1 At1722 that time2540 Jesus2424 went4198 on the sabbath4521 day through1223 the corn;4702 and his disciples3101 were an hungered,3983 and began756 to pluck5089 the ears4719 of corn 4719and to eat.2068

2 But when the Pharisees5330 saw1492 it, they said2036 to him, Behold,2400 your disciples3101 do4160 that which3739 is not lawful1832 to do4160 on the sabbath4521 day.

3 But he said2036 to them, Have you not read314 what5101 David1138 did,4160 when3753 he was an hungered,3983 and they that were with him;

4 How4459 he entered1525 into1519 the house3624 of God,2316 and did eat5315 the show bread,740 4286 which3739 was not lawful1832 for him to eat,5315 neither3761 for them which were with him, but only3441 for the priests?2409

5 Or2228 have you not read314 in the law,3551 how that on the sabbath4521 days the priests2409 in the temple2411 profane953 the sabbath,4521 and are blameless?338

6 But I say3004 to you, That in this5602 place5602 is one greater3187 than the temple.2411

7 But if1487 you had known1097 what5101 this means,2076 I will2309 have mercy,1656 and not sacrifice,2378 you would not have condemned2613 the guiltless.338

8 For the Son5207 of man444 is Lord2962 even2532 of the sabbath4521 day.

9 And when3753 he was departed3327 there,1564 he went2064 into1519 their synagogue:4864

10 And, behold,2400 there was a man444 which had2192 his hand5495 withered.3584 And they asked1905 him, saying,3004 Is it lawful1832 to heal2323 on the sabbath4521 days? that they might accuse2723 him.

11 And he said2036 to them, What5101 man444 shall there be among1537 you, that shall have2192 one1520 sheep,4263 and if1437 it fall1706 into1519 a pit999 on the sabbath4521 day, will he not lay hold2902 on it, and lift1453 it out?

12 How4214 much4214 then3767 is a man444 better1308 than a sheep?4263 Why5620 it is lawful1832 to do4160 well2573 on the sabbath4521 days.

13 Then5119 said3004 he to the man,444 Stretch1614 forth1614 your4675 hand.5495 And he stretched1614 it forth;1614 and it was restored600 whole,5199 like5613 as the other.243

14 Then1161 the Pharisees5330 went1831 out, and held2983 a council4824 against2596 him, how3704 they might destroy622 him.

15 But when3753 Jesus2424 knew1097 it, he withdrew402 himself from there:1564 and great4183 multitudes3793 followed190 him, and he healed2323 them all;3956

16 And charged2008 them that they should not make4160 him known:5318

17 That it might be fulfilled4137 which3588 was spoken4483 by Esaias2268 the prophet,4396 saying,3004

18 Behold2400 my servant,3816 whom3739 I have chosen;140 my beloved,27 in whom3739 my soul5590 is well2106 pleased:2106 I will put5087 my spirit4151 on him, and he shall show518 judgment2920 to the Gentiles.1484

19 He shall not strive,2051 nor3761 cry;2905 neither3761 shall any5100 man hear191 his voice5456 in the streets.4113

20 A bruised4937 reed2563 shall he not break,2608 and smoking5187 flax3043 shall he not quench,4570 till2193 he send1544 forth1544 judgment2920 to victory.3534

21 And in his name3686 shall the Gentiles1484 trust.1679

22 Then5119 was brought4374 to him one possessed1139 with a devil,1139 blind,5185 and dumb:2974 and he healed2323 him, so5620 that the blind5185 and dumb2974 both2532 spoke2980 and saw.991

23 And all3956 the people3793 were amazed,1839 and said,3004 Is not this3778 the son5207 of David?1138

24 But when the Pharisees5330 heard191 it, they said,2036 This3778 fellow does not cast1544 out devils,1140 but by Beelzebub954 the prince758 of the devils.1140

25 And Jesus2424 knew1492 their thoughts,1761 and said2036 to them, Every3956 kingdom932 divided3307 against2596 itself1438 is brought2049 to desolation;2049 and every3956 city4172 or2228 house3614 divided3307 against2596 itself1438 shall not stand:2476

26 And if1487 Satan4567 cast1544 out Satan,4567 he is divided3307 against1909 himself;1438 how4459 shall then3767 his kingdom932 stand?2476

27 And if1487 I by Beelzebub954 cast1544 out devils,1140 by whom5101 do your5216 children5207 cast1544 them out? therefore1223 5124 they shall be your5216 judges.2923

28 But if1487 I cast1544 out devils1140 by the Spirit4151 of God,2316 then686 the kingdom932 of God2316 is come5348 to you.

