Розділ 4

1 А тепер, Ізра́їлю, послухай постанов та зако́нів, що я навчаю вас чинити, щоб жили́ ви, і ввійшли, й посіли цей край, що Господь, Бог батьків ваших, дає вам.

2 Не додава́йте до того, що я вам наказую, і не зменша́йте з того, щоб виконувати заповіді Господа, Бога вашого, що я наказав вам.

3 Очі ваші бачили те, що Господь зробив був з Ваалом пеорським, бо кожного чоловіка, що пішов за пеорським Ваалом, вигубив його Господь, Бог твій, з-посеред тебе.

4 А ви, що ли́нули до Господа, Бога вашого, усі ви живі сьогодні.

5 Дивіться, — навчив я вас постанов та зако́нів, як наказав мені Господь, Бог мій, чинити так серед того Кра́ю, куди ви входите, щоб посісти його.

6 Бережіть, і виконуйте їх, бо це мудрість ваша та ваш розум на оча́х наро́дів, що ви́слухають усіх постанов тих та й скажуть: Тільки він мудрий та розумний наро́д, цей великий люд!

7 Бо хто інший такий великий народ, що мав би богів, таких йому близьки́х, як Господь, Бог наш, кожного ра́зу, як ми кличемо до Нього?

8 І хто і́нший такий великий народ, що має постанови й зако́ни такі справедливі, як увесь той Зако́н, що я даю перед вами сьогодні?

9 Тільки стережися, і дуже пильнуй свою душу, щоб не забув ти тих речей, що бачили очі твої, і щоб вони не повихо́дили з серця твого по всі дні життя твого, а ти подаси їх до ві́дома синам твоїм та синам твоїх синів,

10 про день, коли стояв ти перед лицем Господа, Бога твого, на Хори́ві, як Господь говорив був до мене: „Збери Мені той народ, і вони слухатимуть слів Моїх, із яких навчаться боятися Мене по всі дні, скільки вони житимуть на землі, та й синів своїх понавча́ють“.

11 І поприхо́дили ви, та й поставали під горою, а гора та горіла огнем аж до самих небес, а при тому була темрява, хмара та мряка.

12 І промовляв Господь до вас із сере́дини огню, — голос слів ви чули, та виду ви не бачили, окрім голосу.

13 І Він оголосив перед вами заповіта Свого, що наказав вам чинити, — Десять Заповідей, і написав їх на двох камі́нних табли́цях.

14 А мені Господь наказав того ча́су навчати вас постанов та зако́нів, щоб виконували ви їх у краю́, куди ви перехо́дите володіти ним.

15 І бу́дете ви сильно стерегти свої душі, бо не бачили ви того дня жодної постаті, коли говорив Господь до вас на Хориві з сере́дини огню,

16 щоб ви не зіпсулися, і не зробили собі ідола на подобу якогось бовва́на, зобра́ження самця́ чи самиці,

17 зобра́ження всякої худобини, що на землі, зобра́ження всякого крилатого пта́ха, що літає під небом,

18 зобра́ження всякого плазу́ючого по землі, зобра́ження всякої риби, що в воді під землею,

19 і щоб ти, звівши очі свої до неба, і побачивши сонце, і місяць, і зорі, — усе військо небесне, щоб не був ти зве́дений і не вклонявся їм, і не служив їм; бо Господь, Бог твій, приділив їх усім наро́дам під усім небом.

20 А вас Господь узяв та й вивів вас із залізної гутни́чої пе́чі, — з Єгипту, щоб ви стали для Нього наро́дом наді́лу, як сьогодні це ви́дко.

21 А Господь був розгнівався на мене за ваші діла́, і поклявся, що не перейду́ я Йорда́ну, і не ввійду́ до того хорошого кра́ю, що Господь, Бог твій, дає тобі на спа́дщину.

22 Бо я умру в цьому кра́ї, я не перейду́ Йорда́ну, а ви пере́йдете й посядете той хороший край.

