1 Вечный сказал Мусе: – Я покараю фараона и Египет ещё лишь раз. После этого он отпустит вас и не просто отпустит, а выгонит.

2 Скажи народу, чтобы мужчины и женщины попросили у соседей серебряных и золотых вещей.

3 (Вечный расположил сердца египтян к народу Исраила, самого же Мусу приближённые фараона и народ считали великим человеком в Египте.)

4 Муса передал фараону: – Так говорит Вечный: «Около полуночи Я пройду по Египту,

5 и все первенцы в Египте умрут – от первенца фараона, наследника престола, до первенца рабыни у жерновов. Умрёт даже первородный приплод скота.

6 По всему Египту будет громкий плач, подобного которому не бывало прежде и не будет впредь.

7 Но на исраильтян и на их скот даже собака не залает». Тогда вы увидите, какое различие делает Вечный между Египтом и Исраилом.

8 Твои приближённые придут, поклонятся мне и скажут: «Уходи ты и весь народ, который следует за тобой!» После этого я уйду, – и Муса в гневе вышел от фараона.

9 Вечный сказал Мусе: – Я сделаю так, что фараон не станет слушать тебя, и тогда Я покажу Египту ещё больше чудес.

10 Муса и Харун показали фараону все эти чудеса, но Вечный сделал сердце фараона упрямым, и он не отпустил исраильтян из своей страны.

Chapter 11

1 AND the LORD said to Moses, Yet ill I bring one plague more upon Pharaoh, and upon the Egyptians: then I will let you go from here; when he shall let you go, then you must get out altogether.

2 Speak now in the presence of the people that they ask every man of his neighbor, and every woman of her neighbor, jewels of silver and jewels of gold.

3 And the LORD gave the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians. Moreover the man Moses was well honored in the land of Egypt in the sight of Pharaoh's servants and in the sight of the people.

4 And Moses said, Thus says the LORD, About midnight I will go forth into the midst of Egypt;

5 And all the first-born in the land of Egypt shall die, from the first-born of Pharaoh who sits on his throne even to the first-born of the maidservant who sits behind the mill; and all the first-born of the animals.

6 And there shall be a great wailing throughout all the land of Egypt, such as there was none like it, nor shall there be any like it any more.

7 But of the children of Israel no one shall be harmed, not even a dog shall bark against man or animals; that you may know that the LORD distinguishes between the Egyptians and Israel.

8 And all these your servants shall come down to me and bow down themselves to me, saying, Get out, both you and all the people that are with you; and after that I will go out. And Moses departed from the presence of Pharaoh in a great anger.

9 And the LORD said to Moses. Pharaoh shall not listen to you; that my wonders may be multiplied in the land of Egypt.

10 And Moses and Aaron did all these wonders before Pharaoh; but the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart so that he would not let the children of Israel go out of his land.

9 And the LORD said to Moses. Pharaoh shall not listen to you; that my wonders may be multiplied in the land of Egypt.

10 And Moses and Aaron did all these wonders before Pharaoh; but the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart so that he would not let the children of Israel go out of his land.
