Глава 3

1 Иисус встал рано поутру, и двинулись они от Ситтима, и пришли к Иордану, он и все сыны Израилевы, и ночевали там, еще не переходя его .

2 Спустя три дня, пошли надзиратели по стану,

3 И дали народу повеление, говоря: когда увидите ковчег завета Иеговы, Бога вашего, и священников [наших и] Левитов, несущих его: то и вы двиньтесь с места своего и идите за ним.

4 Впрочем расстояние между вами и им должно быть дальнее, до двух тысяч локтей мерою; не подходите к нему близко, чтобы знать вам путь, по которому идти; ибо вы не хаживали сим путем ни вчера, ни третьего дня.

5 И сказал Иисус народу: освятитесь [к утру], ибо завтра сотворит Господь среди вас чудеса.

6 Священникам же сказал Иисус: возьмите ковчег завета [Господня] и идите пред народом. [Священники] взяли ковчег завета [Господня] и пошли пред народом.

7 Тогда Господь сказал Иисусу: в сей день Я начну прославлять тебя пред очами всех [сынов] Израиля, дабы они узнали, что как Я был с Моисеем, так буду [и] с тобою.

8 А ты дай повеление священникам, несущим ковчег завета, и скажи: как только дойдете до воды Иордана, остановитесь в Иордане.

9 Иисус сказал сынам Израилевым: подойдите сюда и выслушайте слова Иеговы, Бога вашего.

10 И сказал Иисус: из сего узнаете, что среди вас есть Бог живый, Который прогонит от вас Хананеев и Хеттеев и Евеев и Ферезеев и Гергесеев и Аморреев и Иевусеев:

11 Вот, ковчег завета Господа всей земли пойдет пред вами чрез Иордан.

12 И так возьмите себе двенадцать человек из колен Израилевых, по одному человеку из колена.

13 И как только стопы ног священников, несущих ковчег Иеговы, Господа всей земли, ступят в воду Иордана, вода Иорданская иссякнет, текущая же сверху вода остановится стеною.

14 И в самом деле, когда народ двинулся из своих шатров, чтобы переходить Иордан, и священники понесли ковчег завета [Господня] пред народом:

15 То, лишь только несущие ковчег [завета Господня] вошли в Иордан, и ноги священников, несших ковчег [завета Господня], омочились в воду [Иордана], (Иордан же выступает из всех берегов своих во все дни жатвы [пшеницы])

16 Вода, текущая сверху, остановилась и стала стеною, в весьма большом расстоянии от города Адама, который подле Цартана, а текущая в море равнины, в море соленое, ушла и иссякла.

17 И народ переходил против Иерихона; священники же, несшие ковчег завета Господня, стояли на суше среди Иордана, твердою ногою. Все [сыны] Израилевы переходили по суше, доколе весь народ не перешел чрез Иордан.

Chapter 3

1 And Joshua3091 rose7925 early7925 in the morning;1242 and they removed5265 from Shittim,7851 and came935 to Jordan,3383 he and all3605 the children1121 of Israel,3478 and lodged3885 there8033 before2962 they passed5674 over.5674

2 And it came1961 to pass after7097 three7969 days,3117 that the officers7860 went5674 through7130 the host;4264

3 And they commanded6680 the people,5971 saying,559 When you see7200 the ark727 of the covenant1285 of the LORD3068 your God,430 and the priests3548 the Levites3881 bearing5375 it, then you shall remove5265 from your place,4725 and go1980 after310 it.

4 Yet389 there shall be a space7350 between996 you and it, about two thousand505 cubits520 by measure:4060 come7126 not near7126 to it, that you may know3045 the way1870 by which834 you must go:3212 for you have not passed5674 this way1870 heretofore.8543

5 And Joshua3091 said559 to the people,5971 Sanctify6942 yourselves: for tomorrow4279 the LORD3068 will do6213 wonders6381 among7130 you.

6 And Joshua3091 spoke559 to the priests,3548 saying,559 Take5375 up the ark727 of the covenant,1285 and pass5674 over5674 before6440 the people.5971 And they took5375 up the ark727 of the covenant,1285 and went3212 before6440 the people.5971

7 And the LORD3068 said559 to Joshua,3091 This2088 day3117 will I begin2490 to magnify1431 you in the sight5869 of all3605 Israel,3478 that they may know3045 that, as I was with Moses,4872 so I will be with you.