23 Стережіться, щоб не забули ви заповіту Господа, вашого Бога, якого склав з вами, щоб не зробили ви собі бовва́на на подобу всього, як наказав тобі Господь, Бог твій.

24 Бо Господь, Бог твій, — Він палю́чий огонь, Бог за́здрісний.

25 Коли ти породиш синів, і синів твоїх синів, і поста́рієте ви в краю́, і зіпсуєтеся, і зробите бовва́на на подобу чогось, і зробите зло в оча́х Господа, Бога свого, та Його розгнівите́,

27 І розпоро́шить вас Господь посеред народів, і будете ви нечисле́нні поміж людами, куди попрова́дить вас Господь.

28 І будете служити там богам, ділу рук лю́дських, дереву та каменеві, які не бачать, і не чують, і не їдять, і не нюхають.

29 Та коли ви будете шукати звідти Господа, Бога свого, то зна́йдете, якщо будете шукати Його всім серцем своїм та всією душею своєю.

30 Як будеш у біді своїй, і коли спіткають тебе в кінці днів усі оці речі, то ве́рнешся ти до Господа, Бога свого, і послухаєш Його голосу.

31 Бо Господь, Бог твій — Бог милости́вий: Він не залишить тебе й не знищить тебе, і не забуде заповіту батьків твоїх, яким їм присягнув був.

32 Бо питай но про перші дні, що були перше тебе, від того дня, коли Бог створив люди́ну на землі, і від кінця неба й аж до кінця неба, — чи бувало щось таке, як ця велика річ, або чи чуте було щось таке, як вона:

33 чи чув народ голос Бога, що говорив із сере́дини огню, як чув ти і жив?

34 Або чи намагався який бог піти взяти собі народ з-посеред іншого народу пробами, ознаками, і чудами, і війною, і сильною рукою, і раме́ном ви́тягненим, і стра́хами великими, як усе те, що зробив був вам Господь, Бог ваш, в Єгипті на оча́х твоїх?

35 Тобі було показане це, щоб ти пізнав, що Господь — Він Бог, і нема іншого, окрім Нього.

36 Він дав тобі з неба почути Його голос, щоб навчити тебе, а на землі показав тобі Свій великий огонь, і слова́ Його чув ти з сере́дини огню.

37 І тому, що кохав Він батьків твоїх, то вибрав їхнє насіння по них, і Сам Він вивів тебе Своєю великою силою з Єгипту,

40 І будеш пильнувати постанов Його та заповідей Його, що я наказую тобі сьогодні, щоб було добре тобі та синам твоїм по тобі, і щоб ти продо́вжив дні на землі, що Господь, Бог твій, дає тобі на всі дні".

41 Тоді виділив Мойсей три місті по той бік Йорда́ну на схід сонця,

42 щоб утікав туди убійник, що замордує свого ближнього ненароком, а він не був йому ворогом ні вчора, ані позавчора. І втече він до одно́го з цих міст, і буде жити:

44 І оце Зако́н, що Мойсей поклав перед Ізраїлевими синами,

2 You shall not add3254 to the word1697 which834 I command6680 you, neither3808 shall you diminish1639 ought from it, that you may keep8104 the commandments4687 of the LORD3068 your God430 which834 I command6680 you.

3 Your eyes5869 have seen7200 what853 834 the LORD3068 did6213 because of Baalpeor:1187 for all3605 the men376 that followed1980 310 Baalpeor,1187 the LORD3068 your God430 has destroyed8045 them from among7130 you.

4 But you that did join1695 to the LORD3068 your God430 are alive2416 every3605 one of you this day.3117

5 Behold,7200 I have taught3925 you statutes2706 and judgments,4941 even as the LORD3068 my God430 commanded6680 me, that you should do6213 so3651 in the land776 where834 8033 you go935 to possess3423 it.

6 Keep8104 therefore and do6213 them; for this1931 is your wisdom2451 and your understanding998 in the sight5869 of the nations,5971 which834 shall hear8085 all3605 these428 statutes,2706 and say,559 Surely this2088 great1419 nation1471 is a wise2450 and understanding995 people.5971

7 For what4310 nation1471 is there so great,1419 who834 has God430 so near7126 to them, as the LORD3068 our God430 is in all3605 things that we call7121 on him for?

