Глава 9

1 Созвав вместе двенадцать, Иисус дал им силу и власть одолевать всех демонов и излечивать болезни.

2 Затем Он послал их возвещать Божье Царство и исцелять больных,

3 сказав им: — Ничего не берите с собой в дорогу: ни посоха, ни сумки, ни хлеба, ни денег, ни запасной одежды.

4 В какой бы дом вы ни вошли, оставайтесь там и оттуда отправляйтесь дальше.

5 А если где-то люди вас не примут, то, уходя из того города, отряхните пыль с ваших ног, это будет свидетельством против них.

6 Ученики отправились в путь и, переходя из селения в селение, возвещали Радостную Весть и повсюду исцеляли больных.

7 Слухи обо всем этом дошли и до правителя Ирода. Он был в недоумении, потому что одни говорили, что это Иоанн воскрес из мертвых,

8 другие — что явился Илия, третьи — что ожил один из древних пророков.

9 Ирод говорил: — Иоанна я обезглавил, а кто же тогда Этот Человек, о Котором мне такое рассказывают? И он искал возможность увидеть Иисуса.

10 Апостолы, возвратившись, рассказали Иисусу обо всем, что они сделали. Потом Он взял их с Собой, и они пошли одни к городу, называемому Вифсаида.

11 Однако толпы народа, узнав об этом, пошли за Иисусом. Он радушно их принял и говорил им о Божьем Царстве, а также исцелял тех, кто в этом нуждался.

12 День уже клонился к вечеру, и двенадцать подошли к Иисусу и сказали: — Отпусти людей, чтобы они пошли в окрестные селения и деревни и нашли себе ночлег и пищу, ведь мы здесь в пустынном месте.

13 Иисус ответил: — Вы сами дайте им есть. Ученики удивились: — Да ведь у нас только пять хлебов и две рыбы. Разве что нам пойти и купить еды на всех этих людей?

14 А там одних только мужчин было около пяти тысяч. Но Иисус сказал ученикам: — Рассадите людей группами, человек по пятьдесят.

15 Ученики так и сделали. Когда все сели,

16 Иисус взял пять хлебов и две рыбы и, подняв глаза к небу, благословил пищу. Затем Он стал разламывать хлеб и рыбу и давать их Своим ученикам, чтобы те раздавали народу.

17 Все ели и насытились, и собрали еще двенадцать корзин остатков.

18 Однажды, когда Иисус молился в одиночестве и недалеко от Него были Его ученики, Он спросил их: — За кого принимает Меня народ?

19 Они ответили: — За Иоанна Крестителя; другие же — за Илию; а некоторые говорят, что один из других древних пророков ожил.

20 — А вы кем считаете Меня? — спросил их Иисус. — Божьим Христом, — ответил Петр.

21 Но Иисус строго велел им никому не говорить об этом,

22 сказав: — Сыну Человеческому должно много пострадать и быть отвергнутым старейшинами, первосвященниками и учителями Закона. Он будет убит, но на третий день воскреснет.

23 Потом Иисус сказал им: — Если кто желает быть Моим последователем, пусть отречется от самого себя и, каждый день беря свой крест, следует за Мной.

24 Потому что тот, кто хочет сберечь свою жизнь, потеряет ее, а кто потеряет свою жизнь ради Меня, тот спасет ее.

25 Ведь что пользы человеку, если он приобретет весь мир, но при этом погубит самого себя или повредит себе?

26 Кто постыдится Меня и Моих слов, того постыдится и Сын Человеческий, когда придет в Своей славе и в славе Отца и святых ангелов.

27 Говорю вам истину, некоторые из вас, стоящих здесь, не умрут, пока не увидят Божьего Царства.

28 Примерно восемь дней спустя после этих слов, Иисус, взяв с Собой Петра, Иоанна и Иакова, поднялся на гору помолиться.

29 Во время молитвы Его облик вдруг изменился, а одежда стала ослепительно белой.

30 И вот появились два человека, которые стали разговаривать с Иисусом, — это были Моисей и Илия.

31 Явившись в славе, они говорили о Его исходе, который Он должен будет совершить в Иерусалиме.

32 А Петра и тех, кто был вместе с ним, одолел сон, но когда они очнулись, то увидели славу Иисуса и двух мужчин, стоявших рядом с Ним.

33 Когда мужчины уже уходили, Петр сказал Иисусу: — Наставник, нам здесь так хорошо! Давай мы сделаем три шалаша, один Тебе, один Моисею и один Илии. Он и сам не знал, что говорит.

34 Когда он еще говорил, показалось облако и накрыло их. Оказавшись в облаке, они очень испугались.

35 А из облака прозвучал голос: — Это Мой Сын, Мой избранный. Его слушайте!

