Розділ 32

1 „Слухай, небо, а я говори́тиму, і хай почує земля мову уст моїх!

2 Нехай ллється наука моя, мов той дощ, хай тече, як роса́, моя мова, як кра́плі дощу на траву, та як зли́ва на зелень.

3 Як буду я кли́кати Йме́ння Господнє, то славу віддайте ви нашому Богові!

4 Він Скеля, а діло Його доскона́ле, всі бо дороги Його справедливі, — Бог вірний, і кривди немає в Ньому, справедли́вий і праведний Він.

5 Зіпсу́лись вони, — не Його то сини́, покоління невірне й покру́чене.

6 Чи тим віддасте́ Господе́ві, наро́де нікче́мний й немудрий? Чи ж не Він — Ба́тько твій, твій Творе́ць? Він тебе вчинив, і Він міцно поставив тебе.

7 Пам'ятай про дні давні, розважайте про ро́ки усіх поколі́нь, — запитай свого ба́тька, і покаже тобі твоїх тих старши́х, а вони тобі скажуть.

8 Як Всевишній наро́дам спа́док давав, коли Він розділяв синів лю́дських, Він поставив границі наро́дам за числом Ізраїлевих синів.

9 Бо частка Господня — наро́д Його, Яків — відмі́ряний у́діл спа́дщини Його.

10 Знайшов Він його на пустинній землі та в степу́ завива́ння пусте́льних гієн, та й його оточи́в, уважав Він за ним, зберіга́в Він його, як зіни́цю оту́ свого ока.

11 Як гніздо́ своє будить орел, як ширя́є він понад своїми маля́тами, крила свої простягає, бере їх, та носить їх він на раме́ні крилатім своїм, —

12 так Господь Сам прова́див його, а бога чужого при нім не було́.

13 Він його садови́в на висо́тах землі, і він їв польові́ врожа́ї, Він медом із скелі його годува́в, і оливою з ске́льного кре́меня,

14 маслом з худоби великої та молоком від худоби дрібно́ї, ра́зом із лоєм ягнят та бара́нів з Баша́ну й козлів, ра́зом з такою пшеницею, як лій на нирка́х, і кров виноградної я́годи пив ти вином.

15 I потовстів Єшуру́н та й брика́тися став. І ти потовсті́в, погрубів, став гладки́й. І покинув він Бога, що його створи́в, і Ске́лю спасі́ння свого злегкова́жив.

16 Чужими богами Його роздражни́ли, Його розгніви́ли своїми гидо́тами.

17 Вони де́монам жертви складали, не Богу, складали бога́м, що не відали їх, нови́м, що недавно прийшли, — не лякалися їх батьки ваші!

18 Забуваєш ти Ске́лю, Яка породила тебе, і забуваєш ти Бога, що тебе народив.

19 I побачив Госпо́дь, та й знена́видів їх, через гнів на синів Своїх і на дочо́к Своїх,

20 та й сказав: „Лице Я Своє заховаю від них, побачу, який їх кіне́ць, бо вони покоління розбе́щене, діти, що в них нема віри.

21 Роздражни́ли Мене вони тим, хто не Бог, Мене розгніви́ли своїми марно́тами, тому роздражню́ Я їх тим, хто не наро́д, — нерозумним наро́дом розгніваю їх.

22 Бо був загорівся огонь Мого гні́ву, і пали́вся він аж до шео́лу найглибшого, і він землю поїв та її врожай, і спалив був підва́лини гір.

23 Я на них нагрома́джу нещастя, зуживу́ Свої стріли на них.

24 Будуть ви́снажені вони голодом, і поїджені будуть огнем та зара́зою лютою, і зу́ба звіри́ни нашлю́ Я на них, з отрутою плазуні́в по землі.

25 Надворі́ забива́тиме меч, а в кімна́тах — страхі́ття, як юнака́, так і ді́вчину, грудне́ немовля́ з чоловіком поси́вілим.

26 Я сказав: Повигу́блюю їх, відірву́ від людей їхню пам'ять,

27 та це Я відклав з-за ворожого гніву, щоб проти́вники їх не згорди́лися, щоб вони не сказали: Підне́слася наша рука, і не Господь учинив усе це.

28 Бо вони — люд безрадний, і нема в них розумува́ння.