8 And what4310 nation1471 is there so great,1419 that has statutes2706 and judgments4941 so righteous6662 as all3605 this2063 law,8451 which834 I set5414 before6440 you this day?3117

9 Only7535 take heed8104 to yourself, and keep8104 your soul5315 diligently,3966 lest6435 you forget7911 the things1697 which834 your eyes5869 have seen,7200 and lest6435 they depart5493 from your heart3824 all3605 the days3117 of your life:2416 but teach3045 them your sons,1121 and your sons'1121 sons;1121

10 Specially the day3117 that you stood5975 before6440 the LORD3068 your God430 in Horeb,2722 when the LORD3068 said559 to me, Gather6950 me the people5971 together, and I will make them hear8085 my words,1697 that they may learn3925 to fear3372 me all3605 the days3117 that they shall live2416 on the earth,127 and that they may teach3925 their children.1121

11 And you came7126 near7126 and stood5975 under8478 the mountain;2022 and the mountain2022 burned1197 with fire784 to the middle3820 of heaven,8064 with darkness,2822 clouds,6051 and thick darkness.6205

12 And the LORD3068 spoke1696 to you out of the middle8432 of the fire:784 you heard8085 the voice6963 of the words,1697 but saw7200 no369 similitude;8544 only2108 you heard8085 a voice.6963

13 And he declared5046 to you his covenant,1285 which834 he commanded6680 you to perform,6213 even ten6235 commandments;1697 and he wrote3789 them on two8147 tables3871 of stone.68

14 And the LORD3068 commanded6680 me at that time6256 to teach3925 you statutes2706 and judgments,4941 that you might do6213 them in the land776 where834 8033 you go5674 over5674 to possess3423 it.

15 Take you therefore good3966 heed8104 to yourselves;5315 for you saw7200 no3808 manner of similitude8544 on5921 the day3117 that the LORD3068 spoke1696 to you in Horeb2722 out of the middle8432 of the fire:784

16 Lest6435 you corrupt7843 yourselves, and make6213 you a graven6459 image, the similitude8544 of any3605 figure,5566 the likeness8403 of male2145 or176 female,5347

17 The likeness8403 of any3605 beast929 that is on5921 the earth,776 the likeness8403 of any3605 winged3671 fowl6833 that flies5774 in the air,8064

18 The likeness8403 of any3605 thing that creeps7430 on5921 the ground,127 the likeness8403 of any3605 fish1710 that is in the waters4325 beneath8478 the earth:776

19 And lest6435 you lift5375 up your eyes5869 to heaven,8064 and when you see7200 the sun,8121 and the moon,3394 and the stars,3556 even all3605 the host6635 of heaven,8064 should be driven5080 to worship7812 them, and serve5647 them, which834 the LORD3068 your God430 has divided2505 to all3605 nations5971 under8478 the whole3605 heaven.8064

20 But the LORD3068 has taken3947 you, and brought3318 you forth3318 out of the iron1270 furnace,3564 even out of Egypt,4714 to be to him a people5971 of inheritance,5159 as you are this2088 day.3117

21 Furthermore the LORD3068 was angry599 with me for your sakes,1697 and swore7650 that I should not go5674 over5674 Jordan,3383 and that I should not go935 in to that good2896 land,776 which834 the LORD3068 your God430 gives5414 you for an inheritance:5159

22 But I must die4191 in this2088 land,776 I must not go5674 over5674 Jordan:3383 but you shall go5674 over,5674 and possess3423 that good2896 land.776

23 Take heed8104 to yourselves, lest6435 you forget7911 the covenant1285 of the LORD3068 your God,430 which834 he made with you, and make6213 you a graven6459 image, or the likeness8544 of any3605 thing, which834 the LORD3068 your God430 has forbidden6680 you.

