2 Judah3063 mourneth,56 and the gates8179 thereof languish;535 they are black6937 unto the ground;776 and the cry6682 of Jerusalem3389 is gone up.5927

2 Juda3063 liegt jämmerlich56, ihre Tore8179 stehen elend535, es stehet kläglich6937 auf5927 dem Lande776, und ist zu Jerusalem3389 eine große Dürre.

3 And their nobles117 have sent7971 their little ones6810 to the waters:4325 they came935 to5921 the pits,1356 and found4672 no3808 water;4325 they returned7725 with their vessels3627 empty;7387 they were ashamed954 and confounded,3637 and covered2645 their heads.7218

3 Die Großen117 schicken7971 die Kleinen6810 nach Wasser4325; aber wenn sie zum Brunnen1356 kommen, finden4672 sie kein Wasser4325 und bringen ihre Gefäße3627 leer7387 wieder7725. Sie gehen935 traurig954 und betrübt3637 und verhüllen2645 ihre Häupter7218,

4 Because5668 the ground127 is chapped,2865 for3588 there was1961 no3808 rain1653 in the earth,776 the plowmen406 were ashamed,954 they covered2645 their heads.7218

4 darum daß die Erde127 lechzet, weil es nicht954 regnet1653 auf die Erde776. Die Ackerleute406 gehen2865 traurig und verhüllen2645 ihre Häupter7218.

5 Yea,1571 the hind365 also calved3205 in the field,7704 and forsook5800 it, because3588 there was1961 no3808 grass.1877

5 Denn auch die Hinden365, so auf dem Felde7704 werfen, verlassen5800 die Jungen3205, weil kein Gras1877 wächst.

6 And the wild asses6501 did stand5975 in5921 the high places,8205 they snuffed up7602 the wind7307 like dragons;8577 their eyes5869 did fail,3615 because3588 there was no369 grass.6212

6 Das Wild6501 stehet auf5975 den Hügeln8205 und7307 schnappet nach der Luft, wie die Drachen8577, und5869 verschmachtet3615, weil kein Kraut6212 wächst.

7 O LORD,3068 though518 our iniquities5771 testify6030 against us, do6213 thou it for thy name's sake:4616 8034 for3588 our backslidings4878 are many;7231 we have sinned2398 against thee.

7 Ach, HErr3068, unsere Missetaten5771 haben‘s2398 ja verdienet; aber hilf doch um deines Namens8034 willen; denn unser Ungehorsam4878 ist6213 groß7231, damit wir wider dich gesündiget haben.

8 O the hope4723 of Israel,3478 the savior3467 thereof in time6256 of trouble,6869 why4100 shouldest thou be1961 as a stranger1616 in the land,776 and as a wayfaring man732 that turneth aside5186 to tarry3885 for a night?

8 Du bist der Trost4723 Israels3478 und6256 ihr Nothelfer3467; warum stellest du dich, als wärest du ein Gast732 im Lande776, und als ein Fremder1616, der nur über Nacht3885 drinnen bleibt5186?

9 Why4100 shouldest thou be1961 as a man376 astonished,1724 as a mighty man1368 that cannot3201 3808 save?3467 yet thou,859 O LORD,3068 art in the midst7130 of us, and we are called7121 by thy name;8034 leave5117 us not.408

9 Warum stellest du dich als ein376 Held, der verzagt1724 ist, und3068 als ein Riese, der nicht helfen3467 kann3201? Du bist doch ja unter7130 uns, HErr1368, und wir heißen7121 nach deinem Namen8034; verlaß3240 uns nicht!

10 Thus3541 saith559 the LORD3068 unto this2088 people,5971 Thus3651 have they loved157 to wander,5128 they have not3808 refrained2820 their feet,7272 therefore the LORD3068 doth not3808 accept7521 them; he will now6258 remember2142 their iniquity,5771 and visit6485 their sins.2403

10 So spricht der HErr3068 von diesem Volk5971: Sie559 laufen gerne157 hin und wieder5128 und bleiben7272 nicht2820 gerne daheim; darum will ihrer der HErr3068 nicht7521, sondern er denkt nun an2142 ihre Missetat5771 und will ihre Sünden2403 heimsuchen6485.

11 Then said559 the LORD3068 unto413 me, Pray6419 not408 for1157 this2088 people5971 for their good.2896

11 Und der HErr3068 sprach559 zu mir: Du sollst nicht für dies Volk5971 um Gnade2896 bitten6419.
|

12 When3588 they fast,6684 I will not369 hear8085 413 their cry;7440 and when3588 they offer5927 burnt offering5930 and an oblation,4503 I will not369 accept7521 them: but3588 I595 will consume3615 them by the sword,2719 and by the famine,7458 and by the pestilence.1698

12 Denn ob sie gleich fasten6684, so will ich doch ihr Flehen7440 nicht5927 hören8085; und ob sie Brandopfer5930 und Speisopfer4503 bringen3615, so gefallen7521 sie mir doch nicht, sondern ich will sie mit dem Schwert2719, Hunger7458 und Pestilenz1698 aufreiben.

13 Then said559 I, Ah,162 Lord136 GOD!3069 behold,2009 the prophets5030 say559 unto them, Ye shall not3808 see7200 the sword,2719 neither3808 shall ye have1961 famine;7458 but3588 I will give5414 you assured571 peace7965 in this2088 place.4725

13 Da sprach559 ich: Ach162, HErr136 HErr3069, siehe, die Propheten5030 sagen559 ihnen: Ihr werdet kein Schwert2719 sehen und keine Teurung bei euch haben, sondern ich will euch guten571 Frieden7965 geben5414 an7200 diesem Ort4725.

