2 І було для позосталих Манасіїних синів за їхніми ро́дами: синам Авіезера, і синам Хелека, і синам Азріїла, і синам Шехема, і синам Хефера, і синам Шеміда. Оце сини Манасії, Йо́сипового сина, му́жі, за їхніми ро́дами. |
|
3 А в Целофхада, сина Хефера, сина Ґілеада, сина Махіра, сина Манасіїного, не було в нього синів, а тільки до́чки. А оце імена́ його дочо́к: Махла, і Ноа, і Хоґла, Мілка та Тірца. |
|
4 І прийшли́ вони до священика Елеазара, і до Ісуса, Навинового сина, та перед начальників, говорячи: „Госпо́дь наказав був Мойсеєві дати нам спа́док серед наших братів“. І дав їм на Господній наказ спа́док серед братів їхнього батька. |
|
5 І випало для Манасії десять наділів, окрім землі Ґілеаду та Башану, що по той бік Йорда́ну, |
|
6 бо Манасіїні до́чки посіли спа́док серед синів його, а гілеадський край був для позосталих Манасіїних синів. |
|
7 І була Манасіїна границя від Ашер-Гамміхметату, що навпроти Сигему, і йде та границя на пі́вдень до мешканців Ен-Таппуаху. |
|
8 Для Манасії був край Таппуах, а місто Таппуах при Манасіїній границі — для Єфремових синів. |
|
9 І сходить та границя до потоку Кана, на південь від потоку. Ці міста́ Єфре́мові серед Манасіїних міст. А границя Манасії від пі́вночі до потоку, а кінча́лася при морі. |
|
10 На пі́вдень — Єфремове, а на пі́вніч — Манасіїне, а границею того було море. А в Аси́рі вони стикалися з пі́вночі, а в Іссаха́рі зо сходу. |
|
11 І було для Манасії в Іссахарі та в Асирі: Бет-Шеан та його залежні міста, і Ївлеам та його залежні міста, і ме́шканці Доару та його залежні міста, і мешканці Таанаху та його залежні міста, і мешканці Меґіддо та його залежні міста, три верховини. |
|
12 Та Манасіїні сини не могли повиганяти ме́шканців цих міст, і ханаане́янин продовжував сидіти в тому кра́ї. |
|
13 І сталося, коли Ізраїлеві сини стали сильні, то дали ханаанеянина на дани́ну, а вигнати — не вигнали його. |
|
14 І говорили Йо́сипові сини з Ісусом, кажучи: „Чому ти дав мені на спа́док один жеребо́к та наділ один, а я ж народ числе́нний, бо до цього ча́су благослови́в мене Господь“. |
|
15 І сказав до них Ісус: „Якщо ти народ числе́нний, то піди до лісу, та й повикорчо́вуєш собі там у кра́ї періззе́янина та рефаїв, бо Єфремова гора стала тісна́ для тебе“. |
|
16 І сказали Йо́сипові сини: „Не ви́стачить нам тієї гори, та й залізна колесни́ця в кожного ханаане́янина, що сидить у долині, як у того, що в Бет-Шеані та в його залежних містах, так і в того, що в долині Ізрее́льській“. |
|
17 І сказав Ісус до Йо́сипового дому, до Єфрема та до Манасії, говорячи: „Ти числе́нний народ, і в тебе сила велика, — не буде тобі один жеребо́к, |
|
18 але буде тобі гористий край; а що там ліс, то ви́корчуй його, і будуть тобі й його кі́нці. Бо ти виженеш ханаане́янина, хоч у нього колесни́ці залізні, хоч він сильни́й“. |

1 AND Gilead became the lot for the tribe of Manasseh; for he was the first-born of Joseph; to Machir the first-born of Manasseh, the father of Gilead; because he was the first-born and a man of war, therefore he had Gilead and Mathnin. |
|
2 And became also the portion for the rest of the children of Manasseh by their families; for the descendants of Abiezer and for the descendants of Helek and for the descendants of Neshrael and for the descendants of Shopam and for the descendants of Hepher and for the descendants of Shemida; these were the male children of Manasseh the son of Joseph by their families. |
|
3 But Zelophehad, the son of Hepher, the son of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh, had no sons, but daughters; and these are the names of his daughters, Mahlah, and Joah, Hoglah, Milcah and Tirzah. |
|
4 And they came near before Eleazar the priest, and before Joshua the son of Nun, and before the princes of Israel, saying, The LORD commanded Moses to give us an inheritance among our brethren; so he gave us according to the command of the LORD, among the brothers of our father. Now therefore give us an inheritance among the brethren of our father. So Joshua gave them an inheritance among the brethren of their father. |

