3 If194 so be they will listen,8085 and turn7725 every man376 from his evil7451 way,1870 that I may repent5162 me of the evil,7451 which834 I purpose2803 to do6213 to them because6440 of the evil7455 of their doings.4611

4 And you shall say559 to them, Thus3541 said559 the LORD;3068 If518 you will not listen8085 to me, to walk1980 in my law,8451 which834 I have set5414 before6440 you,

5 To listen8085 to the words1697 of my servants5650 the prophets,5030 whom834 I sent7971 to you, both rising7925 up early,7925 and sending7971 them, but you have not listened;8085

6 Then will I make5414 this2088 house1004 like Shiloh,7887 and will make5414 this2063 city5892 a curse7045 to all3605 the nations1471 of the earth.776

7 So the priests3548 and the prophets5030 and all3605 the people5971 heard8085 Jeremiah3414 speaking1696 these428 words1697 in the house1004 of the LORD.3068

8 Now it came1961 to pass, when Jeremiah3414 had made an end3615 of speaking1696 all3605 that the LORD3068 had commanded6680 him to speak1696 to all3605 the people,5971 that the priests3548 and the prophets5030 and all3605 the people5971 took8610 him, saying,559 You shall surely die.4191

9 Why4069 have you prophesied5012 in the name8034 of the LORD,3068 saying,559 This2088 house1004 shall be like Shiloh,7887 and this2063 city5892 shall be desolate2717 without369 an inhabitant?3427 And all3605 the people5971 were gathered6950 against413 Jeremiah3414 in the house1004 of the LORD.3068

10 When the princes8269 of Judah3063 heard8085 these428 things,1697 then they came5927 up from the king's4428 house1004 to the house1004 of the LORD,3068 and sat3427 down in the entry6607 of the new2319 gate8179 of the LORD's3068 house.

11 Then spoke559 the priests3548 and the prophets5030 to the princes8269 and to all3605 the people,5971 saying,559 This2088 man376 is worthy to die;4194 for he has prophesied5012 against413 this2063 city,5892 as you have heard8085 with your ears.241

12 Then spoke559 Jeremiah3414 to all3605 the princes8269 and to all3605 the people,5971 saying,559 The LORD3068 sent7971 me to prophesy5012 against413 this2088 house1004 and against413 this2063 city5892 all3605 the words1697 that you have heard.8085

13 Therefore now6258 amend3190 your ways1870 and your doings,4611 and obey8085 the voice6963 of the LORD3068 your God;430 and the LORD3068 will repent5162 him of the evil7451 that he has pronounced1696 against5921 you.

14 As for me, behold,2005 I am in your hand:3027 do6213 with me as seems5869 good2896 and meet3477 to you.

15 But know3045 you for certain,3045 that if518 you put me to death,4191 you shall surely3588 bring5414 innocent5355 blood1818 on yourselves, and on this2063 city,5892 and on the inhabitants3427 thereof: for of a truth571 the LORD3068 has sent7971 me to you to speak1696 all3605 these428 words1697 in your ears.241

16 Then said559 the princes8269 and all3605 the people5971 to the priests3548 and to the prophets;5030 This2088 man376 is not worthy to die:4194 for he has spoken1696 to us in the name8034 of the LORD3068 our God.430

17 Then rose6965 up certain582 of the elders2205 of the land,776 and spoke559 to all3605 the assembly6951 of the people,5971 saying,559

18 Micah4320 the Morasthite4183 prophesied5012 in the days3117 of Hezekiah2396 king4428 of Judah,3063 and spoke559 to all3605 the people5971 of Judah,3063 saying,559 Thus3541 said559 the LORD3068 of hosts;6635 Zion6726 shall be plowed2790 like a field,7704 and Jerusalem3389 shall become1961 heaps,5856 and the mountain2022 of the house1004 as the high1116 places of a forest.3293

19 Did Hezekiah2396 king4428 of Judah3063 and all3605 Judah3063 put him at all to death?4191 did he not fear3373 the LORD,3068 and sought2470 the LORD,3068 and the LORD3068 repented5162 him of the evil7451 which834 he had pronounced1696 against5921 them? Thus might we procure6213 great1419 evil7451 against5921 our souls.5315

20 And there was also1571 a man376 that prophesied5012 in the name8034 of the LORD,3068 Urijah223 the son1121 of Shemaiah8098 of Kirjathjearim,7157 who prophesied5012 against5921 this2063 city5892 and against5921 this2063 land776 according to all3605 the words1697 of Jeremiah.3414

21 And when Jehoiakim3079 the king,4428 with all3605 his mighty1368 men, and all3605 the princes,8269 heard8085 his words,1697 the king4428 sought1245 to put him to death:4191 but when Urijah223 heard8085 it, he was afraid,3372 and fled,1272 and went935 into Egypt;4714

