Chapter 29

1 AND this is the thing that you shall do to them to consecrate them, to minister to me in the priest's office: take one young bullock and two rams without blemish

2 And unleavened bread and unleavened cakes mixed with oil and unleavened wafers mixed with oil; of fine wheat flour shall you make them.

3 And you shall put them in one basket and bring them in the basket with the bullock and the two rams.

4 And Aaron and his sons you shall bring to the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and you shall wash them with water.

5 And you shall take the vestments and put upon Aaron the coat and the robe of the mitre, the ephod, and the breastplate, and gird him with the embroidered girdle of the ephod;

6 And you shall put the mitre on his head, and put the holy crown upon the mitre.

7 Then you shall take the anointing oil, and pour it upon his head, and anoint him.

8 And you shall bring his sons and put coats upon them.

9 And you shall gird them with girdles, Aaron and his sons, and put the bonnets on them; and the priest's office shall be theirs for a perpetual statute; and thus you shall consecrate Aaron and his sons.

10 And you shall bring a bullock before the tabernacle of the congregation; and Aaron and his sons shall put their hands on the head of the bullock.

11 And you shall slaughter the bullock before the LORD at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

12 And you shall take some of the blood of the bullock and sprinkle it upon the horns of the altar with your finger and pour all the rest of the blood at the bottom of the altar.

13 And you shall take all the fat that covers the entrails, and the caul that is above the liver, and the two kidneys and the fat that is on them and burn them upon the altar.

14 But the flesh of the bullock and its skin and its dung you shall burn with fire outside the camp; it is a sin offering.

15 You shall also take one ram; and Aaron and his sons shall put their hands on the head of the ram.

16 And you shall slaughter the ram; and you must take some of its blood and sprinkle it round about upon the altar.

17 And then you shall cut the ram into pieces, and wash its entrails and its legs, and put them over its pieces and over its head.

18 And you shall burn the whole ram upon the altar; it is a burnt offering to the LORD; it is a sweet savour, an offering made by fire to the LORD.

19 And you shall take the other ram; and Aaron and his sons shall put their hands upon the head of the ram.

20 Then you shall slaughter the ram, and take some of its blood, and sprinkle it upon the tip of the right ear of Aaron and upon the tips of the right ears of his sons and upon the thumbs of their right hands and upon the great toes of their right feet, and sprinkle the blood upon the altar round about.

21 And you shall take some of the blood that is on the altar and some of the anointing oil, and sprinkle it upon Aaron and upon his vestments and upon his sons and upon the vestments of his sons with him; and he shall be consecrated and his vestments and his sons and his sons' vestments with him.

22 And you shall take of the fat and the rump, and the fat that covers the entrails, the caul of the liver, the two kidneys, and the fat that is on them and the right shoulder; for it is a ram of consecration;

23 And you shall take one loaf of bread and one loaf of bread baked with oil and a cake baked with flour and oil out of the basket of the unleavened bread that is before the LORD;

24 And you shall put all of these in the hands of Aaron and in the hands of his sons; and you shall wave them for a wave offering before the LORD.

25 And you shall receive them from their hands, and burn the breast of the ram upon the altar for a burnt offering, for a sweet savour before the LORD; it is an offering made by fire to the LORD.

26 And you shall take the breast of the ram of Aaron's consecration and wave it for a wave offering before the LORD; and it shall become your share.

27 And you shall sanctify the breast of the wave offering and the thigh of the heave offering which is waved and which is placed upon the altar from the ram of the consecration, even of that which is for Aaron, and of that which is for his sons;

28 And it shall belong to Aaron and his sons by a statute for ever from the children of Israel; for it is a heave offering; and it shall be a heave offering from the children of Israel from their peace offerings, an oblation to the LORD.

29 And the holy vestments of Aaron shall belong to his sons after him, to be anointed in them and to be consecrated in them.

30 And one of his sons who is to become priest in his stead shall put them on seven days, when he enters into the tabernacle of the congregation to minister in the holy place.

31 And you shall take the ram of the consecration and cook its meat in the holy place.

32 And Aaron and his sons shall eat the meat of the ram and the bread that is in the basket at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

33 And they shall eat of those things with which the atonement was made, to consecrate and to sanctify them; but a stranger shall not eat of them because they are holy.

34 And if any of the meat of the consecration, or of the bread, remain unto the morning, then you shall burn what is left over with fire; it shall not be eaten because it is holy.

