Chapter 4

1 AND the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying,

2 Speak to the children of Israel, saying, If a person shall sin through ignorance against any of the commandments of the LORD concerning things which ought not to be done, and shall do any one of them;

3 If the priest that is anointed do sin according to the sins of the people; then let him offer for the sin which he has committed a young bullock without blemish to the LORD for his sin offering.

4 And he shall bring the bullock to the door of the tabernacle of the congregation before the LORD; and he shall lay his hand upon the bullock's head and kill the bullock before the LORD.

5 And the anointed priest shall take of the blood of the bullock and bring it to the tabernacle of the congregation;

6 And the priest shall dip his finger in the blood and sprinkle of the blood seven times before the LORD before the veil of the sanctuary.

7 And the priest shall put some of the blood upon the horns of the altar of sweet incense before the LORD, which is in the tabernacle of the congregation; and he shall pour all the rest of the blood of the bullock at the bottom of the altar of the burnt offering, which is at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

8 And he shall take off from it all the fat of the bullock for the sin offering, the fat that covers the entrails, and all the fat that is on the entrails,

9 And the two kidneys, and the fat that is on them which is by the flanks, and the caul above the liver, with the kidneys, it he shall take away,

10 Just as it was taken off from the bullock of the sacrifice of peace offering; and the priest shall burn them upon the altar of the burnt offering.

11 And the skin of the bullock and all its flesh, with its dung, its head, its legs, and its entrails,

12 The whole bullock he shall carry forth outside the camp to a clean place where the ashes are poured out and shall burn it on the wood which is upon the fire; where the ashes are poured out it shall be burnt.

13 And if the whole congregation of Israel go wrong, and the thing is hidden from the eyes of the assembly, and they have done somewhat against any of the commandments of the LORD concerning things which should not be done and are guilty;

14 When the sin which they have committed against it is known, then the whole congregation shall offer a young bullock for the sin and bring it before the tabernacle of the congregation.

15 And the elders of the congregation shall lay their hands upon the head of the bullock before the LORD and the bullock shall be killed before the LORD.

16 And the priest that is anointed shall bring of the blood of the bullock to the tabernacle of the congregation;

17 And the priest shall dip his finger in the blood and sprinkle it seven times before the LORD in front of the veil.

18 And he shall put some of the blood upon the horns of the altar which is before the LORD, in the tabernacle of the congregation, and shall pour out all the blood at the bottom of the altar of the burnt offering, which is at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

19 And he shall take all its fat from it and burn it upon the altar.

20 And he shall do with the bullock just as he did with the bullock for a sin offering, so shall he do with this; and the priest shall make an atonement for them and it shall be forgiven them.

21 And they shall carry forth the bullock outside the camp and burn it as he burned the first bullock; it is a sin offering for the congregation.

22 When a ruler shall sin and shall do something through ignorance against any of the commandments of the LORD his God concerning things which should not be done, and is guilty;

23 Or if his sin which he has committed is made known to him, he shall bring as his offering a kid of the goats, a male without blemish;

24 And he shall lay his hand upon the head of the goat and kill it in the place where they kill the burnt offering before the LORD; it is a sin offering.

25 And the priest shall take some of the blood of the sin offering with his finger and put it upon the horns of the altar of burnt offering and pour out the rest of the blood at the bottom of the altar of burnt offering.

26 And he shall burn all its fat upon the altar as the fat of the sacrifice of peace offerings; and the priest shall make an atonement for him for his sin and it shall be forgiven him.

27 And if any one of the common people of the land sin through ignorance, while he does something against any of the commandments of the LORD concerning things which ought not to be done, and be guilty;

28 Or if his sin which he has committed is made known to him; then he shall bring as his offering a kid of the goats, a female without blemish, for his sin which he has committed.

29 And he shall lay his hand upon the head of the sin offering and slay the sin offering in the place where the burnt offering is killed.