24 For the LORD3068 your God430 is a consuming398 fire,784 even a jealous7067 God.410

25 When3588 you shall beget3205 children,1121 and children's children,1121 and you shall have remained3462 long in the land,776 and shall corrupt7843 yourselves, and make6213 a graven6459 image, or the likeness8544 of any3605 thing, and shall do6213 evil7451 in the sight5869 of the LORD3068 your God,430 to provoke him to anger:3707

26 I call5749 heaven8064 and earth776 to witness5749 against you this day,3117 that you shall soon4116 utterly perish6 from off5921 the land776 whereunto834 you go5674 over5674 Jordan3383 to possess3423 it; you shall not prolong748 your days3117 on it, but shall utterly be destroyed.8045

27 And the LORD3068 shall scatter6327 you among the nations,5971 and you shall be left7604 few4962 in number4557 among the heathen,1471 where834 8033 the LORD3068 shall lead5090 you.

28 And there8033 you shall serve5647 gods,430 the work4639 of men's120 hands,3027 wood6086 and stone,68 which834 neither3808 see,7200 nor3808 hear,8085 nor3808 eat,398 nor3808 smell.7306

29 But if from there8033 you shall seek1245 the LORD3068 your God,430 you shall find4672 him, if3588 you seek1875 him with all3605 your heart3824 and with all3605 your soul.5315

30 When you are in tribulation,6862 and all3605 these428 things1697 are come4672 on you, even in the latter319 days,3117 if you turn7725 to the LORD3068 your God,430 and shall be obedient8085 to his voice;6963

31 (For the LORD3068 your God430 is a merciful7349 God;410) he will not forsake7503 you, neither3808 destroy7843 you, nor3808 forget7911 the covenant1285 of your fathers1 which834 he swore7650 to them.

32 For ask7592 now4994 of the days3117 that are past,7223 which834 were before6440 you, since4480 the day3117 that God430 created1254 man120 on the earth,776 and ask from the one side7097 of heaven8064 to the other, whether there has been1961 any such thing as this2088 great1419 thing1697 is, or176 has been heard8085 like3644 it?

33 Did ever people5971 hear8085 the voice6963 of God430 speaking1696 out of the middle8432 of the fire,784 as you have heard,8085 and live?2421

34 Or176 has God430 assayed5254 to go935 and take3947 him a nation1471 from the middle7130 of another nation,1471 by temptations,4531 by signs,226 and by wonders,4159 and by war,4421 and by a mighty2389 hand,3027 and by a stretched5186 out arm,2220 and by great1419 terrors,4172 according to all3605 that the LORD3068 your God430 did6213 for you in Egypt4714 before your eyes?5869

35 To you it was showed,7200 that you might know3045 that the LORD3068 he is God;430 there is none369 else5750 beside905 him.

36 Out of heaven8064 he made you to hear8085 his voice,6963 that he might instruct3256 you: and on earth776 he showed7200 you his great1419 fire;784 and you heard8085 his words1697 out of the middle8432 of the fire.784

37 And because8478 3588 he loved157 your fathers,1 therefore he chose977 their seed2233 after310 them, and brought3318 you out in his sight6440 with his mighty1419 power3581 out of Egypt;4714

38 To drive3423 out nations1471 from before6440 you greater1419 and mightier6099 than you are, to bring935 you in, to give5414 you their land776 for an inheritance,5159 as it is this2088 day.3117

39 Know3045 therefore this day,3117 and consider7725 it in your heart,3824 that the LORD3068 he is God430 in heaven8064 above,4605 and on the earth776 beneath:8478 there is none369 else.5750

40 You shall keep8104 therefore his statutes,2706 and his commandments,4687 which834 I command6680 you this day,3117 that it may go well3190 with you, and with your children1121 after310 you, and that you may prolong748 your days3117 on the earth,127 which834 the LORD3068 your God430 gives5414 you, for ever.3605 3117

