1 Und der HErr3068 sprach559 zu Mose4872: Gehe935 hinein zu Pharao6547; denn ich habe sein und seiner Knechte5650 Herz3820 verhärtet3513, auf daß ich diese meine Zeichen226 unter7130 ihnen tue7896,

2 und1121 daß du verkündigest5608 vor den Ohren241 deiner Kinder1121 und1121 deiner Kindeskinder, was ich in Ägypten4714 ausgerichtet habe5953 und wie ich meine Zeichen226 unter ihnen beweiset habe7760, daß ihr3045 wisset; ich bin der HErr3068.

3 Also gingen935 Mose4872 und Aaron175 hinein zu Pharao6547 und sprachen559 zu ihm: So spricht der HErr3068, der Ebräer GOtt430: Wie lange4970 weigerst du559, dich3985 vor mir6440 zu demütigen6031, daß du mein Volk5971 lassest7971, mir zu dienen5647?

4 Weigerst3986 du dich, mein Volk5971 zu lassen7971, siehe, so will935 ich morgen4279 Heuschrecken697 kommen lassen an allen Orten1366,

5 daß sie das Land776 bedecken3680, also daß man das Land776 nicht sehen7200 könne3201; und sollen fressen398, was euch5869 übrig3499 und errettet ist6413 von dem Hagel1259, und sollen alle eure grünenden Bäume6086 fressen398 auf6779 dem Felde7704;

6 und sollen erfüllen4390 dein Haus1004, aller deiner Knechte5650 Häuser1004 und aller Ägypter4714 Häuser1004, desgleichen nicht gesehen7200 haben deine Väter1 und deiner Väter1 Väter1, seit der Zeit3117 sie auf Erden127 gewesen, bis auf diesen Tag3117. Und er wandte sich6437 und ging von3318 Pharao6547 hinaus.

7 Da sprachen559 die Knechte5650 Pharaos6547 zu ihm: Wie3045 lange sollen wir582 damit geplagt sein4170? Laß die Leute ziehen7971, daß sie6 dem HErrn3068, ihrem GOtt430, dienen5647! Willst du zu vor erfahren, daß Ägypten4714 untergegangen sei?

8 Mose4872 und Aaron175 wurden wieder7725 zu Pharao6547 gebracht, der sprach559 zu ihnen: Gehet hin3212 und dienet5647 dem HErrn3068, eurem GOtt430. Welche sind sie aber, die hinziehen sollen1980?

9 Mose4872 sprach559: Wir wollen ziehen3212 mit jung5288 und alt2205, mit Söhnen1121 und Töchtern1323, mit Schafen6629 und Rindern1241; denn wir haben ein Fest2282 des HErrn3068.

10 Er sprach559 zu ihnen: Awe ja, der HErr3068 sei mit euch! Sollte ich euch und eure Kinder2945 dazu ziehen7971 lassen? Sehet da, ob ihr7200 nicht Böses7451 vorhabt6440!

11 Nicht also, sondern ihr Männer1397 ziehet hin3212 und dienet5647 dem HErrn3068; denn das habt ihr auch gesucht1245. Und man stieß sie heraus1644 von6440 Pharao6547.

12 Da sprach559 der HErr3068 zu Mose4872: Recke deine Hand3027 über Ägyptenland4714 um die Heuschrecken, daß sie697 auf5186 Ägyptenland4714 kommen und776 fressen398 alles Kraut6212 im Lande776 auf5927 samt alle dem, das776 dem Hagel1259 überblieben ist7604.

13 Mose4872 reckte5186 seinen Stab4294 über Ägyptenland4714. Und7307 der HErr3068 trieb5090 einen Ostwind6921 ins Land776 den ganzen Tag3117 und776 die ganze Nacht3915; und7307 des Morgens1242 führete der Ostwind6921 die Heuschrecken697 her.

14 Und sie697 kamen über ganz Ägyptenland776 und ließen sich nieder5117 an5927 allen Orten1366 in6440 Ägypten4714, so3651 sehr3966 viel3515, daß zuvor des gleichen nie gewesen ist, noch hinfort310 sein wird.

