2 Son1121 of man,120 thou859 dwellest3427 in the midst8432 of a rebellious4805 house,1004 which834 have eyes5869 to see,7200 and see7200 not;3808 they have ears241 to hear,8085 and hear8085 not:3808 for3588 they1992 are a rebellious4805 house.1004

3 Therefore, thou859 son1121 of man,120 prepare6213 thee stuff3627 for removing,1473 and remove1540 by day3119 in their sight;5869 and thou shalt remove1540 from thy place4480 4725 to413 another312 place4725 in their sight:5869 it may be194 they will consider,7200 though3588 they1992 be a rebellious4805 house.1004

4 Then shalt thou bring forth3318 thy stuff3627 by day3119 in their sight,5869 as stuff3627 for removing:1473 and thou859 shalt go forth3318 at even6153 in their sight,5869 as they that go forth4161 into captivity.1473

5 Dig2864 thou through the wall7023 in their sight,5869 and carry out3318 thereby.

7 And I did6213 so3651 as834 I was commanded:6680 I brought forth3318 my stuff3627 by day,3119 as stuff3627 for captivity,1473 and in the even6153 I digged2864 through the wall7023 with mine hand;3027 I brought it forth3318 in the twilight,5939 and I bore5375 it upon5921 my shoulder3802 in their sight.5869

8 And in the morning1242 came1961 the word1697 of the LORD3068 unto413 me, saying,559

9 Son1121 of man,120 hath not3808 the house1004 of Israel,3478 the rebellious4805 house,1004 said559 unto413 thee, What4100 doest6213 thou?859

10 Say559 thou unto413 them, Thus3541 saith559 the Lord136 GOD;3069 This2088 burden4853 concerneth the prince5387 in Jerusalem,3389 and all3605 the house1004 of Israel3478 that834 are among8432 them.

11 Say,559 I589 am your sign:4159 like as834 I have done,6213 so3651 shall it be done6213 unto them: they shall remove1473 and go1980 into captivity.7628

12 And the prince5387 that834 is among8432 them shall bear5375 upon413 his shoulder3802 in the twilight,5939 and shall go forth:3318 they shall dig2864 through the wall7023 to carry out3318 thereby: he shall cover3680 his face,6440 that3282 834 he1931 see7200 not3808 853 the ground776 with his eyes.5869

13 853 My net7568 also will I spread6566 upon5921 him, and he shall be taken8610 in my snare:4686 and I will bring935 him to Babylon894 to the land776 of the Chaldeans;3778 yet shall he not3808 see7200 it, though he shall die4191 there.8033

14 And I will scatter2219 toward every3605 wind7307 all3605 that834 are about5439 him to help5828 him, and all3605 his bands;102 and I will draw out7324 the sword2719 after310 them.

15 And they shall know3045 that3588 I589 am the LORD,3068 when I shall scatter6327 them among the nations,1471 and disperse2219 them in the countries.776

16 But I will leave3498 a few4557 men376 of4480 them from the sword,4480 2719 from the famine,4480 7458 and from the pestilence;4480 1698 that4616 they may declare5608 853 all3605 their abominations8441 among the heathen1471 whither834 8033 they come;935 and they shall know3045 that3588 I589 am the LORD.3068

17 Moreover the word1697 of the LORD3068 came1961 to413 me, saying,559

18 Son1121 of man,120 eat398 thy bread3899 with quaking,7494 and drink8354 thy water4325 with trembling7269 and with carefulness;1674

19 And say559 unto413 the people5971 of the land,776 Thus3541 saith559 the Lord136 GOD3069 of the inhabitants3427 of Jerusalem,3389 and of413 the land127 of Israel;3478 They shall eat398 their bread3899 with carefulness,1674 and drink8354 their water4325 with astonishment,8078 that4616 her land776 may be desolate3456 from all that is therein,4480 4393 because of the violence4480 2555 of all3605 them that dwell3427 therein.

20 And the cities5892 that are inhabited3427 shall be laid waste,2717 and the land776 shall be1961 desolate;8077 and ye shall know3045 that3588 I589 am the LORD.3068

21 And the word1697 of the LORD3068 came1961 unto413 me, saying,559

22 Son1121 of man,120 what4100 is that2088 proverb4912 that ye have in5921 the land127 of Israel,3478 saying,559 The days3117 are prolonged,748 and every3605 vision2377 faileth?6

23 Tell559 413 them therefore,3651 Thus3541 saith559 the Lord136 GOD;3069 I will make this2088 proverb4912 853 to cease,7673 and they shall no3808 more5750 use it as a proverb4911 853 in Israel;3478 but3588 518 say1696 unto413 them, The days3117 are at hand,7126 and the effect1697 of every3605 vision.2377