41 Then227 Moses4872 severed914 three7969 cities5892 on5921 this side5676 Jordan3383 toward the sun8121 rise;4217

42 That the slayer7523 might flee5127 thither,8033 which834 should kill7523 his neighbor7453 unawares,1097 1847 and hated8130 him not in times8543 past;8032 and that fleeing5127 to one259 of these411 cities5892 he might live:2425

43 Namely, Bezer1221 in the wilderness,4057 in the plain4334 country,776 of the Reubenites;7206 and Ramoth7216 in Gilead,1568 of the Gadites;1425 and Golan1474 in Bashan,1316 of the Manassites.4520

44 And this2063 is the law8451 which834 Moses4872 set7760 before6440 the children1121 of Israel:3478

45 These428 are the testimonies,5713 and the statutes,2706 and the judgments,4941 which834 Moses4872 spoke1696 to the children1121 of Israel,3478 after they came3318 forth3318 out of Egypt.4714

46 On5921 this side5676 Jordan,3383 in the valley1516 over4136 against4136 Bethpeor,1047 in the land776 of Sihon5511 king4428 of the Amorites,567 who834 dwelled3427 at Heshbon,2809 whom834 Moses4872 and the children1121 of Israel3478 smote,5221 after they were come3318 forth3318 out of Egypt:4714

47 And they possessed3423 his land,776 and the land776 of Og5747 king4428 of Bashan,1316 two8147 kings4428 of the Amorites,567 which834 were on5921 this side5676 Jordan3383 toward the sun8121 rise;4217

11 І поприхо́дили ви, та й поставали під горою, а гора та горіла огнем аж до самих небес, а при тому була темрява, хмара та мряка.

13 І Він оголосив перед вами заповіта Свого, що наказав вам чинити, — Десять Заповідей, і написав їх на двох камі́нних табли́цях.

13 And he declared5046 to you his covenant,1285 which834 he commanded6680 you to perform,6213 even ten6235 commandments;1697 and he wrote3789 them on two8147 tables3871 of stone.68

14 А мені Господь наказав того ча́су навчати вас постанов та зако́нів, щоб виконували ви їх у краю́, куди ви перехо́дите володіти ним.

14 And the LORD3068 commanded6680 me at that time6256 to teach3925 you statutes2706 and judgments,4941 that you might do6213 them in the land776 where834 8033 you go5674 over5674 to possess3423 it.

15 І бу́дете ви сильно стерегти свої душі, бо не бачили ви того дня жодної постаті, коли говорив Господь до вас на Хориві з сере́дини огню,

15 Take you therefore good3966 heed8104 to yourselves;5315 for you saw7200 no3808 manner of similitude8544 on5921 the day3117 that the LORD3068 spoke1696 to you in Horeb2722 out of the middle8432 of the fire:784

16 щоб ви не зіпсулися, і не зробили собі ідола на подобу якогось бовва́на, зобра́ження самця́ чи самиці,

16 Lest6435 you corrupt7843 yourselves, and make6213 you a graven6459 image, the similitude8544 of any3605 figure,5566 the likeness8403 of male2145 or176 female,5347

17 зобра́ження всякої худобини, що на землі, зобра́ження всякого крилатого пта́ха, що літає під небом,

17 The likeness8403 of any3605 beast929 that is on5921 the earth,776 the likeness8403 of any3605 winged3671 fowl6833 that flies5774 in the air,8064

18 зобра́ження всякого плазу́ючого по землі, зобра́ження всякої риби, що в воді під землею,

18 The likeness8403 of any3605 thing that creeps7430 on5921 the ground,127 the likeness8403 of any3605 fish1710 that is in the waters4325 beneath8478 the earth:776

19 і щоб ти, звівши очі свої до неба, і побачивши сонце, і місяць, і зорі, — усе військо небесне, щоб не був ти зве́дений і не вклонявся їм, і не служив їм; бо Господь, Бог твій, приділив їх усім наро́дам під усім небом.