5 And there fell ten portions to Manasseh, besides the land of Gilead and Mathnin, which were on the other side of the Jordan; |
|
6 Because the daughters of Manasseh received an inheritance among his sons; and the land of Gilead fell to the lot of the rest of the sons of Manasseh. |
|
7 And the border of Manasseh was from the boundary of Maacath, which lies on the right hand of the inhabitants of En-tappuah. |
|
8 Thus their land was in the region of Tappuah and Patah, which became the boundary to the descendants of Manasseh the son of Joseph, and to the Ephraimites; |
|
9 And the boundary went down to the river of the Sea, to the south of the river of the cities which belong to Ephraim among the cities of Manasseh; and the border of Manasseh ran on the north side of the river, and the outgoings thereof reached to the sea; |
|
10 The land to the south went to Ephraim, and that to the north to Manasseh, and the sea as their border; and they met together in Asher on the north, and in Issachar on the east. |
|
11 And Manasseh had opposite Issachar and Asher, Beth-shean and its towns, and Neb-leam and its towns, and En-dor and its towns, and Taanach and its towns, and Megiddo and its towns, three districts. |
|
12 Yet the Israelites could not destroy these cities, because the Canaanites took refuge and dwelt in them. |
|
13 But when the children of Israel became strong, they subdued the Canaanites and made them pay tribute; but did not utterly destroy them. |
|
14 And the descendants of Joseph spoke to Joshua, saying, Why have you given us but one portion to inherit, seeing we are a numerous people, forasmuch as the LORD has blessed us hitherto? |
|
15 Joshua said to them, If you are a numerous people, then go up on the side of the mountain, and choose for yourselves a portion in the land of the Perizzites and of the giants, if mount Ephraim is too narrow for you. |
|
16 And the descendants of Joseph said, The mountain and the cities of the Perizzites are not enough for us; for the Canaanites still dwell in the land of the valley, and in Beth-shean and its towns, and in the valley of Jezreel. |
|
17 Then Joshua spoke to the house of Joseph, even to Ephraim and Manasseh, saying, You are a numerous people, and have a great power; if one portion is not enough for you, |
|
18 Then choose for yourselves the mountain, and it will be enough for you, and the slopes of the mountain and its limits shall be yours; and you shall destroy the Canaanites and the Perizzites, though they have great iron chariots, and though they are strong. |

1 AND Gilead became the lot for the tribe of Manasseh; for he was the first-born of Joseph; to Machir the first-born of Manasseh, the father of Gilead; because he was the first-born and a man of war, therefore he had Gilead and Mathnin. |

2 І було для позосталих Манасіїних синів за їхніми ро́дами: синам Авіезера, і синам Хелека, і синам Азріїла, і синам Шехема, і синам Хефера, і синам Шеміда. Оце сини Манасії, Йо́сипового сина, му́жі, за їхніми ро́дами. |
2 And became also the portion for the rest of the children of Manasseh by their families; for the descendants of Abiezer and for the descendants of Helek and for the descendants of Neshrael and for the descendants of Shopam and for the descendants of Hepher and for the descendants of Shemida; these were the male children of Manasseh the son of Joseph by their families. |

3 А в Целофхада, сина Хефера, сина Ґілеада, сина Махіра, сина Манасіїного, не було в нього синів, а тільки до́чки. А оце імена́ його дочо́к: Махла, і Ноа, і Хоґла, Мілка та Тірца. |
3 But Zelophehad, the son of Hepher, the son of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh, had no sons, but daughters; and these are the names of his daughters, Mahlah, and Joah, Hoglah, Milcah and Tirzah. |

4 І прийшли́ вони до священика Елеазара, і до Ісуса, Навинового сина, та перед начальників, говорячи: „Госпо́дь наказав був Мойсеєві дати нам спа́док серед наших братів“. І дав їм на Господній наказ спа́док серед братів їхнього батька. |
4 And they came near before Eleazar the priest, and before Joshua the son of Nun, and before the princes of Israel, saying, The LORD commanded Moses to give us an inheritance among our brethren; so he gave us according to the command of the LORD, among the brothers of our father. Now therefore give us an inheritance among the brethren of our father. So Joshua gave them an inheritance among the brethren of their father. |