8 And you shall command6680 the priests3548 that bear5375 the ark727 of the covenant,1285 saying,559 When you are come935 to the brink7097 of the water4325 of Jordan,3383 you shall stand5975 still in Jordan.3383

9 And Joshua3091 said559 to the children1121 of Israel,3478 Come5066 here,5066 and hear8085 the words1697 of the LORD3068 your God.430

10 And Joshua3091 said,559 Hereby2063 you shall know3045 that the living2416 God410 is among7130 you, and that he will without fail drive3423 out from before6440 you the Canaanites,3669 and the Hittites,2850 and the Hivites,2340 and the Perizzites,6522 and the Girgashites,1622 and the Amorites,567 and the Jebusites.2983

11 Behold,2009 the ark727 of the covenant1285 of the LORD113 of all3605 the earth776 passes5674 over5674 before6440 you into Jordan.3383

12 Now6258 therefore take3947 you twelve8147 6240 men376 out of the tribes7626 of Israel,3478 out of every tribe7626 a man.376

13 And it shall come1961 to pass, as soon as the soles3709 of the feet7272 of the priests3548 that bear5375 the ark727 of the LORD,3068 the LORD113 of all3605 the earth,776 shall rest5117 in the waters4325 of Jordan,3383 that the waters4325 of Jordan3383 shall be cut3772 off from the waters4325 that come3381 down3381 from above;4605 and they shall stand5975 on an heap.5067

14 And it came1961 to pass,5674 when the people5971 removed5265 from their tents,168 to pass5674 over5674 Jordan,3383 and the priests3548 bearing5375 the ark727 of the covenant1285 before6440 the people;5971

15 And as they that bore5375 the ark727 were come935 to Jordan,3383 and the feet7272 of the priests3548 that bore5375 the ark727 were dipped2881 in the brim7097 of the water,4325 (for Jordan3383 overflows4390 all3605 his banks1415 all3605 the time3117 of harvest,7105)

16 That the waters4325 which came3381 down3381 from above4605 stood5975 and rose6965 up on an heap5067 very3966 far7368 from the city5892 Adam,121 that is beside6654 Zaretan:6891 and those that came3381 down3381 toward5921 the sea3220 of the plain,6160 even the salt4417 sea,3220 failed,8552 and were cut3772 off: and the people5971 passed5674 over5674 right against5048 Jericho.3405

17 And the priests3548 that bore5375 the ark727 of the covenant1285 of the LORD3068 stood5975 firm3559 on dry2724 ground in the middle8432 of Jordan,3383 and all3605 the Israelites3478 passed5674 over5674 on dry2724 ground, until5704 all3605 the people1471 were passed5674 clean8552 over5674 Jordan.3383

7 Тогда Господь сказал Иисусу: в сей день Я начну прославлять тебя пред очами всех [сынов] Израиля, дабы они узнали, что как Я был с Моисеем, так буду [и] с тобою.

14 И в самом деле, когда народ двинулся из своих шатров, чтобы переходить Иордан, и священники понесли ковчег завета [Господня] пред народом:

14 And it came1961 to pass,5674 when the people5971 removed5265 from their tents,168 to pass5674 over5674 Jordan,3383 and the priests3548 bearing5375 the ark727 of the covenant1285 before6440 the people;5971

15 То, лишь только несущие ковчег [завета Господня] вошли в Иордан, и ноги священников, несших ковчег [завета Господня], омочились в воду [Иордана], (Иордан же выступает из всех берегов своих во все дни жатвы [пшеницы])

15 And as they that bore5375 the ark727 were come935 to Jordan,3383 and the feet7272 of the priests3548 that bore5375 the ark727 were dipped2881 in the brim7097 of the water,4325 (for Jordan3383 overflows4390 all3605 his banks1415 all3605 the time3117 of harvest,7105)

16 Вода, текущая сверху, остановилась и стала стеною, в весьма большом расстоянии от города Адама, который подле Цартана, а текущая в море равнины, в море соленое, ушла и иссякла.

16 That the waters4325 which came3381 down3381 from above4605 stood5975 and rose6965 up on an heap5067 very3966 far7368 from the city5892 Adam,121 that is beside6654 Zaretan:6891 and those that came3381 down3381 toward5921 the sea3220 of the plain,6160 even the salt4417 sea,3220 failed,8552 and were cut3772 off: and the people5971 passed5674 over5674 right against5048 Jericho.3405

17 И народ переходил против Иерихона; священники же, несшие ковчег завета Господня, стояли на суше среди Иордана, твердою ногою. Все [сыны] Израилевы переходили по суше, доколе весь народ не перешел чрез Иордан.

17 And the priests3548 that bore5375 the ark727 of the covenant1285 of the LORD3068 stood5975 firm3559 on dry2724 ground in the middle8432 of Jordan,3383 and all3605 the Israelites3478 passed5674 over5674 on dry2724 ground, until5704 all3605 the people1471 were passed5674 clean8552 over5674 Jordan.3383
