2 Но и с Иудою3063 у Господа3068 суд7379 и Он посетит6485 Иакова3290 по путям1870 его, воздаст7725 ему по делам4611 его.

3 Еще во чреве990 матери запинал6117 он брата251 своего, а возмужав202 боролся8280 с Богом.430

4 Он боролся7786 с Ангелом4397 — и превозмог;3201 плакал1058 и умолял2603 Его; в Вефиле1008 Он нашел4672 нас и там говорил1696 с нами.

5 А Господь3068 есть Бог430 Саваоф;6635 Сущий (Иегова)3068 — имя2143 Его.

6 Обратись7725 и ты к Богу430 твоему; наблюдай8104 милость2617 и суд4941 и уповай6960 на Бога430 твоего всегда.8548

7 Хананеянин3667 с неверными4820 весами3976 в руке3027 любит157 обижать;6231

8 и Ефрем669 говорит:559 «однако я разбогател;6238 накопил4672 себе имущества,202 хотя во всех моих трудах3018 не найдут4672 ничего незаконного,5771 что было бы грехом».2399

9 А Я, Господь3068 Бог430 твой от самой земли776 Египетской,4714 опять поселю3427 тебя в кущах,168 как во дни3117 праздника.4150

11 Если Галаад1568 сделался Авеном,205 то они стали суетны,7723 в Галгалах1537 заколали2076 в2076 жертву2076 тельцов,7794 и жертвенники4196 их стояли как груды1530 камней1530 на межах8525 поля.7704

12 Убежал1272 Иаков3290 на поля7704 Сирийские,758 и служил5647 Израиль3478 за жену,802 и за жену802 стерег8104 овец.

13 Чрез пророка5030 вывел5927 Господь3068 Израиля3478 из Египта,4714 и чрез пророка5030 Он охранял8104 его.

Chapter 12

1 EPHRAIM feeds on wind and follows after the tempest all the day long; they have multiplied lies and prey; they have made a covenant with the Assyrians, and oil is carried into Egypt.

2 The LORD has a controversy with Judah, and will punish Jacob according to his ways; and according to his devices will he recompense him.

3 In the womb he deceived his brother, and by his might he became great in the presence of God;

4 Yea, he prevailed over the angel, he made supplication to him; he found him in Beth-el, and there he spoke with him.

5 Even the LORD the God of hosts has remembered him.

6 Therefore return to your God; keep mercy and justice, and wait for your God continually.

7 The balances of deceit are in the hand of Canaan, he loves to oppress.

8 And Ephraim said, Yet I am become rich, I have found grief; but all my labors will not be enough to rid me of the sin which I have sinned.

9 I am the LORD your God who brought you up out of the land of Egypt. I will again make you to dwell in tents, as in the days of the solemn feasts.

10 I have spoken by the prophets, and I have multiplied visions and used similitudes by the ministry of the prophets.

11 In Gilead you suffered pain, and in Gilgal you sacrificed bullocks to falsehood; your altars are like dry stalks in a barren field.

12 Jacob fled to the land of Aram, and Israel served for a wife, and for a wife he kept sheep.

13 And by the prophets the LORD brought Israel out of Egypt, and by the prophets was he preserved.

14 Ephraim provoked him to anger most bitterly; therefore his blood shall come upon him, and his reproach shall his LORD return to him.
