2 Wherein1722 3757 in time4218 past you walked4043 according2596 to the course165 of this5127 world,2889 according2596 to the prince758 of the power1849 of the air,109 the spirit4151 that now3568 works1754 in the children5207 of disobedience:543

3 Among1722 whom3739 also2532 we all3956 had our conversation390 in times4218 past in the lusts1939 of our flesh,4561 fulfilling4160 the desires2307 of the flesh4561 and of the mind;1271 and were by nature5449 the children5043 of wrath,3709 even2532 as others.3062

4 But God,2316 who is rich4145 in mercy,1656 for his great4183 love26 with which3739 he loved25 us,

5 Even2532 when we were dead3498 in sins,3900 has quickened4806 us together4806 with Christ,5547 (by grace5485 you are saved;4982)

6 And has raised4891 us up together,4891 and made4776 us sit4776 together4776 in heavenly2032 places in Christ5547 Jesus:2424

7 That in the ages165 to come1904 he might show1731 the exceeding5235 riches4149 of his grace5485 in his kindness5544 toward1909 us through1722 Christ5547 Jesus.2424

8 For by grace5485 are you saved4982 through1223 faith;4102 and that not of yourselves:5216 it is the gift1435 of God:2316

9 Not of works,2041 lest2443 3361 any5100 man should boast.2744

15 Having abolished2673 in his flesh4561 the enmity,2189 even the law3551 of commandments1785 contained in ordinances;1378 for to make2936 in himself1438 of two1417 one1520 new2537 man,444 so making4160 peace;1515

16 And that he might reconcile604 both297 to God2316 in one1520 body4983 by the cross,4716 having slain615 the enmity2189 thereby:1722

17 And came2064 and preached2097 peace1515 to you which3588 were afar3112 off, and to them that were near.1451

19 Now3767 therefore686 you are no3765 more3765 strangers3581 and foreigners,3941 but fellow citizens4847 with the saints,40 and of the household3609 of God;2316

21 In whom3739 all3956 the building3619 fitly4883 framed4883 together4883 grows837 to an holy40 temple3485 in the Lord:2962

1 І вас, що мертві були через ваші провини й гріхи,

2 в яких ви колись проживали за звича́єм віку цього́, за волею князя, що панує в повітрі, духа, що працює тепер у неслухня́них,

3 між якими й усі ми проживали колись у пожадливостях нашого тіла, як чинили волю тіла й думо́к, і з природи були дітьми́ гніву, як і інші, -

4 Бог же, багатий на милосердя, через Свою превелику любов, що нею Він нас полюбив,

5 і нас, що мертві були через прогріхи, оживив ра́зом із Христом, — спасені ви благода́ттю, -

6 і ра́зом із Ним воскресив, і ра́зом із Ним посадив на небесних місцях у Христі Ісусі,

7 щоб у наступних віках показати безмірне багатство благода́ті Своєї в до́брості до нас у Христі Ісусі.

8 Бо спасені ви благода́ттю через віру, а це не від вас, то дар Божий,

9 не від діл, щоб ніхто не хвалився.

10 Бо ми — Його тво́риво, ство́рені в Христі Ісусі на добрі діла, які Бог наперед приготува́в, щоб ми в них перебува́ли.

11 Отож, пам'ятайте, що ви, колись тілом погани, що вас так звані рукотворно „обрізані“ на тілі звуть „необрізаними“,

12 що ви того ча́су були́ без Христа, відлучені від громади ізра́їльської, і чужі заповітам обі́тниці, не мавши надії й без Бога на світі.

13 А тепер у Христі Ісусі ви, що колись далекі були́, стали близькі́ Христовою кров'ю.

14 Він бо наш мир, що вчинив із двох одне й зруйнував середи́нну перегороду, ворожнечу, Своїм тілом, -

15 Він Своєю наукою знищив Зако́на заповідей, щоб з обох збудувати Собою одно́го ново́го чоловіка, мир чинивши,

16 і хрестом примирити із Богом обох в однім тілі, ворожнечу на ньому забивши.

17 І, прийшовши, „Він благовісти́в мир вам, далеким, і мир близьки́м“,

18 бо обоє Ним маємо при́ступ у Дусі однім до Отця.

19 Отже, ви вже не чужі й не прихо́дьки, а співгорожа́ни святим, і домашні для Бога,

20 збудовані на основі апо́столів і пророків, де наріжним каменем є Сам Ісус Христос,

21 що на ньому вся буді́вля, улад побудована, росте в святий храм у Господі,

22 що на ньому і ви ра́зом будуєтеся Духом на оселю Божу.

6 і ра́зом із Ним воскресив, і ра́зом із Ним посадив на небесних місцях у Христі Ісусі,

7 щоб у наступних віках показати безмірне багатство благода́ті Своєї в до́брості до нас у Христі Ісусі.
