2 та й промовиш: Послухай Господнього слова, о ца́рю юдейський, що сидиш на Давидовім троні, ти й раби твої та наро́д твій, що входите в бра́ми оці. |
|
3 Так говорить Господь: Чиніть правосу́ддя та правду, і рятуйте грабо́ваного від руки гноби́теля, чужинця́ ж, сироту та вдову́ не гнобі́ть, не грабу́йте, і крови невинної не проливайте на місці цьому́! |
|
4 Бо коли оце слово наспра́вді ви ви́конаєте, то ходитимуть бра́мами дому оцьо́го царі, що будуть сидіти на троні Давида, що їздити бу́дуть колесни́цями й кіньми, він і раб його та наро́д його. |
|
5 А якщо не послухаєтесь оцих слів, то клянуся Собою — говорить Госпо́дь: руїною ста́неться дім цей! |
|
6 Бо так промовляє Госпо́дь про дім царя Юди: Ти для Мене Ґілеа́д, щит Ліва́ну, та поправді кажу́ Я, — тебе оберну́ на пустиню, на міста́ незасе́лені! |
|
7 І приготу́ю на тебе отих, що руйнують люди́ну та збро́ю її, і вони твої ке́дри добі́рні зітну́ть і їх повкида́ють в огонь! |
|
8 І люди числе́нні ходитимуть містом оцим і будуть казати один до одно́го: За́що Господь зробив так цьому місту великому? |
|
9 І відкажуть: За те, що вони поки́нули заповіта Господа, Бога Свого, і вклонялися іншим богам, і служили їм. |
|
10 Не плачте за вмерлим, і не жалку́йте за ним, — але плакати — плачте за тим, хто відходить в поло́н, бо вже не пове́рнеться, і не побачить землі, де він народився. |
|
11 Бо так промовляє Господь до Шаллу́ма, сина Йосіїного, царя Юдиного, що царював замість Йосі́ї, свого ба́тька, що вийшов із місця цього́: Він сюди вже не ве́рнеться! |
|
12 Бо помре він у місці, куди його полони́ли, Кра́ю ж цього́ не побачить уже. |
|
13 Горе тому́, хто несправедливістю дім свій будує, а верхні кімна́ти — безпра́в'ям, хто каже своєму ближньому працювати даре́мно, і платні́ його йому не дає, |
|
14 що говорить: Збудую собі дім великий, і верхні кімна́ти широкі!“ І ві́кна собі повиру́бує, й криє кедри́ною, і малю́є червоною фарбою. |
|
15 Чи ти зацарюєш тому́, що в ке́драх ти ме́шкаєш? Чи ж твій ба́тько не їв та не пив? І коли правосу́ддя та правду чинив він, тоді було добре йому́, — |
|
16 він розсу́джував справу нужде́нного й бідного, й тоді добре було́! Чи не це — Мене знати? говорить Госпо́дь. |
|
17 Хіба твої очі та серце твоє не обе́рнені тільки на ко́ристь свою́, та щоб пролива́ти кров невинну, і щоб гніт та насилля чинити? |
|
18 Тому так промовляє Госпо́дь про Єгояки́ма, Йосіїного сина, царя Юдиного: Не будуть за ним голосити: „О мій брате!“ й „О се́стро!“ Не будуть за ним голосити: „О пане" й „О вели́чносте його!“ |
|
19 Поховають його, немов того осла, воло́чачи та викидаючи геть за брами Єрусалиму. |
|
20 Зійди на Лива́н та й кричи, і в Баша́ні свій голос подай, і кричи з Аварі́му, бо пони́щені всі твої дру́зі. |
|
21 Говорив Я тобі в час гара́зду твого́, але ти каза́ла: „Не слу́хатиму!“ Це доро́га твоя від юна́цтва твого́, бо не слухалась ти Мого голосу. |
|
22 Усіх твоїх па́стирів буря розки́дає, а коха́нці твої підуть до полону, — справді, тоді посоро́млена та побенте́жена будеш за все своє зло! |
|
23 О ти, що сидиш на Ливані, що ку́блишся в ке́драх, — як ти бу́деш стогна́ти, як бо́лі й дрижа́ння на тебе спаду́ть, мов на ту породі́ллю! |
|
24 Як живий Я, — говорить Госпо́дь, — коли б був Коні́я, син Єгоякимів, цар Юдин, печа́ткою-пе́рснем на правій руці Моїй, — справді Я й звідти тебе зірву́! |
|
25 І дам Я тебе в руку тих, хто шукає твоєї душі, і в руку тих, що боїшся ти їх, і в руку Навуходоно́сора, царя вавилонського, і в руку халде́їв. |
|
26 І кину тебе й твою матір, яка породила тебе́, до іншого кра́ю, де ви не зроди́лись, — і там — ви повмира́єте! |
|
27 А до Кра́ю, куди вони пра́гнуть душею своєю верну́тись, — туди не пове́рнуться! |
|
28 Чи муж цей, Коні́я, — це гли́няний по́суд, пого́рджений та розпоро́шений? Хіба він посу́дина та непотрі́бна? Чом відкинені він та насі́ння його́, та й закинені в землю, якої не знають? |
|
29 О Кра́ю, мій Кра́ю, о Кра́ю, — послухай Господнього сло́ва: |
|
30 Так говорить Госпо́дь: Запишіть люди́ну оцю самі́тною, мужем, якому не буде щасти́тись у днях його, бо ніко́му з насіння його не пощасти́ться сидіти на троні Давидовім та панувати ще в Юді! |

