1 THEN, fourteen years later, I went up again to Jerusalem with Barnabas, and took Titus with me also. |
|
2 And I went up because of a revelation, and I declared to them the gospel which I preached among the Gentiles, and I privately explained to those who were considered leaders among us, lest by any means I had labored, or should labor in vain. |
|
3 And Titus, also, who was with me, being Syrian, was not compelled to be circumcised, |
|
4 But because of the false brethren who had been brought in unknown to us to spy out the freedom which we have in Jesus Christ, with the intention of enslaving us; |
|
5 To those false brothers we did not submit, not even for an hour; that the truth of the gospel might remain with you. |
|
6 Now those who were considered to be important (what they are makes no difference to me, for God does not discriminate among men), even these very persons did not contribute additional knowledge to me. |
|
7 But on the contrary, when they saw that the gospel of the uncircumcision was entrusted to me, as the gospel of the circumcision was entrusted to Peter, |
|
8 (For he who made Cephas vigorous in the apostleship of the circumcision, has also made me mighty in the apostleship of the Gentiles:) |
|
9 And when they knew that the grace had been given to me, then James, Cephas, and John, who were considered to be pillars, gave to me and Barnabas the right hand of fellowship; that we might labor among the Gentiles, and they, among the people of circumcision. |
|
10 Only they would that we should remember the poor; and that I have endeavored to do. |
|
11 But when Cephas came to An'ti-och, I reproved him to his face, because he was to be blamed. |
|
12 For before certain men came from James, Cephas ate with the Gentiles: but after they came, he withdrew and separated himself, because he was afraid of them who belonged to the circumcision. |
|
13 And all the other Jewish converts cast their lots with him on this issue, insomuch that Barnabas also was carried away by their dissimulation. |
|
14 But when I saw that they were not following uprightly according to the truth of the gospel, I said to Peter, in the presence of them all, If you being a Jew live after the manner of Gentiles and not as do the Jews, why do you compel the Gentile converts to live as do the Jews? |
|
15 For if we who are of Jewish origin, and not sinners of the Gentiles, |
|
16 Know that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith in Christ and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no human being be justified. |
|
17 But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore our LORD Jesus Christ a minister of sin? Far be it. |
|
18 For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I will prove myself to be a transgressor of the law. |
|
19 For through the law I am dead to the law, that I might live unto God. |
|
20 I am crucified with Christ: henceforth it is not I who live, but Christ who lives in me; and the life which now I live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. |
|
21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness comes by means of the law, then Christ died in vain. |

2 Было откровение, что я должен пойти туда, и я изложил лидерам содержание Радостной Вести, которую я возвещаю среди язычников. Я сделал это в личной беседе с теми, кто считался главным среди них, чтобы проверить, не напрасно ли я трудился и тружусь. |
|
3 Так они не потребовали даже, чтобы Тит, бывший греком, был обрезан. |
|
4 А вопрос этот был поднят лжебратьями, которые скрытно проникли в нашу среду, желая лишить нас той свободы, которую мы получили во Христе Иисусе, и опять поработить нас. |
|
5 Но мы ни в чем не поддались им ни на минуту, чтобы у вас сохранилась истина Радостной Вести. |
|

7 Наоборот, они были убеждены в том, что мне было доверено возвещать Радостную Весть необрезанным точно так же, как Петру — обрезанным. |
|
8 Ведь Бог, Который действовал через Петра в его служении апостола для обрезанных, действовал и через меня в служении для язычников. |
|
9 И Иаков, Кифа и Иоанн — те, кого считают столпами церкви, подали мне и Варнаве руку общения в знак того, что они признают данное мне по благодати служение и соглашаются с тем, что нам следует идти к язычникам, а им — к обрезанным. |
|
10 Они лишь попросили о том, чтобы мы не забывали о помощи бедным, что я и исполняю с большим усердием. |
|

12 Раньше он ел вместе с верующими из язычников, но когда пришли некоторые люди, посланные Иаковом, он стал устраняться и перестал общаться с бывшими язычниками из страха перед теми, кто был обрезан. |
|
13 Так же лицемерно, как он, начали поступать и другие иудеи, так что их лицемерие сбило с правильного пути даже Варнаву. |
|
14 Когда я увидел, что они поступают не в согласии с истиной Радостной Вести, я сказал Кифе в присутствии всех: «Ты иудей, но живешь как язычник, а не как иудей. Зачем же ты заставляешь язычников следовать иудейским традициям?» |

16 знаем, что человек получает оправдание не соблюдением Закона, а верой в Иисуса Христа. Поэтому и мы поверили во Христа Иисуса, чтобы и нам быть оправданными верой в Него, а не соблюдением Закона. Соблюдением же Закона не оправдается никто. |
|
17 И если мы, ища оправдания через Христа, оказываемся такими же грешниками, как и язычники, значит ли это, что Христос распространяет грех? Ни в коем случае! |
|
18 Ведь если я вновь пытаюсь оправдаться через соблюдение Закона, что некогда сам же и отверг, то этим я показываю, что я нарушитель Закона. |
|
19 Закон приговорил меня к смерти, и, умерев, я освободился от власти Закона, чтобы жить для Бога! Я был распят со Христом, |
|
20 и уже не я, но Христос живет во мне. Моя жизнь в этом теле — это жизнь верой в Сына Божьего, полюбившего меня и отдавшего Себя за меня. |
|
21 Я не отвергаю благодать Божью. А если бы оправдание можно было получить через соблюдение Закона, то это значило бы, что Христос умер напрасно! |

6 Now those who were considered to be important (what they are makes no difference to me, for God does not discriminate among men), even these very persons did not contribute additional knowledge to me. |

7 Наоборот, они были убеждены в том, что мне было доверено возвещать Радостную Весть необрезанным точно так же, как Петру — обрезанным. |

16 Know that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith in Christ and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no human being be justified. |
16 знаем, что человек получает оправдание не соблюдением Закона, а верой в Иисуса Христа. Поэтому и мы поверили во Христа Иисуса, чтобы и нам быть оправданными верой в Него, а не соблюдением Закона. Соблюдением же Закона не оправдается никто. |

17 But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore our LORD Jesus Christ a minister of sin? Far be it. |
17 И если мы, ища оправдания через Христа, оказываемся такими же грешниками, как и язычники, значит ли это, что Христос распространяет грех? Ни в коем случае! |

18 Ведь если я вновь пытаюсь оправдаться через соблюдение Закона, что некогда сам же и отверг, то этим я показываю, что я нарушитель Закона. |

19 For through the law I am dead to the law, that I might live unto God. |
19 Закон приговорил меня к смерти, и, умерев, я освободился от власти Закона, чтобы жить для Бога! Я был распят со Христом, |
|
20 I am crucified with Christ: henceforth it is not I who live, but Christ who lives in me; and the life which now I live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. |
20 и уже не я, но Христос живет во мне. Моя жизнь в этом теле — это жизнь верой в Сына Божьего, полюбившего меня и отдавшего Себя за меня. |

21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness comes by means of the law, then Christ died in vain. |
21 Я не отвергаю благодать Божью. А если бы оправдание можно было получить через соблюдение Закона, то это значило бы, что Христос умер напрасно! |
