1 Некоторое время спустя видение посетило Аврама — в том видении было к нему слово ГОСПОДНЕ: «Не бойся, Аврам! Я — твой щит. Я и вознагражу тебя щедро».

2 «Владыка мой, ГОСПОДИ! — ответил Аврам. — Что можешь Ты дать мне, если я ухожу из мира сего бездетным? Наследник дома моего — Элиэзер из Дамаска».

3 И со скорбью добавил: «Увы! Не дал Ты мне потомка, и вот мой домочадец — наследник мой».

4 Но ему тогда же словом ГОСПОДНИМ был дан ответ: «Не ему быть твоим наследником. Зачатый от семени твоего будет наследником твоим!»

5 ГОСПОДЬ вывел Аврама из шатра и сказал ему: «Посмотри на небо и сосчитай звезды, если счесть их можешь! Столь многочисленным будет потомство твое!»

6 Аврам поверил ГОСПОДУ, и ГОСПОДЬ вменил ему это в праведность.

7 И сказал ГОСПОДЬ Авраму: «Я ГОСПОДЬ, Который вывел тебя из Ура Халдейского, чтобы отдать тебе землю эту как наследство, тебе завещанное».

8 «Владыка мой, ГОСПОДИ! — воскликнул Аврам. — Как подтвердится то, что я буду владеть ею?»

9 «Приведи Мне сюда, — ответил ему ГОСПОДЬ, — ни разу не телившуюся трехлетнюю корову, трехлетнюю козу, барана трехлетнего, принеси горлицу и голубя-птенца оперившегося».

10 Аврам исполнил всё, как было велено ему: рассек животных пополам и положил одну часть против другой, только птиц не рассек.

11 Слетались хищные птицы, но Аврам отгонял их.

12 При заходе солнца впал Аврам в глубокий сон, и мрак великий и ужас объяли его.

13 Тогда сказал Господь Авраму: «Знай же, что потомки твои будут людьми пришлыми в земле чужой; четыреста лет они будут жить в порабощении и угнетении.

14 Но суды Мои постигнут народ, поработивший их, — и твои потомки уйдут оттуда с большим имуществом.

15 А ты с миром отойдешь к праотцам твоим и погребен будешь в старости глубокой.

16 Лишь в четвертом поколении твои потомки возвратятся сюда, ибо преступления амореев еще не достигли своего предела».

17 Когда зашло солнце и наступила тьма, внезапно словно дым из печи и факел пылающий прошли между рассеченными животными.

18 В тот день в Своем Завете, Союзе, что заключил ГОСПОДЬ с Аврамом, Он заверил его: «Потомству твоему отдаю Я землю эту, от реки Египетской до великой реки, реки Евфрат, —

19 землю кенеев, кениззеев, кадмонеев,

20 хеттов, периззеев, рефаимов,

21 амореев, ханаанеев, гиргашеев и евусеев».

Chapter 15

1 After310 these428 things1697 the word1697 of the LORD3068 came1961 to Abram87 in a vision,4236 saying,559 Fear3372 not, Abram:87 I am your shield,4043 and your exceeding3966 great7235 reward.7939

2 And Abram87 said,559 LORD136 God,3069 what4100 will you give5414 me, seeing I go1980 childless,6185 and the steward1121 4943 of my house1004 is this1931 Eliezer461 of Damascus?1834

3 And Abram87 said,559 Behold,2005 to me you have given5414 no3808 seed:2233 and, see,2009 one born1121 in my house1004 is my heir.3423

4 And, behold,2009 the word1697 of the LORD3068 came to him, saying,559 This2088 shall not be your heir;3423 but he that shall come3318 forth3318 out of your own bowels4578 shall be your heir.3423

5 And he brought3318 him forth3318 abroad,2351 and said,559 Look5027 now4994 toward heaven,8064 and tell5608 the stars,3556 if518 you be able3201 to number5608 them: and he said559 to him, So3541 shall your seed2233 be.

6 And he believed539 in the LORD;3068 and he counted2803 it to him for righteousness.6666

7 And he said559 to him, I am the LORD3068 that brought3318 you out of Ur218 of the Chaldees,3778 to give5414 you this2063 land776 to inherit3423 it.

8 And he said,559 LORD136 God,3069 whereby4100 shall I know3045 that I shall inherit3423 it?

9 And he said559 to him, Take3947 me an heifer5697 of three8027 years8027 old,8027 and a she goat5795 of three8027 years8027 old,8027 and a ram352 of three8027 years8027 old,8027 and a turtledove,8449 and a young1469 pigeon.1469

10 And he took3947 to him all3605 these,428 and divided1334 them in the middle,8432 and laid5414 each376 piece1335 one against7125 another:7453 but the birds6833 divided1334 he not.

