3 A voice6963 of crying6818 shall be from Horonaim,4480 2773 spoiling7701 and great1419 destruction.7667

4 Moab4124 is destroyed;7665 her little ones6810 have caused a cry2201 to be heard.8085

5 For3588 in the going up4608 of Luhith3872 continual weeping1065 1065 shall go up;5927 for3588 in the going down4174 of Horonaim2773 the enemies6862 have heard8085 a cry6818 of destruction.7667

6 Flee,5127 save4422 your lives,5315 and be1961 like the heath6176 in the wilderness.4057

7 For3588 because3282 thou hast trusted982 in thy works4639 and in thy treasures,214 thou859 shalt also1571 be taken:3920 and Chemosh3645 shall go forth3318 into captivity1473 with his priests3548 and his princes8269 together.3162

8 And the spoiler7703 shall come935 upon413 every3605 city,5892 and no3808 city5892 shall escape:4422 the valley6010 also shall perish,6 and the plain4334 shall be destroyed,8045 as834 the LORD3068 hath spoken.559

9 Give5414 wings6731 unto Moab,4124 that3588 it may flee5323 and get away:3318 for the cities5892 thereof shall be1961 desolate,8047 without any4480 369 to dwell3427 therein.2004

10 Cursed779 be he that doeth6213 the work4399 of the LORD3068 deceitfully,7423 and cursed779 be he that keepeth back4513 his sword2719 from blood.4480 1818

11 Moab4124 hath been at ease7599 from his youth,4480 5271 and he1931 hath settled8252 on413 his lees,8105 and hath not3808 been emptied7324 from vessel4480 3627 to413 vessel,3627 neither3808 hath he gone1980 into captivity:1473 therefore5921 3651 his taste2940 remained5975 in him, and his scent7381 is not3808 changed.4171

12 Therefore,3651 behold,2009 the days3117 come,935 saith5002 the LORD,3068 that I will send7971 unto him wanderers,6808 that shall cause him to wander,6808 and shall empty7324 his vessels,3627 and break5310 their bottles.5035

13 And Moab4124 shall be ashamed954 of Chemosh,4480 3645 as834 the house1004 of Israel3478 was ashamed954 of Bethel4480 1008 their confidence.4009

15 Moab4124 is spoiled,7703 and gone up5927 out of her cities,5892 and his chosen4005 young men970 are gone down3381 to the slaughter,2874 saith5002 the King,4428 whose name8034 is the LORD3068 of hosts.6635

16 The calamity343 of Moab4124 is near7138 to come,935 and his affliction7451 hasteth4116 fast.3966

17 All3605 ye that are about5439 him, bemoan5110 him; and all3605 ye that know3045 his name,8034 say,559 How349 is the strong5797 staff4294 broken,7665 and the beautiful8597 rod!4731

18 Thou daughter1323 that dost inhabit3427 Dibon,1769 come down3381 from thy glory,4480 3519 and sit3427 in thirst;6772 for3588 the spoiler7703 of Moab4124 shall come5927 upon thee, and he shall destroy7843 thy strongholds.4013

19 O inhabitant3427 of Aroer,6177 stand5975 by413 the way,1870 and espy;6822 ask7592 him that fleeth,5127 and her that escapeth,4422 and say,559 What4100 is1961 done?

20 Moab4124 is confounded;3001 for3588 it is broken down:2865 howl3213 and cry;2199 tell5046 ye it in Arnon,769 that3588 Moab4124 is spoiled,7703

26 Make ye him drunken:7937 for3588 he magnified1431 himself against5921 the LORD:3068 Moab4124 also shall wallow5606 in his vomit,6892 and he1931 also1571 shall be1961 in derision.7814

27 For518 was1961 not3808 Israel3478 a derision7814 unto thee? was he found4672 among thieves?1590 for3588 since4480 1767 thou spakest1697 of him, thou skippedst for joy.5110

28 O ye that dwell3427 in Moab,4124 leave5800 the cities,5892 and dwell7931 in the rock,5553 and be1961 like the dove3123 that maketh her nest7077 in the sides5676 of the hole's6354 mouth.6310

29 We have heard8085 the pride1347 of Moab,4124 (he is exceeding3966 proud)1343 his loftiness,1363 and his arrogance,1347 and his pride,1346 and the haughtiness7312 of his heart.3820

30 I589 know3045 his wrath,5678 saith5002 the LORD;3068 but it shall not3808 be so;3651 his lies907 shall not3808 so3651 effect6213 it.