29 Коли б були мудрі вони, зрозуміли б оце, розсудили б були́ про кінець свій.

30 Як може один гнати тисячу, а два — проганять десять тисяч, коли то не те, що їх продала́ їхня Скеля, і Господь видав їх?

31 Не така бо їх скеля, як наша та Ске́ля, хай су́дять самі вороги.

32 Бо їх виноград — з винограду содо́мського та з піль тих гомо́рських, винні ягоди їхні — отру́йні то я́годи, вони гро́на гірко́ти для них.

33 вино їхнє — зміїна отру́та і гадю́ча поги́бельна їдь!

34 Чи за́мкнене в Мене не це, у скарбни́цях Моїх запеча́тане?

35 Моя пі́мста й відпла́та на час, коли їхня нога́ посковзне́ться, бо близьки́й день поги́белі їх, поспішає майбутнє для них.

36 Бо розсудить Господь Свій наро́д, і змилосе́рдиться Він над Своїми рабами, як побачить, що їхня рука ослабі́ла, і нема ні невільного, ані вільного.

37 І Він скаже тоді: Де їх бо́ги, де скеля, що в ній поховались вони,

38 що їли вони лій кривавих їх же́ртов, пили вино же́ртов їх литих? Нехай встануть і вам допоможуть, і хай будуть покровом для вас.

39 Побачте тепер, що Я — Я є Той, і Бога немає крім Мене. Побиваю й ожи́влюю Я, і не врятує ніхто від Моєї руки.

40 Бо до неба підно́шу Я руку Свою та й кажу́: Я навіки Живий!

41 Поправді кажу вам: Я ві́стря Свого меча нагострю́, і рука Моя схо́питься суду, тоді відімщу́ Я Своїм ворогам, і Своїм ненави́сникам Я відплачу́.

42 Я стріли Свої понапо́юю кров'ю, — а Мій меч поїда́тиме м'ясо, кров'ю забитого й бра́нця, головами кучма́тими ворога.

43 Радійте, погани, з наро́дом Його, бо Він відімсти́ться за кров Своїх всіх рабів, і пі́мсту поверне Своїм ворогам, і ви́купить землю Свою, Свій наро́д“.

44 І прийшов Мойсей, і промовляв всі слова́ цієї пісні до ушей наро́ду, він та Ісус, син Нави́нів.

45 А коли Мойсей скінчи́в промовляти всі ці слова до всього Ізраїля,

46 то сказав він до них: „Приложіть свої серця́ до всіх тих слів, які я сьогодні чинив свідками проти вас, що ви накажете їх своїм синам, щоб додержували виконувати всі слова́ цього Зако́ну.

47 Бо це для вас не слово порожнє, — воно життя ваше, і цим словом ви продо́вжите дні на цій землі, куди ви перехо́дите Йордан, щоб посісти її“.

48 І Господь промовляв до Мойсея того самого дня, говорячи:

49 „Вийди на ту го́ру Аварім, на гору Нево́, що в моавському кра́ї, що навпроти Єрихону, і побач ханаанський край, що Я даю Ізраїлевим синам на володіння.

50 І вмри на горі, куди ти вийдеш, і долучися до своєї рідні, як помер був твій брат Ааро́н на Гор-горі, і долучився до своєї рідні,

51 за те, що ви спроневі́рилися були Мені серед Ізраїлевих синів при воді Меріви в Кадешу на пустині Цін, за те, що ви не освятили Мене серед Ізра́їлевих синів.

52 Бо знавпроти побачиш ти той край, та не вві́йдеш туди, до того кра́ю, що Я даю Ізраїлевим синам“.

Deuteronomy

Chapter 32

1 GIVE ear, O heavens, and I will speak; and let the earth hear the words of my mouth.

2 My word shall drop as rain, my speech shall fall as dew, as the gentle wind upon the tender herbs, and as the showers upon the grass;

3 For I will call upon the name of the LORD; ascribe majesty to our God, the Mighty One.

4 For his works are perfect; and all his ways are just; he is a faithful God and without iniquity, just and upright is he.

5 They have corrupted themselves, and they are not his children because of blemish; they are a perverse and crooked generation.

6 Are these the things that you return unto the LORD, O foolish and unwise people? Is he not your father who has redeemed you? Has he not made you and established you?