11 And when the fowls5861 came3381 down3381 on the carcasses,6297 Abram87 drove5380 them away.

12 And when1961 the sun8121 was going935 down,935 a deep8639 sleep8639 fell5307 on Abram;87 and, see,2009 an horror367 of great1419 darkness2825 fell5307 on him.

13 And he said559 to Abram,87 Know3045 of a surety3045 that your seed2233 shall be a stranger1616 in a land776 that is not their's,1992 and shall serve5647 them; and they shall afflict6031 them four702 hundred3967 years;8141

14 And also1571 that nation,1471 whom834 they shall serve,5647 will I judge:1777 and afterward310 3651 shall they come3318 out with great1419 substance.7399

15 And you shall go935 to your fathers1 in peace;7965 you shall be buried6912 in a good2896 old7872 age.7872

16 But in the fourth7243 generation1755 they shall come7725 here2008 again:7725 for the iniquity5771 of the Amorites567 is not yet5704 2008 full.8003

17 And it came1961 to pass, that, when1961 the sun8121 went935 down,935 and it was dark,5939 behold2009 a smoking6227 furnace,8574 and a burning784 lamp3940 that passed5674 between996 those428 pieces.1506

18 In the same1931 day3117 the LORD3068 made3772 a covenant1285 with Abram,87 saying,559 To your seed2233 have I given5414 this2063 land,776 from the river5104 of Egypt4714 to the great1419 river,5104 the river5104 Euphrates:6578

19 The Kenites,7017 and the Kenizzites,7074 and the Kadmonites,6935

20 And the Hittites,2850 and the Perizzites,6522 and the Rephaims,7497

21 And the Amorites,567 and the Canaanites,3669 and the Girgashites,1622 and the Jebusites.2983

2 «Владыка мой, ГОСПОДИ! — ответил Аврам. — Что можешь Ты дать мне, если я ухожу из мира сего бездетным? Наследник дома моего — Элиэзер из Дамаска».

2 And Abram87 said,559 LORD136 God,3069 what4100 will you give5414 me, seeing I go1980 childless,6185 and the steward1121 4943 of my house1004 is this1931 Eliezer461 of Damascus?1834

3 И со скорбью добавил: «Увы! Не дал Ты мне потомка, и вот мой домочадец — наследник мой».

3 And Abram87 said,559 Behold,2005 to me you have given5414 no3808 seed:2233 and, see,2009 one born1121 in my house1004 is my heir.3423

4 Но ему тогда же словом ГОСПОДНИМ был дан ответ: «Не ему быть твоим наследником. Зачатый от семени твоего будет наследником твоим!»

4 And, behold,2009 the word1697 of the LORD3068 came to him, saying,559 This2088 shall not be your heir;3423 but he that shall come3318 forth3318 out of your own bowels4578 shall be your heir.3423

5 ГОСПОДЬ вывел Аврама из шатра и сказал ему: «Посмотри на небо и сосчитай звезды, если счесть их можешь! Столь многочисленным будет потомство твое!»

5 And he brought3318 him forth3318 abroad,2351 and said,559 Look5027 now4994 toward heaven,8064 and tell5608 the stars,3556 if518 you be able3201 to number5608 them: and he said559 to him, So3541 shall your seed2233 be.

6 Аврам поверил ГОСПОДУ, и ГОСПОДЬ вменил ему это в праведность.

13 Тогда сказал Господь Авраму: «Знай же, что потомки твои будут людьми пришлыми в земле чужой; четыреста лет они будут жить в порабощении и угнетении.

13 And he said559 to Abram,87 Know3045 of a surety3045 that your seed2233 shall be a stranger1616 in a land776 that is not their's,1992 and shall serve5647 them; and they shall afflict6031 them four702 hundred3967 years;8141

14 Но суды Мои постигнут народ, поработивший их, — и твои потомки уйдут оттуда с большим имуществом.

14 And also1571 that nation,1471 whom834 they shall serve,5647 will I judge:1777 and afterward310 3651 shall they come3318 out with great1419 substance.7399

15 А ты с миром отойдешь к праотцам твоим и погребен будешь в старости глубокой.

15 And you shall go935 to your fathers1 in peace;7965 you shall be buried6912 in a good2896 old7872 age.7872

16 Лишь в четвертом поколении твои потомки возвратятся сюда, ибо преступления амореев еще не достигли своего предела».

16 But in the fourth7243 generation1755 they shall come7725 here2008 again:7725 for the iniquity5771 of the Amorites567 is not yet5704 2008 full.8003
