Глава 42

1 Находясь в Химаме, Иоханан и Иезания, сын Гошаии, отправились к пророку Иеремии, а с ними пошли все военачальники: от самого незначительного, до самого знатного.

2 Они обратились к нему с такими словами: «Выслушай наши просьбы, Иеремия. Молись Господу, Богу твоему, за всех, кто выжил в Иудее. Ты видишь, Иеремия, что нас осталось мало, хотя когда-то наш народ был многочисленным.

3 Молись, Иеремия, чтобы Господь, Бог наш, указал, куда нам идти и что делать».

4 Тогда пророк Иеремия им ответил: «Я всё понимаю, я буду молиться Господу, Богу вашему, как вы просили меня. Я скажу вам всё, что услышу от Господа, и ничего не скрою от вас».

5 Они сказали Иеремии: «Если мы не сделаем всё то, что нам скажет Господь, Бог твой, то пусть будет Господь правдивым и верным свидетелем против нас. Мы знаем, что Господь, Бог твой, пошлёт тебе весть о том, что нам делать.

6 Понравится ли нам эта весть или нет, мы всё равно подчинимся Господу, Богу нашему. Дай нам знать, что сказал Господь, и мы обязательно послушаемся Его заповедей, и тогда у нас всё будет хорошо».

7 Через десять дней весть от Господа пришла к Иеремии.

8 Иеремия позвал Иоханана, сына Карея, и бывших с ним начальников, и всех людей, от самого незначительного до самого знатного.

9 И сказал им Иеремия: «Вот ответ Господа, Бога Израиля, на ваш вопрос.

10 Господь сказал: „Если вы останетесь в Иудее, Я дам вам силу и не уничтожу вас. Я укореню вас и не вырву из земли, потому что печалюсь о том, что Я сделал и что случилось с вами.

11 Сейчас вы боитесь царя Вавилона, но бояться его не стоит, потому что Я с вами. Я вас спасу и освобожу, и он пальцем вас не тронет.

12 Царь Вавилона будет к вам милосерден и приведёт вас обратно в вашу землю”. Так сказал Господь.

13 Но вы можете возразить: „Мы не останемся в Иудее”. Если скажете так, то это значит, что вы не повинуетесь Господу, Богу вашему.

14 Или можете сказать: „Нет, мы пойдём и будем жить в Египте, потому что там нас не коснётся война, мы не услышим звука военных труб, и в той земле мы не будем голодать”.

15 Если вы произнесёте эти слова, то выслушайте весть от Господа. Все выжившие в Иудее, выслушайте, что говорит Господь Всемогущий, Бог Израиля: „Если решите пойти в Египет, то вот что случится:

16 вы боитесь меча войны, но он вас и там достанет; вас страшит голод, но и в Египте умрёте от голода.

17 Каждый, кто выберет Египет, умрёт от меча, от голода или от страшных болезней. Никто из тех, кто пойдёт в Египет, не выживет. Никто не избежит несчастий, которые Я пошлю на них”.

18 Господь Всемогущий, Бог Иерусалима, говорит: „Я показал Мой гнев Иерусалиму, Я наказал тех, кто в нём жил. Точно так же Я покажу Свой гнев каждому, кто пойдёт в Египет, и вы будете примером, когда другие будут просить своим врагам несчастья. Вы станете проклятьем, и люди будут стыдиться вас и оскорблять. И вы никогда больше не увидите Иудею”.

19 Господь вам говорит: „Не идите в Египет, Я предупреждаю вас сейчас об этом.

20 Вы совершаете ошибку, которая приведёт вас к смерти”. Вы послали меня к Господу, Богу вашему, и просили, чтоб я молился Ему за вас и передал вам всё, что Господь повелит нам совершить, и обещали подчиниться Ему.

21 Я объявил вам сегодня весть от Господа, но вы не повиновались и не сделали того, что Он мне передал для вас.

22 Итак, знайте, что если вы хотите жить в Египте, то там вы умрёте от меча, голода и страшных болезней».