36 Когда голос умолк, они увидели Иисуса уже одного. Они молчали об этом и в то время никому не рассказывали о том, что видели.

37 На следующий день, когда они спустились с горы, Иисуса встретила большая толпа.

38 И один человек из толпы закричал: — Учитель, умоляю Тебя, посмотри моего сына! Он у меня один.

39 Иногда его схватывает дух, и тогда мальчик внезапно начинает кричать, его сводит судорогой, так что у него изо рта идет пена. Дух терзает его до полного изнеможения и лишь тогда нехотя отступает.

40 Я просил Твоих учеников изгнать его, но они не смогли.

41 — О неверующее и испорченное поколение, — сказал Иисус, — сколько Мне еще быть с вами и терпеть вас? Приведи сына сюда.

42 Когда мальчик еще шел, дух бросил его на землю в припадке. Но Иисус приказал нечистому духу выйти, исцелил мальчика, а затем отдал его отцу.

43 Все были поражены величием Бога. В то время как все удивлялись тому, что совершил Иисус, Он сказал Своим ученикам:

44 — Слушайте внимательно, что Я вам сейчас скажу: Сын Человеческий будет предан в руки людей.

45 Но они не поняли, что Он имел в виду, от них это было сокрыто, так что они не поняли смысла сказанного, а спросить, что означают Его слова, боялись.

46 Среди учеников как-то начался спор о том, кто из них важнее.

47 Иисус, зная их мысли, взял маленького ребенка и поставил его рядом с Собой.

48 — Кто ради Меня принимает такого ребенка, — сказал Иисус, — тот принимает и Меня, а кто принимает Меня, тот принимает и Пославшего Меня. Кто среди вас меньше всех, тот и велик.

49 Иоанн сказал Ему: — Наставник! Мы видели человека, который Твоим именем изгонял демонов, и мы запретили ему, потому что он не следует за Тобой вместе с нами.

50 — Не запрещайте, — сказал Иисус. — Кто не против вас, тот за вас.

51 Когда Иисусу подошло время быть взятым на небо, Он направился в Иерусалим.

52 Вперед Себя Он послал вестников, и те пошли в одно из самарянских селений, чтобы приготовить все к Его приходу.

53 Но жители селения не приняли Его, потому что Он шел в Иерусалим.

54 Увидев это, Его ученики Иаков и Иоанн сказали: — Господи, хочешь, мы прикажем огню сойти с неба и всех их истребить, как и Илия сделал?

55 Но Иисус, обернувшись, запретил им и сказал: — Вы не знаете, какого вы духа,

56 ведь Сын Человеческий пришел не губить человеческие души, а спасать. И они пошли в другое селение.

57 Когда они шли по дороге, один человек сказал Иисусу: — Я пойду за Тобой, куда бы Ты ни пошел.

58 Иисус ответил: — У лисиц есть норы, и у птиц небесных — гнезда, а Сыну Человеческому негде и голову приклонить.

59 Другому человеку Иисус сказал: — Следуй за Мной. Но тот ответил: — Господи, разреши мне прежде пойти и похоронить отца моего.

60 — Пусть мертвые сами хоронят своих мертвецов, а ты иди и провозглашай Божье Царство, — сказал ему Иисус.

61 Еще один человек сказал Ему: — Я пойду за Тобой, Господи, но позволь мне прежде пойти и попрощаться с моей семьей.

62 Иисус ответил: — Ни один человек, положивший руку на плуг и оглядывающийся назад, не пригоден для Божьего Царства.

Chapter 9

1 THEN Jesus called his twelve, and gave them power and authority over all the demons, and to cure diseases.

2 And he sent them out to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.

3 And he said to them, Do not take anything for the journey, neither a staff, nor a bag, nor bread, nor money; nor have two shirts.

4 And into whatever house you enter, remain there, and depart from thence.

5 And whoever will not welcome you, when you leave that city, shake off even the sand from your feet for a testimony to them.

6 And the apostles went out, and travelled in villages and cities, preaching the gospel, and healing everywhere.

7 Now Herod the tetrarch heard of all that was done by his hand; and he was amazed, because some men said that John has risen from the dead.

8 But others, that Elijah has appeared; and others, that one of the old prophets has risen.

9 So Herod said, I have beheaded John; but who is this one concerning whom I hear these things? And he wanted to see him.

10 When the apostles returned, they told Jesus everything which they had done. And he took them all alone to a lonely place in Bethsaida.

11 When the people found it out, they went after him; and he received them, and spoke to them concerning the kingdom of God, and he healed those who were in need of healing.

12 And when the day began to wane, his disciples came up and said to him, Dismiss the people, that they may go to the villages around us and to the farms, to lodge there, and find food for themselves; because we are in a lonely place.

