1 Отож, благаю вас я, в'я́зень у Господі, щоб ви пово́дилися гі́дно покли́кання, що до нього покликано вас,

2 зо всякою покорою та ла́гідністю, з довготерпінням, у любові те́рплячи один о́дного,

3 пильнуючи зберігати єдність Духа в союзі спокою.

4 Одне тіло, один Дух, як і були ви покликані в одній надії вашого покли́кання.

5 Один Госпо́дь, одна віра, одне хрищення,

6 один Бог і Отець усіх, що Він над усіма́, і через усіх, і в усіх.

7 А кожному з нас да́на благода́ть у міру дару Христового.

8 Тому́ й сказано: „Піднявшися на висоту́, Ти полоне́них набрав і лю́дям дав да́ри!“

9 А те, що „піднявся був“, що́ то, як не те, що перше й зійшов був до найнижчих місць землі?

10 Хто зійшов був, Той саме й піднявся ви́соко над усі небеса́, щоб напо́внити все.

11 І Він, отож, настанови́в одних за апо́столів, одних за пророків, а тих за благові́сників, а тих за па́стирів та вчителі́в,

12 щоб приготува́ти святих на ді́ло служби для збудува́ння тіла Христового,

13 аж поки ми всі не дося́гнемо з'єднання віри й пізна́ння Сина Божого, Мужа досконалого, у міру зросту Христової повноти́,

14 щоб більш не були́ ми малолі́тками, що хитаються й захоплюються від усякого вітру науки за лю́дською ома́ною та за лукавством до хитрого блу́ду,

15 щоб були ми правдомовні в любові, і в усьому зростали в Нього, а Він — Голова, Христос.

16 А з Нього все тіло, скла́дене й зв'язане всяким допомічни́м сугло́бом, у міру чинности кожного окремого члена, чи́нить зріст тіла на будува́ння самого себе любов'ю.

17 Отже, говорю я це й свідку́ю в Господі, щоб ви більш не пово́дилися, як пово́дяться погани в марно́ті свого розуму, —

18 вони запа́морочені розумом, відчу́жені від життя Божого за не́уцтво, що в них, за стверділість їхніх серде́ць,

19 вони отупіли й віддали́ся розпусті, щоб чинити всяку не́чисть із заже́рливістю.

20 Але ви не так пізнали Христа,

21 якщо ви чули про Нього, і навчилися в Нім, бо правда в Ісусі,

22 щоб відкинути, за першим поступо́ванням, старо́го чоловіка, який зотліває в звабли́вих пожадливостях,

23 та відновлятися духом вашого розуму,

24 і зодягнутися в ново́го чоловіка, ство́реного за Богом у праведності й святості правди.

25 Тому́ то, неправду відкинувши, говоріть кожен правду до свого ближнього, бо ми члени один для о́дного.

26 Гнівайтеся, та не грішіть, — сонце нехай не заходить у вашому гніві,

27 і місця дия́волові не давайте!

28 Хто крав, нехай більше не кра́де, а краще нехай працює та чинить руками своїми добро, щоб мати подати нужде́нному.

29 Нехай жодне слово гниле не виходить із уст ваших, але тільки таке, що добре на потрібне збудува́ння, щоб воно подало́ благода́ть тим, хто чує.

30 І не засму́чуйте Духа Святого Божого, Яким ви запечатані на день ви́купу.

31 Усяке подратува́ння, і гнів, і лютість, і крик, і лайка нехай буде взято від вас ра́зом із уся́кою злобо́ю.

32 А ви один до о́дного будьте ласка́ві, милости́ві, прощаючи один о́дному, як і Бог через Христа вам простив!

Ephesians

Chapter 4

2 With all3956 lowliness5012 and meekness,4236 with long-suffering,3115 forbearing430 one240 another240 in love;26

3 Endeavoring4704 to keep5083 the unity1775 of the Spirit4151 in the bond4886 of peace.1515

4 There is one1520 body,4983 and one1520 Spirit,4151 even2532 as you are called2564 in one3391 hope1680 of your5216 calling;2821

5 One1520 Lord,2962 one1520 faith,4102 one3391 baptism,908

6 One1520 God2316 and Father3962 of all,3956 who3588 is above1909 all,3956 and through1223 all,3956 and in you all.3956

7 But to every1538 one1520 of us is given1325 grace5485 according2596 to the measure3358 of the gift1431 of Christ.5547

8 Why1352 he said,3004 When he ascended305 up on5311 high,5311 he led162 captivity161 captive,162 and gave1325 gifts1390 to men.444

9 (Now1161 that he ascended,305 what5101 is it but that he also2532 descended2597 first4412 into1519 the lower2737 parts3313 of the earth?1093

10 He that descended2597 is the same846 also2532 that ascended305 up far5231 above5231 all3956 heavens,3772 that he might fill4137 all3956 things.)