19 And lest6435 you lift5375 up your eyes5869 to heaven,8064 and when you see7200 the sun,8121 and the moon,3394 and the stars,3556 even all3605 the host6635 of heaven,8064 should be driven5080 to worship7812 them, and serve5647 them, which834 the LORD3068 your God430 has divided2505 to all3605 nations5971 under8478 the whole3605 heaven.8064

20 А вас Господь узяв та й вивів вас із залізної гутни́чої пе́чі, — з Єгипту, щоб ви стали для Нього наро́дом наді́лу, як сьогодні це ви́дко.

20 But the LORD3068 has taken3947 you, and brought3318 you forth3318 out of the iron1270 furnace,3564 even out of Egypt,4714 to be to him a people5971 of inheritance,5159 as you are this2088 day.3117

21 А Господь був розгнівався на мене за ваші діла́, і поклявся, що не перейду́ я Йорда́ну, і не ввійду́ до того хорошого кра́ю, що Господь, Бог твій, дає тобі на спа́дщину.

21 Furthermore the LORD3068 was angry599 with me for your sakes,1697 and swore7650 that I should not go5674 over5674 Jordan,3383 and that I should not go935 in to that good2896 land,776 which834 the LORD3068 your God430 gives5414 you for an inheritance:5159

22 Бо я умру в цьому кра́ї, я не перейду́ Йорда́ну, а ви пере́йдете й посядете той хороший край.

22 But I must die4191 in this2088 land,776 I must not go5674 over5674 Jordan:3383 but you shall go5674 over,5674 and possess3423 that good2896 land.776

23 Стережіться, щоб не забули ви заповіту Господа, вашого Бога, якого склав з вами, щоб не зробили ви собі бовва́на на подобу всього, як наказав тобі Господь, Бог твій.

23 Take heed8104 to yourselves, lest6435 you forget7911 the covenant1285 of the LORD3068 your God,430 which834 he made with you, and make6213 you a graven6459 image, or the likeness8544 of any3605 thing, which834 the LORD3068 your God430 has forbidden6680 you.

24 Бо Господь, Бог твій, — Він палю́чий огонь, Бог за́здрісний.

24 For the LORD3068 your God430 is a consuming398 fire,784 even a jealous7067 God.410

25 Коли ти породиш синів, і синів твоїх синів, і поста́рієте ви в краю́, і зіпсуєтеся, і зробите бовва́на на подобу чогось, і зробите зло в оча́х Господа, Бога свого, та Його розгнівите́,

25 When3588 you shall beget3205 children,1121 and children's children,1121 and you shall have remained3462 long in the land,776 and shall corrupt7843 yourselves, and make6213 a graven6459 image, or the likeness8544 of any3605 thing, and shall do6213 evil7451 in the sight5869 of the LORD3068 your God,430 to provoke him to anger:3707

26 то беру Я сьогодні за свідків проти вас небо й землю, що незаба́ром конче погинете в краю́, на вспадкува́ння якого ви перехо́дите туди Йорда́н. Не будуть довгі ваші дні в ньому, бо конче ви будете ви́гублені.

26 I call5749 heaven8064 and earth776 to witness5749 against you this day,3117 that you shall soon4116 utterly perish6 from off5921 the land776 whereunto834 you go5674 over5674 Jordan3383 to possess3423 it; you shall not prolong748 your days3117 on it, but shall utterly be destroyed.8045

27 І розпоро́шить вас Господь посеред народів, і будете ви нечисле́нні поміж людами, куди попрова́дить вас Господь.

27 And the LORD3068 shall scatter6327 you among the nations,5971 and you shall be left7604 few4962 in number4557 among the heathen,1471 where834 8033 the LORD3068 shall lead5090 you.

28 І будете служити там богам, ділу рук лю́дських, дереву та каменеві, які не бачать, і не чують, і не їдять, і не нюхають.

28 And there8033 you shall serve5647 gods,430 the work4639 of men's120 hands,3027 wood6086 and stone,68 which834 neither3808 see,7200 nor3808 hear,8085 nor3808 eat,398 nor3808 smell.7306

29 Та коли ви будете шукати звідти Господа, Бога свого, то зна́йдете, якщо будете шукати Його всім серцем своїм та всією душею своєю.