15 Denn sie bedeckten3680 das776 Land776 und verfinsterten2821 es. Und sie fraßen398 alles Kraut6212 im Lande776 auf und alle Früchte6529 auf den Bäumen6086, die dem5869 Hagel1259 waren überblieben, und ließen3498 nichts Grünes3418 übrig3498 an den Bäumen6086 und am Kraut6212 auf dem Felde7704 in ganz Ägyptenland776.

16 Da forderte7121 Pharao6547 eilend4116 Mose4872 und Aaron175 und sprach559: Ich habe mich versündiget an dem HErrn3068, eurem GOtt430, und an euch2398.

17 Vergebet mir meine Sünde2403 diesmal auch und bittet6279 den HErrn3068, euren GOtt430, daß er doch6471 nur diesen Tod4194 von mir wegnehme5493.

18 Und er ging aus3318 von Pharao6547 und bat6279 den HErrn3068.

19 Da wendete2015 der HErr3068 einen sehr3966 starken2389 Westwind und hub die Heuschrecken697 auf5375 und warf8628 sie697 ins Schilfmeer5488, daß nicht7307 eine259 übrig7604 blieb an allen Orten1366 Ägyptens4714.

20 Aber der HErr3068 verstockte2388 Pharaos6547 Herz3820, daß er die Kinder1121 Israel3478 nicht ließ7971.

21 Der HErr3068 sprach559 zu Mose4872: Recke5186 deine Hand3027 gen Himmel8064, daß es so finster2822 werde in Ägyptenland776, daß man‘s greifen mag4959.

22 Und Mose4872 reckte5186 seine Hand3027 gen Himmel8064; da ward eine dicke653 Finsternis2822 in ganz Ägyptenland776 drei7969 Tage3117,

23 daß niemand376 den andern251 sah7200 noch aufstund von dem Ort, da er376 war, in dreien7969 Tagen3117. Aber bei allen Kindern1121 Israel3478 war es licht216 in ihren Wohnungen4186.

24 Da forderte7121 Pharao6547 Mose4872 und sprach559: Ziehet hin3212 und dienet5647 dem HErrn3068; allein eure Schafe6629 und Rinder1241 lasset hie; lasset auch eure Kindlein2945 mit euch ziehen3212.

25 Mose4872 sprach559: Du mußt uns3027 auch Opfer2077 und Brandopfer5930 geben5414, das wir unserm GOtt430, dem HErrn3068, tun6213 mögen.

26 Unser Vieh4735 soll mit uns gehen3212 und nicht eine Klaue6541 dahinten bleiben7604; denn von dem Unsern werden wir nehmen3947 zum Dienst unsers Gottes430, des HErrn3068. Denn wir wissen3045 nicht, womit wir dem HErrn3068 dienen5647 sollen5647, bis wir dahin kommen935.

27 Aber der HErr3068 verstockte das Herz3820 Pharaos6547, daß er sie2388 nicht lassen7971 wollte14.

28 Und Pharao6547 sprach559 zu ihm: Gehe3212 von mir und hüte dich8104, daß du7200 nicht3254 mehr vor meine Augen6440 kommest; denn welches Tages3117 du vor meine Augen6440 kommst7200, sollst du sterben4191.

29 Mose4872 antwortete: Wie du gesagt559 hast1696; ich will7200 nicht3254 mehr3651 vor deine Augen6440 kommen.

1 AND the LORD said to Moses, Go in to Pharaoh; for I have hardened his heart and the hearts of his servants, that I may perform these signs among them,

2 That you may relate in the presence of your son and of your son's son the things which I have done to the Egyptians and the signs which I have performed among them, that you may know that I am the LORD.

3 And Moses and Aaron came to Pharaoh, and said to him, Thus says the LORD God of the Hebrews, How long will you refuse to fear me? Let my people go that they may serve me.