35 And thus shall you do to Aaron and to his sons, just as I have commanded you; seven days shall you consecrate them.

36 And you shall offer every day a bullock for a sin offering for atonement; and you shall sprinkle blood on the altar, when you make an atonement for it, and you shall anoint it to sanctify it.

37 Seven days you shall make an atonement for the altar and sanctify it; and the altar shall be most holy; whatever touches the altar shall be holy.

38 Now this is what you shall offer upon the altar: two lambs of the first year day by day continually.

39 One lamb you shall offer in the morning and the other lamb you shall offer in the evening;

40 And with the one lamb you shall offer a tenth part of an ephah of fine flour mixed with a fourth part of a hin of beaten oil, and a fourth part of a hin of wine for a drink offering.

41 And the other lamb you shall offer in the evening, and shall do to it according to the meat offering of the morning and according to the drink offering thereof for a sweet savour, an offering made by fire to the LORD.

42 It shall be a continual burnt offering throughout your generations at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation before the LORD, where I will meet you, to speak there to you.

43 And there I will meet with the children of Israel, and the people shall be sanctified by my glory.

44 And I will sanctify the tabernacle of the congregation and the altar; I will also sanctify both Aaron and his sons to minister to me in the priest's office.

45 And I will dwell among the children of Israel and will be their God.

46 And they shall know that I am the LORD their God who brought them forth out of the land of Egypt that I may dwell among them; I am the LORD their God.

14 But the flesh1320 of the bullock,6499 and his skin,5785 and his dung,6569 shall you burn8313 with fire784 without2351 the camp:4264 it is a sin2403 offering.

15 You shall also take3947 one259 ram;352 and Aaron175 and his sons1121 shall put5564 their hands3027 on the head7218 of the ram.352

16 And you shall slay7819 the ram,352 and you shall take3947 his blood,1818 and sprinkle2236 it round5439 about on the altar.4196

22 Also you shall take3947 of the ram352 the fat2459 and the rump,451 and the fat2459 that covers3680 the inwards,7130 and the lobe3508 above the liver,3516 and the two8147 kidneys,3629 and the fat2459 that is on them, and the right3233 shoulder;7785 for it is a ram352 of consecration:4394

23 And one259 loaf3603 of bread,3899 and one259 cake2471 of oiled8081 bread,3899 and one259 wafer7550 out of the basket5536 of the unleavened4682 bread that is before6440 the LORD:3068

24 And you shall put7760 all3605 in the hands3709 of Aaron,175 and in the hands3709 of his sons;1121 and shall wave5130 them for a wave8573 offering before6440 the LORD.3068

25 And you shall receive3947 them of their hands,3027 and burn6999 them on the altar4196 for a burnt5930 offering, for a sweet5207 smell7381 before6440 the LORD:3068 it is an offering made by fire to the LORD.3068

26 And you shall take3947 the breast2373 of the ram352 of Aaron's175 consecration,4394 and wave5130 it for a wave8573 offering before6440 the LORD:3068 and it shall be your part.4490

27 And you shall sanctify6942 the breast2373 of the wave8573 offering, and the shoulder7785 of the heave8641 offering,8641 which834 is waved,5130 and which834 is heaved7311 up, of the ram352 of the consecration,4394 even of that which834 is for Aaron,175 and of that which834 is for his sons:1121

28 And it shall be Aaron's175 and his sons'1121 by a statute2706 for ever5769 from the children1121 of Israel:3478 for it is an heave8641 offering:8641 and it shall be an heave8641 offering8641 from the children1121 of Israel3478 of the sacrifice2077 of their peace8002 offerings, even their heave8641 offering8641 to the LORD.3068

31 And you shall take3947 the ram352 of the consecration,4394 and seethe1310 his flesh1320 in the holy6918 place.4725

32 And Aaron175 and his sons1121 shall eat398 the flesh1320 of the ram,352 and the bread3899 that is in the basket 5536by the door6607 of the tabernacle168 of the congregation.4150

33 And they shall eat398 those things with which834 the atonement3722 was made, to consecrate3027 and to sanctify6942 them: but a stranger2114 shall not eat398 thereof, because3588 they are holy.6944

34 And if518 ought of the flesh1320 of the consecrations,4394 or of the bread,3899 remain3498 to the morning,1242 then you shall burn8313 the remainder3498 with fire:784 it shall not be eaten,398 because3588 it is holy.6944

35 And thus shall you do6213 to Aaron,175 and to his sons,1121 according to all3605 things which834 I have commanded6680 you: seven7651 days3117 shall you consecrate3027 them.