31 Therefore5921 3651 will I howl3213 for5921 Moab,4124 and I will cry out2199 for all3605 Moab;4124 mine heart shall mourn1897 for413 the men376 of Kir-heres.7025

35 Moreover I will cause to cease7673 in Moab,4124 saith5002 the LORD,3068 him that offereth5927 in the high places,1116 and him that burneth incense6999 to his gods.430

36 Therefore5921 3651 mine heart3820 shall sound1993 for Moab4124 like pipes,2485 and mine heart3820 shall sound1993 like pipes2485 for413 the men376 of Kir-heres:7025 because5921 3651 the riches3502 that he hath gotten6213 are perished.6

37 For3588 every3605 head7218 shall be bald,7144 and every3605 beard2206 clipped:1639 upon5921 all3605 the hands3027 shall be cuttings,1418 and upon5921 the loins4975 sackcloth.8242

38 There shall be lamentation4553 generally3605 upon5921 all3605 the housetops1406 of Moab,4124 and in the streets7339 thereof: for3588 I have broken7665 853 Moab4124 like a vessel3627 wherein is no369 pleasure,2656 saith5002 the LORD.3068

39 They shall howl,3213 saying, How349 is it broken down!2865 how349 hath Moab4124 turned6437 the back6203 with shame!954 so shall Moab4124 be1961 a derision7814 and a dismaying4288 to all3605 them about5439 him.

40 For3588 thus3541 saith559 the LORD;3068 Behold,2009 he shall fly1675 as an eagle,5404 and shall spread6566 his wings3671 over413 Moab.4124

41 Kerioth7152 is taken,3920 and the strongholds4679 are surprised,8610 and the mighty men's1368 hearts3820 in Moab4124 at that1931 day3117 shall be1961 as the heart3820 of a woman802 in her pangs.6887

42 And Moab4124 shall be destroyed8045 from being a people,4480 5971 because3588 he hath magnified1431 himself against5921 the LORD.3068

43 Fear,6343 and the pit,6354 and the snare,6341 shall be upon5921 thee, O inhabitant3427 of Moab,4124 saith5002 the LORD.3068

44 He that fleeth5211 from4480 6440 the fear6343 shall fall5307 into413 the pit;6354 and he that getteth up5927 out of4480 the pit6354 shall be taken3920 in the snare:6341 for3588 I will bring935 upon413 it, even upon413 Moab,4124 the year8141 of their visitation,6486 saith5002 the LORD.3068

45 They that fled5127 stood5975 under the shadow6738 of Heshbon2809 because of the force:4480 3581 but3588 a fire784 shall come forth3318 out of Heshbon,4480 2809 and a flame3852 from the midst4480 996 of Sihon,5511 and shall devour398 the corner6285 of Moab,4124 and the crown of the head6936 of the tumultuous7588 ones.1121

46 Woe188 be unto thee, O Moab!4124 the people5971 of Chemosh3645 perisheth:6 for3588 thy sons1121 are taken3947 captives,7628 and thy daughters1323 captives.7633

47 Yet will I bring again7725 the captivity7622 of Moab4124 in the latter319 days,3117 saith5002 the LORD.3068 Thus2008 far5704 is the judgment4941 of Moab.4124

1 Wider Moab4124 So spricht der HErr3068 Zebaoth6635, der GOtt430 Israels3478: Wehe1945 der Stadt Nebo5015, denn sie559 ist zerstöret und liegt elend3920! Kiriathaim ist gewonnen3001; die Feste4869 steht elend und ist zerrissen2865.

2 Der Trotz Moabs4124 ist aus, den sie an Hesbon2809 hatten; denn man gedenkt Böses7451 wider sie, nämlich: Kommt3212, wir wollen sie ausrotten3772, daß sie kein Volk1471 mehr seien! Und8416 du, Madmen4086, mußt auch verderbet werden2803; das Schwert2719 wird hinter310 dich3212 kommen.

3 Man höret ein Geschrei6963 zu Horonaim2773 von Verstören7701 und großem1419 Jammer7667.

4 Moab4124 ist zerschlagen7665; man höret8085 ihre Jungen schreien2201.

5 Denn sie gehen5927 mit Weinen1065 den Weg hinauf4608 gen Luhith3872, und die Feinde6862 hören8085 ein Jammergeschrei6818 den Weg von Horonaim2773 herab4174,

6 nämlich: Hebet euch5315 weg5127 und errettet4422 euer Leben! Aber du wirst sein1961 wie die Heide6176 in der Wüste4057.