7 Remember the days of old, consider the years of many generations; ask your father, and he will show you; your elders, and they will tell you.

8 When the Most High divided the nations, when he separated mankind, he set the bounds of the people according to the number of the children of Israel.

9 For the LORD'S portion is his people; Jacob is the lot of his inheritance.

10 He found him in a desert land, and in the waste and howling wilderness; he made him to settle down, he loved him, he kept him as the apple of his eye.

11 As an eagle encircles his nest, fluttering over his young, spreading out its wings, taking them, bearing them on the strength of his wings;

12 So the LORD alone did lead Israel, and there was no strange god with him.

13 He made him to dwell in a fertile land, and fed him with the produce of the field; and he made him to suck honey out of the rock and oil out of the flinty rock;

14 And gave him butter of cows and milk of sheep, with fat of fatlings and rams of the breed of rock-goats and goats, with the fat and the best wheat; and he gave him wine to drink, and of the juices of grapes.

15 And Israel grew fat and kicked; he became rich and mighty, he gained wealth; then he forsook God who made him, and reviled the Mighty One who had saved him.

16 They provoked him to zealousness with strange gods, they made him angry with idols.

17 They sacrificed to demons that were not gods; to gods whom they knew not, to new gods that were just made. whom your fathers had never worshipped.

18 But you forsook the Mighty One who bore you, and you forgot the God who made you glorious.

19 And the LORD saw it, and was angry, because his sons and daughters provoked him.

20 And he said, I will turn away my face from them, I will see what their end will be; for they are a perverse generation, children in whom is no faith.

21 They have provoked me to zealousness with that which is not God; they have provoked me to anger with their idols; so I will move them to jealousy with those that are not my people; I will provoke them to anger with a foolish nation.

22 For a fire is kindled in my anger, and shall burn to the lowest parts of Sheol, and shall consume the earth and its increase, and set on fire the foundations of the mountains.

23 I will heap mischiefs upon them; I will spend my arrows upon them.

24 They shall be disabled with hunger, and I will deliver them to evil spirits, and I will deliver them to vultures; I will also stir up wild beasts upon them, with the poison of serpents which creep in the dust.

25 Outside the sword shall bereave, and terror in inner chambers shall destroy both the young men and the virgins, the suckling also with the men of gray hairs.

26 And I said, Where are they? I would blot out the memory of them from among men.

27 Had it not been for the wrath of the enemy, who had become strong, and had it not been for the boasting of the adversary, who would say, It is our hand that has prevailed, and the LORD has not done all this, I would have blotted them out.

28 For they are a nation void of counsel, neither is there any understanding in them.

29 O that they were wise, that they understood this, that they would consider their latter end!

30 How should one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight, except their Mighty One had delivered them to their enemies, and the LORD had hemmed them in?

31 For their strength is not as our strength, even our enemies themselves being judges.

32 For their vine is of the vine of Sodom, and of the fields of Gomorrah; their grapes are bitter grapes, the clusters are gall to them;

33 Their venom is the venom of dragons, and the cruel venom of asps.

34 Is not this laid up in store with me, and sealed up in my treasures?

35 To me belongs vengeance, and I will recompense them at the time when their foot shall slip; for the day of their destruction is at hand, and the misfortune that shall come upon them makes haste.

36 For the LORD shall judge his people, and be consoled for his servants, because he will see that their power is gone, and there is none to help or sustain.

37 And he shall say, Where are their mighty gods, those in whom they trusted,

38 Who ate the fat of their sacrifices, and drank the wine of their drink offerings? Let them now rise up and help you, let them be your protection.

39 See now that I. even I. am he, and there is no god besides me; I cause men to die, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal; and there is none that can escape out of my hands.

40 For I lift up my hand to heaven and say, I live for ever.

41 I will whet my glittering sword as the lightning, and my hand shall take hold of judgment; I will render vengeance on those that hate me, and cause my enemies to surrender.

42 I will make my arrows drunk with blood, and my sword shall devour flesh, with the blood of the slain and of the captives, from the crown of the head of the enemy.

43 Therefore praise his people, O you nations; for the blood of his servants shall be avenged, and he will take vengeance upon his adversaries, and will give absolution to his land and to his people.