13 Jesus said to them, You give them to eat. But they said, We do not have more than five loaves of bread and two fish; unless we go and buy food for all this people;

14 For there were about five thousand men. Jesus said to them, Make them sit down in groups, fifty men in each group.

15 The disciples did so, and made them all sit down.

16 And Jesus took the five loaves of bread and the two fish, and looked up to heaven, and he blessed them, and broke and gave them to his disciples, to set before the people.

17 And they all ate and were filled; and they took up fragments of what was left over, twelve baskets.

18 While he prayed by himself, and his disciples were with him, he asked them and said, What do the people say concerning me that I am?

19 They answered and said to him, John the Baptist; and others, Elijah; and others that one of the old prophets has risen.

20 He said to them, But you, what do you say that I am? Simon answered and said, The Messiah (the anointed one of God).

21 But he cautioned them, and warned them not to say this to anyone.

22 And he said to them, The Son of man must suffer a great many things, and he will be rejected by the elders and the high priests and the scribes, and they will kill him, and on the third day he will rise.

23 Then he said in the presence of everyone, He who wishes to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross every day and follow me.

24 For he who wishes to save his life, shall lose it; but he who loses his life for my sake, he shall save it.

25 For how can a man be benefited, if he gain the whole world, but lose his own soul, or even weakens it?

26 For whoever is ashamed of me and of my words, the Son of man will be ashamed of him, when he comes with the glory of his Father, accompanied by his holy angels.

27 I tell you the truth, that there are men who stand here, who will not taste death, until they see the kingdom of God.

28 And it came to pass about eight days after these words, Jesus took Simon, and James and John, and went up into a mountain to pray.

29 And while he prayed, the appearance of his face was changed, and his clothes became white and dazzling.

30 And behold, two men were speaking with him, who were Moses and Elijah;

31 Who appeared in glory, and spoke concerning his departure which was to end at Jerusalem.

32 And Simon and those who were with him were heavy with sleep; and when they awoke they saw his glory, and the two men who stood with him.

33 And when they began to leave him, Simon said to Jesus, Teacher, it is better for us to remain here; and let us make three shelters, one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah; but he did not know what he was saying.

34 And when he had said these things, there came a cloud and overshadowed them; and they were frightened when they saw Moses and Elijah enter into the cloud.

35 And there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son; hear him.

36 And when the voice was heard, they found Jesus alone. And they kept silent, and in those days they did not tell any man what they saw.

37 And it came to pass the next day, as they came down from the mountain, they were met by many people.

38 And one of the men of that crowd cried out and said, O teacher, I beg you to have mercy on me. I have an only son,

39 And a spirit seizes him, and he suddenly cries out, and gnashes his teeth and foams; and it hardly leaves him when it has tormented him.

40 And I besought your disciples to cast it out; and they could not.

41 Jesus answered and said, O crooked and faithless generation, how long will I be with you, and preach to you? Bring your son here.

42 And as he brought him, the demon attacked him and convulsed him. And Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, and healed the boy, and gave him to his father.

43 And they were all amazed at the greatness of God. And while every man wondered at everything which Jesus did, he said to his disciples,

44 Treasure these words in your ears; for the Son of man will be delivered into the hands of men.

45 But they did not understand this word, because it was hidden from them so that they might not know it; and they were afraid to ask him concerning this word.

46 Then a reasoning entered into their minds, as to who was the greatest among them.

47 But Jesus knew the reasoning of their heart, and he took a boy and made him stand by him.

48 And he said to them, Everyone who receives a little boy like this one in my name, receives me; and he who receives me receives him who sent me; for whoever is least among you, let him be great.

49 And John answered and said, Teacher, we saw a man casting out demons in your name; and we forbad him, because he did not come with us, as your follower.

50 Jesus said to them, Do not forbid; for he who is not against you is for you.

51 And it happened, when the days to go up on his journey were fulfilled, he set his face to go to Jerusalem.

52 So he sent messengers ahead of him; and they went away and entered into a Samaritan village, to prepare for him.

53 But they did not receive him, because his face was set to go straight to Jerusalem.

54 When his disciples James and John saw it, they said to him, Our Lord, would you be willing that we command fire to come down from heaven and consume them, just as Elijah did?

55 He turned and rebuked them and said, You do not know of what spirit you are.

56 For the Son of man did not come to destroy lives, but to save. And they went to another village.

57 And while they were on the journey, a man said to him, My Lord, I will follow you wherever you go.

58 Jesus said to him, The foxes have holes, and the fowl of the sky a shelter; but the Son of man has no place even to lay his head.

59 He said to another, Follow me; but he said to him, My Lord, permit me first to go and bury my father.

60 Jesus said to him, Let the dead bury their own dead; but you go and preach the kingdom of God.

61 Another one said to him, I will follow you, my Lord; but permit me first to entrust my household to some one, and then come.