7 Darum daß du dich982 auf deine Gebäude verlässest und4639 auf deine Schätze214, sollst du auch gewonnen3920 werden3318; und Kamos3645 muß hinaus gefangen1473 wegziehen samt3162 seinen Priestern3548 und Fürsten8269.

8 Denn der Verstörer7703 wird über alle Städte5892 kommen935, daß nicht6 eine Stadt5892 entrinnen4422 wird. Es sollen beide, die Gründe6010 verderbet und die Ebenen4334 verstöret werden; denn der HErr3068 hat‘s8045 gesagt559.

9 Gebet Moab4124 Federn6731! Er5414 wird ausgehen3318, als flöge5323 er; und8047 ihre Städte5892 werden wüste liegen, daß niemand2004 drinnen wohnen3427 wird.

10 Verflucht779 sei, der des HErrn3068 Werk4399 lässig7423 tut6213! Verflucht779 sei, der sein Schwert2719 aufhält, daß es nicht Blut1818 vergieße4513!

11 Moab4124 ist von seiner Jugend5271 auf8252 sicher gewesen7599 und auf5975 seinen Hefen8105 stille gelegen und ist nie7324 aus einem Faß3627 ins andere gegossen und nie ins Gefängnis1473 gezogen1980; darum ist sein Geschmack2940 ihm geblieben und sein Geruch7381 nicht verändert4171 worden.

12 Darum siehe, spricht5002 der HErr3068, es kommt die Zeit3117, daß ich ihnen will935 Schröter6808 schicken7971, die sie ausschroten sollen und ihre Fässer3627 ausleeren7324 und ihre Lägel zerschmettern5310.

13 Und Moab4124 soll über dem Kamos3645 zuschanden werden954, gleichwie das Haus1004 Israel3478 über Bethel zuschanden worden ist, darauf sie sich verließen4009.

14 Wie dürft ihr sagen559: Wir582 sind2428 die Helden1368 und die rechten Kriegsleute4421?

15 so doch Moab4124 muß verstöret und ihre4005 Städte5892 erstiegen5927 werden7703 und ihre beste Mannschaft970 zur Schlachtbank2874 herabgehen3381 müssen, spricht5002 der König4428, welcher heißt8034 der HErr3068 Zebaoth6635.

16 Denn der Unfall7451 Moabs4124 wird schier kommen935, und ihr Unglück343 eilet4116 sehr3966.

17 Lieber, habt doch Mitleid5110 mit ihnen, die ihr3045 um sie559 her5439 wohnet und ihren Namen8034 kennet, und sprechet: Wie ist die starke5797 Rute und der herrliche8597 Stab4294 so zerbrochen7665!

18 Herab3381 von der Herrlichkeit3519, du Tochter1323, die3427 du zu Dibon1769 wohnest3427, und7843 sitze in der Dürre6772! Denn der Verstörer7703 Moabs4124 wird zu dir hinaufkommen5927 und deine Festen4013 zerreißen.

19 Tritt auf5975 die3427 Straße1870 und1961 schaue6822, du559 Einwohnerin Aroers6177; frage7592 die, so da fliehen5127 und entrinnen4422, und sprich: Wie geht es?

20 Ach, Moab4124 ist verwüstet und verderbet, heulet3213 und schreiet2199! Sagt es3001 an5046 zu Arnon769, daß Moab4124 verstöret sei7703.

21 Die Strafe4941 ist935 über das ebene4334 Land776 gegangen, nämlich über Holon2473, Jahza3096, Mephaath4158,

22 Dibon1769, Nebo5015, Beth-Diblathaim1015,

23 Kiriathaim, Beth-Gamul1014, Beth-Meon1010,

24 Kirioth, Bazra und5892 über alle Städte7152 im Lande776 Moab4124, sie liegen ferne7350 oder nahe7138.

25 Das Horn7161 Moabs4124 ist abgehauen1438 und ihr Arm2220 ist zerbrochen7665, spricht5002 der HErr3068.

26 Machet sie trunken7937 (denn sie hat1431 sich wider den HErrn3068 erhaben), daß sie speien6892 und die Hände ringen5606 müsse, auf daß sie auch zum Gespött werde7814.

27 Denn Israel3478 hat4672 dein Gespött7814 sein müssen5110, als wäre er unter den Dieben1590 gefunden; und weil du solches1697 wider1767 sie redest, sollst du auch weg müssen.

28 O ihr5800 Einwohner3427 in6310 Moab4124, verlasset die3123 Städte5892 und wohnet in den Felsen5553; und tut wie die Tauben, so5676 da nisten7077 in den hohlen6354 Löchern.

