2 Hear8085 you the words1697 of this2088 covenant,1285 and speak1696 to the men376 of Judah,3063 and to the inhabitants3427 of Jerusalem;3389

3 And say559 you to them, Thus3541 said559 the LORD3068 God430 of Israel;3478 Cursed779 be the man376 that obeys8085 not the words1697 of this2088 covenant,1285

4 Which834 I commanded6680 your fathers1 in the day3117 that I brought3318 them forth3318 out of the land776 of Egypt,4714 from the iron1270 furnace,3564 saying,559 Obey8085 my voice,6963 and do6213 them, according to all3605 which834 I command6680 you: so shall you be my people,5971 and I will be your God:430

5 That I may perform6965 the oath7621 which834 I have sworn7650 to your fathers,1 to give5414 them a land776 flowing2100 with milk2461 and honey,1706 as it is this2088 day.3117 Then answered6030 I, and said,559 So543 be it, O LORD.3068

6 Then the LORD3068 said559 to me, Proclaim7121 all3605 these428 words1697 in the cities5892 of Judah,3063 and in the streets2351 of Jerusalem,3389 saying,559 Hear8085 you the words1697 of this2088 covenant,1285 and do6213 them.

7 For I earnestly protested5749 to your fathers1 in the day3117 that I brought5927 them up out of the land776 of Egypt,4714 even to this2088 day,3117 rising7925 early7925 and protesting,5749 saying,559 Obey8085 my voice.6963

8 Yet they obeyed8085 not, nor3808 inclined5186 their ear,241 but walked3212 every376 one376 in the imagination8307 of their evil7451 heart:3820 therefore I will bring935 on them all3605 the words1697 of this2088 covenant,1285 which834 I commanded6680 them to do:6213 but they did6213 them not.

9 And the LORD3068 said559 to me, A conspiracy7195 is found4672 among the men376 of Judah,3063 and among the inhabitants3427 of Jerusalem.3389

10 They are turned7725 back7725 to the iniquities5771 of their forefathers,1 7223 which834 refused3985 to hear8085 my words;1697 and they went1980 after310 other312 gods430 to serve5647 them: the house1004 of Israel3478 and the house1004 of Judah3063 have broken6565 my covenant1285 which834 I made3772 with their fathers.1

11 Therefore3651 thus3541 said559 the LORD,3068 Behold,2005 I will bring935 evil7451 on them, which834 they shall not be able3201 to escape;3318 and though they shall cry2199 to me, I will not listen8085 to them.

12 Then shall the cities5892 of Judah3063 and inhabitants3427 of Jerusalem3389 go,1980 and cry2199 to the gods430 to whom834 1992 they offer incense:6999 but they shall not save3467 them at all in the time6256 of their trouble.7451

13 For according to the number4557 of your cities5892 were your gods,430 O Judah;3063 and according to the number4557 of the streets2351 of Jerusalem3389 have you set7760 up altars4196 to that shameful1322 thing, even altars4196 to burn6999 incense6999 to Baal.1168

14 Therefore pray6419 not you for this2088 people,5971 neither408 lift5375 up a cry7440 or prayer8605 for them: for I will not hear8085 them in the time6256 that they cry7121 to me for their trouble.7451

15 What4100 has my beloved3039 to do in my house,1004 seeing she has worked6213 lewdness4209 with many,7227 and the holy6944 flesh1320 is passed5674 from you? when3588 you do evil,7451 then227 you rejoice.5937

16 The LORD3068 called7121 your name,8034 A green7488 olive2132 tree, fair,3303 and of goodly3303 8389 fruit:6529 with the noise6963 of a great1419 tumult1999 he has kindled3341 fire784 on it, and the branches1808 of it are broken.7489

17 For the LORD3068 of hosts,6635 that planted5193 you, has pronounced1696 evil7451 against5921 you, for the evil7451 of the house1004 of Israel3478 and of the house1004 of Judah,3063 which834 they have done6213 against themselves1992 to provoke me to anger3707 in offering incense6999 to Baal.1168

18 And the LORD3068 has given me knowledge3045 of it, and I know3045 it: then227 you showed7200 me their doings.4611

19 But I was like a lamb3532 or an ox441 that is brought2986 to the slaughter;2873 and I knew3045 not that they had devised2803 devices4284 against5921 me, saying, Let us destroy7843 the tree6086 with the fruit3899 thereof, and let us cut3772 him off from the land776 of the living,2416 that his name8034 may be no3808 more5750 remembered.2142

20 But, O LORD3068 of hosts,6635 that judge8199 righteously,6664 that try974 the reins3629 and the heart,3820 let me see7200 your vengeance5360 on them: for to you have I revealed1540 my cause.7379

21 Therefore3651 thus3541 said559 the LORD3068 of the men582 of Anathoth,6068 that seek1245 your life,5315 saying,559 Prophesy5012 not in the name8034 of the LORD,3068 that you die4191 not by our hand:3027