1 Then all3605 the captains8269 of the forces,2428 and Johanan3110 the son1121 of Kareah,7143 and Jezaniah3153 the son1121 of Hoshaiah,1955 and all3605 the people5971 from the least6996 even to the greatest,1419 came5066 near,5066

2 And said559 to Jeremiah3414 the prophet,5030 Let, we beseech4994 you, our supplication8467 be accepted5307 before6440 you, and pray6419 for us to the LORD3068 your God,430 even for all3605 this2063 remnant;7611 (for we are left7604 but a few4592 of many,7235 as your eyes5869 do behold7200 us:)

3 That the LORD3068 your God430 may show5046 us the way1870 wherein834 we may walk,1980 and the thing1697 that we may do.6213

4 Then Jeremiah3414 the prophet5030 said559 to them, I have heard8085 you; behold,2005 I will pray6419 to the LORD3068 your God430 according to your words;1697 and it shall come1961 to pass, that whatever3605 thing1697 the LORD3068 shall answer6030 you, I will declare5046 it to you; I will keep4513 nothing3808 1697 back4513 from you.

5 Then they said559 to Jeremiah,3414 The LORD3068 be a true571 and faithful539 witness5707 between996 us, if518 we do6213 not even3651 according to all3605 things1697 for the which834 the LORD3068 your God430 shall send7971 you to us.

6 Whether518 it be good,2896 or whether518 it be evil,7451 we will obey8085 the voice6963 of the LORD3068 our God,430 to whom we send7971 you; that it may be well2896 with us, when3588 we obey8085 the voice6963 of the LORD3068 our God.430

7 And it came1961 to pass after7093 ten6235 days,3117 that the word1697 of the LORD3068 came1961 to Jeremiah.3414

8 Then called7121 he Johanan3110 the son1121 of Kareah,7143 and all3605 the captains8269 of the forces2428 which834 were with him, and all3605 the people5971 from the least6996 even to the greatest,1419

9 And said559 to them, Thus3541 said559 the LORD,3068 the God430 of Israel,3478 to whom834 413 you sent7971 me to present5307 your supplication8467 before6440 him;

10 If518 you will still abide3427 in this2063 land,776 then will I build1129 you, and not pull2040 you down, and I will plant5193 you, and not pluck5428 you up: for I repent5162 me of the evil7451 that I have done6213 to you.

11 Be not afraid3372 of the king4428 of Babylon,894 of whom834 6440 you are afraid;3373 be not afraid3372 of him, said5002 the LORD:3068 for I am with you to save3467 you, and to deliver5337 you from his hand.3027

12 And I will show5414 mercies7356 to you, that he may have mercy7355 on you, and cause you to return7725 to your own land.127

13 But if518 you say,559 We will not dwell3427 in this2063 land,776 neither1115 obey8085 the voice6963 of the LORD3068 your God,430

14 Saying,559 No;3808 but we will go935 into the land776 of Egypt,4714 where834 we shall see7200 no3808 war,4421 nor3808 hear8085 the sound6963 of the trumpet,7782 nor3808 have hunger7456 of bread;3899 and there8033 will we dwell:3427

15 And now6258 therefore3651 hear8085 the word1697 of the LORD,3068 you remnant7611 of Judah;3063 Thus3541 said559 the LORD3068 of hosts,6635 the God430 of Israel;3478 If518 you wholly7760 set7760 your faces6440 to enter935 into Egypt,4714 and go935 to sojourn1481 there;8033

16 Then it shall come1961 to pass, that the sword,2719 which834 you feared,3373 shall overtake5381 you there8033 in the land776 of Egypt,4714 and the famine,7458 whereof834 you were afraid,1672 shall follow1692 close1692 after310 you there8033 in Egypt;4714 and there8033 you shall die.4191

17 So shall it be with all3605 the men582 that set7760 their faces6440 to go935 into935 Egypt4714 to sojourn1481 there;8033 they shall die4191 by the sword,2719 by the famine,7458 and by the pestilence:1698 and none3808 of them shall remain8300 or escape6412 from the evil7451 that I will bring935 on them.

