2 Es begegnet4745 einem259 wie834 dem andern, dem Gerechten6662 wie dem GOttlosen7563, dem Guten2896 und Reinen2889 wie dem Unreinen2931, dem der opfert2076, wie dem, der nicht opfert2076. Wie es dem Guten2896 gehet, so gehet es auch dem Sünder2398. Wie es dem Meineidigen gehet, so gehet es auch dem, der den Eid7650 fürchtet3373.

11 Ich995 wandte mich und sah7200, wie3045 es unter der Sonne8121 zugehet, daß zu2580 laufen4793 nicht hilft schnell sein7725, zum Streit4421 hilft nicht stark1368 sein7031, zur Nahrung3899 hilft nicht geschickt sein2450, zum Reichtum6239 hilft nicht klug sein; daß einer angenehm sei, hilft nicht, daß er ein Ding wohl könne, sondern alles liegt7136 es an der Zeit6256 und Glück6294.

12 Auch weiß3045 der Mensch120 seine Zeit6256 nicht7451, sondern wie die1992 Fische1709 gefangen werden mit einem schädlichen Hamen, und1121 wie die Vögel6833 mit einem Strick6341 gefangen werden, so werden auch die Menschen120 berückt3369 zur bösen7451 Zeit6256, wenn sie270 plötzlich6597 über sie270 fällt5307.

17 Das1697 macht4910 der Weisen2450 Worte gelten mehr bei den Stillen denn der Herren Schreien2201 bei den Narren3684.

18 Denn Weisheit2451 ist besser2896 denn Harnisch3627; aber ein259 einiger Bube2398 verderbet viel7235 Gutes2896.

18 Wisdom2451 is better2896 than weapons3627 of war:7128 but one259 sinner2398 destroys6 much7235 good.2896
