1 Вот печальная весть о Дамаске. Господь говорит, что так случится. «Не быть Дамаску городом, но он превратится в груду развалин.
2 Жители покинут города Ароера, и стада будут бродить без присмотра в этих пустых городах, никто их не будет беспокоить.
3 Укреплённые города Ефрема будут уничтожены, а правители Дамаска падут. Так же как и жители Израиля, народ Арама утратит все свои владения, — сказал Господь Всемогущий. —
4 В те дни богатства Иакова исчезнут, он будет подобен человеку, обессилевшему от тяжёлой болезни».
5 То время будет похоже на уборку зерна в долине Рефаимов, когда жнецы сначала всё срезают серпом, а потом отделяют от соломы колосья и молотят зерно.
6 И ещё это время будет как время сбора олив, когда с деревьев сбивают маслины, но несколько маслин остаётся на самой вершине или четыре-пять остаётся на самых высоких ветках. Так будет и с этими городами, говорит Господь Всемогущий.
7 И тогда люди поднимут глаза к Богу, к своему Творцу, и увидят Святого Израиля.
8 Они не будут полагаться на то, что сделали своими руками, не пойдут в сады и к алтарям, которые сделали сами для идолов.
9 Все укреплённые города опустеют, они будут словно горы и леса на земле до прихода народа Израиля, которые покинули люди, напуганные приходом израильтян. В будущем всё опять опустеет.
10 Так случится потому, что вы забыли Бога, своего Спасителя, вы забыли, что Бог — место спасения вашего. Вы принесли хорошие лозы издалека, но даже если вы их посадите, они не будут расти.
11 Вы посадите их и будете заботиться, чтобы они росли, но во время сбора винограда вы увидите, что всё мертво, — болезнь погубила все лозы.
12 Послушай, многие плачут, и плач их как шум моря, услышь их рёв, похожий на рёв бури.
13 Люди подобны этим волнам, но Бог укорит их, и они побегут прочь. Люди будут подобны мякине, несомой ветрами, подобны гонимому грозою перекати-полю.
14 Всю ночь люди будут в страхе, но к утру ничего не останется, наши враги ничего не добудут, они придут на нашу землю, но ничего на ней не найдут.

3 The fortress4013 also shall cease7673 from Ephraim,669 and the kingdom4467 from Damascus,1834 and the remnant7605 of Syria:758 they shall be as the glory3519 of the children1121 of Israel,3478 said5002 the LORD3068 of hosts.6635
4 And in that day3117 it shall come1961 to pass, that the glory3519 of Jacob3290 shall be made thin,1809 and the fatness4924 of his flesh1320 shall wax lean.7329
5 And it shall be as when the harvestman7105 gathers622 the corn,7054 and reaps7114 the ears7641 with his arm;2220 and it shall be as he that gathers3950 ears7641 in the valley6010 of Rephaim.7497
6 Yet gleaning5955 grapes shall be left7604 in it, as the shaking5363 of an olive2132 tree, two8147 or three7969 berries1620 in the top7218 of the uppermost bough,534 four702 or five2568 in the outmost fruitful6509 branches5585 thereof, said5002 the LORD3068 God430 of Israel.3478
7 At that day3117 shall a man120 look8159 to his Maker,6213 and his eyes5869 shall have respect7200 to the Holy6918 One of Israel.3478
8 And he shall not look8159 to the altars,4196 the work4639 of his hands,3027 neither3808 shall respect7200 that which834 his fingers676 have made,6213 either the groves,842 or the images.2553

7 И тогда люди поднимут глаза к Богу, к своему Творцу, и увидят Святого Израиля.

8 Они не будут полагаться на то, что сделали своими руками, не пойдут в сады и к алтарям, которые сделали сами для идолов.

9 Все укреплённые города опустеют, они будут словно горы и леса на земле до прихода народа Израиля, которые покинули люди, напуганные приходом израильтян. В будущем всё опять опустеет.

10 Так случится потому, что вы забыли Бога, своего Спасителя, вы забыли, что Бог — место спасения вашего. Вы принесли хорошие лозы издалека, но даже если вы их посадите, они не будут расти.

14 Всю ночь люди будут в страхе, но к утру ничего не останется, наши враги ничего не добудут, они придут на нашу землю, но ничего на ней не найдут.