62 Jesus said to him, No man who puts his hand on the plough handle, and looks back, is fit for the kingdom of God.

21 Но Иисус строго велел им никому не говорить об этом,	21 But he cautioned them, and warned them not to say this to anyone.

24 Потому что тот, кто хочет сберечь свою жизнь, потеряет ее, а кто потеряет свою жизнь ради Меня, тот спасет ее.	24 For he who wishes to save his life, shall lose it; but he who loses his life for my sake, he shall save it.
25 Ведь что пользы человеку, если он приобретет весь мир, но при этом погубит самого себя или повредит себе?	25 For how can a man be benefited, if he gain the whole world, but lose his own soul, or even weakens it?
26 Кто постыдится Меня и Моих слов, того постыдится и Сын Человеческий, когда придет в Своей славе и в славе Отца и святых ангелов.	26 For whoever is ashamed of me and of my words, the Son of man will be ashamed of him, when he comes with the glory of his Father, accompanied by his holy angels.

47 Иисус, зная их мысли, взял маленького ребенка и поставил его рядом с Собой.	47 But Jesus knew the reasoning of their heart, and he took a boy and made him stand by him.
48 — Кто ради Меня принимает такого ребенка, — сказал Иисус, — тот принимает и Меня, а кто принимает Меня, тот принимает и Пославшего Меня. Кто среди вас меньше всех, тот и велик.	48 And he said to them, Everyone who receives a little boy like this one in my name, receives me; and he who receives me receives him who sent me; for whoever is least among you, let him be great.
49 Иоанн сказал Ему: — Наставник! Мы видели человека, который Твоим именем изгонял демонов, и мы запретили ему, потому что он не следует за Тобой вместе с нами.	49 And John answered and said, Teacher, we saw a man casting out demons in your name; and we forbad him, because he did not come with us, as your follower.
50 — Не запрещайте, — сказал Иисус. — Кто не против вас, тот за вас.	50 Jesus said to them, Do not forbid; for he who is not against you is for you.
51 Когда Иисусу подошло время быть взятым на небо, Он направился в Иерусалим.	51 And it happened, when the days to go up on his journey were fulfilled, he set his face to go to Jerusalem.
52 Вперед Себя Он послал вестников, и те пошли в одно из самарянских селений, чтобы приготовить все к Его приходу.	52 So he sent messengers ahead of him; and they went away and entered into a Samaritan village, to prepare for him.
53 Но жители селения не приняли Его, потому что Он шел в Иерусалим.	53 But they did not receive him, because his face was set to go straight to Jerusalem.
54 Увидев это, Его ученики Иаков и Иоанн сказали: — Господи, хочешь, мы прикажем огню сойти с неба и всех их истребить, как и Илия сделал?	54 When his disciples James and John saw it, they said to him, Our Lord, would you be willing that we command fire to come down from heaven and consume them, just as Elijah did?
55 Но Иисус, обернувшись, запретил им и сказал: — Вы не знаете, какого вы духа,	55 He turned and rebuked them and said, You do not know of what spirit you are.
56 ведь Сын Человеческий пришел не губить человеческие души, а спасать. И они пошли в другое селение.	56 For the Son of man did not come to destroy lives, but to save. And they went to another village.
57 Когда они шли по дороге, один человек сказал Иисусу: — Я пойду за Тобой, куда бы Ты ни пошел.	57 And while they were on the journey, a man said to him, My Lord, I will follow you wherever you go.
58 Иисус ответил: — У лисиц есть норы, и у птиц небесных — гнезда, а Сыну Человеческому негде и голову приклонить.	58 Jesus said to him, The foxes have holes, and the fowl of the sky a shelter; but the Son of man has no place even to lay his head.
59 Другому человеку Иисус сказал: — Следуй за Мной. Но тот ответил: — Господи, разреши мне прежде пойти и похоронить отца моего.	59 He said to another, Follow me; but he said to him, My Lord, permit me first to go and bury my father.
60 — Пусть мертвые сами хоронят своих мертвецов, а ты иди и провозглашай Божье Царство, — сказал ему Иисус.	60 Jesus said to him, Let the dead bury their own dead; but you go and preach the kingdom of God.
61 Еще один человек сказал Ему: — Я пойду за Тобой, Господи, но позволь мне прежде пойти и попрощаться с моей семьей.	61 Another one said to him, I will follow you, my Lord; but permit me first to entrust my household to some one, and then come.
62 Иисус ответил: — Ни один человек, положивший руку на плуг и оглядывающийся назад, не пригоден для Божьего Царства.	62 Jesus said to him, No man who puts his hand on the plough handle, and looks back, is fit for the kingdom of God.
