2 сказал: «Прошу вас, господа мои, зайдите в дом ко мне, к рабу вашему, чтобы ноги вымыть и переночевать. А рано утром вы сможете продолжить путь свой». «Нет, — ответили они, — мы хотим переночевать на площади». |

4 Они еще не легли спать, как жители города — мужчины Содома, и стар и млад, все без исключения, — окружили дом |
5 и, вызывая к себе Лота, кричали ему: «Где те люди, что сегодня вечером пришли к тебе? Давай их сюда! Мы совокупимся с ними!» |
6 |
7 сказал: «Братья мои, не делайте такого зла! |
8 Послушайте, у меня есть две дочери, еще девушки; давайте я выведу их к вам, и делайте с ними, что хотите, только людей этих не троньте, ведь они как гости вошли под кров дома моего». |
9 |
10 |
11 а людей тех, что столпились у входа в дом, поразили слепотой, так что все они от мала до велика измучились в тщетном поиске входа в дом. |
12 |
13 О горьких жалобах на жителей его знает ГОСПОДЬ, и Он послал нас уничтожить этот город». |
14 |
15 |
16 А Лот всё еще медлил, тогда, по милости ГОСПОДНЕЙ к нему, мужи те взяли за руки его, жену его и обеих дочерей, вывели их и оставили вне города. |
17 Как только они оказались с ними за городом, один из них сказал Лоту: «Теперь беги, чтобы остаться в живых, не оглядывайся назад и нигде в долине не останавливайся, а беги в горы, дабы тебе не погибнуть». |
18 |
19 Молю тебя, вспомни, ты уже был так добр ко мне, рабу твоему, и оказал мне великую милость: спас жизнь мою. Но теперь мне не добежать до гор: бедствие застигнет меня на пути, и я погибну. |
20 Взгляни, вон там недалеко селенье, куда можно убежать, и оно маленькое. Побегу я туда, это ведь такое небольшое селенье — там я останусь в живых!» |
21 |
22 Но ты беги туда скорее, ибо я ничего не смогу сделать, пока ты не будешь там». (Поэтому и называется это селенье Цоар.) |
23 |
24 Тогда по изволению ГОСПОДА дождем пролилась на Содом и Гоморру сера горящая — от ГОСПОДА с неба то было, — |
25 и уничтожил Он полностью города эти, и всю долину, и всех, кто жил на ней, и всё, что росло на земле. |
26 А жена Лота, бежавшая следом за ним к Цоару, оглянулась назад и превратилась в соляной столп. |
27 |
28 Когда он посмотрел в сторону Содома и Гоморры и на всю широко простиравшуюся долину, увидел он густой дым, поднимавшийся с земли, подобный дыму из плавильной печи. |
29 Но, уничтожая города этой долины, Бог не забыл об обещании Аврааму и спас Лота от гибели, когда предал полному уничтожению города, где жил Лот. |
30 |
31 Однажды старшая дочь сказала младшей: «Отец наш стар, и здесь вокруг нет ни одного мужчины, который бы жил с нами, как это в мире водится. |
32 Напоим нашего отца вином, переспим с ним и приживем себе от него детей». |
33 |
34 Наутро старшая дочь сказала младшей: «Прошлой ночью я спала со своим отцом. Напоим его вином и в этот вечер; ты пойдешь и переспишь с ним, и мы приживем себе детей от отца нашего». |
35 В тот вечер они снова напоили отца своего вином. Теперь уже младшая дочь пришла к нему и спала с ним. Он и не чувствовал, когда она легла и когда встала. |
36 |
37 Старшая родила сына и назвала его Моав. Он — предок теперешних моавитян. |
38 И младшая тоже родила сына и назвала его Бен-Амми. Он — предок теперешних аммонитян. |
GenesisChapter 19 |
1 AND there came two angels to Sodom in the evening; and Lot was sitting at the gate of Sodom; and Lot saw them and rose up to meet them; and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground; |
2 And he said, My lords, turn aside, I pray you, into your servant's house and spend the night and wash your feet; then rise up early in the morning and go on your way. And they said, No, we will spend the night in the street. |
3 But Lot urged them greatly; and they turned in to him and entered into his house; and he made them a feast and baked unleavened cakes and they ate. |
4 But before they lay down, the men of the city, that is, the men of Sodom, surrounded the house, both young and old, all the people of the town; |
5 And they called to Lot and said to him, Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us that we may know them. |
6 And Lot went out at the door to them; and he shut the door after him. |
7 And Lot said to them, I pray you, my brethren, do not so wickedly. |
8 Behold now, I have two daughters who have, not known man; let me bring them out to you, and do to them whatever you please; only to these men do nothing; for they have come under the protection of my roof. |
9 And they said, Get away. And they said again, This fellow came to sojourn among us, and now he tries to judge us; and they said to Lot, Now we will deal worse with you than with them. Then Lot fought desperately with them, and they drew near to break the door. |
10 But the men put forth their hands and pulled Lot into the house to them and locked the door. |
11 And they smote the men that were at the door of the house with blindness, from the least to the greatest, so that they became tired trying in vain to find the door. |
12 And the men said to Lot, What are you doing in this place? Now, your sons-in-law, your sons, your daughters, and whatsoever you have in this city, take them out of this place; |
13 For we will destroy this place, because the cry of the oppressed has come before the LORD; and the LORD has sent us to destroy it. |
14 Then Lot went out and spoke to his sons-in-law who married his daughters, and said, Arise, get out of this place; for the LORD will destroy it. But his sons-in-law thought he was joking. |
15 And when the morning dawned, the angels urged Lot, saying, Arise, take your wife and your two daughters who are not given in marriage, lest you be engulfed in the sins of the city. |
16 But Lot lingered; then the angels held his hand, the hand of his wife, and the hands of his two daughters, because the LORD pitied him; and they took him out and set him outside the city. |
17 And it came to pass when they had brought them out of the city, they said to Lot: Now escape for your life; do not look back nor stop anywhere in the plain, but flee to the mountain lest you be consumed. |
18 And Lot said to them, I beseech you, my lords, |
19 Behold now, your servant has found mercy in your sight, and great is the favor which you have shown to me in saving my life; but I cannot escape to the mountain, lest evil overtake me and I die; |
20 Behold now, this town is near to flee to, and it is a little one. Oh, let me escape there, and behold, because it is a little one my life will be spared. |
21 And he said to him, See, I have granted you this thing also that I will not overthrow the city of which you have spoken. |
22 Make haste and escape there; for I cannot do anything till you enter into it. Therefore the name of the city was called Zoar. |
23 The sun was risen upon the earth when Lot entered into Zoar. |
24 Then the LORD rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the presence of the LORD out of heaven; |
25 And he overthrew those cities and all the plain and all the inhabitants of the region and that which grew on the ground. |
26 But his wife looked back from behind him and she became a pillar of salt. |
27 And Abraham rose up early in the morning and went to the place where he had stood before the LORD; |
28 And he looked toward Sodom and Gomorrah and toward all the region of the plain, and beheld, 1o, the smoke of the country went up like the smoke of a furnace. |
29 And it came to pass when God destroyed the cities of the plain that God remembered Abraham and sent Lot out of the midst of the devastated region, when he overthrew the cities wherein Lot dwelt. |
30 And Lot went up out of Zoar and dwelt in the mountain, and his two daughters were with him; for he was afraid to live in Zoar; and he dwelt in a cave, both he and his two daughters. |
31 And the first-born said to the younger, Behold our father is old and there is not a man in the land to take us for wives after the manner of all the earth: |
32 Come, let us make our father drink wine and we will lie with him so that we may raise an offspring from our father. |
33 And they made their father drink wine that night; and the first-born went in and lay with her father; and he did not know when she lay down, nor when she arose. |
34 And it came to pass on the next day, the first-born said to the younger, Behold. I lay last night with my father; let us make him drink wine tonight also: and then you go in and lie with him so that we may raise offspring from our father. |
35 So they made their father drink wine that night also; and the younger went in and lay with him; and he did not know when she lay down, nor when she arose. |
36 Thus were both the daughters of Lot with child by their father. |
37 And the first-born bore a son and called his name Moab; he is the father of the Moabites to this day. |
38 And the younger also bore a son and called his name Bar-ammi; he is the father of the Ammonites to this day. |