4 Else, if you refuse to let my people go, behold, tomorrow I will bring locusts upon all Four domain;

5 And they shall cover the face of the land so that men cannot see the ground; and they shall eat the residue of that which is left to you from the hail and shall eat all the trees which have budded for you in the field;

6 And they shall fill your houses and the houses of your servants and the houses of all the Egyptians such as neither your fathers nor your grand fathers have seen, from the day that they were upon the earth even to this day. And they turned, and went out from the presence of Pharaoh.

7 And Pharaoh's servants said to him, How long shall we suffer this disaster? Let the men go that they may serve the LORD their God; do you not yet know that Egypt is destroyed?

8 So Moses and Aaron were brought again to Pharaoh; and he said to them, Go, serve before the LORD your God; but who are they that are going?

9 And Moses said to him, We will go with our young and with our old, with our sons and with our daughters; with our flocks and with our herds will we go, for it is a festival of the LORD for all of us.

10 And Pharaoh said to them, Let the LORD be with you, but when I let you and your little ones go, look to it; perhaps you have evil intent.

11 Let it not be so; go now, the older men, and serve before the LORD; for it is the rest that you desire. And they were driven out from Pharaoh's presence.

12 And the LORD said to Moses, Lift up your hand over the land of Egypt for the locusts, that they may come up upon the land of Egypt and eat the herbs of the land, even all that the hail has left.

13 And Moses lifted up his staff over the land of Egypt, and the LORD brought an east wind upon the land all that day and all that night; and when it was morning, the east wind brought the locusts.

14 And the locusts went up over all the land of Egypt and rested in all the domain of the Egyptians; it was a great swarm; before them there were no such swarms of locusts as they, neither after them shall be such.

15 For they covered the face of the whole earth so that the land was darkened; and they did eat all the herbs of the land and all the fruit of the trees which the hail had left; and there remained no leaf on the trees neither grass in the field, through al the land of Egypt.

16 Then Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron in haste; and he said to them, I have sinned against the LORD your God and against you.

17 Now therefore, forgive me my fault this time also, and pray before the LORD your God that he may re move from me this death.

18 And Moses went out from the presence of Pharaoh and prayed be fore the LORD.

19 And the LORD turned a mighty strong west wind, which took away the locusts and cast them into the Red Sea; there remained not one locust in all the domain of Egypt.

20 But the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart so that he would not let the children of Israel go.

21 Then the LORD said to Moses, Lift up your hand toward the heaven that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, even thick darkness.

22 And Moses lifted up his hand toward heaven; and there was a thick darkness in all the land of Egypt three days;

23 They did not see one another, nor rose any from his place for three days; but all the children of Israel had light in their dwellings.

24 And Pharaoh called to Moses and said to him, Go, serve before the LORD your God; only let your flocks and herds remain here; let your little ones also go with you.

25 Then Moses said to Pharaoh. You must give us also sacrifices and burnt offerings that we may sacrifice to the LORD our God.

26 Our cattle also shall go with us; there shall not an hoof be left behind; for thereof must we take to serve before the LORD our God; and we do not know what else we must offer to the LORD until we come there.

27 But the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart and he would not let them go.

28 And Pharaoh said to Moses. Get away from here, take heed to yourself, do not try to see my face again,

29 And Moses said, You have spoken well, I will not try to see your face any more.

8 So Moses and Aaron were brought again to Pharaoh; and he said to them, Go, serve before the LORD your God; but who are they that are going?

14 And the locusts went up over all the land of Egypt and rested in all the domain of the Egyptians; it was a great swarm; before them there were no such swarms of locusts as they, neither after them shall be such.

15 Denn sie bedeckten3680 das776 Land776 und verfinsterten2821 es. 22 And Moses lifted up his hand toward heaven; and there was a thick darkness in all the land of Egypt three days;

28 And Pharaoh said to Moses. Get away from here, take heed to yourself, do not try to see my face again,

29 And Moses said, You have spoken well, I will not try to see your face any more.