22 Therefore3651 thus3541 said559 the LORD3068 of hosts,6635 Behold,2005 I will punish6485 them: the young970 men shall die4191 by the sword;2719 their sons1121 and their daughters1323 shall die4191 by famine:7458

23 And there shall be no3808 remnant7611 of them: for I will bring935 evil7451 on the men582 of Anathoth,6068 even the year8141 of their visitation.6486

2 „Послухайте слів заповіту оцьо́го, і будете їх говорити юдеям і ме́шканцям Єрусалиму,

3 і скажеш ти їм: Так говорить Господь, Бог Ізраїлів: Про́клята та люди́на, що не слухає слів заповіту цього́,

4 що його наказав був Я вашим батька́м того дня, коли їх виво́див із кра́ю єгипетського, із залізного го́рна, говорячи: Слухайтеся Мого голосу, і робіть усе те, що Я накажу́ вам, — і бу́дете ви народом Моїм, а Я бу́ду вам Богом,

5 щоб Я ви́повнив при́сягу ту, якою Я вашим батька́м присяга́в дати їм Край, що тече молоком, як сьогодні! А я відповів та сказав: Амі́нь, Господи!

6 І промовив до мене Госпо́дь: Виголо́шуй оці всі слова́ по юдейських міста́х та на вулицях Єрусалиму, говорячи: Слухайтесь слів заповіту цього́, і вико́нуйте їх!

7 Бо направду засвідчив Я вашим батька́м того дня, як виводив їх з кра́ю єгипетського, і до сьогодні Я пильно засві́дчую, кажучи: Слу́хайтеся Мого голосу!

8 Та не слухали й не прихиляли вони свого вуха, і кожен ходив за упе́ртістю злі́сного серця свого. І Я спровадив на них усі слова заповіту цього, що Я наказав був робити, вони ж не робили.

9 І промовив до мене Господь: Зна́йдений бунт між юдеями та між мешка́нцями Єрусалиму!

10 Повернулись вони до гріхів своїх давніх батькі́в, що слухатися Моїх слів не хотіли, і пішли за бога́ми чужими, щоб їм служити. Дім Ізраїлів і дім Юдин зламали Мого заповіта, якого Я склав з їхніми батька́ми.

11 Тому так промовляє Госпо́дь: Ось Я лихо на них наведу́, що вийти із нього не змо́жуть, і кли́кати бу́дуть до Мене, але не почую Я їх!

12 І пі́дуть юдейські міста́ та єрусалимські мешканці, і бу́дуть кричати до богів, що їм ка́дять вони, але ті помогти́ — не помо́жуть їм за ча́су їхнього лиха!

13 Бо богів твоїх — за числом твоїх міст, Юдо, і за числом вулиць Єрусалиму наста́влено же́ртівників для Моло́ха, же́ртівників, щоб кади́ти Ваалові.

14 А ти не молися за цього наро́да, і блага́ння й молитви за них не здійма́й, бо Я не почую за ча́су того́, коли кли́кати будуть до Мене з-за лиха свого́!

15 По́що Моєму коханому в домі Моєму чинити злі за́міри? Чи то́всті куски́ і м'ясо посвя́тне відве́рнуть від тебе нещастя твоє? Тоді б ти радів!

16 „Оли́вка зелена, гарна пло́дом хорошим“, — так кликнув Господь твоє йме́ння. Але з шумом великого вітру огонь запали́вся круг неї, і галу́зки її полама́ються!

17 А Господь Саваот, що тебе посадив, говорив був на тебе лихе за зло дому Ізраїля та дому Юди, що робили собі, щоб гніви́ти Мене, щоб кади́ти Ваа́лові.

18 А Господь дав пізна́ти мені — й я пізнав, і тоді Ти вчинив, що побачив я їхні діла́.

19 А я був, мов лагі́дна вівця́, що прова́дять її на зако́лення, і не знав, що на мене вони вимишля́ли заті́ї: „Пони́щмо це дерево з пло́дом його, і з кра́ю живих його ви́тнім, і йме́ння його не згадається більше!“

20 Але, Господи Саваоте, Ти Суддя сраведливий, що досліджуєш ни́рки та серце, — хай над ними побачу я по́мсту Твою, бо справу свою я дові́рив Тобі!

21 Тому так промовляє Господь на людей Анато́ту, що пошу́кують душу твою та говорять: „Не пророкуй Ім'я́м Господа, щоб не померти тобі від рук наших!“

22 Тому так промовляє Господь Савао́т: Ось Я навіщу́ їх: від меча юнаки́ повмирають, а сини їхні та їхні до́чки від голоду вмруть!

23 І оста́нку не буде по них, бо спрова́джу Я зло на людей Анато́ту у році наві́щення їх!