29 Or2228 else how4459 can1410 one5100 enter1525 into1519 a strong2478 man's house,3614 and spoil1283 his goods,4632 except3362 he first4412 bind1210 the strong2478 man? and then5119 he will spoil1283 his house.3614

30 He that is not with me is against2596 me; and he that gathers4863 not with me scatters4650 abroad.4650

31 Why1223 5124 I say3004 to you, All3956 manner of sin266 and blasphemy988 shall be forgiven863 to men:444 but the blasphemy988 against the Holy Ghost4151 shall not be forgiven863 to men.444

32 And whoever3739 302 speaks2036 a word3056 against2596 the Son5207 of man,444 it shall be forgiven863 him: but whoever3739 302 speaks2036 against2596 the Holy40 Ghost,4151 it shall not be forgiven863 him, neither3777 in this5129 world,165 neither3777 in the world to come.3195

33 Either2228 make4160 the tree1186 good,2570 and his fruit2590 good;2570 or2228 else make4160 the tree1186 corrupt,4550 and his fruit2590 corrupt:4550 for the tree1186 is known1097 by his fruit.2590

34 O generation1081 of vipers,2191 how4459 can1410 you, being5607 evil,4190 speak2980 good18 things? for out of the abundance4051 of the heart2588 the mouth4750 speaks.2980

35 A good18 man444 out of the good18 treasure2344 of the heart2588 brings1544 forth1544 good18 things: and an evil4190 man444 out of the evil4190 treasure2344 brings1544 forth evil4190 things.

36 But I say3004 to you, That every3956 idle692 word4487 that men444 shall speak,2980 they shall give591 account3056 thereof4012 846 in the day2250 of judgment.2920

37 For by your words3056 you shall be justified,1344 and by your words3056 you shall be condemned.2613

38 Then5119 certain5100 of the scribes1122 and of the Pharisees5330 answered,611 saying,3004 Master,1320 we would2309 see1492 a sign4592 from you.

39 But he answered611 and said2036 to them, An evil4190 and adulterous3428 generation1074 seeks1934 after1934 a sign;4592 and there shall no3756 sign4592 be given1325 to it, but the sign4592 of the prophet4396 Jonas:2495

40 For as Jonas2495 was three5140 days2250 and three5140 nights3571 in the whale's2785 belly;2836 so3779 shall the Son5207 of man444 be three5140 days2250 and three5140 nights3571 in the heart2588 of the earth.1093

41 The men435 of Nineveh3536 shall rise450 in judgment2920 with this5026 generation,1074 and shall condemn2632 it: because3754 they repented3340 at1519 the preaching2782 of Jonas;2495 and, behold,2400 a greater4119 than Jonas2495 is here.5602

42 The queen938 of the south3558 shall rise1453 up in the judgment2920 with this5026 generation,1074 and shall condemn2632 it: for she came2064 from the uttermost4009 parts of the earth1093 to hear191 the wisdom4678 of Solomon;4672 and, behold,2400 a greater4119 than Solomon4672 is here.5602

43 When3752 the unclean169 spirit4151 is gone1831 out of a man,444 he walks1330 through1223 dry504 places,5117 seeking2212 rest,372 and finds2147 none.3756

44 Then5119 he said,3004 I will return1994 into1519 my house3624 from where3606 I came1831 out; and when he is come,2064 he finds2147 it empty,4980 swept,4563 and garnished.2885

45 Then5119 goes4198 he, and takes3880 with himself1438 seven2033 other2087 spirits4151 more wicked4191 than himself,1438 and they enter1525 in and dwell2730 there:1563 and the last2078 state of that man444 is worse5501 than the first.4413 Even so3779 shall it be also2532 to this5026 wicked4190 generation.1074

46 While he yet2089 talked2980 to the people,3793 behold,2400 his mother3384 and his brothers80 stood2476 without,1854 desiring2212 to speak2980 with him.

47 Then5119 one5100 said2036 to him, Behold,2400 your mother3384 and your brothers80 stand2476 without,1854 desiring2212 to speak2980 with you.