44 And Moses came and recited all the words of this song before the people, he and Joshua the son of Nun.

45 And when Moses had finished reciting all these words to all Israel,

46 He said to them, Set your hearts to all the words which I testify among you this day, which you shall command your children to do, all the words of this law.

47 For it is not a vain thing for you, because it is your life; and through this thing you shall prolong your days in the land which you are crossing the Jordan to possess.

48 And the LORD spoke to Moses that same day, saying,

49 Go up into this mountain of the Abraye, into mount Nebo, which is in the land of Moab, that is over toward Jericho; and view the land of Canaan, which I give to the children of Israel as a possession:

50 And die on the mountain which you ascend, and be gathered to your people; as Aaron your brother died on mount Hor, and was gathered to his people:

51 Because you transgressed against me among the children of Israel at the waters of Mesotha which is at Rakim, in the wilderness of Zin; because you did not sanctify me in the midst of the children of Israel.

52 Yet you shall see the land before you, which I give to the children of Israel; but you shall not enter there.

6 Чи тим віддасте́ Господе́ві, наро́де нікче́мний й немудрий? Чи ж не Він — Ба́тько твій, твій Творе́ць? Він тебе вчинив, і Він міцно поставив тебе.

6 Are these the things that you return unto the LORD, O foolish and unwise people? Is he not your father who has redeemed you? Has he not made you and established you?

7 Пам'ятай про дні давні, розважайте про ро́ки усіх поколі́нь, — запитай свого ба́тька, і покаже тобі твоїх тих старши́х, а вони тобі скажуть.

7 Remember the days of old, consider the years of many generations; ask your father, and he will show you; your elders, and they will tell you.

8 Як Всевишній наро́дам спа́док давав, коли Він розділяв синів лю́дських, Він поставив границі наро́дам за числом Ізраїлевих синів.

8 When the Most High divided the nations, when he separated mankind, he set the bounds of the people according to the number of the children of Israel.

9 Бо частка Господня — наро́д Його, Яків — відмі́ряний у́діл спа́дщини Його.

9 For the LORD'S portion is his people; Jacob is the lot of his inheritance.

15 I потовстів Єшуру́н та й брика́тися став. І ти потовсті́в, погрубів, став гладки́й. І покинув він Бога, що його створи́в, і Ске́лю спасі́ння свого злегкова́жив.

15 And Israel grew fat and kicked; he became rich and mighty, he gained wealth; then he forsook God who made him, and reviled the Mighty One who had saved him.

16 Чужими богами Його роздражни́ли, Його розгніви́ли своїми гидо́тами.

16 They provoked him to zealousness with strange gods, they made him angry with idols.

17 Вони де́монам жертви складали, не Богу, складали бога́м, що не відали їх, нови́м, що недавно прийшли, — не лякалися їх батьки ваші!

17 They sacrificed to demons that were not gods; to gods whom they knew not, to new gods that were just made. whom your fathers had never worshipped.

18 Забуваєш ти Ске́лю, Яка породила тебе, і забуваєш ти Бога, що тебе народив.

18 But you forsook the Mighty One who bore you, and you forgot the God who made you glorious.

19 I побачив Госпо́дь, та й знена́видів їх, через гнів на синів Своїх і на дочо́к Своїх,

19 And the LORD saw it, and was angry, because his sons and daughters provoked him.

20 та й сказав: „Лице Я Своє заховаю від них, побачу, який їх кіне́ць, бо вони покоління розбе́щене, діти, що в них нема віри.

20 And he said, I will turn away my face from them, I will see what their end will be; for they are a perverse generation, children in whom is no faith.

21 Роздражни́ли Мене вони тим, хто не Бог, Мене розгніви́ли своїми марно́тами, тому роздражню́ Я їх тим, хто не наро́д, — нерозумним наро́дом розгніваю їх.

21 They have provoked me to zealousness with that which is not God; they have provoked me to anger with their idols; so I will move them to jealousy with those that are not my people; I will provoke them to anger with a foolish nation.

22 Бо був загорівся огонь Мого гні́ву, і пали́вся він аж до шео́лу найглибшого, і він землю поїв та її врожай, і спалив був підва́лини гір.

22 For a fire is kindled in my anger, and shall burn to the lowest parts of Sheol, and shall consume the earth and its increase, and set on fire the foundations of the mountains.