3 і скажеш ти їм: Так говорить Господь, Бог Ізраїлів: Про́клята та люди́на, що не слухає слів заповіту цього́,

4 що його наказав був Я вашим батька́м того дня, коли їх виво́див із кра́ю єгипетського, із залізного го́рна, говорячи: Слухайтеся Мого голосу, і робіть усе те, що Я накажу́ вам, — і бу́дете ви народом Моїм, а Я бу́ду вам Богом,

5 щоб Я ви́повнив при́сягу ту, якою Я вашим батька́м присяга́в дати їм Край, що тече молоком, як сьогодні! А я відповів та сказав: Амі́нь, Господи!

6 І промовив до мене Госпо́дь: Виголо́шуй оці всі слова́ по юдейських міста́х та на вулицях Єрусалиму, говорячи: Слухайтесь слів заповіту цього́, і вико́нуйте їх!

7 Бо направду засвідчив Я вашим батька́м того дня, як виводив їх з кра́ю єгипетського, і до сьогодні Я пильно засві́дчую, кажучи: Слу́хайтеся Мого голосу!

8 Та не слухали й не прихиляли вони свого вуха, і кожен ходив за упе́ртістю злі́сного серця свого. І Я спровадив на них усі слова заповіту цього, що Я наказав був робити, вони ж не робили.

9 І промовив до мене Господь: Зна́йдений бунт між юдеями та між мешка́нцями Єрусалиму!

10 Повернулись вони до гріхів своїх давніх батькі́в, що слухатися Моїх слів не хотіли, і пішли за бога́ми чужими, щоб їм служити. Дім Ізраїлів і дім Юдин зламали Мого заповіта, якого Я склав з їхніми батька́ми.

11 Тому так промовляє Госпо́дь: Ось Я лихо на них наведу́, що вийти із нього не змо́жуть, і кли́кати бу́дуть до Мене, але не почую Я їх!

12 І пі́дуть юдейські міста́ та єрусалимські мешканці, і бу́дуть кричати до богів, що їм ка́дять вони, але ті помогти́ — не помо́жуть їм за ча́су їхнього лиха!

13 Бо богів твоїх — за числом твоїх міст, Юдо, і за числом вулиць Єрусалиму наста́влено же́ртівників для Моло́ха, же́ртівників, щоб кади́ти Ваалові.

14 Therefore pray6419 not you for this2088 people,5971 neither408 lift5375 up a cry7440 or prayer8605 for them: for I will not hear8085 them in the time6256 that they cry7121 to me for their trouble.7451

14 А ти не молися за цього наро́да, і блага́ння й молитви за них не здійма́й, бо Я не почую за ча́су того́, коли кли́кати будуть до Мене з-за лиха свого́!

17 А Господь Саваот, що тебе посадив, говорив був на тебе лихе за зло дому Ізраїля та дому Юди, що робили собі, щоб гніви́ти Мене, щоб кади́ти Ваа́лові.

18 And the LORD3068 has given me knowledge3045 of it, and I know3045 it: then227 you showed7200 me their doings.4611

18 А Господь дав пізна́ти мені — й я пізнав, і тоді Ти вчинив, що побачив я їхні діла́.

19 А я був, мов лагі́дна вівця́, що прова́дять її на зако́лення, і не знав, що на мене вони вимишля́ли заті́ї: „Пони́щмо це дерево з пло́дом його, і з кра́ю живих його ви́тнім, і йме́ння його не згадається більше!“

20 But, O LORD3068 of hosts,6635 that judge8199 righteously,6664 that try974 the reins3629 and the heart,3820 let me see7200 your vengeance5360 on them: for to you have I revealed1540 my cause.7379

20 Але, Господи Саваоте, Ти Суддя сраведливий, що досліджуєш ни́рки та серце, — хай над ними побачу я по́мсту Твою, бо справу свою я дові́рив Тобі!

21 Therefore3651 thus3541 said559 the LORD3068 of the men582 of Anathoth,6068 that seek1245 your life,5315 saying,559 Prophesy5012 not in the name8034 of the LORD,3068 that you die4191 not by our hand:3027

21 Тому так промовляє Господь на людей Анато́ту, що пошу́кують душу твою та говорять: „Не пророкуй Ім'я́м Господа, щоб не померти тобі від рук наших!“

22 Therefore3651 thus3541 said559 the LORD3068 of hosts,6635 Behold,2005 I will punish6485 them: the young970 men shall die4191 by the sword;2719 their sons1121 and their daughters1323 shall die4191 by famine:7458

22 Тому так промовляє Господь Савао́т: Ось Я навіщу́ їх: від меча юнаки́ повмирають, а сини їхні та їхні до́чки від голоду вмруть!

23 And there shall be no3808 remnant7611 of them: for I will bring935 evil7451 on the men582 of Anathoth,6068 even the year8141 of their visitation.6486