5 І випало для Манасії десять наділів, окрім землі Ґілеаду та Башану, що по той бік Йорда́ну, |
5 And there fell ten portions to Manasseh, besides the land of Gilead and Mathnin, which were on the other side of the Jordan; |
|
6 бо Манасіїні до́чки посіли спа́док серед синів його, а гілеадський край був для позосталих Манасіїних синів. |
6 Because the daughters of Manasseh received an inheritance among his sons; and the land of Gilead fell to the lot of the rest of the sons of Manasseh. |
|
7 І була Манасіїна границя від Ашер-Гамміхметату, що навпроти Сигему, і йде та границя на пі́вдень до мешканців Ен-Таппуаху. |
7 And the border of Manasseh was from the boundary of Maacath, which lies on the right hand of the inhabitants of En-tappuah. |
|
8 Для Манасії був край Таппуах, а місто Таппуах при Манасіїній границі — для Єфремових синів. |

9 І сходить та границя до потоку Кана, на південь від потоку. Ці міста́ Єфре́мові серед Манасіїних міст. А границя Манасії від пі́вночі до потоку, а кінча́лася при морі. |
9 And the boundary went down to the river of the Sea, to the south of the river of the cities which belong to Ephraim among the cities of Manasseh; and the border of Manasseh ran on the north side of the river, and the outgoings thereof reached to the sea; |

10 На пі́вдень — Єфремове, а на пі́вніч — Манасіїне, а границею того було море. А в Аси́рі вони стикалися з пі́вночі, а в Іссаха́рі зо сходу. |
10 The land to the south went to Ephraim, and that to the north to Manasseh, and the sea as their border; and they met together in Asher on the north, and in Issachar on the east. |
|
11 І було для Манасії в Іссахарі та в Асирі: Бет-Шеан та його залежні міста, і Ївлеам та його залежні міста, і ме́шканці Доару та його залежні міста, і мешканці Таанаху та його залежні міста, і мешканці Меґіддо та його залежні міста, три верховини. |
11 And Manasseh had opposite Issachar and Asher, Beth-shean and its towns, and Neb-leam and its towns, and En-dor and its towns, and Taanach and its towns, and Megiddo and its towns, three districts. |

12 Та Манасіїні сини не могли повиганяти ме́шканців цих міст, і ханаане́янин продовжував сидіти в тому кра́ї. |
12 Yet the Israelites could not destroy these cities, because the Canaanites took refuge and dwelt in them. |
|
13 І сталося, коли Ізраїлеві сини стали сильні, то дали ханаанеянина на дани́ну, а вигнати — не вигнали його. |
13 But when the children of Israel became strong, they subdued the Canaanites and made them pay tribute; but did not utterly destroy them. |
|
14 І говорили Йо́сипові сини з Ісусом, кажучи: „Чому ти дав мені на спа́док один жеребо́к та наділ один, а я ж народ числе́нний, бо до цього ча́су благослови́в мене Господь“. |
14 And the descendants of Joseph spoke to Joshua, saying, Why have you given us but one portion to inherit, seeing we are a numerous people, forasmuch as the LORD has blessed us hitherto? |
|
15 І сказав до них Ісус: „Якщо ти народ числе́нний, то піди до лісу, та й повикорчо́вуєш собі там у кра́ї періззе́янина та рефаїв, бо Єфремова гора стала тісна́ для тебе“. |
15 Joshua said to them, If you are a numerous people, then go up on the side of the mountain, and choose for yourselves a portion in the land of the Perizzites and of the giants, if mount Ephraim is too narrow for you. |

16 І сказали Йо́сипові сини: „Не ви́стачить нам тієї гори, та й залізна колесни́ця в кожного ханаане́янина, що сидить у долині, як у того, що в Бет-Шеані та в його залежних містах, так і в того, що в долині Ізрее́льській“. |
16 And the descendants of Joseph said, The mountain and the cities of the Perizzites are not enough for us; for the Canaanites still dwell in the land of the valley, and in Beth-shean and its towns, and in the valley of Jezreel. |

17 І сказав Ісус до Йо́сипового дому, до Єфрема та до Манасії, говорячи: „Ти числе́нний народ, і в тебе сила велика, — не буде тобі один жеребо́к, |
17 Then Joshua spoke to the house of Joseph, even to Ephraim and Manasseh, saying, You are a numerous people, and have a great power; if one portion is not enough for you, |
|
18 але буде тобі гористий край; а що там ліс, то ви́корчуй його, і будуть тобі й його кі́нці. Бо ти виженеш ханаане́янина, хоч у нього колесни́ці залізні, хоч він сильни́й“. |
18 Then choose for yourselves the mountain, and it will be enough for you, and the slopes of the mountain and its limits shall be yours; and you shall destroy the Canaanites and the Perizzites, though they have great iron chariots, and though they are strong. |