30 And the priest shall take some of the blood with his finger and sprinkle it upon the horns of the altar of burnt offering and the rest of the blood he shall pour out at the bottom of the altar.

31 And he shall take away all the fat thereof, as the fat is taken away from the sacrifice of peace offerings; and the priest shall burn it upon the altar for a sweet savour to the LORD; and the priest shall make an atonement for him and it shall be forgiven him.

32 And if he bring of the lambs for his sin offering, then he shall bring a female without blemish.

33 And he shall lay his hand upon the head of the sin offering and slay it for a sin offering at the place where burnt offering victims are killed.

34 And the priest shall take some of the blood of the sin offering with his finger and sprinkle it upon the horns of the altar of burnt offering and the rest of the blood he shall pour out at the bottom of the altar;

35 And he shall take away all its fat, as the fat of the lamb is taken away from the sacrifice of the peace offerings; and the priest shall burn them upon the altar according to the offerings made by fire to the LORD; and the priest shall make an atonement for his sin that he has committed and it shall be forgiven him.

4 Und soll den Farren6499 vor6440 die Tür6607 der Hütte168 des Stifts4150 bringen935, vor den HErrn3068, und seine Hand3027 auf6440 desselben Haupt7218 legen5564 und schlachten7819 vor dem HErrn3068.

5 Und3548 der Priester, der gesalbet ist4899, soll des Farren6499 Bluts1818 nehmen3947 und in die Hütte168 des Stifts4150 bringen935.

6 Und3548 soll seinen Finger676 in das Blut1818 tunken und7651 damit siebenmal sprengen5137 vor6440 dem HErrn3068, vor6440 dem Vorhang6532 im Heiligen6944.

7 Und3548 soll desselben Bluts1818 tun5414 auf6440 die Hörner7161 des Räuchaltars, der vor dem HErrn3068 in der Hütte168 des Stifts4150 stehet, und alles6499 Blut1818 gießen8210 an den Boden3247 des Brandopferaltars5930, der vor der Tür6607 der Hütte168 des Stifts4150 stehet.

8 Und alles6499 Fett2459 des Sündopfers2403 soll er heben7311, nämlich das Fett2459 am3680 Eingeweide7130,

9 die zwo Nieren3629 mit dem Fett2459, das dran ist8147, an den Lenden3689, und das Netz3508 über der Leber3516, an den Nieren3629 abgerissen5493,

10 gleichwie er‘s hebet vom Ochsen7794 im Dankopfer2077; und3548 soll‘s anzünden6999 auf7311 dem Brandopferaltar4196.

11 Aber das Fell5785 des Farren6499 mit7130 allem Fleisch1320, samt dem Kopf7218, und Schenkel3767 und das Eingeweide und den Mist6569,

12 das soll er alles6499 hinausführen2351 außer dem Lager4264 an413 eine reine2889 Stätte4725, da man die Asche1880 hinschüttet, und3318 soll‘s verbrennen8313 auf dem Holz6086 mit Feuer784.

13 Wenn es eine ganze Gemeine in Israel3478 versehen würde7686, und die Tat6213 vor ihren6951 Augen5869 verborgen5956 wäre, daß sie irgend wider ein259 Gebot4687 des HErrn3068 getan6213 hätten, das1697 sie nicht tun sollten, und sich also verschuldeten816,

14 und1121 danach ihrer Sünde2403 inne würden, die sie6951 getan2398 hätten: sollen sie einen jungen Farren6499 darbringen7126 zum Sündopfer2403 und vor6440 die Tür der Hütte168 des Stifts4150 stellen935.

15 Und die Ältesten2205 von der Gemeine sollen ihre Hände3027 auf6440 sein6499 Haupt7218 legen5564 vor6440 dem HErrn3068 und den Farren6499 schlachten7819 vor dem HErrn3068.

16 Und3548 der Priester, der gesalbet ist4899, soll des Bluts1818 vom Farren6499 in die Hütte168 des Stifts4150 bringen935

20 Und3548 soll mit dem Farren6499 tun6213, wie er mit dem Farren6499 des Sündopfers2403 getan6213 hat. Und soll also6213 der Priester sie versöhnen3722, so wird‘s ihnen vergeben5545.