22 And Jehoiakim3079 the king4428 sent7971 men582 into Egypt,4714 namely, Elnathan494 the son1121 of Achbor,5907 and certain men582 with him into413 Egypt.4714

23 And they fetched3318 forth3318 Urijah223 out of Egypt,4714 and brought935 him to Jehoiakim3079 the king;4428 who slew5221 him with the sword,2719 and cast7993 his dead5038 body5038 into413 the graves6913 of the common1121 people.5971

24 Nevertheless389 the hand3027 of Ahikam296 the son1121 of Shaphan8227 was with Jeremiah,3414 that they should not give5414 him into the hand3027 of the people5971 to put him to death.4191

1 В начале царствования Иоакима, сына Иосиина, царя иудейского, было слово сие от Иеговы, и сказано:

2 Так говорит Иегова: стань на дворе дома Иеговы, и скажи на все города Иудеи, приходящие на поклонение в дом Иеговы, все те слова, какие повелю тебе сказать им; не убавь ни слова.

3 Может быть, они послушают, и обратятся каждый от порочного пути своего, и Я отменю то зло, которое думаю сделать им за злые нравы их.

4 И скажи им: так говорит Иегова: если вы не послушаетесь Меня в том, чтоб поступать по закону Моему, который Я предложил вам,

5 Чтобы внимать речам рабов Моих, пророков, которых Я посылаю к вам, посылаю с раннего утра, и которых вы не слушаете;

6 То с домом сим Я сделаю то же, что с Силомом, и город сей отдам на поругание всем народам земли.

7 Священники и пророки и весь народ слушали Иеремию, когда он говорил сии слова в доме Иеговы.

8 И когда Иеремия сказал все, что Иегова повелел сказать всему народу; тогда схватили его священники и пророки и весь народ, говоря: `ты должен умереть.

9 Зачем ты именем Иеговы пророчествуешь и говоришь: дом сей будет как Силом, и город сей опустеет, останется без жителей?` И сбежался весь народ к Иеремии в дом Иеговы.

10 Князья иудейские услышали о сем происшествии, и взошли из дому царева в дом Иеговы, и сели у дверей новых врат Иеговы.

11 Тогда священники и пророки так сказали князьям и народу всему: смертная казнь человеку сему, потому что он на град сей пророчествует, как вы слышали своими ушами.

12 И говорил Иеремия всем князьям и всему народу, и сказал: Иегова послал меня пророчествовать на дом сей и на город все те слова, которые вы слышали.

13 Итак исправьте пути свои и нравы свои, и послушайте гласа Иеговы, Бога вашего, и Иегова отменит то зло, которое изрек на вас.

14 А я, - вот я в ваших руках; делайте со мною, что в глазах ваших покажется хорошо и справедливо.

15 Только знайте, что ежели вы умертвите Меня, то невинную кровь возложите на себя, и на город сей, и на живущих в нем, ибо действительно Иегова послал меня к вам сказать в уши ваши все те слова.

16 И сказали князья и весь народ священникам и пророкам: нельзя на человека сего произнести приговор смертный, потому что он говорит нам именем Иеговы, Бога нашего.

17 И из старейшин земли встали некоторые, и сказали ко всему народному собранию так:

18 `Михей Морашфитянин пророчествовал во дни Езекии, царя иудейского, и сказал всему народу иудейскому сии слова: так говорит Иегова воинств: Сион будут орать как поле, и Иерусалим сделается грудою развалин, и гора дома сего пригорком в лесу. {Мих. 3:12.}

19 Умертвили ли его за сие Езекия, царь иудейский, и весь Иуда? Напротив, он убоялся Иеговы и умилостивлял лицо Иеговы, и Иегова отменил то зло, которое изрек на них. А мы делаем большое зло душам своим.

20 Также пророчествовал тогда именем Иеговы некто Урия, сын Шемаии, из Кариафиарима; и пророчествовал на град сей и на землю сию точно такими же словами, как Иеремия.

21 И услышал слова его царь Иоаким, и все военные сановники его, и все князья, и искал царь умертвить его. И услышал об этом Урия, и убоялся, и побежал, и ушел в Египет.

22 Но царь Иоаким и в Египет послал людей, в Египет послал он Елнафана, сына Ахборова и других с ним.

23 И вывели Урию из Египта, и привели его к царю Иоакиму, и он умертвил его мечем, и бросил труп его в гробницы простонародные`. -

24 Только рука Ахикама, сына Шафанова, защитила Иеремию, что он не отдан был в руки народа на убиение.

2 Так говорит Иегова: стань на дворе дома Иеговы, и скажи на все города Иудеи, приходящие на поклонение в дом Иеговы, все те слова, какие повелю тебе сказать им; не убавь ни слова.

3 Может быть, они послушают, и обратятся каждый от порочного пути своего, и Я отменю то зло, которое думаю сделать им за злые нравы их.

