2 And though518 they say,559 The LORD3068 lives;2416 surely403 they swear7650 falsely.8267

3 O LORD,3068 are not your eyes5869 on the truth?530 you have stricken5221 them, but they have not grieved;2342 you have consumed3615 them, but they have refused3985 to receive3947 correction:4148 they have made their faces6440 harder2388 than a rock;5553 they have refused3985 to return.7725

4 Therefore I said,559 Surely389 these1992 are poor;1800 they are foolish:2973 for they know3045 not the way1870 of the LORD,3068 nor the judgment4941 of their God.430

5 I will get3212 me to the great1419 men, and will speak1696 to them; for they have known3045 the way1870 of the LORD,3068 and the judgment4941 of their God:430 but these1992 have altogether3162 broken7665 the yoke,5923 and burst5423 the bonds.4147

6 Why5921 3651 a lion738 out of the forest3293 shall slay5221 them, and a wolf2061 of the evenings6160 shall spoil7703 them, a leopard5246 shall watch8245 over5921 their cities:5892 every3605 one that goes3318 out there2007 shall be torn2963 in pieces: because3588 their transgressions6588 are many,7231 and their backslidings4878 are increased.6105

9 Shall I not visit6485 for these428 things? said5002 the LORD:3068 and shall not my soul5315 be avenged5358 on such834 a nation1471 as this?2088

10 Go5927 you up on her walls,8284 and destroy;7843 but make6213 not a full end:3615 take5493 away5493 her battlements;5189 for they are not the LORD's.3068

15 See,2009 I will bring935 a nation1471 on you from far,4801 O house1004 of Israel,3478 said5002 the LORD:3068 it is a mighty386 nation,1471 it is an ancient5769 nation,1471 a nation1471 whose language3956 you know3045 not, neither3808 understand8085 what4100 they say.1696

16 Their quiver827 is as an open6605 sepulcher,6913 they are all3605 mighty1368 men.

17 And they shall eat398 up your harvest,7105 and your bread,3899 which your sons1121 and your daughters1323 should eat:398 they shall eat398 up your flocks6629 and your herds:1241 they shall eat398 up your vines1612 and your fig8384 trees: they shall impoverish7567 your fenced4013 cities,5892 wherein834 2004 you trusted,982 with the sword.2719

19 And it shall come1961 to pass, when3588 you shall say,559 Why8478 4100 does6213 the LORD3068 our God430 all3605 these428 things to us? then shall you answer559 them, Like as you have forsaken5800 me, and served5647 strange5236 gods430 in your land,776 so3651 shall you serve5647 strangers2114 in a land776 that is not your's.

20 Declare5046 this2063 in the house1004 of Jacob,3290 and publish8085 it in Judah,3063 saying,559

21 Hear8085 now4994 this,2063 O foolish5530 people,5971 and without369 understanding;3820 which have eyes,5869 and see7200 not; which have ears,241 and hear8085 not:

22 Fear3372 you not me? said5002 the LORD:3068 will you not tremble2342 at my presence,6440 which834 have placed7760 the sand2344 for the bound1366 of the sea3220 by a perpetual5769 decree,2706 that it cannot3808 pass5674 it: and though the waves1530 thereof toss1607 themselves, yet can they not prevail;3201 though they roar,1993 yet can3201 they not pass5674 over5674 it?

23 But this2088 people5971 has a revolting5637 and a rebellious4784 heart;3820 they are revolted5493 and gone.3212

26 For among my people5971 are found4672 wicked7563 men: they lay wait,7789 as he that sets7918 snares;3353 they set5324 a trap,4889 they catch3920 men.582

27 As a cage3619 is full4392 of birds,5775 so3651 are their houses1004 full4392 of deceit:4820 therefore5921 3651 they are become6238 great,1431 and waxen rich.6238

28 They are waxen fat,8080 they shine:6245 yes,1571 they overpass5674 the deeds1697 of the wicked:7451 they judge1777 not the cause,1779 the cause1779 of the fatherless,3490 yet they prosper;6743 and the right4941 of the needy34 do they not judge.8199

29 Shall I not visit6485 for these428 things? said5002 the LORD:3068 shall not my soul5315 be avenged5358 on such834 a nation1471 as this?2088

30 A wonderful8047 and horrible8186 thing is committed1961 in the land;776