29 But if from there8033 you shall seek1245 the LORD3068 your God,430 you shall find4672 him, if3588 you seek1875 him with all3605 your heart3824 and with all3605 your soul.5315

30 Як будеш у біді своїй, і коли спіткають тебе в кінці днів усі оці речі, то ве́рнешся ти до Господа, Бога свого, і послухаєш Його голосу.

30 When you are in tribulation,6862 and all3605 these428 things1697 are come4672 on you, even in the latter319 days,3117 if you turn7725 to the LORD3068 your God,430 and shall be obedient8085 to his voice;6963

31 Бо Господь, Бог твій — Бог милости́вий: Він не залишить тебе й не знищить тебе, і не забуде заповіту батьків твоїх, яким їм присягнув був.

31 (For the LORD3068 your God430 is a merciful7349 God;410) he will not forsake7503 you, neither3808 destroy7843 you, nor3808 forget7911 the covenant1285 of your fathers1 which834 he swore7650 to them.

32 Бо питай но про перші дні, що були перше тебе, від того дня, коли Бог створив люди́ну на землі, і від кінця неба й аж до кінця неба, — чи бувало щось таке, як ця велика річ, або чи чуте було щось таке, як вона:

32 For ask7592 now4994 of the days3117 that are past,7223 which834 were before6440 you, since4480 the day3117 that God430 created1254 man120 on the earth,776 and ask from the one side7097 of heaven8064 to the other, whether there has been1961 any such thing as this2088 great1419 thing1697 is, or176 has been heard8085 like3644 it?

33 чи чув народ голос Бога, що говорив із сере́дини огню, як чув ти і жив?

33 Did ever people5971 hear8085 the voice6963 of God430 speaking1696 out of the middle8432 of the fire,784 as you have heard,8085 and live?2421

34 Або чи намагався який бог піти взяти собі народ з-посеред іншого народу пробами, ознаками, і чудами, і війною, і сильною рукою, і раме́ном ви́тягненим, і стра́хами великими, як усе те, що зробив був вам Господь, Бог ваш, в Єгипті на оча́х твоїх?

34 Or176 has God430 assayed5254 to go935 and take3947 him a nation1471 from the middle7130 of another nation,1471 by temptations,4531 by signs,226 and by wonders,4159 and by war,4421 and by a mighty2389 hand,3027 and by a stretched5186 out arm,2220 and by great1419 terrors,4172 according to all3605 that the LORD3068 your God430 did6213 for you in Egypt4714 before your eyes?5869

35 Тобі було показане це, щоб ти пізнав, що Господь — Він Бог, і нема іншого, окрім Нього.

35 To you it was showed,7200 that you might know3045 that the LORD3068 he is God;430 there is none369 else5750 beside905 him.

36 Він дав тобі з неба почути Його голос, щоб навчити тебе, а на землі показав тобі Свій великий огонь, і слова́ Його чув ти з сере́дини огню.

36 Out of heaven8064 he made you to hear8085 his voice,6963 that he might instruct3256 you: and on earth776 he showed7200 you his great1419 fire;784 and you heard8085 his words1697 out of the middle8432 of the fire.784

37 І тому, що кохав Він батьків твоїх, то вибрав їхнє насіння по них, і Сам Він вивів тебе Своєю великою силою з Єгипту,

37 And because8478 3588 he loved157 your fathers,1 therefore he chose977 their seed2233 after310 them, and brought3318 you out in his sight6440 with his mighty1419 power3581 out of Egypt;4714

38 щоб прогнати перед тобою народи, більші й сильніші за тебе, щоб ввести тебе, та дати тобі їхній край на спа́док, як сьогодні це ви́дко.

38 To drive3423 out nations1471 from before6440 you greater1419 and mightier6099 than you are, to bring935 you in, to give5414 you their land776 for an inheritance,5159 as it is this2088 day.3117

39 І пізнаєш сьогодні, і ві́зьмеш до серця свого, що Господь — Він Бог на небі вгорі й на землі долі, — іншого нема.