24 For3588 there shall be1961 no3808 more5750 any3605 vain7723 vision2377 nor flattering2509 divination4738 within8432 the house1004 of Israel.3478

25 For3588 I589 am the LORD:3068 I will speak,1696 and the word1697 853 that834 I shall speak1696 shall come to pass;6213 it shall be no3808 more5750 prolonged:4900 for3588 in your days,3117 O rebellious4805 house,1004 will I say1696 the word,1697 and will perform6213 it, saith5002 the Lord136 GOD.3069

26 Again the word1697 of the LORD3068 came1961 to413 me, saying,559

27 Son1121 of man,120 behold,2009 they of the house1004 of Israel3478 say,559 The vision2377 that834 he1931 seeth2372 is for many7227 days3117 to come, and he1931 prophesieth5012 of the times6256 that are far off.7350

28 Therefore3651 say559 unto413 them, Thus3541 saith559 the Lord136 GOD;3069 There shall none3808 3605 of my words1697 be prolonged4900 any more,5750 but the word1697 which834 I have spoken1696 shall be done,6213 saith5002 the Lord136 GOD.3069

1 THE word of the LORD came to me, saying,

2 Son of man, you live in the midst of a rebellious house, who have eyes to see and see not; who have ears to hear and hear not; for they are a rebellious house.

3 Therefore, Son of man, prepare for yourself the things which are necessary for captivity, and go into the captivity by day in their sight; go from your own place to another place, so that they may see, because they are a rebellious house.

4 Then bring out your belongings by day in their sight, as though they were the necessary things for captivity; and you shall go forth in the evening like those who go forth into captivity.

5 Make a breach through the wall in their sight and go forth through it.

6 Take the luggage on your shoulder and go forth in the dark; you shall cover your face, that you may not see the ground; for I have set you as a sign to the house of Israel.

7 And I did as he had commanded me: I brought forth my luggage by day as one who carries luggage into captivity, and in the evening I made a breach through the wall and went forth in the dark, carrying my luggage upon my shoulder in their sight.

8 And the word of the LORD came upon me in the morning, saying,

9 Son of man, if the children of the rebellious house of Israel should say to you, What are you doing?

10 Say to them, Thus says the LORD God: Even so shall the prince carry such luggage in Jerusalem, and all the house of Israel with him.

11 Say to them, I am a sign to you; just as I have done, so shall it be done to you; you shall go into captivity.

12 And the leader who is among you shall carry his luggage upon his shoulder, and shall go forth in the dark, and shall make a breach through the wall and go out through it; he shall cover his face, that he may not see the ground.

13 And I will spread my net over him, and he shall be caught in it; and I will bring him to Babylon to the land of the Chaldeans; yet he shall not see the land, and there shall he die.

14 And I will scatter towards every wind all that are about him to help him and give him strength; and I will draw out the sword after them.

15 And they shall know that I am the LORD, when I shall scatter them among the nations and disperse them in the countries.

16 But I will spare a few men of them from the sword, from famine, and from pestilence, that they may declare all their abominations among the Gentiles whither they go; and they shall know that I am the LORD.

17 Moreover the word of the LORD came to me, saying,

18 Son of man, eat your bread with quaking, and drink your water with trembling and with fear of scarcity;

19 And say to the people of the land, Thus says the LORD God concerning the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and concerning the land of Israel: They shall eat their bread with fear of lack, and drink their water with terror, for the land shall be desolate from all that is therein, because of the iniquity of all those who dwell in it.

20 And the cities that are inhabited shall be laid waste, and the land shall become desolate; and you shall know that I am the LORD.

21 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

22 Son of man, what is that proverb that you have in the land of Israel, saying, The days are prolonged, and every vision shall fall?

23 Tell them therefore, Thus says the LORD God: I will make this proverb to cease, and they shall no more use it as a proverb in Israel; but say to them, The days are at hand when every vision shall come true.

24 For there shall be no more any false vision nor doubtful divination among the children of Israel.

25 For I am the LORD; I have spoken, and the word which I speak I shall perform it; and I shall no more delay it; for in your days, O rebellious house, I will speak the word and will perform it, says the LORD God.

26 Again the word of the LORD came upon me, saying,

27 Son of man, behold, the children of the house of Israel say, The vision that he sees is for the distant future, and he prophesies of the times that are far off.

28 Therefore say unto them, Thus says the LORD God: There shall none of my words be delayed any more, but the word which I have spoken I shall soon fulfil, says the LORD God.