18 For thus3541 said559 the LORD3068 of hosts,6635 the God430 of Israel;3478 As my anger639 and my fury2534 has been poured5413 forth on the inhabitants3427 of Jerusalem;3389 so3651 shall my fury2534 be poured5413 forth on you, when you shall enter935 into935 Egypt:4714 and you shall be an execration,423 and an astonishment,8047 and a curse,7045 and a reproach;2781 and you shall see7200 this2088 place4725 no3808 more.5750

19 The LORD3068 has said1696 concerning5921 you, O you remnant7611 of Judah;3063 Go935 you not into Egypt:4714 know3045 certainly that I have admonished5749 you this day.3117

20 For you dissembled8582 in your hearts,5315 when3588 you sent7971 me to the LORD3068 your God,430 saying,559 Pray6419 for us to the LORD3068 our God;430 and according to all3605 that the LORD3068 our God430 shall say,559 so3651 declare5046 to us, and we will do6213 it.

21 And now I have this day3117 declared5046 it to you; but you have not obeyed8085 the voice6963 of the LORD3068 your God,430 nor any3605 thing for the which834 he has sent7971 me to you.

22 Now6258 therefore know3045 certainly that you shall die4191 by the sword,2719 by the famine,7458 and by the pestilence,1698 in the place4725 where834 8033 you desire2654 to go935 and to sojourn.1481

2 And said559 to Jeremiah3414 the prophet,5030 Let, we beseech4994 you, our supplication8467 be accepted5307 before6440 you, and pray6419 for us to the LORD3068 your God,430 even for all3605 this2063 remnant;7611 (for we are left7604 but a few4592 of many,7235 as your eyes5869 do behold7200 us:)

3 Молись, Иеремия, чтобы Господь, Бог наш, указал, куда нам идти и что делать».

3 That the LORD3068 your God430 may show5046 us the way1870 wherein834 we may walk,1980 and the thing1697 that we may do.6213

4 Тогда пророк Иеремия им ответил: «Я всё понимаю, я буду молиться Господу, Богу вашему, как вы просили меня. Я скажу вам всё, что услышу от Господа, и ничего не скрою от вас».

4 Then Jeremiah3414 the prophet5030 said559 to them, I have heard8085 you; behold,2005 I will pray6419 to the LORD3068 your God430 according to your words;1697 and it shall come1961 to pass, that whatever3605 thing1697 the LORD3068 shall answer6030 you, I will declare5046 it to you; I will keep4513 nothing3808 1697 back4513 from you.

5 Они сказали Иеремии: «Если мы не сделаем всё то, что нам скажет Господь, Бог твой, то пусть будет Господь правдивым и верным свидетелем против нас. Мы знаем, что Господь, Бог твой, пошлёт тебе весть о том, что нам делать.

5 Then they said559 to Jeremiah,3414 The LORD3068 be a true571 and faithful539 witness5707 between996 us, if518 we do6213 not even3651 according to all3605 things1697 for the which834 the LORD3068 your God430 shall send7971 you to us.

6 Понравится ли нам эта весть или нет, мы всё равно подчинимся Господу, Богу нашему. Дай нам знать, что сказал Господь, и мы обязательно послушаемся Его заповедей, и тогда у нас всё будет хорошо».

6 Whether518 it be good,2896 or whether518 it be evil,7451 we will obey8085 the voice6963 of the LORD3068 our God,430 to whom we send7971 you; that it may be well2896 with us, when3588 we obey8085 the voice6963 of the LORD3068 our God.430

7 Через десять дней весть от Господа пришла к Иеремии.

7 And it came1961 to pass after7093 ten6235 days,3117 that the word1697 of the LORD3068 came1961 to Jeremiah.3414

8 Иеремия позвал Иоханана, сына Карея, и бывших с ним начальников, и всех людей, от самого незначительного до самого знатного.

8 Then called7121 he Johanan3110 the son1121 of Kareah,7143 and all3605 the captains8269 of the forces2428 which834 were with him, and all3605 the people5971 from the least6996 even to the greatest,1419

9 И сказал им Иеремия: «Вот ответ Господа, Бога Израиля, на ваш вопрос.

