ты познаешь праведность, справедливость и честность — каждую стезю добра изведаешь,

10 ибо мудрость войдет в твое сердце, станет знание сладостно твоей душе.

11 Рассудительность будет оберегать тебя, здравомыслие — охранять, где бы ты ни был,

12 чтобы уберечь тебя от злого пути, от людей, говорящих мерзость,

13 от тех, кто сошел с прямой стези, чтобы ходить путями тьмы,

14 от тех, кто предается злу с наслаждением, кому сладок разврат и порок,

15 чьи пути кривы, кто блуждает на стезях своих.

16 Рассудительность оградит тебя от чужой жены, от замужней с ее обольстительной речью,

17 от той, что оставила наставника юности своей и забыла клятву, данную пред Богом.

18 Дом ее ведет к смерти, и ее пути — к мертвецам.

19 Кто вошел к ней, тому не вернуться, не ступить на стезю жизни.

20 Потому ходи путями добра, стези праведников держись,

21 ибо лишь честные будут населять землю и лишь непорочные останутся на ней.

22 Нечестивцы же истреблены будут, исторгнуты с земли, и вероломные будут искоренены.
