14 Then answered6030 Haggai,2292 and said,559 So3651 is this2088 people,5971 and so3651 is this2088 nation1471 before6440 me, saith5002 the LORD;3068 and so3651 is every3605 work4639 of their hands;3027 and that which834 they offer7126 there8033 is unclean.2931

15 And now,6258 I pray you,4994 consider7760 3824 from4480 this2088 day3117 and upward,4605 from before4480 2962 a stone68 was laid7760 upon413 a stone68 in the temple1964 of the LORD: 3068

16 Since those days were,4480 1961 when one came935 to413 a heap6194 of twenty6242 measures, there were1961 but ten:6235 when one came935 to413 the wine vat3342 for to draw out2834 fifty2572 vessels out of the press,6333 there were1961 but twenty.6242

17 I smote5221 you with blasting7711 and with mildew3420 and with hail1259 in854 all3605 the labors4639 of your hands;3027 yet ye turned not369 to413 me, saith5002 the LORD.3068

18 Consider7760 3824 now4994 from4480 this2088 day3117 and upward,4605 from the four702 and twentieth6242 day4480 3117 of the ninth8671 month, even from4480 the day3117 that834 the foundation of the LORD's temple was laid,3245 1964 3068 consider7760 3824 it.

19 Is the seed2233 yet5750 in the barn?4035 yea, as yet5704 the vine,1612 and the fig tree,8384 and the pomegranate,7416 and the olive2132 tree,6086 hath not3808 brought forth:5375 from4480 this2088 day3117 will I bless1288 you.

20 And again8145 the word1697 of the LORD3068 came1961 unto413 Haggai2292 in the four702 and twentieth6242 day of the month,2320 saying,559

21 Speak559 to413 Zerubbabel,2216 governor6346 of Judah,3063 saying,559 I589 will shake7493 853 the heavens8064 and the earth;776

22 And I will overthrow2015 the throne3678 of kingdoms,4467 and I will destroy8045 the strength2392 of the kingdoms4467 of the heathen;1471 and I will overthrow2015 the chariots,4818 and those that ride7392 in them; and the horses5483 and their riders7392 shall come down,3381 every one376 by the sword2719 of his brother.251

3 «Кто из вас ещё помнит этот дом в его прежней славе? Каким вы видите его сейчас? Разве он не кажется вам ничтожным?»

4 Но сейчас ободрись, Зоровавель, – возвещает Вечный. – Ободрись, Иешуа, сын Иехоцадака, главный священнослужитель. Ободрись, и весь народ страны, – возвещает Вечный, – и трудитесь, потому что Я с вами, – возвещает Вечный, Повелитель Сил, –

5 по соглашению, которое Я заключил с вами, когда вы вышли из Египта. Мой Дух пребывает с вами. Не бойтесь!

6 Так говорит Вечный, Повелитель Сил: – Вскоре Я снова сотрясу небо и землю, море и сушу.

7 Я сотрясу все народы, и их сокровища придут сюда, и Я наполню этот дом славой, – говорит Вечный, Повелитель Сил. –

8 Серебро и золото – Мои, – возвещает Вечный, Повелитель Сил. –

9 Слава этого дома превзойдёт славу прежнего, – говорит Вечный, Повелитель Сил, – и здесь Я дарую благоденствие, – возвещает Вечный, Повелитель Сил.

10 В двадцать четвёртый день девятого месяца, во второй год правления царя Дария (18 декабря 520 г. до н. э.), было слово Вечного к пророку Аггею:

11 – Так говорит Вечный, Повелитель Сил: Спроси священнослужителей, что говорит Закон:

12 если кто-то несёт посвящённое Всевышнему мясо в поле одежды и прикоснётся ею к лепёшке, похлёбке, вину, маслу или другой еде, станет ли эта еда тоже посвящённой Всевышнему?Священнослужители ответили: – Нет.

13 Тогда Аггей сказал: – А если тот, кто осквернился, прикоснувшись к покойнику, коснётся одной из этих вещей, тогда эта вещь осквернится? – Да, – ответили священнослужители, – тогда осквернится.

14 И Аггей сказал: – Так и с этим народом, с этим родом, что предо Мной, – возвещает Вечный. – Всё, что они делают, и всё, что они приносят там, нечисто.

15 – Вспомните недавнее прошлое, до того, как камень был положен на камень в храме Вечного.

16 Когда вы приходили к копне, в которой было двадцать мер, в ней оказывалось лишь десять. Когда вы приходили к давильне, чтобы начерпать пятьдесят мер, в ней оказывалось всего двадцать.

17 Я поражал все труды ваших рук знойным ветром, плесенью и градом, но вы не обращались ко Мне, – возвещает Вечный. –

18 Вспомните недавнее прошлое, начиная с сегодняшнего дня, двадцать четвёртого дня девятого месяца (18 декабря), когда были заложены основания храма Вечного.

19 Остались ли ещё семена в закромах? Ни виноградная лоза, ни инжир, ни гранат, ни маслина до сих пор не принесли плода. Но с этого дня Я благословлю вас.

20 В двадцать четвёртый день месяца (18 декабря) во второй раз к пророку Аггею было слово Вечного:

21 – Скажи Зоровавелю, наместнику Иудеи, что Я сотрясу небо и землю.

22 Я низвергну царские престолы и сломлю силу чужеземных царств. Я опрокину колесницы и колесничих; падут кони, и их наездники погибнут от мечей друг друга.

14 И Аггей сказал: – Так и с этим народом, с этим родом, что предо Мной, – возвещает Вечный. – Всё, что они делают, и всё, что они приносят там, нечисто.