4 И скажи им: так говорит Иегова: если вы не послушаетесь Меня в том, чтоб поступать по закону Моему, который Я предложил вам,

6 То с домом сим Я сделаю то же, что с Силомом, и город сей отдам на поругание всем народам земли.

7 So the priests3548 and the prophets5030 and all3605 the people5971 heard8085 Jeremiah3414 speaking1696 these428 words1697 in the house1004 of the LORD.3068

7 Священники и пророки и весь народ слушали Иеремию, когда он говорил сии слова в доме Иеговы.

8 Now it came1961 to pass, when Jeremiah3414 had made an end3615 of speaking1696 all3605 that the LORD3068 had commanded6680 him to speak1696 to all3605 the people,5971 that the priests3548 and the prophets5030 and all3605 the people5971 took8610 him, saying,559 You shall surely die.4191

8 И когда Иеремия сказал все, что Иегова повелел сказать всему народу; тогда схватили его священники и пророки и весь народ, говоря: `ты должен умереть.

10 When the princes8269 of Judah3063 heard8085 these428 things,1697 then they came5927 up from the king's4428 house1004 to the house1004 of the LORD,3068 and sat3427 down in the entry6607 of the new2319 gate8179 of the LORD's3068 house.

10 Князья иудейские услышали о сем происшествии, и взошли из дому царева в дом Иеговы, и сели у дверей новых врат Иеговы.

11 Then spoke559 the priests3548 and the prophets5030 to the princes8269 and to all3605 the people,5971 saying,559 This2088 man376 is worthy to die;4194 for he has prophesied5012 against413 this2063 city,5892 as you have heard8085 with your ears.241

11 Тогда священники и пророки так сказали князьям и народу всему: смертная казнь человеку сему, потому что он на град сей пророчествует, как вы слышали своими ушами.

12 Then spoke559 Jeremiah3414 to all3605 the princes8269 and to all3605 the people,5971 saying,559 The LORD3068 sent7971 me to prophesy5012 against413 this2088 house1004 and against413 this2063 city5892 all3605 the words1697 that you have heard.8085

12 И говорил Иеремия всем князьям и всему народу, и сказал: Иегова послал меня пророчествовать на дом сей и на город все те слова, которые вы слышали.

13 Therefore now6258 amend3190 your ways1870 and your doings,4611 and obey8085 the voice6963 of the LORD3068 your God;430 and the LORD3068 will repent5162 him of the evil7451 that he has pronounced1696 against5921 you.

13 Итак исправьте пути свои и нравы свои, и послушайте гласа Иеговы, Бога вашего, и Иегова отменит то зло, которое изрек на вас.

14 As for me, behold,2005 I am in your hand:3027 do6213 with me as seems5869 good2896 and meet3477 to you.

14 А я, - вот я в ваших руках; делайте со мною, что в глазах ваших покажется хорошо и справедливо.

15 Только знайте, что ежели вы умертвите Меня, то невинную кровь возложите на себя, и на город сей, и на живущих в нем, ибо действительно Иегова послал меня к вам сказать в уши ваши все те слова.

16 Then said559 the princes8269 and all3605 the people5971 to the priests3548 and to the prophets;5030 This2088 man376 is not worthy to die:4194 for he has spoken1696 to us in the name8034 of the LORD3068 our God.430

16 И сказали князья и весь народ священникам и пророкам: нельзя на человека сего произнести приговор смертный, потому что он говорит нам именем Иеговы, Бога нашего.

17 Then rose6965 up certain582 of the elders2205 of the land,776 and spoke559 to all3605 the assembly6951 of the people,5971 saying,559

17 И из старейшин земли встали некоторые, и сказали ко всему народному собранию так:

20 Также пророчествовал тогда именем Иеговы некто Урия, сын Шемаии, из Кариафиарима; и пророчествовал на град сей и на землю сию точно такими же словами, как Иеремия.

21 And when Jehoiakim3079 the king,4428 with all3605 his mighty1368 men, and all3605 the princes,8269 heard8085 his words,1697 the king4428 sought1245 to put him to death:4191 but when Urijah223 heard8085 it, he was afraid,3372 and fled,1272 and went935 into Egypt;4714

21 И услышал слова его царь Иоаким, и все военные сановники его, и все князья, и искал царь умертвить его. И услышал об этом Урия, и убоялся, и побежал, и ушел в Египет.

22 And Jehoiakim3079 the king4428 sent7971 men582 into Egypt,4714 namely, Elnathan494 the son1121 of Achbor,5907 and certain men582 with him into413 Egypt.4714

22 Но царь Иоаким и в Египет послал людей, в Египет послал он Елнафана, сына Ахборова и других с ним.

23 И вывели Урию из Египта, и привели его к царю Иоакиму, и он умертвил его мечем, и бросил труп его в гробницы простонародные`. -

24 Nevertheless389 the hand3027 of Ahikam296 the son1121 of Shaphan8227 was with Jeremiah,3414 that they should not give5414 him into the hand3027 of the people5971 to put him to death.4191