29 Man hat8085 immer gesagt von dem stolzen1346 Moab4124, daß er3820 sehr3966 stolz1347 sei, hoffärtig1343, hochmütig, trotzig und übermütig7312.

30 Aber der HErr3068 spricht5002: Ich erkenne seinen Zorn5678 wohl, daß er907 nicht so viel vermag, und untersteht sich3045, mehr zu tun6213, denn sein Vermögen ist

31 Darum muß ich über Moab4124 heulen3213 und über das ganze Moab4124 schreien2199 und über die Leute582 zu Kir-Heres7025 klagen1897.

32 Ich muß über dich, Jaeser, du Weinstock1612 zu Sibma7643, weinen1058, denn deine Reben5189 sind über das Meer3220 gefahren und bis ans Meer3220 Jaeser kommen5674. Der Verstörer7703 ist5307 in deine Ernte7019 und Weinlese1210 gefallen.

33 Freude8057 und Wonne1524 ist aus dem Felde3759 weg622 und aus dem Lande776 Moab4124, und man1869 wird7673 keinen Wein3196 mehr keltern3342, der Weintreter wird nicht mehr sein Lied1959 singen

34 von des Geschreies2201 wegen zu Hesbon2809 bis gen Eleale500, welches6963 bis gen Jahza3096 erschallet, von Zoar6820 an, der dreijährigen Kuh5697, bis gen Horonaim2773; denn auch die Wasser4325 Nimrim5249 sollen versiegen4923.

35 Und430 ich will, spricht5002 der HErr3068, in Moab4124 damit ein Ende machen, daß sie nicht mehr auf7673 den Höhen1116 opfern und ihren Göttern räuchern6999 sollen5927.

36 Darum brummet mein Herz3820 über Moab4124 wie eine Trommete und über die Leute582 zu6213 Kir-Heres7025 brummet mein Herz3820 wie eine Trommete; denn sie6 haben‘s übermacht, darum müssen sie zu Boden gehen.

37 Alle Köpfe7218 werden1639 kahl7144 sein und alle Bärte2206 abgeschoren, aller Hände3027 zerritzt1417, und jedermann4975 wird Säcke8242 anziehen.

38 Auf allen Dächern1406 und Gassen7339, allenthalben in Moab4124 wird man klagen4553; denn ich habe2656 Moab4124 zerbrochen7665 wie ein unwertes Gefäß3627, spricht5002 der HErr3068.

39 O wie4124 ist sie verderbt2865, wie heulen3213 sie! Wie schändlich954 hängen sie die Köpfe! Und6203 Moab4124 ist zum Spott7814 und zum Schrecken4288 worden allen, so um6437 sie her5439 wohnen,

40 Denn so spricht559 der HErr3068: Siehe, er fleugt daher wie ein Adler5404 und breitet6566 seine Flügel3671 aus über Moab4124.

41 Kiriath ist gewonnen, und die festen4679 Städte7152 sind8610 eingenommen; und das Herz3820 der Helden1368 in Moab4124 wird3920 zur selbigen Zeit3117 sein wie einer802 Frauen Herz3820 in Kindesnöten6887.

42 Denn Moab4124 muß vertilget werden1431, daß sie kein Volk5971 mehr seien, darum daß es sich wider den HErrn3068 erhaben hat8045.

43 Furcht6343, Grube6354 und Strick6341 kommt über dich, du Einwohner3427 in Moab4124, spricht5002 der HErr3068.

44 Wer der Furcht6343 entfleucht, der wird3920 in6440 die Grube6354 fallen5307, und wer aus der Grube6354 kommt, der wird im Strick6341 gefangen werden5127; denn ich will935 über6486 Moab4124 kommen5927 lassen ein Jahr8141 ihrer Heimsuchung, spricht5002 der HErr3068.

45 Die aus3318 der Schlacht3581 entrinnen, werden5127 Zuflucht6738 suchen zu Hesbon2809; aber es wird ein Feuer784 aus996 Hesbon2809 und5975 eine Flamme3852 aus Sihon5511 gehen, welche die Örter6285 in Moab4124 und1121 die kriegerischen6936 Leute verzehren398 wird.

46 Wehe188 dir, Moab4124! Verloren6 ist3947 das Volk5971 Kamos3645; denn man hat deine Söhne1121 und Töchter1323 genommen und gefangen7628 weggeführet.

47 Aber in der zukünftigen Zeit3117 will7725 ich das Gefängnis7622 Moabs4124 wenden, spricht der HErr3068. Das sei2008 gesagt5002 von der Strafe4941 über Moab4124.