48 But he answered611 and said2036 to him that told2036 him, Who5101 is my mother?3384 and who5101 are my brothers?

49 And he stretched1614 forth1614 his hand5495 toward1909 his disciples,3101 and said,2036 Behold2400 my mother3384 and my brothers!80

50 For whoever3748 302 shall do4160 the will2307 of my Father3962 which3588 is in heaven,3772 the same846 is my brother,80 and sister,79 and mother.3384

2 Побачили ж це фарисеї, та й кажуть Йому: „Он учні Твої роблять те, чого не годиться робити в суботу“.

3 А Він відповів їм: „Чи ж ви не читали, що́ зробив був Давид, коли сам зголоднів і ті, хто був із ним?

4 Як він увійшов до Божого дому, і спожив хліби́ показні́, яких їсти не можна було ні йому, ані тим, хто був із ним, а тільки самим священикам?

5 Або ви не читали в Зако́ні що в суботу священики пору́шують суботу у храмі, — і невинні вони?

6 А Я вам кажу́, що тут Більший, як храм!

7 Коли б знали ви, що́ то є: „Милости хо́чу, а не жертви“, то ви не судили б невинних.

8 Бо Син Лю́дський Госпо́дь і суботі“!

9 І, вийшовши звідти, прибув Він до їхньої синагоги.

10 І ото, був там чоловік, що мав суху руку. І, щоб обвини́ти Ісуса, запитали Його: „Чи вздоровляти годи́ться в суботу?“

11 А Він їм сказав: „Чи зна́йде́ться між вами люди́на, яка, одну мавши вівцю́, не пі́де по неї, і не врятує її, як вона впаде в яму в суботу?

12 А скільки ж люди́на вартніша за тую овечку! Тому́ можна чинити добро й у суботу“!

13 І каже тоді чоловікові: „Простягни свою руку!“ Той простяг, — і стала здорова вона, як і друга.

14 Фарисеї ж пішли, і зібрали нараду на Нього, — я́к би Його погубити?

15 А Ісус, розізнавши, пішов Собі звідти. Ісус уздоровля́є недужих І багато пішло вслід за Ним, — і Він їх уздоро́вив усіх.

16 А Він наказав їм суво́ро Його не виявляти,

17 щоб спра́вдилось те, що́ сказав був Ісая пророк, промовляючи:

18 „Ото Мій Слуга, що Я вибрав Його, Мій Улю́блений, що Його полюбила душа Моя! Вкладу́ Свого Духа в Нього, — і Він суд проголо́сить поганам.

19 Він не буде змагатися, ані кричати, і на вулицях чути не буде ніхто Його голосу.

20 Він очерети́ни надло́мленої не доло́мить, і ґнота́ догасаючого не пога́сить, поки не допровадить при́суду до перемоги.

21 І погани наді́ятись будуть на Йме́ння Його“!

22 Тоді привели́ до Ньо́го німого сліпця́, що був біснуватий, — і Він уздоро́вив його, так що німий став говорити та бачити.

23 І дивувались усі люди й казали: „Чи ж не Син це Давидів?“

24 Фарисеї ж, почувши, сказали: „Він де́монів не виганяє інакше, тільки як Вельзеву́лом, князем де́монів“.

25 А Він знав думки їхні, і промовив до них: „Кожне царство, поділене супроти себе, запусті́є. І кожне місто чи дім, поділені супроти себе, не втри́маються.

26 І коли сатана́ сатану́ виганяє, то ділиться супроти себе; як же втри́мається царство його?

27 І коли Вельзевулом виганя́ю Я де́монів, то ким виганя́ють сини ваші? Тому́ вони стануть вам су́ддями.

28 А коли ж Духом Божим виго́ню Я де́монів, то настало для вас Царство Боже.

29 Або я́к то хто може вде́ртися в дім дужого, та пограбувати добро́ його, якщо перше не зв'яже дужого? І аж тоді він госпо́ду його пограбує.

30 Хто не зо Мною, той супроти Мене; і хто не збирає зо Мною, той розкида́є.

31 Тому́ то кажу́ вам: усякий гріх, навіть богозневага, про́ститься лю́дям, але богозневага на Духа не про́ститься!

32 І як скаже хто слово на Лю́дського Сина, то йому́ проститься те; а коли скаже проти Духа Святого, — не про́ститься того йому ані в цім віці, ані в майбу́тнім!

33 Або ви́ростіть дерево добре, то й плід його добрий, або ви́ростіть дерево зле, то й плід його злий. Пізнається бо дерево з пло́ду!

34 Ро́де змії́ний! Як ви можете мовити добре, бувши злі? Бо чим серце напо́внене, те говорять уста́.