23 Я на них нагрома́джу нещастя, зуживу́ Свої стріли на них.

23 I will heap mischiefs upon them; I will spend my arrows upon them.

24 Будуть ви́снажені вони голодом, і поїджені будуть огнем та зара́зою лютою, і зу́ба звіри́ни нашлю́ Я на них, з отрутою плазуні́в по землі.

25 Надворі́ забива́тиме меч, а в кімна́тах — страхі́ття, як юнака́, так і ді́вчину, грудне́ немовля́ з чоловіком поси́вілим.

27 та це Я відклав з-за ворожого гніву, щоб проти́вники їх не згорди́лися, щоб вони не сказали: Підне́слася наша рука, і не Господь учинив усе це.

27 Had it not been for the wrath of the enemy, who had become strong, and had it not been for the boasting of the adversary, who would say, It is our hand that has prevailed, and the LORD has not done all this, I would have blotted them out.

28 Бо вони — люд безрадний, і нема в них розумува́ння.

39 Побачте тепер, що Я — Я є Той, і Бога немає крім Мене. Побиваю й ожи́влюю Я, і не врятує ніхто від Моєї руки.

40 Бо до неба підно́шу Я руку Свою та й кажу́: Я навіки Живий!

42 I will make my arrows drunk with blood, and my sword shall devour flesh, with the blood of the slain and of the captives, from the crown of the head of the enemy.

43 Радійте, погани, з наро́дом Його, бо Він відімсти́ться за кров Своїх всіх рабів, і пі́мсту поверне Своїм ворогам, і ви́купить землю Свою, Свій наро́д“.

43 Therefore praise his people, O you nations; for the blood of his servants shall be avenged, and he will take vengeance upon his adversaries, and will give absolution to his land and to his people.

44 І прийшов Мойсей, і промовляв всі слова́ цієї пісні до ушей наро́ду, він та Ісус, син Нави́нів.

44 And Moses came and recited all the words of this song before the people, he and Joshua the son of Nun.

45 А коли Мойсей скінчи́в промовляти всі ці слова до всього Ізраїля,

45 And when Moses had finished reciting all these words to all Israel,

46 то сказав він до них: „Приложіть свої серця́ до всіх тих слів, які я сьогодні чинив свідками проти вас, що ви накажете їх своїм синам, щоб додержували виконувати всі слова́ цього Зако́ну.

46 He said to them, Set your hearts to all the words which I testify among you this day, which you shall command your children to do, all the words of this law.

47 Бо це для вас не слово порожнє, — воно життя ваше, і цим словом ви продо́вжите дні на цій землі, куди ви перехо́дите Йордан, щоб посісти її“.

47 For it is not a vain thing for you, because it is your life; and through this thing you shall prolong your days in the land which you are crossing the Jordan to possess.

48 І Господь промовляв до Мойсея того самого дня, говорячи:

48 And the LORD spoke to Moses that same day, saying,

49 „Вийди на ту го́ру Аварім, на гору Нево́, що в моавському кра́ї, що навпроти Єрихону, і побач ханаанський край, що Я даю Ізраїлевим синам на володіння.

49 Go up into this mountain of the Abraye, into mount Nebo, which is in the land of Moab, that is over toward Jericho; and view the land of Canaan, which I give to the children of Israel as a possession:

50 І вмри на горі, куди ти вийдеш, і долучися до своєї рідні, як помер був твій брат Ааро́н на Гор-горі, і долучився до своєї рідні,

50 And die on the mountain which you ascend, and be gathered to your people; as Aaron your brother died on mount Hor, and was gathered to his people:

51 за те, що ви спроневі́рилися були Мені серед Ізраїлевих синів при воді Меріви в Кадешу на пустині Цін, за те, що ви не освятили Мене серед Ізра́їлевих синів.

51 Because you transgressed against me among the children of Israel at the waters of Mesotha which is at Rakim, in the wilderness of Zin; because you did not sanctify me in the midst of the children of Israel.

52 Бо знавпроти побачиш ти той край, та не вві́йдеш туди, до того кра́ю, що Я даю Ізраїлевим синам“.

52 Yet you shall see the land before you, which I give to the children of Israel; but you shall not enter there.
