Chapter 4

1 MASTERS, do to your servants that which is just and fair; knowing that you also have a Master in heaven.

2 Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;

3 And pray for us also, that God may open unto us a door for preaching, to speak the mystery of Christ for whose sake I am a prisoner:

4 So that I may make it manifest and speak about it as I should.

5 Live wisely in peace with those who are outside the church, and avoid offending.

6 Let your conversation be gracious, seasoned with salt, and you should know how to answer every man.

7 All things concerning me will be made known to you by Tych'i-cus, who is a beloved brother, and a faithful minister and fellowservant in the LORD:

8 Whom I send to you for this very purpose, that he may know the state of your affairs, and comfort your hearts;

9 Together with O-nes'i-mus, a faithful and beloved brother, who is one of you. They shall make known to you all the things which have happened to us.

10 Ar-is-tar'chus, my fellow-prisoner, salutes you, together with Mark, cousin to Barnabas, concerning whom you have been instructed: and if he comes, receive him;

11 And Jesus, who is called Justus. These are of the circumcision, and the only ones who have helped me toward the Kingdom of God; and have been a comfort to me.

12 Ep'a-phras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, salutes you: always labouring for you in prayer, that you may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.

13 For I can testify concerning him, that he has a great zeal for you, and for those who are in La-od-i-ce'a and Hi-e-rap'o-lis.

14 Luke, the beloved physician, and Demas, greet you.

15 Salute the brethren in La-od-i-ce'a, and salute Nym-phas and his family and the congregation that meets at his house.

16 And when this epistle has been read to you, see that it is read also in the church of the La-od-i-ce'ans; and likewise you read the epistle written from La-od-i-ce'a.

17 And say to Ar-chip'pus, Take heed to the ministry which you have received in our LORD and that you fulfill it.

18 This salutation is by the hand of me, Paul. Remember my imprisonment. Grace be with you. Amen.

1 Пани, — виявляйте до рабів справедливість та рівність, і знайте, що й для вас є на небі Госпо́дь!

2 Будьте тривалі в молитві, і пильнуйте з подякою в ній!

3 Моліться ра́зом і за нас, щоб Бог нам відчинив двері слова, — звіщати таємницю Христову, що за неї я й зв'я́заний,

4 щоб звістив я її, як звіщати належить мені.

5 Пово́дьтеся мудро з чужими, використовуючи час.

6 Слово ваше нехай буде за́вжди ласка́ве, припра́влене сіллю, щоб ви знали, як ви маєте кожному відповідати.

7 Що́ зо мною, то все вам розпові́сть Тихи́к, улю́блений брат, і вірний служи́тель і співробі́тник у Господі.

8 Я саме на те його вислав до вас, щоб довідались ви про нас, і щоб ваші серця він поті́шив,

9 із Они́симом, вірним та улю́бленим братом, який з-поміж вас. Вони все вам розповідя́ть, що́ діється тут.

10 Поздоровлює вас Ариста́рх, ув'я́знений ра́зом зо мною, і Ма́рко, небіж Варна́вин, — що про нього ви дістали нака́зи; як при́йде до вас, то прийміть його, —

11 теж Ісус, на прізвище Юст, — вони із обрі́заних. Для Божого Царства — єдині вони співробі́тники, що були́ мені втіхою.

12 Поздоровлює вас Епафра́с, що з ваших, раб Христа Ісуса. Він за́вжди обстоює вас у молитвах, щоб ви досконалі були та напо́внені всякою Божою волею.

13 І я сві́дчу за нього, що він має велику горли́вість про вас та про тих, що знахо́дяться в Лаодикі́ї та в Гієрапо́лі.

14 Вітає вас Лука́, улю́блений лі́кар, та Дима́с.

15 Привітайте братів, що в Лаодикі́ї, і Німфа́на, і Церкву домашню його́.

16 І як бу́де прочи́таний лист цей у вас, то зробіть, щоб прочитаний був він також у Церкві Лаодикі́йській, а того, що написаний з Лаодикі́ї, прочитайте і ви.

17 Та скажіть Архі́пові: „Доглядай того служі́ння, що прийняв його в Господі, щоб ти його ви́конав!“

18 Привітання моєю рукою Павловою. Пам'ятайте про пу́та мої! Благодать Божа нехай буде з вами! Амі́нь.

11 теж Ісус, на прізвище Юст, — вони із обрі́заних. Для Божого Царства — єдині вони співробі́тники, що були́ мені втіхою.

13 І я сві́дчу за нього, що він має велику горли́вість про вас та про тих, що знахо́дяться в Лаодикі́ї та в Гієрапо́лі.

16 І як бу́де прочи́таний лист цей у вас, то зробіть, щоб прочитаний був він також у Церкві Лаодикі́йській, а того, що написаний з Лаодикі́ї, прочитайте і ви.

17 And say to Ar-chip'pus, Take heed to the ministry which you have received in our LORD and that you fulfill it.

17 Та скажіть Архі́пові: „Доглядай того служі́ння, що прийняв його в Господі, щоб ти його ви́конав!“
