Chapter 3

1 NOW Moses was feeding the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian; and he led the flock to the desert and came to the mountain of God, even to Horeb.

2 And the angel of the LORD appeared to him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush; and he looked, and, behold, the bush was on fire, and the bush was not consumed.

3 And Moses said, I will now turn aside and see this great sight, why the bush is not burned.

4 And when the LORD saw that he turned aside to see, God called to him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I.

5 And he said, Do not draw near; take your shoes from off your feet, for the place whereon you are standing is holy ground.

6 Moreover he said, I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look at God.

7 And the LORD said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people who are in Egypt, and I have heard their cry because of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows;

8 And I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land to a good and large land, to a land flowing with milk and honey; to the land of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites.

9 Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel is come to me; and I have also seen the oppression wherewith the Egyptians oppress them.

10 Come now, therefore, and I will send you to Pharaoh, that you may bring forth my people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt.

11 And Moses said to God, Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh, and that I should bring the children of Israel out of Egypt?

12 And God said to him, I will be with you; and this shall be a sign to you that I have sent you: when you have brought forth the people out of Egypt, you shall worship God upon this mountain.

13 And Moses said to God, Behold, when I go to the children of Israel and say to them, The God of your fathers has sent me to you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say to them?

14 And God said to Moses, I am AHIAH ASHAR HIGH (that is, THE LIVING GOD); and he said, Thus you shall say to the children of Israel: AHIAH has sent me to you.

15 And God said moreover to Moses, Thus shall you say to the children of Israel: The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you; this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial to all generations.

16 Go and gather the elders of Israel together, and say to them, The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, appeared to me, saying, I have surely remembered you and seen that which is done to you in Egypt;

17 And I have said, I will bring you up out of the affliction of the Egyptians to the land of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites, to a land flowing with milk and honey.

18 And they shall hearken to your voice; and you and the elders of Israel shall go to the king of Egypt, and you shall say to him, The LORD God of the Hebrews has appeared to us; and now let us go three days' journey into the wilderness that we may sacrifice to the LORD our God.

19 And I know that the king of Egypt will not let you go, except by force.

20 And I will stretch out my hand and smite the Egyptians with all kinds of wonders which I will do among them; and after that Pharaoh will let you go.

21 And I will give this people favor in the sight of the Egyptians; and it shall come to pass that, when you go, you shall not go empty-handed;

22 But every woman shall borrow of her neighbor and of her that sojourns in her house, jewels of silver and jewels of gold and clothes; and you shall put them on your sons, and on your daughters; and you shall despoil the Egyptians.

1 Моисей пас отару своего тестя Иофора, мадианского жреца. Он повел ее далеко в пустыню и пришел к Хориву, Божьей горе.

2 Там ему явился Ангел Господень в пламени из среды горящего тернового куста. Моисей увидел, что объятый огнем куст не сгорал,

3 и подумал: «Пойду и посмотрю на это великое чудо — почему куст не сгорает».

4 Когда Господь увидел, что Моисей подошел посмотреть, Он позвал его из куста: — Моисей! Моисей! Моисей ответил: — Вот я.

5 — Не подходи ближе, — сказал Бог. — Сними свою обувь, потому что место, на котором ты стоишь, — святая земля.

6 Он сказал: — Я — Бог твоего отца, Бог Авраама, Бог Исаака и Бог Иакова. Услышав это, Моисей закрыл лицо, потому что боялся смотреть на Бога.

7 Господь сказал: — Я увидел угнетение Моего народа в Египте и услышал, как стонут они под властью надсмотрщиков, и узнал об их муках.

8 Я сошел, чтобы освободить их от ига египтян и вывести их из этой земли в добрую, просторную землю, где течет молоко и мед, — в край хананеев, хеттов, аморреев, ферезеев, хиввеев и иевусеев.

9 И вот, вопль израильтян дошел до Меня. Я увидел, как угнетают их египтяне.

10 А теперь иди, Я посылаю тебя к фараону, чтобы ты вывел Мой народ, израильтян, из Египта.

11 Но Моисей сказал Богу: — Кто я такой, чтобы пойти к фараону и вывести израильтян из Египта?

12 Бог ответил: — Я буду с тобой. Вот тебе знак, что Я послал тебя: когда ты выведешь народ из Египта, вы будете служить Богу на этой горе.

13 Моисей сказал Богу: — Вот, я пойду к израильтянам и скажу им: «Бог ваших отцов послал меня к вам», а они спросят: «Как Его имя?» Что мне ответить им?

14 Бог ответил Моисею: — Я Тот, Кто Я Есть. Скажи израильтянам: «„Я Есть“ послал меня к вам».

15 Еще Бог сказал Моисею: — Скажи израильтянам: «Господь, Бог ваших отцов — Бог Авраама, Бог Исаака и Бог Иакова, послал меня к вам». Вот Мое имя навеки. Так Меня будут называть из поколения в поколение.