21 Und soll6951 den Farren6499 außer dem Lager4264 führen3318 und verbrennen8313 wie er den vorigen7223 Farren6499 verbrannt hat8313. Das soll das Sündopfer2403 der Gemeine sein.

22 Wenn aber ein259 Fürst5387 sündiget und irgend wider des HErrn3068, seines Gottes430, Gebot4687 tut6213, das er nicht tun6213 sollte, und versiehet es, daß er sich2398 verschuldet816,

23 und wird3045 seiner Sünde2403 inne, die er getan2398 hat: der soll zum Opfer7133 bringen935 einen Ziegenbock8163 ohne Wandel;

24 und seine Hand3027 auf6440 des Bocks Haupt7218 legen5564 und ihn schlachten7819 an der Stätte4725, da man die Brandopfer5930 schlachtet7819 vor dem HErrn3068. Das sei ein Sündopfer2403.

25 Da soll denn der Priester des Bluts1818 von dem Sündopfer2403 nehmen3947 mit seinem Finger676 und3548 auf die Hörner7161 des Brandopferaltars5930 tun5414 und das andere Blut1818 an den Boden3247 des Brandopferaltars5930 gießen8210.

26 Aber alles sein Fett2459 soll er auf dem Altar4196 anzünden6999, gleichwie das Fett2459 des Dankopfers2077. Und3548 soll also der Priester seine Sünde2403 versöhnen3722, so wird‘s ihm vergeben5545.

27 Wenn es aber eine259 See LE5315 vom gemeinen Volk5971 versiehet und sündiget, daß sie irgend wider der Gebote4687 des HErrn3068 eines259 tut6213, das776 sie nicht tun6213 sollte, und sich2398 also verschuldet816,

28 und ihrer Sünde2403 inne wird3045, die sie getan2398 hat: die soll zum Opfer7133 eine Ziege5795 bringen935 ohne Wandel für die Sünde2403, die sie getan2398 hat;

29 und2403 soll ihre Hand3027 auf des Sündopfers2403 Haupt7218 legen5564 und schlachten7819 an der Stätte4725 des Brandopfers5930.

30 Und3548 der Priester soll des Bluts1818 mit seinem Finger676 nehmen3947 und auf die Hörner7161 des Altars4196 des Brandopfers5930 tun5414 und alles Blut1818 an des Altars4196 Boden3247 gießen8210.

31 All sein Fett2459 aber soll er5493 abreißen, wie er das Fett2459 des Dankopfers2077 abgerissen hat, und3548 soll‘s anzünden6999 auf dem Altar4196 zum süßen5207 Geruch7381 dem HErrn3068. Und3548 soll also der Priester sie5493 versöhnen3722, so wird‘s ihr vergeben5545.

32 Wird er aber ein Schaf3532 zum Sündopfer2403 bringen, so bringe935 er, das eine Sie ist935, ohne Wandel,

33 und lege5564 seine Hand3027 auf des Sündopfers2403 Haupt7218 und schlachte7819 es5930 zum Sündopfer2403 an der Stätte4725, da man die Brandopfer schlachtet7819.

34 Und3548 der Priester soll des Bluts1818 mit seinem Finger676 nehmen3947 und2403 auf die Hörner7161 des Brandopferaltars5930 tun5414 und alles Blut1818 an den Boden3247 des Altars4196 gießen8210.

35 Aber all sein Fett2459 soll er5493 abreißen, wie er5493 das Fett2459 vom Schaf3775 des Dankopfers2077 abgerissen hat, und3548 soll‘s auf dem Altar4196 anzünden6999 zum Feuer801 dem HErrn3068. 24 And he shall lay his hand upon the head of the goat and kill it in the place where they kill the burnt offering before the LORD; it is a sin offering.