11 And he gave1325 some,3588 apostles;652 and some,3588 prophets;4396 and some,3588 evangelists;2099 and some,3588 pastors4166 and teachers;1320

12 For the perfecting2677 of the saints,40 for the work2041 of the ministry,1248 for the edifying3619 of the body4983 of Christ:5547

13 Till3360 we all3956 come2658 in the unity1775 of the faith,4102 and of the knowledge1922 of the Son5207 of God,2316 to a perfect5046 man,435 to the measure3358 of the stature2244 of the fullness4138 of Christ:5547

14 That we from now on3063 be no3371 more2001 children,3516 tossed2831 to and fro,2831 and carried4064 about4064 with every3956 wind417 of doctrine,1319 by the sleight2940 of men,444 and cunning craftiness,3834 whereby4314 they lie3180 in wait3180 to deceive;4106

15 But speaking226 the truth226 in love,26 may grow837 up into1519 him in all3956 things, which3739 is the head,2776 even Christ:5547

16 From whom3739 the whole3956 body4983 fitly4883 joined4883 together4883 and compacted4822 by that which every3956 joint860 supplies,2024 according2596 to the effectual1753 working1753 in the measure3358 of every1520 1538 part,3313 makes4160 increase838 of the body4983 to the edifying3619 of itself1438 in love.26

18 Having the understanding1271 darkened,4654 being5607 alienated526 from the life2222 of God2316 through1223 the ignorance52 that is in them, because1223 of the blindness4457 of their heart:2588

19 Who3748 being past524 feeling524 have given3860 themselves1438 over3860 to lasciviousness,766 to work2039 all3956 uncleanness167 with greediness.4124

20 But you have not so3779 learned3129 Christ;5547

21 If1489 so3779 be that you have heard191 him, and have been taught1321 by him, as the truth225 is in Jesus:2424

22 That you put659 off659 concerning2596 the former4387 conversation391 the old3820 man,444 which3588 is corrupt5351 according2596 to the deceitful539 lusts;1939

23 And be renewed365 in the spirit4151 of your5216 mind;3563

24 And that you put1746 on1746 the new2537 man,444 which3588 after2596 God2316 is created2936 in righteousness1343 and true3588 225 holiness.3742

25 Why1352 putting659 away659 lying,5579 speak2980 every1520 1538 man truth226 with his neighbor:4139 for we are members3196 one240 of another.240

26 Be you angry,3710 and sin264 not: let not the sun2246 go1931 down1931 on your5216 wrath:3950

27 Neither3383 give1325 place5117 to the devil.1228

28 Let him that stole2813 steal2813 no3371 more:2001 but rather3123 let him labor,2872 working2038 with his hands5495 the thing which is good,18 that he may have2192 to give3330 to him that needs.5532

29 Let no3956 3361 corrupt4550 communication3056 proceed1607 out of your5216 mouth,4750 but that which1536 is good18 to the use5532 of edifying,3619 that it may minister1325 grace5485 to the hearers.191

30 And grieve3076 not the holy40 Spirit4151 of God,2316 whereby1722 3739 you are sealed4972 to the day2250 of redemption.629

31 Let all3956 bitterness,4088 and wrath,2372 and anger,3709 and clamor,2906 and evil988 speaking,988 be put142 away from you, with all3956 malice:2549

32 And be you kind5543 one240 to another,240 tenderhearted,2155 forgiving5483 one1438 another,1438 even2532 as God2316 for Christ's5547 sake1722 has forgiven5483 you.

8 Тому́ й сказано: „Піднявшися на висоту́, Ти полоне́них набрав і лю́дям дав да́ри!“

15 щоб були ми правдомовні в любові, і в усьому зростали в Нього, а Він — Голова, Христос.

15 But speaking226 the truth226 in love,26 may grow837 up into1519 him in all3956 things, which3739 is the head,2776 even Christ:5547

16 А з Нього все тіло, скла́дене й зв'язане всяким допомічни́м сугло́бом, у міру чинности кожного окремого члена, чи́нить зріст тіла на будува́ння самого себе любов'ю.

16 From whom3739 the whole3956 body4983 fitly4883 joined4883 together4883 and compacted4822 by that which every3956 joint860 supplies,2024 according2596 to the effectual1753 working1753 in the measure3358 of every1520 1538 part,3313 makes4160 increase838 of the body4983 to the edifying3619 of itself1438 in love.26

17 Отже, говорю я це й свідку́ю в Господі, щоб ви більш не пово́дилися, як пово́дяться погани в марно́ті свого розуму, —

29 Нехай жодне слово гниле не виходить із уст ваших, але тільки таке, що добре на потрібне збудува́ння, щоб воно подало́ благода́ть тим, хто чує.

29 Let no3956 3361 corrupt4550 communication3056 proceed1607 out of your5216 mouth,4750 but that which1536 is good18 to the use5532 of edifying,3619 that it may minister1325 grace5485 to the hearers.191

30 І не засму́чуйте Духа Святого Божого, Яким ви запечатані на день ви́купу.

31 Усяке подратува́ння, і гнів, і лютість, і крик, і лайка нехай буде взято від вас ра́зом із уся́кою злобо́ю.