16 Иди, собери старейшин Израиля и скажи им: «Господь, Бог ваших отцов — Бог Авраама, Бог Исаака и Бог Иакова, явился мне и сказал: „Я наблюдал за вами и увидел, как с вами обращаются в Египте.

17 Я обещаю вывести вас из Египта, где вы бедствуете, в землю хананеев, хеттов, аморреев, ферезеев, иевусеев и хиввеев — в землю, где течет молоко и мед“».

18 Старейшины Израиля послушают тебя. Тогда ты и старейшины пойдете к царю Египта и скажете ему: «Господь, Бог евреев, явился нам. Отпусти нас на три дня в пустыню принести жертвы Господу, нашему Богу».

19 Я знаю, царь Египта не отпустит вас, если не принудить его могучей рукой.

20 Поэтому Я протяну руку и поражу Египет чудесами, которые Я в нем совершу. После этого он отпустит вас.

21 Я сделаю так, что египтяне хорошо отнесутся к вам и вы не уйдете с пустыми руками.

22 Пусть каждая женщина попросит у соседки-египтянки и у любой другой женщины, живущей в соседнем доме, серебряных и золотых вещей и одежды. Вы наденете это на своих сыновей и дочерей. Так вы оберете египтян.

3 And Moses said, I will now turn aside and see this great sight, why the bush is not burned.

3 и подумал: «Пойду и посмотрю на это великое чудо — почему куст не сгорает».

4 And when the LORD saw that he turned aside to see, God called to him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I.

4 Когда Господь увидел, что Моисей подошел посмотреть, Он позвал его из куста: — Моисей! Моисей! Моисей ответил: — Вот я.

9 И вот, вопль израильтян дошел до Меня. Я увидел, как угнетают их египтяне.

10 Come now, therefore, and I will send you to Pharaoh, that you may bring forth my people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt.

10 А теперь иди, Я посылаю тебя к фараону, чтобы ты вывел Мой народ, израильтян, из Египта.

11 And Moses said to God, Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh, and that I should bring the children of Israel out of Egypt?

11 Но Моисей сказал Богу: — Кто я такой, чтобы пойти к фараону и вывести израильтян из Египта?

12 And God said to him, I will be with you; and this shall be a sign to you that I have sent you: when you have brought forth the people out of Egypt, you shall worship God upon this mountain.

12 Бог ответил: — Я буду с тобой. Вот тебе знак, что Я послал тебя: когда ты выведешь народ из Египта, вы будете служить Богу на этой горе.

13 And Moses said to God, Behold, when I go to the children of Israel and say to them, The God of your fathers has sent me to you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say to them?

13 Моисей сказал Богу: — Вот, я пойду к израильтянам и скажу им: «Бог ваших отцов послал меня к вам», а они спросят: «Как Его имя?» Что мне ответить им?

14 And God said to Moses, I am AHIAH ASHAR HIGH (that is, THE LIVING GOD); and he said, Thus you shall say to the children of Israel: AHIAH has sent me to you.

14 Бог ответил Моисею: — Я Тот, Кто Я Есть. Скажи израильтянам: «„Я Есть“ послал меня к вам».

15 And God said moreover to Moses, Thus shall you say to the children of Israel: The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you; this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial to all generations.

15 Еще Бог сказал Моисею: — Скажи израильтянам: «Господь, Бог ваших отцов — Бог Авраама, Бог Исаака и Бог Иакова, послал меня к вам». Вот Мое имя навеки. Так Меня будут называть из поколения в поколение.

16 Иди, собери старейшин Израиля и скажи им: «Господь, Бог ваших отцов — Бог Авраама, Бог Исаака и Бог Иакова, явился мне и сказал: „Я наблюдал за вами и увидел, как с вами обращаются в Египте.

17 And I have said, I will bring you up out of the affliction of the Egyptians to the land of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites, to a land flowing with milk and honey.

17 Я обещаю вывести вас из Египта, где вы бедствуете, в землю хананеев, хеттов, аморреев, ферезеев, иевусеев и хиввеев — в землю, где течет молоко и мед“».

18 And they shall hearken to your voice; and you and the elders of Israel shall go to the king of Egypt, and you shall say to him, The LORD God of the Hebrews has appeared to us; and now let us go three days' journey into the wilderness that we may sacrifice to the LORD our God.

18 Старейшины Израиля послушают тебя. Тогда ты и старейшины пойдете к царю Египта и скажете ему: «Господь, Бог евреев, явился нам. Отпусти нас на три дня в пустыню принести жертвы Господу, нашему Богу».

19 And I know that the king of Egypt will not let you go, except by force.

19 Я знаю, царь Египта не отпустит вас, если не принудить его могучей рукой.

20 And I will stretch out my hand and smite the Egyptians with all kinds of wonders which I will do among them; and after that Pharaoh will let you go.

20 Поэтому Я протяну руку и поражу Египет чудесами, которые Я в нем совершу. После этого он отпустит вас.

21 Я сделаю так, что египтяне хорошо отнесутся к вам и вы не уйдете с пустыми руками.