39 Know3045 therefore this day,3117 and consider7725 it in your heart,3824 that the LORD3068 he is God430 in heaven8064 above,4605 and on the earth776 beneath:8478 there is none369 else.5750

40 І будеш пильнувати постанов Його та заповідей Його, що я наказую тобі сьогодні, щоб було добре тобі та синам твоїм по тобі, і щоб ти продо́вжив дні на землі, що Господь, Бог твій, дає тобі на всі дні".

40 You shall keep8104 therefore his statutes,2706 and his commandments,4687 which834 I command6680 you this day,3117 that it may go well3190 with you, and with your children1121 after310 you, and that you may prolong748 your days3117 on the earth,127 which834 the LORD3068 your God430 gives5414 you, for ever.3605 3117

41 Тоді виділив Мойсей три місті по той бік Йорда́ну на схід сонця,

41 Then227 Moses4872 severed914 three7969 cities5892 on5921 this side5676 Jordan3383 toward the sun8121 rise;4217

42 щоб утікав туди убійник, що замордує свого ближнього ненароком, а він не був йому ворогом ні вчора, ані позавчора. І втече він до одно́го з цих міст, і буде жити:

42 That the slayer7523 might flee5127 thither,8033 which834 should kill7523 his neighbor7453 unawares,1097 1847 and hated8130 him not in times8543 past;8032 and that fleeing5127 to one259 of these411 cities5892 he might live:2425

43 Бецер у пустині, у кра́ї рівниннім, Рувимовому, і Рамот у Ґілеаді Ґадовому, і Ґолан у Башані Манасіїному.

43 Namely, Bezer1221 in the wilderness,4057 in the plain4334 country,776 of the Reubenites;7206 and Ramoth7216 in Gilead,1568 of the Gadites;1425 and Golan1474 in Bashan,1316 of the Manassites.4520

44 І оце Зако́н, що Мойсей поклав перед Ізраїлевими синами,

44 And this2063 is the law8451 which834 Moses4872 set7760 before6440 the children1121 of Israel:3478

45 оце свідо́цтва, і постанови, і зако́ни, що Мойсей говорив їх до Ізраїлевих синів при виході їх із Єгипту,

45 These428 are the testimonies,5713 and the statutes,2706 and the judgments,4941 which834 Moses4872 spoke1696 to the children1121 of Israel,3478 after they came3318 forth3318 out of Egypt.4714

46 по той бік Йорда́ну в долині навпроти Бет-Пеору в краю́ Сигона, царя аморейського, що сидів у Хешбоні, якого побив Мойсей та Ізраїлеві сини при виході їх із Єгипту.

46 On5921 this side5676 Jordan,3383 in the valley1516 over4136 against4136 Bethpeor,1047 in the land776 of Sihon5511 king4428 of the Amorites,567 who834 dwelled3427 at Heshbon,2809 whom834 Moses4872 and the children1121 of Israel3478 smote,5221 after they were come3318 forth3318 out of Egypt:4714

47 І вони оволоділи краєм його та краєм Оґа, башанського царя, обох аморейських царів, що по той бік Йорда́ну на схід сонця,

47 And they possessed3423 his land,776 and the land776 of Og5747 king4428 of Bashan,1316 two8147 kings4428 of the Amorites,567 which834 were on5921 this side5676 Jordan3383 toward the sun8121 rise;4217

48 від Ароеру, що над берегом арнонського потоку, і аж до гори Сіон, цебто Гермон,

48 From Aroer,6177 which834 is by the bank8193 of the river5158 Arnon,769 even to mount2022 Sion,7865 which1931 is Hermon,2768

49 і ввесь степ по тім боці Йорда́ну на схід і аж до моря сте́пу під узбі́ччям Пісґі.

49 And all3605 the plain6160 on5921 this side5676 Jordan3383 eastward,4217 even to the sea3220 of the plain,6160 under8478 the springs794 of Pisgah.6449