1 THUS says the LORD: GO down to the house of the king of Judah and speak there this word, and say, |
|
2 Hear the word of the LORD, O king of Judah, who sits on the throne of David, you and your servants and your people who enter by these gates; |
|
3 Thus says the LORD: Execute justice and righteousness, and deliver the oppressed from the hand of the oppressor; and do no wrong, do no violence to the strangers, the fatherless, and the widows, nor shed innocent blood in this place. |
|
4 For if you will do this thing indeed, then shall there enter in by the gates of this house kings who sit on the throne of David and princes who ride in chariots and on horses, a king and his servants and his people. |
|
5 But if you will not listen to these words, I swear by myself, says the LORD, that this house shall become a desolation. |
|
6 For thus says the LORD concerning the house of the king of Judah: You are like Gilead, like the head of Lebanon; but I will surely make you a desert, like an uninhabited city. |
|
7 And I will prepare destroyers against you, every one with his axe in his hand; and they shall cut down your choicest cedars and cast them into the fire. |
|
8 And many people shall pass by this city, and they shall say every man to his neighbor, Wherefore has the LORD done such a thing to this great city? |
|
9 Then they shall answer, Because they have forsaken the covenant of the LORD their God and worshipped other gods and served them. |
|
10 Weep not for the dead, nor bemoan him; but weep bitterly for him that goes away; for he shall return no more, nor see his native land. |
|
11 For thus says the LORD concerning Shallum the son of Josiah king of Judah, who reigned instead of Josiah his father and who went away from this country: He shall not return here any more; |
|
12 But he shall die in the country where they have carried him captive, and shall see this land no more. |
|
13 Woe to him who builds his house by unrighteousness and his upper rooms by injustice; who makes his neighbor work for him without wages, and does not give him his hire; |
|
14 Who says, I will build for myself wide houses with spacious upper rooms; and cuts out windows for them and covers them with cedar and paints them with vermilion. |
|
15 Shall you reign and rejoice by living in palaces built with cedar? Indeed, your father did eat and drink, but he also did justice and righteousness, therefore I did good to him. |
|
16 He did justice to the cause of the poor and needy; and he did well; he who does these things, knows me, says the LORD. |
|
17 But your eyes and your hearts are set for nothing else but for your wealth and for the shedding of innocent blood, and for oppression and for violence, to do it. |
|
18 Therefore thus says the LORD concerning Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah: They shall not mourn for him, nor shall they say, Ah my brother! Ah my brother! They shall not lament for him, saying, Ah lord! Ah lord! |
|
19 He shall be buried with the burial of an ass, dragged and cast forth beyond the gates of Jerusalem. |
|
20 Go up to Lebanon and cry; and lift up your voice in Mathnin and cry from the other side of the sea; for all your lovers are defeated. |
|
21 I spoke to you in your prosperity; but you said, I will not listen. This has been your way from your youth, you did not obey my voice. |
|
22 All of your shepherds shall be smitten by the east wind, and your lovers shall go into captivity; surely then you shall be ashamed and confounded for all your wickedness. |
|
23 O inhabitant of Lebanon, who makes her nest in the cedars, how you shall groan when pangs come upon you and the pain as of a woman in travail! |
|
24 As I live, says the LORD God, though Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah were the signet on my right hand, yet I would pull you off; |
|
25 And I will deliver you into the hand of the men who seek your life, and into the hand of those whose presence you fear, even into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and into the hand of the Chaldeans. |
|
26 And I will cast you out, and your mother who bore you, into another land, where you were not born; and there shall you die. |
|
27 But to the land to which you hope to return, thither you shall not come back. |
|
28 this Jecaniah is a little man and a fool, he is like a useless vessel; this is why he is carried away, he and his children, and cast into a land which he knows not. |
|
29 O earth, earth, earth, hear the word of the LORD! |
|
30 Thus says the LORD: Write this man down despised and childless, for none of his offspring shall prosper in his days, sitting upon the throne of David and ruling any more in Judah. |

1 THUS says the LORD: GO down to the house of the king of Judah and speak there this word, and say, |

2 та й промовиш: Послухай Господнього слова, о ца́рю юдейський, що сидиш на Давидовім троні, ти й раби твої та наро́д твій, що входите в бра́ми оці. |
2 Hear the word of the LORD, O king of Judah, who sits on the throne of David, you and your servants and your people who enter by these gates; |
|
3 Так говорить Господь: Чиніть правосу́ддя та правду, і рятуйте грабо́ваного від руки гноби́теля, чужинця́ ж, сироту та вдову́ не гнобі́ть, не грабу́йте, і крови невинної не проливайте на місці цьому́! |

9 І відкажуть: За те, що вони поки́нули заповіта Господа, Бога Свого, і вклонялися іншим богам, і служили їм. |

16 He did justice to the cause of the poor and needy; and he did well; he who does these things, knows me, says the LORD. |
|
17 Хіба твої очі та серце твоє не обе́рнені тільки на ко́ристь свою́, та щоб пролива́ти кров невинну, і щоб гніт та насилля чинити? |

27 But to the land to which you hope to return, thither you shall not come back. |

28 Чи муж цей, Коні́я, — це гли́няний по́суд, пого́рджений та розпоро́шений? Хіба він посу́дина та непотрі́бна? Чом відкинені він та насі́ння його́, та й закинені в землю, якої не знають? |
28 this Jecaniah is a little man and a fool, he is like a useless vessel; this is why he is carried away, he and his children, and cast into a land which he knows not. |

29 О Кра́ю, мій Кра́ю, о Кра́ю, — послухай Господнього сло́ва: |
29 O earth, earth, earth, hear the word of the LORD! |
|
