Chapter 11

1 AND the LORD said to Moses, Yet ill I bring one plague more upon Pharaoh, and upon the Egyptians: then I will let you go from here; when he shall let you go, then you must get out altogether.

2 Speak now in the presence of the people that they ask every man of his neighbor, and every woman of her neighbor, jewels of silver and jewels of gold.

3 And the LORD gave the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians. Moreover the man Moses was well honored in the land of Egypt in the sight of Pharaoh's servants and in the sight of the people.

4 And Moses said, Thus says the LORD, About midnight I will go forth into the midst of Egypt;

5 And all the first-born in the land of Egypt shall die, from the first-born of Pharaoh who sits on his throne even to the first-born of the maidservant who sits behind the mill; and all the first-born of the animals.

6 And there shall be a great wailing throughout all the land of Egypt, such as there was none like it, nor shall there be any like it any more.

7 But of the children of Israel no one shall be harmed, not even a dog shall bark against man or animals; that you may know that the LORD distinguishes between the Egyptians and Israel.

8 And all these your servants shall come down to me and bow down themselves to me, saying, Get out, both you and all the people that are with you; and after that I will go out. And Moses departed from the presence of Pharaoh in a great anger.

9 And the LORD said to Moses. Pharaoh shall not listen to you; that my wonders may be multiplied in the land of Egypt.

10 And Moses and Aaron did all these wonders before Pharaoh; but the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart so that he would not let the children of Israel go out of his land.

1 Господь сказал Моисею: «Ещё одно бедствие пошлю Я фараону и Египту; после этого он отпустит вас из Египта, более того, он сам прогонит вас из этой страны.

2 Ты должен передать народу Израиля вот что: „Мужчины и женщины, вы должны попросить у своих соседей-египтян золотые и серебряные вещи.

3 Господь сделает так, что египтяне отнесутся к вам по-доброму: египтяне, даже приближённые самого фараона, уже считают Моисея великим человеком”».

4 Моисей рассказал фараону о том, что говорит Господь: «Завтра в полночь Я пройду по всему Египту,

5 и всякий первенец в Египте умрёт, начиная с первенца фараона, владыки Египта, и кончая первенцем рабыни, которая молотит зерно. Умрут даже перворождённые всех домашних животных.

6 Рыдание будет стоять в Египте, какого ещё никогда не бывало раньше и какого впредь никогда не будет.

7 Однако никто из израильтян не пострадает — даже собака на них не залает. Никто из израильского народа и его скота не пострадает: так вы узнаете, что Я делаю различие между Израилем и Египтом.

8 И тогда все твои рабы склонятся передо Мной, умоляя: „Уходи и забери с собой весь свой народ. И только тогда я уйду!”» Произнеся эти слова, Моисей, разгневанный, покинул дворец фараона.

9 И сказал Господь Моисею: «Фараон тебя не послушал, чтобы Я мог показать в Египте Свою великую силу».

10 Вот почему Моисей и Аарон совершили перед фараоном все эти великие чудеса, и именно поэтому Господь сделал фараона таким упрямым и тот отказался отпустить израильский народ из своей страны.

3 Господь сделает так, что египтяне отнесутся к вам по-доброму: египтяне, даже приближённые самого фараона, уже считают Моисея великим человеком”».

4 Моисей рассказал фараону о том, что говорит Господь: «Завтра в полночь Я пройду по всему Египту,

5 и всякий первенец в Египте умрёт, начиная с первенца фараона, владыки Египта, и кончая первенцем рабыни, которая молотит зерно. Умрут даже перворождённые всех домашних животных.

6 Рыдание будет стоять в Египте, какого ещё никогда не бывало раньше и какого впредь никогда не будет.

8 И тогда все твои рабы склонятся передо Мной, умоляя: „Уходи и забери с собой весь свой народ. И только тогда я уйду!”» Произнеся эти слова, Моисей, разгневанный, покинул дворец фараона.

9 And the LORD said to Moses. Pharaoh shall not listen to you; that my wonders may be multiplied in the land of Egypt.

9 И сказал Господь Моисею: «Фараон тебя не послушал, чтобы Я мог показать в Египте Свою великую силу».