5 And they called to Lot and said to him, Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us that we may know them. |

6 And Lot went out at the door to them; and he shut the door after him. |

7 And Lot said to them, I pray you, my brethren, do not so wickedly. |

8 Behold now, I have two daughters who have, not known man; let me bring them out to you, and do to them whatever you please; only to these men do nothing; for they have come under the protection of my roof. |

12 And the men said to Lot, What are you doing in this place? Now, your sons-in-law, your sons, your daughters, and whatsoever you have in this city, take them out of this place; |
13 О горьких жалобах на жителей его знает ГОСПОДЬ, и Он послал нас уничтожить этот город». |
13 For we will destroy this place, because the cry of the oppressed has come before the LORD; and the LORD has sent us to destroy it. |

14 Then Lot went out and spoke to his sons-in-law who married his daughters, and said, Arise, get out of this place; for the LORD will destroy it. But his sons-in-law thought he was joking. |

17 And it came to pass when they had brought them out of the city, they said to Lot: Now escape for your life; do not look back nor stop anywhere in the plain, but flee to the mountain lest you be consumed. |

18 And Lot said to them, I beseech you, my lords, |
19 Молю тебя, вспомни, ты уже был так добр ко мне, рабу твоему, и оказал мне великую милость: спас жизнь мою. Но теперь мне не добежать до гор: бедствие застигнет меня на пути, и я погибну. |
19 Behold now, your servant has found mercy in your sight, and great is the favor which you have shown to me in saving my life; but I cannot escape to the mountain, lest evil overtake me and I die; |
20 Взгляни, вон там недалеко селенье, куда можно убежать, и оно маленькое. Побегу я туда, это ведь такое небольшое селенье — там я останусь в живых!» |
20 Behold now, this town is near to flee to, and it is a little one. Oh, let me escape there, and behold, because it is a little one my life will be spared. |
21 |
21 And he said to him, See, I have granted you this thing also that I will not overthrow the city of which you have spoken. |
22 Но ты беги туда скорее, ибо я ничего не смогу сделать, пока ты не будешь там». (Поэтому и называется это селенье Цоар.) |
22 Make haste and escape there; for I cannot do anything till you enter into it. Therefore the name of the city was called Zoar. |
23 |
23 The sun was risen upon the earth when Lot entered into Zoar. |
24 Тогда по изволению ГОСПОДА дождем пролилась на Содом и Гоморру сера горящая — от ГОСПОДА с неба то было, — |

36 Thus were both the daughters of Lot with child by their father. |
