Глава 5

1 Всякий первосвященник, из людей на служение призываемый, для людей и предстает перед Богом, чтобы приносить дары и жертвы за грехи.

2 Он должен уметь быть снисходительным и к тем, кто просто ничего не знает, и к тем, кто сбился с пути. Он ведь и сам не свободен от слабостей,

3 а потому должен приносить жертвы не только за грехи народа, но и за свои.

4 Никто сам не может занять такое почетное место, если не призван Богом, как в свое время Аарон был призван.

5 Христос тоже не присвоил Себе высокую честь быть Первосвященником, но получил ее от Того, Кто сказал Ему: «Ты — Сын Мой, а Я отныне — Отец Твой».

6 И в другом месте Бог тоже говорит: «Ты священник навеки по чину Мелхиседека».

7 В последние дни пребывания Своего на земле во плоти Иисус в слезах, стеная, принес прошения и молитвы Тому, Кто мог бы спасти Его от смерти. В благоговении Своем Он был услышан.

8 Сын Божий, Иисус, научился тогда через страдания послушанию беспредельному,

9 и так был Он окончательно приготовлен к тому, чтобы стать Источником вечного спасения для всех послушных Ему.

10 Потому и провозгласил Его Бог Первосвященником по чину Мелхиседека.

11 Многое еще мы могли бы сказать об этом, но иные вещи трудно объяснить вам теперь, потому что вы, оказывается, не готовы слушать.

12 Вы должны были бы уже сами стать учителями сегодня, но вместо этого снова нуждаетесь в том, чтобы вас учили основам основ Божественных откровений. Вы опять нуждаетесь в молоке, [а] не в твердой пище.

13 Понятно, что всякий молоком питаемый не опытен в истине, он ведь младенец.

14 А твердая пища, она — для зрелых, для тех, в ком опытом развита способность отличать доброе от злого.

Hebrews

Chapter 5

1 FOR every high priest chosen from among men is ordained on behalf of men about things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins:

2 He is one who can humble himself and have compassion on those who are ignorant and go astray: for he himself also is subject to weaknesses.

3 Because of these, he is obliged, just as he offers sacrifices for the people, likewise to offer for himself on account of his own sins.

4 And no man takes this honor unto himself, but only he who is called of God as was Aar'on.

5 So also Christ did not glorify himself by becoming a high priest, but he glorified him who said to him, Thou art my Son, Today have I begotten thee.

6 And he said also in another place, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchis'e- dec.

7 Even when he was clothed in the flesh, he offered prayers and supplications, with vehement cries and tears, to him who was able to save him from death; and verily he was heard.

8 And though he were a good Son, because of fear and suffering which he endured, he learned obedience.

9 And he grew to be perfect, and became the author of life everlasting to all who obey him;

10 So he was called by God, a high priest after the order of Mel-chis'e-dec.

11 Now concerning this very Mel-chis'edec, we have much to say, but it is difficult to explain because you are dull of comprehension.

12 By now you should be teachers because you have been a long time in training: But even now you need to be taught the primary writings of the word of God; but you are still in need of milk, and not strong meat.

13 For every man whose food is milk, is unfamiliar with the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.

14 But strong meat belongs to those who are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

11 Now concerning this very Mel-chis'edec, we have much to say, but it is difficult to explain because you are dull of comprehension.