35 Добра люди́на з доброго ска́рбу добре виносить, а лукава люди́на зо скарбу лихого виносить лихе́.

36 Кажу́ ж вам, що за кожне слово пусте, яке скажуть люди, дадуть вони відповідь судного дня!

37 Бо зо слів своїх будеш випра́вданий, і зо слів своїх будеш засу́джений“.

38 Тоді дехто із книжників та фарисеїв озвались до Нього й сказали: „Учителю, — хочемо побачити озна́ку від Те́бе“.

39 А Ісус відповів їм: „Рід лукавий і перелю́бний шукає ознаки, — та ознаки йому не дадуть, окрім ознаки пророка Йо́ни.

40 Як Йо́на перебув у сере́дині китовій три дні і три ночі, так перебу́де три дні та три ночі й Син Лю́дський у серці землі.

41 Ніневі́тяни стануть на суд із цим родом, — і осудять його, вони бо покаялися через Йо́нину проповідь. А тут ото Більший, ніж Йо́на!

42 Цариця з пі́вдня на суд стане з родом оцим, — і засу́дить його, бо вона з кінця світу прийшла Соломонову мудрість послу́хати. А тут ото Більший, аніж Соломон!

43 А коли дух нечистий виходить із люди́ни, то блукає місцями безвідними, відпочинку шукаючи, та не знахо́дить.

44 Тоді він говорить: „Вернуся до дому свого́, звідки вийшов“. А як ве́рнеться він, то хату знахо́дить порожню, заметену й при́брану.

45 Тоді він іде, та й приводить сімох духів інших, лютіших за себе, — і входять вони та й живуть тут. І буде останнє люди́ні тій гірше за перше... Так буде й лукавому родові цьому́!“

46 Коли Він іще промовляв до наро́ду, аж ось мати й брати Його о́сторонь стали, бажаючи з Ним говорити.

47 І сказав хтось Йому́: „Ото мати Твоя й Твої бра́ття стоять онде о́сторонь, і говорити з Тобою бажають“.

48 А Він відповів тому́, хто Йому говорив, і сказав: „Хто́ мати Моя? І хто́ браття Мої?“

49 І, показавши рукою Своєю на у́чнів Своїх, Він промовив: „Ото Моя мати та браття Мої!

50 Бо хто волю Мого Отця, що на небі, чини́тиме, той Мені брат, і сестра, і мати!“

31 Тому́ то кажу́ вам: усякий гріх, навіть богозневага, про́ститься лю́дям, але богозневага на Духа не про́ститься!

32 І як скаже хто слово на Лю́дського Сина, то йому́ проститься те; а коли скаже проти Духа Святого, — не про́ститься того йому ані в цім віці, ані в майбу́тнім!

33 Або ви́ростіть дерево добре, то й плід його добрий, або ви́ростіть дерево зле, то й плід його злий. Пізнається бо дерево з пло́ду!

34 O generation1081 of vipers,2191 how4459 can1410 you, being5607 evil,4190 speak2980 good18 things? for out of the abundance4051 of the heart2588 the mouth4750 speaks.2980

34 Ро́де змії́ний! Як ви можете мовити добре, бувши злі? Бо чим серце напо́внене, те говорять уста́.

35 Добра люди́на з доброго ска́рбу добре виносить, а лукава люди́на зо скарбу лихого виносить лихе́.

42 Цариця з пі́вдня на суд стане з родом оцим, — і засу́дить його, бо вона з кінця світу прийшла Соломонову мудрість послу́хати. А тут ото Більший, аніж Соломон!

43 А коли дух нечистий виходить із люди́ни, то блукає місцями безвідними, відпочинку шукаючи, та не знахо́дить.

44 Then5119 he said,3004 I will return1994 into1519 my house3624 from where3606 I came1831 out; and when he is come,2064 he finds2147 it empty,4980 swept,4563 and garnished.2885

44 Тоді він говорить: „Вернуся до дому свого́, звідки вийшов“. А як ве́рнеться він, то хату знахо́дить порожню, заметену й при́брану.

47 І сказав хтось Йому́: „Ото мати Твоя й Твої бра́ття стоять онде о́сторонь, і говорити з Тобою бажають“.

48 But he answered611 and said2036 to him that told2036 him, Who5101 is my mother?3384 and who5101 are my brothers?

48 А Він відповів тому́, хто Йому говорив, і сказав: „Хто́ мати Моя? І хто́ браття Мої?“
