Глава 9

1 Потом я слышал, как Он позвал громким голосом: «Пусть подойдут ближе те, кто поставлен наказать этот город, и пусть у каждого в руке будет губительное оружие!»

2 И вот от Верхних ворот, выходящих на север, спустились шестеро, и в руке у каждого было оружие уничтожения. Среди них был еще один, одетый в льняные одежды, и на поясе у него была чернильница писца. Они вошли и встали возле медного жертвенника.

3 И Слава Бога Израилева, что пребывала на херувиме, поднялась и переместилась к порогу Храма. И позвал ГОСПОДЬ того, кто был одет в льняные одежды, с чернильницей писца на поясе.

4 Он велел ему: «Пройди по всему городу, по Иерусалиму, и начерти знак на лбу у тех людей, которые плачут и скорбят обо всех мерзостях, что там творятся».

5 А остальным Он сказал громко, чтобы и я слышал: «Ступайте следом за ним по городу и убивайте, не жалея никого и не щадя,

6 убивайте и уничтожайте стариков, юношей и дев, женщин и детей — но не трогайте ни одного из тех, на ком будет этот знак! С Моего Святилища начните». И они начали со старейшин, которые находились перед Храмом.

7 После этого Он сказал тем шестерым: «Теперь оскверните сам Храм и наполните дворы его трупами, а потом идите дальше!» И они пошли и стали убивать жителей города.

8 И пока они убивали жителей в городе, я оставался один. И пал я ниц и закричал: «О Владыка ГОСПОДИ! Неужели Ты погубишь весь остаток Израиля, изливая ярость Свою на Иерусалим?!»

9 Он ответил мне: «Велики грехи народа Израилева и Иудина, слишком велики! Эта земля полна крови, этот город полон неправды. Ибо говорят они: „ГОСПОДЬ оставил эту землю. ГОСПОДЬ не видит…“

10 Вот за это Я не пощажу их и не помилую, обрушу их поступки им же на головы».

11 В это время тот, кто был одет в льняные одежды, с чернильницей писца на поясе, вернулся и сказал: «Я сделал всё, как Ты велел мне».

1 He cried7121 also in my ears241 with a loud1419 voice,6963 saying,559 Cause them that have charge6486 over the city5892 to draw near,7126 even every man376 with his destroying4892 weapon3627 in his hand.3027

2 And, behold,2009 six8337 men582 came935 from the way1870 of the higher5945 gate,8179 which834 lies toward the north,6828 and every man376 a slaughter4660 weapon3627 in his hand;3027 and one259 man376 among8432 them was clothed3847 with linen,906 with a writer's5608 inkhorn7083 by his side:4975 and they went935 in, and stood5975 beside681 the brazen5178 altar.4196

3 And the glory3519 of the God430 of Israel3478 was gone5927 up from the cherub,3742 whereupon834 5921 he was, to the threshold4670 of the house.1004 And he called7121 to the man376 clothed3847 with linen,906 which834 had the writer's5608 inkhorn7083 by his side;4975

4 And the LORD3068 said559 to him, Go5674 through5674 the middle8432 of the city,5892 through the middle8432 of Jerusalem,3389 and set8427 a mark8420 on the foreheads4696 of the men582 that sigh584 and that cry602 for all3605 the abominations8441 that be done6213 in the middle8432 thereof.

5 And to the others428 he said559 in my hearing,241 Go5674 you after310 him through the city,5892 and smite:5221 let not your eye5869 spare,2347 neither408 have you pity:2550

6 Slay2026 utterly old2205 and young,970 both maids,1330 and little2945 children,2945 and women:802 but come5066 not near5066 any3605 man376 on whom834 is the mark;8420 and begin2490 at my sanctuary.4720 Then they began2490 at the ancient2204 men582 which834 were before6440 the house.1004

7 And he said559 to them, Defile2930 the house,1004 and fill4390 the courts2691 with the slain:2491 go3318 you forth.3318 And they went3318 forth,3318 and slew5221 in the city.5892

8 And it came1961 to pass, while they were slaying5221 them, and I was left,7604 that I fell5307 on my face,6440 and cried,2199 and said,559 Ah162 Lord136 GOD!3069 will you destroy7843 all3605 the residue7611 of Israel3478 in your pouring8210 out of your fury2534 on Jerusalem?3389

9 Then said559 he to me, The iniquity5771 of the house1004 of Israel3478 and Judah3063 is exceeding3966 great,1419 and the land776 is full4390 of blood,1818 and the city5892 full4390 of perverseness:4297 for they say,559 The LORD3068 has forsaken5800 the earth,776 and the LORD3068 sees7200 not.

10 And as for me also,1571 my eye5869 shall not spare,2347 neither3808 will I have pity,2550 but I will recompense5414 their way1870 on their head.7218

11 And, behold,2009 the man376 clothed3847 with linen,906 which834 had the inkhorn7083 by his side,4975 reported7725 the matter,1697 saying,559 I have done6213 as you have commanded6680 me.