9 And said559 to them, Thus3541 said559 the LORD,3068 the God430 of Israel,3478 to whom834 413 you sent7971 me to present5307 your supplication8467 before6440 him;

10 Господь сказал: „Если вы останетесь в Иудее, Я дам вам силу и не уничтожу вас. Я укореню вас и не вырву из земли, потому что печалюсь о том, что Я сделал и что случилось с вами.

10 If518 you will still abide3427 in this2063 land,776 then will I build1129 you, and not pull2040 you down, and I will plant5193 you, and not pluck5428 you up: for I repent5162 me of the evil7451 that I have done6213 to you.

11 Сейчас вы боитесь царя Вавилона, но бояться его не стоит, потому что Я с вами. Я вас спасу и освобожу, и он пальцем вас не тронет.

11 Be not afraid3372 of the king4428 of Babylon,894 of whom834 6440 you are afraid;3373 be not afraid3372 of him, said5002 the LORD:3068 for I am with you to save3467 you, and to deliver5337 you from his hand.3027

12 Царь Вавилона будет к вам милосерден и приведёт вас обратно в вашу землю”. Так сказал Господь.

12 And I will show5414 mercies7356 to you, that he may have mercy7355 on you, and cause you to return7725 to your own land.127

13 Но вы можете возразить: „Мы не останемся в Иудее”. Если скажете так, то это значит, что вы не повинуетесь Господу, Богу вашему.

13 But if518 you say,559 We will not dwell3427 in this2063 land,776 neither1115 obey8085 the voice6963 of the LORD3068 your God,430

14 Или можете сказать: „Нет, мы пойдём и будем жить в Египте, потому что там нас не коснётся война, мы не услышим звука военных труб, и в той земле мы не будем голодать”.

14 Saying,559 No;3808 but we will go935 into the land776 of Egypt,4714 where834 we shall see7200 no3808 war,4421 nor3808 hear8085 the sound6963 of the trumpet,7782 nor3808 have hunger7456 of bread;3899 and there8033 will we dwell:3427

15 Если вы произнесёте эти слова, то выслушайте весть от Господа. Все выжившие в Иудее, выслушайте, что говорит Господь Всемогущий, Бог Израиля: „Если решите пойти в Египет, то вот что случится:

16 вы боитесь меча войны, но он вас и там достанет; вас страшит голод, но и в Египте умрёте от голода.

16 Then it shall come1961 to pass, that the sword,2719 which834 you feared,3373 shall overtake5381 you there8033 in the land776 of Egypt,4714 and the famine,7458 whereof834 you were afraid,1672 shall follow1692 close1692 after310 you there8033 in Egypt;4714 and there8033 you shall die.4191

17 Каждый, кто выберет Египет, умрёт от меча, от голода или от страшных болезней. Никто из тех, кто пойдёт в Египет, не выживет. Никто не избежит несчастий, которые Я пошлю на них”.

18 Господь Всемогущий, Бог Иерусалима, говорит: „Я показал Мой гнев Иерусалиму, Я наказал тех, кто в нём жил. Точно так же Я покажу Свой гнев каждому, кто пойдёт в Египет, и вы будете примером, когда другие будут просить своим врагам несчастья. Вы станете проклятьем, и люди будут стыдиться вас и оскорблять. И вы никогда больше не увидите Иудею”.

19 Господь вам говорит: „Не идите в Египет, Я предупреждаю вас сейчас об этом.

19 The LORD3068 has said1696 concerning5921 you, O you remnant7611 of Judah;3063 Go935 you not into Egypt:4714 know3045 certainly that I have admonished5749 you this day.3117

21 Я объявил вам сегодня весть от Господа, но вы не повиновались и не сделали того, что Он мне передал для вас.

21 And now I have this day3117 declared5046 it to you; but you have not obeyed8085 the voice6963 of the LORD3068 your God,430 nor any3605 thing for the which834 he has sent7971 me to you.

22 Итак, знайте, что если вы хотите жить в Египте, то там вы умрёте от меча, голода и страшных болезней».

22 Now6258 therefore know3045 certainly that you shall die4191 by the sword,2719 by the famine,7458 and by the pestilence,1698 in the place4725 where834 8033 you desire2654 to go935 and to sojourn.1481