14 Then the LORD3068 said559 unto413 me, The prophets5030 prophesy5012 lies8267 in my name:8034 I sent7971 them not,3808 neither3808 have I commanded6680 them, neither3808 spoke1696 unto413 them: they1992 prophesy5012 unto you a false8267 vision2377 and divination,7081 and a thing of naught,434 and the deceit8649 of their heart.3820

14 Und457 der HErr3068 sprach559 zu mir: Die Propheten5030 weissagen5012 falsch8267 in meinem Namen8034; ich habe1696 sie6680 nicht gesandt7971 und ihnen nichts befohlen und nichts mit ihnen geredet; sie predigen euch falsche8267 Gesichte2377, Deutung, Abgötterei und ihres Herzens3820 Trügerei8649.

15 Therefore3651 thus3541 saith559 the LORD3068 concerning5921 the prophets5030 that prophesy5012 in my name,8034 and I589 sent7971 them not,3808 yet they1992 say,559 Sword2719 and famine7458 shall not3808 be1961 in this2063 land;776 By sword2719 and famine7458 shall those1992 prophets5030 be consumed.8552

15 Darum so spricht der HErr3068 von den Propheten5030, die in meinem Namen8034 weissagen5012, so ich sie559 doch nicht gesandt7971 habe, und8552 sie559 dennoch predigen, es werde kein Schwert2719 noch Teurung in dies Land776 kommen: Solche Propheten5030 sollen sterben durch Schwert2719 und Hunger7458.

16 And the people5971 to whom834 they1992 prophesy5012 shall be1961 cast out7993 in the streets2351 of Jerusalem3389 because4480 6440 of the famine7458 and the sword;2719 and they shall have none369 to bury6912 them,1992 them,1992 their wives,802 nor their sons,1121 nor their daughters:1323 for I will pour8210 853 their wickedness7451 upon5921 them.

16 Und das Volk5971, dem sie1992 weissagen5012, sollen vom Schwert2719 und Hunger7458 auf6440 den Gassen2351 zu Jerusalem3389 hin und her liegen7993, daß sie niemand begraben6912 wird; also auch ihre Weiber802, Söhne1121 und Töchter1323; und will ihre Bosheit7451 über sie schütten8210.

17 Therefore thou shalt say559 853 this2088 word1697 unto413 them; Let mine eyes5869 run down3381 with tears1832 night3915 and day,3119 and let them not408 cease:1820 for3588 the virgin1330 daughter1323 of my people5971 is broken7665 with a great1419 breach,7667 with a very3966 grievous2470 blow.4347

17 Und du sollst zu3966 ihnen sagen559 dies Wort1697: Meine Augen5869 fließen mit Tränen1832 Tag3119 und Nacht3915 und hören nicht auf1820; denn die3381 Jungfrau1330, die Tochter1323 meines Volks5971, ist7667 greulich1419 zerplagt4347 und jämmerlich2470 geschlagen7665.

18 If518 I go forth3318 into the field,7704 then behold2009 the slain2491 with the sword!2719 and if518 I enter935 into the city,5892 then behold2009 them that are sick8463 with famine!7458 yea,3588 both1571 the prophet5030 and1571 the priest3548 go about5503 into413 a land776 that they know3045 not.3808

18 Gehe935 ich hinaus3318 aufs Feld, siehe, so liegen da Erschlagene2491 mit dem Schwert2719; komme ich in die Stadt5892, so liegen da vor Hunger7458 Verschmachtete8463. Denn es müssen auch die Propheten5030, dazu auch die Priester3548, in ein Land7704 ziehen5503, das776 sie nicht kennen3045.

19 Hast thou utterly rejected3988 3988 853 Judah?3063 hath thy soul5315 loathed1602 Zion?6726 why4069 hast thou smitten5221 us, and there is no369 healing4832 for us? we looked6960 for peace,7965 and there is no369 good;2896 and for the time6256 of healing,4832 and behold2009 trouble!1205

19 Hast3988 du5221 denn Juda3063 verworfen3988, oder hat deine See LE5315 einen Ekel1602 an Zion6726? Warum hast du uns denn so geschlagen, daß uns niemand heilen4832 kann? Wir hofften6960, es sollte Friede werden4832, so kommt nichts Gutes7965; wir hofften, wir sollten heil werden, aber siehe1205, so ist mehr Schadens da6256.

20 We acknowledge,3045 O LORD,3068 our wickedness,7562 and the iniquity5771 of our fathers:1 for3588 we have sinned2398 against thee.

20 HErr3068, wir erkennen3045 unser gottlos7562 Wesen und unserer Väter1 Missetat5771; denn wir haben2398 wider dich gesündiget.

21 Do not408 abhor5006 us, for thy name's sake,4616 8034 do not408 disgrace5034 the throne3678 of thy glory:3519 remember,2142 break6565 not408 thy covenant1285 with854 us.
|
21 Aber um deines Namens willen laß uns nicht geschändet5006 werden5034; laß den8034 Thron3678 deiner Herrlichkeit3519 nicht verspottet werden; gedenke2142 doch und laß deinen Bund1285 mit uns nicht aufhören6565!

22 Are there3426 any among the vanities1892 of the Gentiles1471 that can cause rain?1652 or518 can the heavens8064 give5414 showers?7241 art not3808 thou859 he,1931 O LORD3068 our God?430 therefore we will wait6960 upon thee: for3588 thou859 hast made6213 853 all3605 these428 things.

22 Es ist3426 doch ja unter der Heiden1471 Götzen1892 keiner, der Regen1652 könnte geben5414; so kann der Himmel8064 auch nicht regnen7241. Du bist doch ja der HErr3068, unser GOtt430, auf den wir hoffen6960; denn du kannst solches alles tun6213.
